Not really satisfied, service could be better. Reached at 4pm (indoesia time) to check in, was asked to wait as the room is not ready. Waited for 10mins which is okay. Card only given 1 - not convenient when we arranged inhouse massage as one of us need to stay in the room with the massuer while my husband went down to pick up another masseur and the room went off pitch black. Breakfast - eggs ran out by 9am, and was told that there will be no more eggs Checkout day, called reception around 10am - request for additional mineral bottle for drinking but was told that we are checking out today and we would need to purchase the bottle. Checkout - was running 5 minutes late, reception already called asking to check out now. Bed and pillows are okay and comfortable to sleep. There’s international plug so you can use if you’re using 3 pin plug. Location is perfect, just across the Tunjungan Plaza but nothing nice to shop. Just boring. Service could be better, but definitely not returning for us.

Had a wonderful stay in The Great Diponegro! The hotel exceeded our expectations with its excellent service, comfortable rooms, and convenient location. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully prepared to ensure a pleasant and relaxing experience. What stood out most was the warmth and professionalism of the staff. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist, making us feel genuinely welcomed throughout our stay. The facilities were well-kept, and the overall atmosphere was comfortable and inviting.

It's a comfortable place for a transit stay, but this time I was perhaps unlucky. I got a room where the AC wasn't cooling properly, and the TV only just turned on, with a blurry picture and a very limited channel selection.

Quite a pleasant experience. The accommodation has a comfortable ambiance with a modern and clean design. The room was tidy, facilities were adequate, and the staff were friendly and responsive. The location is also quite strategic, making it easy to get around Surabaya. Overall, this place is worth considering, especially for those looking for comfortable accommodation at a friendly price.

The ambient is good. Service is attentive. Breakfast variety is quite a lot, around 3 main course, 5-6 type of drink, 2-3 food, salads, pastries and cakes. The amenities toilet is as usual. No hair dryer (need to manually request). Bed is the best with view. Water flow toilet is quite slow.

The room is spacious and location is extremely good for the price. Point to improve: the kitchen to work much more to improve their quality. Chicken fried was not cook properly, still bloody, we need to ask staff to recook it. Bakso noodle is below average, u can find better on street food. The staffs are nice, nothing to complain about it but food quality is not worth the price at all.

Stayed here recently and overall had a pleasant experience. The hotel is an old building, but it’s very well maintained. The room was spacious and clean, and although the bathroom has an old-style design, everything was properly maintained. Hot water and water pressure were perfect throughout the stay. The bed was comfy and the bedsheets were clean, which made sleeping very comfortable. Location is also convenient — only around a 3-minute walk to Sun City Mall. Free parking is available and can be claimed as well. There were a few downsides though. The window lock was spoiled and couldn’t lock properly, which is a safety concern since kids could easily open it wide. Some parts of the wallpaper also looked faded and slightly damaged. Overall, I would stay here again if they fix the window lock issue.

It's suitable for families or groups due to its spacious area and numerous rooms at affordable prices. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, and the staff is very helpful.

From the outside, it's a little small, when I entered, it turned out that there were a lot of rooms. The elevator is large. The air conditioner TV is ok, the toilet hot water is not on. There is a gap in the door of the room, so it looks like it is taken from the outside. Near the rsj sleeping. Not bad for a tight rest.

I stayed with my wife for a week. The place is not perfect, but nothing to complain about - especially factoring in the price. Our room overlooked the main road and soundproofing wasn’t quite good enough, although Indonesia is full of unnecessarily loud exhausts. We had stunning sunsets almost daily!
