2-Star Hotels in Hunan, China

Of all the 5 cities I've visited in China, this was hands down the most delightful and comfortable hotel I stayed at. The butler staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist. The room itself had a wonderful ambiance and was spotlessly clean, looking exactly like the pictures online. The hotel's location is also very convenient, being close to the East Gate of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. For this price, it's an absolute steal – don't hesitate to book! If I ever come back to Zhangjiajie for another trip, I would absolutely choose to stay here again.

The room was quite comfortable, and the location was excellent – perfect for visiting nearby attractions, taking photos, and with plenty of food choices right downstairs. The staff were extremely polite and enthusiastic, always ready to answer any questions I had. I highly recommend staying near Taiping Street instead of Wuyi Square. Wuyi is mostly just shopping malls and gets incredibly crowded. This area is closer to the subway station and Orange Isle, offers all the essential Taiping Street delicacies, and is convenient for visiting Wenheyou and enjoying riverside walks. For my next visit, I'll consider staying at Beitai for even more convenience.

Nice family hotel and very helpful owners. The girl helped us to get tickets to Tianmen Shan with the discount. We got line C tickets and got to the top really quickly while line A snd B were lining up. The hotel is right in front of the entrance to the Tianmen Shan, also in the heart of the pedestrian district with lots of restaurants and foods. That was a very pleasant stay!

My cute home in Zhangjiajie. I stayed here for 5D/4N and my host May jie has been of great help during my trip. I booked the tickets from her at a discount and she gave some advice on what route to take. I would be lost without her guidance. Overall, I super enjoyed my trip to Zhangjiajie. Will stay here again next time :)

Perfect hotel, very clean, has a wonderful atmosphere, best location next to famous icons and great coffee and juices. The husband and wife are very nice who run the hotel and went out of their way to make sure my stay was the best. The Owner speaks great English and can help with advice and travel. I spent a lot of time with their dog taking him for a walk, playing football or for a swim. His really a great dog. One of the best hotels I have stayed in my life, highly recommend if you are looking for a hotel to choose this one will make your stay all the better in this Ancient City.

The place was great. It was near to the stores and food stalls. The lady in the reception was of great help in booking our tours, we got discounts and well detailed plan to do the tour. All the details were of great help in navigating the canyon and the forest park. The only thing that needs improvement is the shower as it was kind of difficult to take a shower.

I'd say this is the best value-for-money hotel I've experienced at this price point. The moment you walk in, you're greeted by a stunning river view. The place was spotless, and it even came with a spacious balcony. In the evenings, the balcony caught a wonderful breeze, making it incredibly refreshing to sit out and enjoy the night view with a drink in hand – truly relaxing. We brought our little one along, and they absolutely loved it too! I'll definitely be choosing this place again for my next visit.

Our first stop on our Zhangjiajie trip. We arrived at Hehua Airport at 10:30 PM and got to the hotel at 11:00 PM. We booked a family room, which was great value for money. The location is fantastic, less than a 500-meter walk from the lower station of the Tianmen Mountain cable car, and surrounded by many eateries. The owner was very friendly and offered complimentary luggage storage. After exploring Tianmen Mountain the next day, we took a taxi to the National Forest Park in the evening. It only took about 40 minutes to reach our next hotel there, which was very convenient.

This hotel is absolutely fantastic! The rooms are clean, spacious, and well-equipped, providing almost everything you could need. The front desk also offers laundry service. The service from check-in to check-out was excellent throughout, genuinely warm and welcoming; staff greeted us with smiles and friendly chatter as soon as we entered. The location is great, and the rooms are clean and tidy, making for a very comfortable stay. Plus, they offer complimentary luggage storage after check-out, which is a huge bonus!

We initially booked for two nights, but our plans changed, so we extended for two more. The projector in the room offered a very clear picture. Given how hot it was in the afternoons, the kids would often stay in the room watching TV. In the evenings, we'd head out for dinner. We usually left early in the mornings, and by the time we returned in the afternoons, the room had always been cleaned.
