5-Star Hotels in Jilin, China

This is an excellent hotel with incredibly warm and attentive service! Firstly, it's the closest hotel to the old mountain gate, just a 2-minute walk away, so we didn't have to queue at all during the National Day holiday. Secondly, they offer high-speed rail pick-up and drop-off throughout our stay, and can also take us to nearby attractions. Thirdly, the breakfast was amazing! The restaurant staff were very enthusiastic and proactively asked if we needed anything. The ginseng chicken soup, noodles, dumplings, and wontons were all delicious and plentiful, perfect for us southerners. Fourthly, a dedicated butler was provided. Butler Li Chao was incredibly responsible and always ready to help with anything. Fifthly, all the front desk staff were wonderful. They helped with our luggage and reservations, and the service was exceptional. They even upgraded us to a family room when they saw I was traveling with two elderly family members, which I really appreciate. Sixthly, the hot springs were superb, and we could book them anytime. Seventhly, there's a food court right next door, making dining very convenient. The stone pot bibimbap, stir-fried pork with kimchi, and BBQ were all delicious. Eighthly, the hotel provided complimentary access to the Volcanic Stone Forest attraction, river trekking, and ginseng digging, all of which were a lot of fun and suitable for the whole family. My family had a fantastic time, and we'll definitely stay here again on our next trip to Changbai Mountain.

During my stay at the hotel, the service was excellent, especially the concierge, Xiao Hui. He was incredibly helpful, answering all our questions and taking care of every detail – a huge thank you to him! Also, the young lady at the front desk on the night shift on the 19th was very enthusiastic. However, I have to complain about the Chinese restaurant. My dad took my child there and ordered black truffle fried rice and stir-fried beef. I don't know if it was because they ordered too little, but the food never came. When they asked a female server about it, her attitude was extremely dismissive, just saying, ”Just wait!” I'm not sure if she wasn't properly trained or if she was just being selective with customers. Later, they asked a manager, who also couldn't give a definitive answer. In the end, they just ordered takeout to the room. Besides this one issue, everything else was great.

The room was incredibly spacious, which I really appreciated! Especially when the afternoon sun streamed in upon arrival, it felt wonderful. The small bed's mattress was a bit firm but perfectly fine for sleeping. The hot springs were very crowded, so soaking in the room's bathtub was a good alternative. The staff were all very welcoming. The breakfast selection wasn't super extensive, but it depends on your taste; you'll definitely get enough to eat. The only issue was the weak air conditioning in the breakfast area, though the room's AC was excellent. The coffee in the lobby was quite good, worth trying. Parking was convenient, with plenty of space right out front.

Met expectations, beautiful scenery, and the recreational facilities were great too. Lucky at the front desk who helped with check-in, and our two butlers, Xiao Peng (Penny) and Xiao Zhuang (Holly), were very professional. We had a wonderful stay. Room service was also excellent; even with a full house, they promptly accommodated our last-minute request for turndown service. The Italian restaurant for dinner was also good, with both service and taste receiving full marks. My suggestions are: during breakfast, it would be great if more restaurants could be open. Waiting for over half an hour during peak times somewhat impacted the experience, and the food selection could be richer. The car parking area needs more reasonable planning.

I was very satisfied with my stay this time, and I especially want to commend Tina at the front desk for her service. The staff were all warm and polite. Check-in and check-out were efficient and quick, with no long waits at all. They were patient and meticulous when answering questions, and proactively provided important hotel information. When a small issue arose, they responded quickly, offering thoughtful and attentive service. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I had a great stay. I will definitely choose this hotel again for my next trip, it's highly recommended.

Service: Absolutely amazing 👍🏻 We had a dedicated butler who contacted us via WeChat, ready to assist us with anything at any time. Swimming Pool: I went for a swim in the evening for half an hour. It wasn't crowded, the water was clean, and it was very relaxing. Room & Facilities: The facilities are a bit dated, but the 5-star hotel amenities are still quite good. There's also a cute pet farm where you can interact with alpacas and sika deer. The hotel provides a very convenient shuttle service. We were even given a free room upgrade! As it happened to be my birthday, they specially decorated the room for me and actually surprised me with a free 6-inch birthday cake—which was just fantastic! They also sent up a fruit platter in the evening. Direct Access to Hot Springs: The hotel has direct access to the Julong Volcanic Hot Springs, and hotel guests enjoy unlimited soaking privileges during their stay, which is super convenient.

This was our first family trip to Changbai Mountain Wanda Resort, and we chose to stay at Wanda Jin Hua. Throughout our stay, Tu Tu from the executive lounge provided excellent and thoughtful service. She added us on WeChat early on to inform us about our benefits and scenic spot reservation details, which made our entire check-in process incredibly smooth. On the day of arrival, we even received complimentary pastries and fruit. The room was spacious with large floor-to-ceiling windows offering beautiful mountain views (՞ਊ՞)👍. The benefits were great fun, but since our child was too young, he couldn't enjoy many of them. We'll definitely bring him back when he's a bit older.

