4-Star Hotels in Kagawa Prefecture, Japan

This hotel boasts an excellent location, making travel incredibly convenient. The JR station, bus stops, and highway bus terminal are all nearby. What's even better is that the ferry terminal is just a few minutes' walk away. In the evenings, you can enjoy a refreshing sea breeze and admire the night views at Takamatsu Port. The breakfast is abundant and delicious, and the dining staff are particularly warm and attentive! If I ever visit Takamatsu again, I would definitely choose this hotel!

I booked an accessible room, and it was genuinely spacious. It's really comfortable to stay in a 35 sqm room in Japan. There was a slight odor when I first entered the room, but it cleared up after I turned on the air purifier. Downside: The soundproofing isn't great. Upside: Everything else is a plus. The location is excellent. There's an airport shuttle right downstairs, which costs 1000 yen and goes directly to the airport. There are frequent services, almost hourly. Location: Whether you're going to the airport, Takamatsu Port for island hopping, or the JR station, everything is within walking distance. It's a 12-minute walk to Takamatsu Port, which was perfect for our island-hopping itinerary. Mitsukoshi department store is just a few minutes' walk from the hotel, and it has an LV store with plenty of stock. There are also many choices for drugstores, restaurants, and cafes. The room was cleaned daily. One time, I forgot to hang the 'please clean' sign and thought it wouldn't be done, but when I returned to the room, it felt completely refreshed, which was a lovely surprise. I forgot to take photos of the room, so I've included a picture of the beautiful blue sea and sky instead.

The hotel rooms were impeccably clean, with comfortable beds and modern facilities. Both the bathrooms and the overall environment were maintained pristine and peaceful. The staff were polite and attentive, even assisting us in booking an early morning taxi to the Shodoshima pier. However, for guests without a car, please note that you'll need to consult the bus schedule at the stop right outside the hotel entrance to reach the downtown area.

The room is specious for keeping 2 medium sized suitcases. The location is convenient with a Lawson and a supermarket downstairs. Staff are friendly. The only imperfect thing is the public bath is so small which could allow 4-5 guests to use.

The staff of Olivean Shodoshima Yuhigaoka Hotel are professional and considerable. Their service are excellent, especially 1) The shuttle bus driver (morning shift strong man, forgot asking his name). When we arrived at Shodoshima Ferry Pier at 11:00am on April 7, we found a hotel shuttle bus, but not sure if it's the one of our staying hotel. We asked the driver if it's the one that waiting to pick us up. He said yes, but the hotel check-in time should be 3:00pm in the afternoon. He suggested us to have the sightseeing first and helped register the afternoon time for picking us instead. Also, he suggested taking our hand carry bags to the hotel front desk to avoid we carrying too heavy bags while travelling. 2) The lady staff (sorry for forgetting her name) at the lobby hall, who was very proactive. She came over immediately to help taking photos for us when she found we're taking a selfie. She also served us with free drinks for enjoying the sunset at the hall. 3) The staff at the reception desk are very professional. They helped us for check-in, explained the details of the time for meals, and provided all the information required. 4) The foods for dinner & breakfast buffet are very nice and yummy. The restaurant is clean and tidy. Overall, Olivean Shodoshima Yuhigaoka Hotel is a very professional and comfortable accommodation for stay. We're pleased and feel glad choosing this hotel.

Because it is a newly opened hotel, there are not many evaluations on the Internet. At first, I was a little worried, but as soon as I entered the lobby, I was greatly relieved. Not only did there be free small points for us to use, the service staff saw us with children, and took the initiative to send us two boxes of apple juice. There is a hot spring in the hotel, and there is no need to find an extra place to soak in the soup outside. The oolong noodles for supper are also delicious! We chose the quadruple room, the space is very large (including toilets, bathrooms), the most surprising thing for me is that the curtains are opened to see a very beautiful Japanese-style scenery, just looking at the window feel open. I think the only fly in the ointment is that the breakfast is very small and very ordinary, but at this price, I can live in such a great hotel, I still feel that the price is very high!

Nice hotel, good room, historical value, very clean, the front desk clerk is also very good, although the hotel has stairs, but the two waiters worked hard to help us move the itinerary to the room, thank you very much! But this hotel does not have a formal counter to check in, so we also need to pay attention to the brand nearby before seeing which store to go to to handle the check in service. The most unacceptable thing is that when booking this hotel, the check-in payment has been deducted, and the payment will be officially made when you arrive at the local area, and then you have to wait for 3-35 days before arrange the original return. I have waited for a month so far, and there is no refund. According to the customer service of trip.com, the payment has not been refunded because the hotel has not made a loan, so I have to wait. I can't understand this very well, so I can't get a full score on the service ...

This is my third time staying at this hotel, and this time I stayed for four nights. The open-air bath was clean and very comfortable, and the sauna was also very good. Our room was cleaned every day, and we were very satisfied with the careful work. I used the restaurant last time, and the breakfast buffet had a wide variety of items and everything was delicious, and the Japanese food was also very good. It was a satisfying stay at a reasonable price. I would like to stay again. Thank you.

괜찮습니다만 료칸을 기대하고 가면 아쉬울 수 있습니다. 전날 키요미산소에서 숙박을 해서 그런지 부족한 점들이 보였지만 충분히 만족할만한 숙소이긴 합니다. 인기가 많아 식사를 하지 못해 아쉽네요

這次在 GOKAN KOTOHIRA 的兩晚住宿體驗非常出色，整體感覺遠超預期。酒店位於琴平町中心位置，步行到主要景點與餐廳都非常方便，對第一次來琴平的旅客來說十分友善。 我們入住的是金屬房（Metal Room），房間設計感強烈，乾淨整潔，空間規劃非常合理。床鋪舒適，睡眠質素很好，晚上非常安靜，完全沒有受到外界干擾。房內 Wi‑Fi 穩定快速，對需要上網工作或查資料的旅客來說非常方便。 雖然住宿沒有傳統前台，但入住指示清晰易明，整個自助入住流程順暢無壓力。酒店亦提供免費泊車，對自駕的住客來說非常貼心。 整體來說，這是一間兼具設計感、舒適度與便利性的住宿。無論是位置、房間質素、設施還是入住體驗都令人非常滿意。因為房間分兩層而出入口及浴室位於下層，行動不便或是腳力有限的朋友們舒適感可能會差些少，但仍非常推薦給計劃到琴平旅行的朋友，下次來香川一定會再次選擇這裡。
