It was my first time in this city. The hotel is new and the service is good. The location is excellent, within walking distance to the lake, with many restaurants nearby and convenient transportation. It was a great experience.
The hotel is nice, facing the harbor, with great views! Kingston is a small town near Toronto, Canada. It is surrounded by Queen's University, the famous Kingston Prison, and the boat tour of Thousand Islands Lake. The ecology is very good. We also saw snakes in the boat harbor🐍
The room was very clean, and the staff were warm, young, beautiful, attentive, and thoughtful. Just a heads-up, you'll need to bring your own toiletries.
I enjoyed the pool for a quick swim. It has long hours.. I had a quiet night with my best sleep in weeks. The hotel pillows are very comfortable and I fell asleep before I had time to judge the mattress. Turns out it is really comfy too! The staff were very friendly even in the middle of the night. All in all it was a very enjoyable stay.
The hotel is located in the city center and the facilities are relatively old. It is incomparable to the DoubleTree by Hilton in China. You get a cookie when you check in. Breakfast is not buffet style but gives you a coupon. The choices are very limited.
The Fairmont Chateau Laurier is an iconic landmark in Ottawa, offering a perfect blend of luxury, history, and charm. Guests can enjoy a guided tour of the hotel to uncover its rich heritage. Adding a unique touch to the experience is Stewart, the hotel's beloved canine ambassador. This friendly black Labrador retriever, once trained as a guide dog, now welcomes guests and has even inspired a children's book series titled ”Stewart: King of the Castle”.
The hotel features a beautiful indoor pool with a classic, historical ambiance, making it a serene retreat after a day of exploration. Its prime location places you steps away from Parliament Hill, the Rideau Canal, and the bustling ByWard Market, with museums and other major attractions within easy walking distance. Whether you're visiting for business or leisure, the Fairmont Chateau Laurier delivers an exceptional and memorable stay.
We decided to do a quick staycation with our 3 year old twins and this place was perfect! Big pool, spacious rooms with balconies and great Starbucks coffee served downstairs in the hotel store in the morning along with croissants, cinnamon buns, oatmeal, etc. All for extra cost but great to have that available!

The location is in the downtown core, which is very convenient.
Service is ok. Slipper, laundry bag, kettle, etc, are not placed in the room, but are available upon request.
The underground parking is not managed by the hotel and the staffs did not know the details of fees, because what I was actually charged is more than what I was told by staff.

The hotel room is very big and the lady at the front desk is very nice! In addition, the restaurant on the first floor of the hotel is of high standard, and there are outdoor hot springs and saunas. A very satisfying trip!
Great hotel, wife arrived first and had a small hiccup since I added her name as a guest but did not show up on the hotel system. Anyway it got cleared up and we were upgraded to a penthouse suite! The breakfast was really good and had a good selection of food.

FFengtangshuitaExcellent location, right next to the Parliament. Parking is a bit inconvenient, but opting for valet parking is only $15 more than self-parking and incredibly convenient; they even help bring your luggage to the room. The housekeeping staff were all exceptionally friendly. This hotel exceeded my expectations, so I'm giving it a perfect score.
CCindyTsangI love staying in this Sheraton because it's only opposite the airport entrance, connecting to T3 by a 1-minute walk. The vibe is very relaxing, and the room facilities are very comfortable. I love the mattress and the shower, which were well supported and had intense water pressure, respectively. I would love to come back next time, but to be reminded that the breakfast is only provided a la carte with CAD$25. The buffet breakfast are only offered if you book the room on its website.
GGuest UserRequested the newly renovated room instead of non renovated. The hotel staff was very kind and friendly to let us check in at 1.30pm as our rooms was ready. Eventhough we didnt get the connecting room as we requested but we were happy enough to let us an early check in.

GGuest UserWhen we checked in, the sun was shining brightly. The second impression was very good! Two 1.5-meter beds were more comfortable.
The first impression was check-in. Although there was an underground garage, which was not consistent with what was written on the website, the communication of the receptionist was really great: 1. Upgrade the room; 2. Free unlimited mini bar; 3. Free a glass of wine from the rooftop bar; 4. The car can be parked at the door temporarily, and the luggage will be moved and then sent to the recommended nearby parking lot, or 45 dollars valet; 5. There is a nice painting in the lobby.
The only drawback is that the construction is noisy and it will not end until after 8 pm.
AAnonymous UserThe bed was comfortable and the breakfast buffet was great. The room was fairly quiet. The shower controls were modern. The only thing was no trash bags in the trash bins inside the room, and no bottled water included (had to bring my own). The garbage bags they provided after requesting them were too big lol. The cost was fairly expensive for just one night though manageable if splitting the cost with another guest.
NNgMoonI was initially apprehensive about staying in an ”old” hotel, but my worries came to rest. It was similar to a cottage theme with very clean rooms and adequate amentities. Staff were always very friendly, greeting us everytime we leave and return to the hotel, and responds promptly to our housekeeping requests. 10 minutes from the hotel, there is a park with a calming stream, a great place to rest and rewind from the busy city life. Nearest train station is just 5 minutes walk away, and a 30-45 minutes car ride to downtown. Some downsides though, there are no nearby restaurants besides the one in the hotel, and no nearby supermarkets. Utensils were not provided in the room so be prepared to bring your own set. Hotel lifts seem a bit worn out but had not broken down during my stay. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay given the calm surrounding vibes and amazing service. I would consider returning in the future
GGuest UserConsidering the price abroad, hotels are usually quite standard, and this one was perfectly acceptable for a short stay. We had two nights with a beautiful waterfall view and one night overlooking the city. The waterfall itself was absolutely stunning. I'd recommend at least a two-night stay to truly soak it all in at a leisurely pace.