For my trip to Yanji, I chose to stay at the Huayi Kairuos Hotel for two nights, and my overall experience far exceeded my expectations. I really have to commend their attention to detail when it comes to service. As soon as we arrived at the hotel entrance, a bellhop quickly came over, proactively took our luggage, and guided us to the front desk for check-in. He also thoughtfully pointed out the electric car charging stations by the entrance, mentioning that if we were driving, we could park directly in their exclusive parking spots, saving us the trouble of finding one ourselves. The front desk attendant who checked us in was exceptionally warm and enthusiastic. After verifying our information, she specifically told us that the panoramic French windows of our Deluxe Family Room overlooked the Yanji River, offering a fantastic view. She also handed us a pre-prepared local sightseeing card, which marked out walking routes to popular spots like the Yanbian University internet-famous wall, the West Market, and the Water Market. She even circled the most authentic ginseng chicken soup restaurant nearby for us. During our stay, one evening we returned to the hotel quite late after exploring. A bellhop, seeing us carrying bags full of Yanji local specialties, immediately came forward to help us with them. He accompanied us all the way to our room door and even reminded us that if the sensor lights in the hallway weren't bright enough at night, we could call the front desk anytime. The next day, when we were heading out for a walk in People's Park, a young lady at the front desk saw that we had an elderly person with us. She proactively offered us two complimentary bottles of mineral water and told us the closest entrance to the park, as well as where to find fewer stairs for an easier walk. The panoramic breakfast experience on the 24th floor was also excellent. The local specialties like Tteok (rice cakes), cold noodles, and kimchi were all authentic. From a window seat, you could directly overlook the entire city night view of Yanji and the sunrise in the morning. The super-sized bathtub in the room was incredibly relaxing after a day of activities. The panoramic French windows offered views of the Yanji River, and our child had a blast playing in the tatami area. The most pleasant surprise was on the day we checked out. We had so much luggage that we couldn't carry it all ourselves. The bell staff were already waiting in the lobby to help us load it into the car. The front desk even specially gave us two small bags of local Korean ethnic minority snacks, suggesting we could eat them if we got hungry on the road. From the moment we entered until we left, the enthusiasm of every staff member felt genuine, not just a perfunctory politeness. They truly put the guests' needs first. If you're visiting Yanji and want a hassle-free and comfortable stay, choosing this hotel is definitely a safe bet. I will certainly stay here again on my next visit to Yanji.

If you're coming to Hunchun, you absolutely *must* stay at the Minzu Garden International Hotel. It's incredibly beautiful and perfect for taking photos. Guests staying on the first floor can rent traditional costumes for free, and each one is clean and stunning. From check-in to check-out, the (domestic) staff were incredibly enthusiastic, helping us with our luggage. The breakfast spread was fantastic, with lots of Korean ethnic dishes like doenjang jjigae, tteok, and dolsot bibimbap. We stayed for two days, and the menu was different each day. The back of the hotel has a large garden villa area, which is the best spot for photos. The rooms are spacious, and they provide complimentary fruit, VC drinks, and snacks daily. They even gave us steam eye masks. They really think of everything to cater to guests' needs. We were originally very satisfied, but there was a minor incident. We didn't realize that some of the reception staff were from North Korea. My family saw a staff member wearing traditional clothing and thought she looked lovely, so they went up to take a photo. She immediately gave a cold glare and walked away, which startled us and made us feel very awkward. Later, a domestic staff member explained that they aren't allowed to be photographed. However, in the service industry, it's hard to avoid guests wanting to take pictures, especially since they perform in various places – piano, guzheng. This made us hesitant to even take out our phones to record anything later on, making us feel quite on edge. When you're on vacation and looking to relax and have fun, the presence of North Korean staff made the whole atmosphere less relaxed. We're not sure what the reasoning is, but as tourists, our experience wasn't great. Because of this, I can't give a perfect score. If they are always there, then we can only not understand but respect it.

This is a great hot spring resort hotel, located next to Meiren Song Park, in a relatively quiet area of Erdaobaihe Town. It's not within walking distance of places like Enduli or Yunding Market, making it more suitable for a relaxing getaway. I heard it's very popular and hard to book during peak season. There are many Korean tour groups staying here, and there are also many Korean signs in the small street behind the hotel. However, I feel the hotel's zoning management is quite good, as there weren't many Koreans on our floor. The hotel stay includes hot spring tickets, but it's limited to one entry, not unlimited access. The hot springs have indoor pools on the first and second floors, and several outdoor pools on the fifth floor. The overall experience is good, but there's no food or drink service inside the hot springs, so it can't compare to bathhouses in Northeast China. The breakfast tastes good, a bit oily, but very flavorful, haha. Additionally, the hotel stay includes one complimentary send-off service, which is quite convenient.
