5-Star Hotels in Gansu, China

I stayed in Qilihe District for a temporary meeting and booked this five-story hotel by chance. After staying there for three days, I unexpectedly discovered that this hotel without a gorgeous lobby actually interpreted the word ”comfortable” so solidly. As a frequent business traveler, I would like to share some real experiences for reference. **Perfect space planning** Although the five-story main building of the hotel is not magnificent, the king-size bed room on the fourth floor is about 40 square meters. The floor-to-ceiling windows are equipped with double-layer soundproof glass. The green shade of the old sycamore outside the window just filters the street noise. I especially like the three-separation design of the bathroom - the shower area is separated to avoid water vapor, and the invisible clothesline on the side of the washbasin is particularly friendly to business travelers. The bedside control panel combines lights, curtains and air conditioning, and the actual response is sensitive and has no delay. **Humanized flexible breakfast time** The breakfast room is located on the side of the courtyard on the first floor. The meal time from 7:00 to 9:30 takes into account both morning runners and those who catch up on sleep. There are take-away paper cups next to the freshly ground coffee machine, which is suitable for guests who need to go out in a hurry. In addition to regular Chinese and Western meals, the hot food area rotates two freshly made local snacks every day (the beef noodles I tasted on Wednesday were particularly authentic). The waiter will take the initiative to pull chairs for guests with full plates, and the food traceability notice board hanging above the dining table is a plus. **Service granularity is worth savoring** When I returned to the room the next afternoon, the trash can in the room was replaced with a new trash bag, and the half bottle of mineral water I didn't finish was still in place - this thorough and restrained cleaning sense is very comfortable. **Differentiation value behind the price difference** Observing the room types of different prices, it was found that the basic room of 400 yuan is equipped with a smart toilet and capsule coffee machine, while the suite of 1,500 yuan is equipped with a mini conference room and air purification system. This pricing strategy that does not force consumption upgrades allows guests with limited budgets to get a complete basic experience. When checking out, I tried their fast track, and it took no more than two minutes from handing back the room card to getting the electronic invoice. 🌹 When I left the hotel, I saw a sentence on the green wall at the front desk: ”Let your stay become a slice of life”, and suddenly I understood their intention to make the toothbrush set into a drawer for storage. There is no butler-style service, but every link is like an automatic sensor light - it lights up naturally when needed. This kind of pressure-free comfort may be the gentleness that modern travelers need.

Very pleasant hotel for a longer stay. Our studio suite was spacious, well equipped, had a stunning view (floor 42), and was very clean. Pool and gym were excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Not all staff speaks english, but with the help of translation apps, communication was no problem. Breakfast was versatile with Chinese as well as international dishes, well prepared and for a very reasonable prize. Buffet and a la carte dining was enjoyable as well. Unfortunately, in the lounge wine was offered only by bottle not by glas. The hotel is situated in the University area, with a nice park close-by and a subway station in walking distance.

The Hyatt is the best Hotel in LanZhou. Not only because of zero distance to the yellow river, but guest services.  Because the guest room was not available, and we needed to visit provincial museums first, I’ve got guidance for luggage storage, provided local cuisine, tourist places, and reserved us a higher floor Guest room. Then we enjoyed our provincial museum, delicious local food, then we enjoyed the gorgeous view of lunch and the yellow river from the guestroom. I would definitely choose Hyatt again. And I appreciate Rita who provided very warm professional help for us! By the way, the breakfasts are very enjoyable with local special offers.

Picking this hotel is the right decision. The overall stay experience is very satisfactory! It is extremely suitable for my needs. 1. The hotel is conveniently located, only 15-20 minutes drive from the airport, which is a blessing for passengers on early and late flights, without worrying about the traffic problem of catching the plane; 2. The service at the front desk is considerate and warm, Miaomiao is warm and thoughtful and takes the initiative to greet, and the communication is pleasant😃 3. The room is large and clean, and it is very comfortable to live in, which adds a lot to this trip. Overall, this hotel is not only in a great location, but also has a good service. It is highly recommended to friends who need to catch a flight and pursue comfortable accommodation!

The hotel is located perfectly. It is in the center and on top of a shopping mall with many dining options. We were warmly welcomed by the staff. The rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast was very good and offered different dishes daily. Overall very satisfied, I would recommend this hotel to other travelers visiting Jiayuguan.

Excellent place to stay in Dunhuang! Room is big but cozy and decoration is exquisite. Breakfast is hearty and you can have sparkling wine early morning 😀 Price is on the high side but hotel made up for it with top notch services! At night they have several cultural activities in offer. I was able to join 2 of them and it was pretty fun! Plus they have me free cocktail on my last night there. Two thumbs up 👍👍

It was my first time staying at a newly opened hotel, and I was nervously dreading the minor quirks of the ”new hotel” break-in period. To my surprise, not only was there no setbacks throughout the entire stay, but I was completely captivated by the comprehensive care and attention to detail! Entering the room, the ”brand new” comfort instantly washed away any fatigue. The bedding was freshly unpacked, fluffy and soft. The moment I lay down, it felt like sinking into a cloud, and even my breathing became lighter. Even the air conditioning vents, where dirt and grime are most likely to accumulate, were spotlessly clean, with not a speck of dust to be found. This level of attention to detail surpasses even that of many established hotels. Even more surprising was the room's complete smart toilet and Xiaodu smart phone, which allows for voice control of the lights and curtains. The toiletries were also a complete set of high-quality items. From the moment I checked in, I didn't have to worry about any details. The service was truly heartwarming. Upon check-in, the front desk staff smiled and offered to upgrade us to a high-floor room with a view. They also handed us a hand-curated travel guide, densely packed with must-try local restaurants and off-the-beaten-path spots, even clearly stating the best times to avoid crowds. This saved us a whole day of researching. On my way out that afternoon, I casually mentioned to the staff, ”I'd like a hot drink.” When I returned and opened the door, I saw two cups of warm lemonade on the bedside table, the walls still just warm enough to hold in my hands. This casual thought instantly warmed my heart. The hotel's breakfast was even more exciting! The variety is so extensive it's hard to choose. The Chinese congee is perfectly cooked, soft and glutinous, and comes with refreshing side dishes. The Western bacon is crispy yet not greasy, and the fried egg is instantly melt-in-your-mouth. The best part is the freshly cooked ramen. The broth is rich and mellow, the noodles are chewy and smooth, and the fresh, soft-boiled egg is a perfect match. Every bite is incredibly satisfying. I give this bowl of ramen a thumbs-up! 👍 Overall, from the thoughtful details in the facilities to the warm service to the surprising breakfast, this newly opened hotel is truly touching. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in this city!
