GGuest UserStayed over for one night at the Hilton Garden Inn hotel at Chengde. The entrance to the hotel was congested with cars. The parking attendance in front of the hotel wasn't really helpful when my driver dropped us off to check in to the hotel. What he cares was just faster unload and removed the car form that area. He offered no help at all. I was not sure if the parking attendance was employed by the Hilton hotel. If yes then the service was really not up par with the Hilton standard for customer service standard. We carried one large luggages and few smaller bags. We have to carry it over few flights of stairs to get in to the hotel entrance. The sliding path to get into the hotel entrance was not located in front of the hotel entrance but was hidden at the side that was obscured or partially blocked by the parking car at the front. The reception lady was very friendly though. We were given high floor and she scanned my WeChat to easy contact with the hotel later. The hotel room was very spacious and beautiful but the room was stuffy. Only one tiny small window was able to open a little bit to let the outside air go in. The afternoon temperature was as high as 25 degrees Celcius and rather HOT inside the room. We cannot adjust the aircon in the room as it is central setting! Called to the reception to ask why the room air con can't be adjusted and it seems not working but was told it is central setting. Well, you paid a lots to stay at the hotel without proper ventilation but to rely on the outside air to go in the tiny window. Despite the hotel facility was complete but we still cannot really enjoy and sleep comfortably as we felt HOT. The hotel separates the bathroom from toilet. The washing basin was outside of the bathroom. The breakfast was good with lots of variety. After checking out, I realised I might have left my traveller adaptor in the room. Immediately Isent a text to the hotel via WeChat but to my disappointment, it took two days for them to reply my message asking me to self contact the front desk counter to ask yourself?! What kind of service of that??? Asking hotel guest to add them on WeChat but still asking us to self call the front desk? Not all tourists will have local Sim card to make phone call. That is really a disappointment. They should have offered a better service by checking with the front desk counter and then get back to us via WeChat. This Hilton is definitely still a long way to go to achieve better rating. The hotel is closed to q night market that offers lots of street foods. There was one food stall that offer very palatable Chu Cheong fun. The experience was not pleasant for my one night stay.

LLibraKKKThe environment is pleasant, though the resort area is quite small and pales in comparison to Aranya in Beidaihe. The hotel's interior design is lovely and very Japanese in style. The courtyard features many beautiful hydrangeas. The minibar being constantly restocked is a definite plus. Breakfast is served at a nearby restaurant, where you can choose one of three à la carte buffet options; the food was decent. While polite, the staff's attitude felt rather cold and indifferent. There were no perks like early check-in, late check-out, or room upgrades, which is fine, as the hotel isn't obligated to provide them.
What really ticked me off was an incident during check-out. The day before, the butler had explicitly told us that two bottles of body lotion would be left at the front desk for us to collect when we checked out. However, when checking out, the front desk didn't mention it at all until I brought it up. Then, the staff acted as if I was trying to swindle them out of a major freebie, going through a ridiculously elaborate verification process, only to eventually hand over just *one* bottle. It made me feel like I was begging for a gift. I almost decided to just drop it, but the more I thought about it, the more annoyed I became. They were the ones who offered it in the first place, yet they made me feel like I was trying to take advantage. So, I insisted on receiving the two body lotions that were initially promised. I've stayed at many hotels that offer complimentary parting gifts upon check-out, and those always cheerfully enhanced my overall satisfaction. This experience, however, left me absolutely furious. They seriously need to train their staff on proper communication protocols.

Llittlecc16The space of the parent-child room is relatively large. The service staff thoughtfully added quilts and pillows. The pillows are very comfortable. The front desk provides free breakfast. The breakfast is very comfortable. There is haggis soup and freshly ground soy milk. It is healthy and hygienic. The room hygiene details are very clean. The service staff They are all very friendly. They poured hot tea when you entered. There are many books in the lobby of the hotel. There is also a laundry room in the restaurant. The laundry room is fully functional and can be used for washing and drying. It also has a garment steamer. The laundry products are also very professional. The hotel has a robot. , can deliver takeaways, very convenient, very close to the high-speed rail station, and there are many restaurants nearby. You can’t go wrong choosing Atour when you come to Zhangjiakou. The service is very good, with a smile!

TTimLimBad check in service at front counter lady. Seems more occupied with her task than guest service. I have to call and request for our sofa bed to be open. Given we book and indicated a family of 4, unlike other hotels whom immediately arrange all additional required items such as toothbrushs, slippers, towels, water, etc. Here I have to call to request for each items.
The wifi doesn't work. I have to physically bring my laptop to the front desk for assistance.. and even that was not able to connect.
Breakfast, average as the food are abit hard - hard noodles, hotdogs, breads..
Only cons is location near to ski and restaurants but so are a few hotels nearby.
Free scheduled public bus shuttle to/fro train station, have to walk about 7 mins to the bus stop.
As a Hyatt member, this is the worse Hyatt Place hotels I stayed. I believe surrounding hotels will have better guest services and competitive price too.

HHaobaishaoI stayed here last winter when I came to soak in the hot springs. I was very satisfied with the private room last time. This time I wanted to go around, so I asked the front desk to help me get a room facing the sea. Wang Zeyu, the front desk, quickly arranged the room after hearing our needs. Thank you! It’s a good experience to walk on the wooden boardwalk by the sea. The water lilies in the park are so beautiful. Especially this week, I went to the vegetation near the seaside (behind the hot springs), where there are many locusts, and it is a good season for the fragrance of locust flowers. There are also tourists and fishing enthusiasts digging on the beach. This time I know how the sandworms were found. It’s always a fresh experience to stay in this hotel. I don’t know what fun and delicious things I will find next time.

MM271745****The room was great, very spacious and well-equipped. My child slept on the sofa bed, and the staff even provided two duvets, one for underneath and one for on top, which was a nice touch. They also added an extra 4 bottles of water. The hotel benefits are pretty good too; we got discounts on ski passes and equipment, and after skiing, we could go to the hot springs, or even just relax in the bathtub in our room – very comfortable. The photo was taken near the hotel, and the scenery is beautiful. Plus, it's not far from the ski resort, which is very convenient.

GGuest UserThe hotel is located in a small village, a bit far from Beidaihe beach, so it's best if you're driving. The exterior looks like a castle and is quite grand; many people come here for wedding photoshoots. The lobby for check-in is quite small, essentially just a sales office. The service staff were very enthusiastic and helped with luggage. After checking in, I found the room to be small, and the facilities were just average. Most items on display required an extra charge, and the faucets and tissue box were dirty. Although the bathroom was spacious, the shower faucet couldn't adjust the water temperature – only scalding hot water came out. Breakfast is on the basement level and doesn't offer much variety. Overall, this stay was quite disappointing. I hope the hotel provides more practical services. We didn't see any stars in the 'starry sky room', and the 'fun park' was just a quick walk-through with only some old facilities.

As soon as I stepped into the hotel lobby, my eyes were bright. The warm-toned lights and exquisite ornaments created a full atmosphere. The front desk staff Jingjing, Xiaoming, and Xinyue were enthusiastic and professional. They quickly helped me check in and recommended fun places around.
The room was even more amazing, with spacious space and soft and comfortable bedding. It felt like being wrapped in clouds when I lay down, and I slept so well! The bathroom was separated into dry and wet areas, and the quality of toiletries was also very good.
The hotel has a rich variety of breakfasts, both Chinese and Western, and the freshly made wontons are super satisfying. The gym is fully equipped, and you can exercise in your spare time. The location is also great, with convenient transportation around, close to popular attractions and shopping malls. This stay experience is perfect, and I will choose this place next time I travel!

The room was very comfortable, and I was very satisfied with the bedding and cleanliness. It also has a private beach, which is clean, quiet, and not crowded. It feels private, with a lifeguard, and feels very safe.
Fishing nearby is a rare bonus, and it satisfied my father, who loves fishing. He caught dozens of fish and had a blast casting.
Cons:
Beach loungers are available for guests to rent at 50 yuan each. They should be included in the hotel's amenities, but they have the nerve to charge for them.
For a hotel with international connections, the breakfast offerings of instant, sweet coffee are quite subpar. The quality of the food needs to be improved.
The overall service attitude and quality of the restaurant staff need to be improved. Even after breakfast, there were still guests enjoying themselves, playing with toast.
For dining in the surrounding area, you'll need to drive out. You can order takeout.
