The hotel is bustling and very close to the Grand Bazaar, making it super convenient for getting around. Food options are also great, with plenty of delicious places nearby. There was a slight hiccup though – my mom might have gotten a bit sick from the change in environment and developed a fever. The hotel staff were incredibly caring and helped us arrange a late check-out so she could rest properly for the day, allowing us to comfortably catch our train in the evening. If I ever come back to Xinjiang, I would definitely choose to stay here again.
Exceeded my expectations, thumbs up! 👍 It's been a while since I last stayed at an Ibis, and I was pleasantly surprised that this one not only maintained the brand's usual standards but also managed to improve upon them.
1️⃣ **Hotel Design:** From the lobby to the rooms, the design is cleverly thought out. There are some unique touches that cater to guest needs while maintaining a minimalist business style, and the color scheme is outstanding.
2️⃣ **Staff:** All the staff members are really nice.
3️⃣ **Location:** Excellent location, just a 5-minute walk from Turpan North Station. It's super convenient to arrange car pickups/drop-offs for tours to the scenic spots. There's a supermarket and restaurants downstairs. Visiting Turpan in the summer means early starts and late returns, so staying at a hotel like this to escape the midday heat is a fantastic idea.

The hotel is located in the heart of the ancient city, and offers a good variety of restaurants. I was very satisfied with my stay.
Across the street from the hotel, the Caibeile supermarket is quite well-stocked. However, the first restaurant in the alley next to it, called ”Jingli Pilaf and Noodle Restaurant,” is an absolutely terrible rip-off. I ordered two bowls of mixed noodles one evening and waited over 40 minutes. I repeatedly asked the cashier, and each time they said it was already cooking and would be ready soon, refusing to refund me. The food quality was also mediocre. I suspect they rely on their prime location to prey on guests staying at the Greentree Inn Kashgar Ancient City Hotel across the street, or other tourists. Please avoid this place.
Well located close to town and restaurants, the hotel is modern and clean. We were pleased to have oxygen facility in the room, which was very helpful for altitude adaptation. A more welcoming staff could have made our experience more pleasant although they were helpful when asked.

The room was very clean and the environment was nice. The customer service was very welcoming. The driver who took me to the airport was a very steady and attentive driver. I was fortunate to receive a complimentary breakfast; the restaurant manager was very welcoming. Because I booked the hotel through Ctrip, I wasn't entitled to the complimentary breakfast, but since I'm a member manager, I was allowed to try it. The restaurant staff were also very attentive. Thank you!

I stumbled upon this hotel by chance, and it turned out to be a delightful surprise! The front desk staff were incredibly warm and accommodating, going above and beyond to help, and even upgraded our room. The bathroom had a convenient wet/dry separation, the room was spacious, and the bed was incredibly comfortable – I had the best night's sleep I'd had in days. Breakfast was generous and varied, the location is very convenient for attractions, and the whole place was spotlessly clean. We'd only planned for one night, but we were so impressed that we immediately extended our stay for another night to fully relax. Plus, there's a laundry room! I finally got all my dirty clothes from the past few days washed. If I had to pick a con, it would be that the hotel's parking lot is a bit small. If you arrive in the evening, you might struggle to find a spot and have to use the parking lot across the street. So, for drivers, it's definitely best to arrive early.
My friend and I stayed at the Tianyuan Hangyou Hotel during a layover in Urumqi, and it was the perfect choice for a short stay near the airport. The location is extremely convenient - just ~15 minutes away from the terminal, which made our transit hassle-free. The hotel offers a shuttle service to and from the airport, which was a great advantage.
Though the hotel could use minor renovations, the price-to-quality ratio is excellent. The room had all the essentials: slippers, toothbrushes and toothpaste, a comb, a hairdryer, an electric kettle, cups, and bottled water. The Wi-Fi worked well, which was important for us to plan our day trip and order a taxi.
One of the highlights was the breakfast buffet, which offered a good variety of options. Even if you're not yet accustomed to Chinese cuisine, you can find simple choices like boiled eggs and mantou (steamed buns).
For sightseeing, the city center and main attractions (such as the Xinjiang Museum, Red Hill Park, the Grand Bazaar, and the mosque) are about 30 minutes away by taxi. We managed to explore all of them in a day. Nearby, there are also local markets, convenience stores, and small cafés for snacks and essentials.
Overall, if you need a comfortable, budget-friendly hotel close to Urumqi Airport with good service and decent amenities, Tianyuan Hangyou Hotel is a great option. Highly recommended for transit travelers!
This stay had several thoughtful touches that absolutely deserve a 5-star rating.
1. There were nearly 10 bottles of water in the room. While other hotels might offer water, it's rare to find so many proactively placed in the room.
2. In the morning, due to heavy snow closing the highway, we had to turn back. Even though we had already checked out, the front desk attendant was incredibly understanding and let us use our room key again to rest for a while.
3. Before we left, and after we had already returned our key and checked out, they generously lent us an umbrella so we could go out for breakfast. This level of trust made us feel incredibly welcome.

I really feel very happy to live in such a room in Yining. The staff in the store are very enthusiastic and the room is very clean and warm. I had a flight at 8 o'clock in the morning, and my sister in the store got up at 7 o'clock to drive me to the airport. The big brother in the store is also very good, and the cat is very cute, that is, I regret that the transit time is relatively short, I went out to stroll, came back to touch the kitten twice, the kitten is really cute. I wish this store a lot of money, getting better and better, I will stay here next time. I didn't take any pictures, and then I want to ask if there is a link to the rocking chair in the store? It's so comfortable to lie down!

Very Good
BBlade.around.the.worldAfter a pleasant stay at the Green Tree Eastern in Kashgar, I decided to try the Green Tree Eastern in Urumqi. First impressions were mixed: while the exterior and lobby are fairly underwhelming, the rooms themselves are noticeably better presented.
Check-in was quick and efficient, and both the receptionist and security staff were friendly and welcoming. My Ctrip booking included a complimentary upgrade from a standard room to a superior room; however, this upgrade was neither provided nor acknowledged at check-in.
The hotel’s location is one of its stronger points. It is situated next to a Chinese shopping district and close to a metro station with direct airport access. That said, the hotel name is misleading—despite implying proximity to the Urumqi Grand Bazaar, the bazaar is actually one metro stop away or about a 30-minute walk.
The room itself was acceptable at first glance, but closer inspection revealed significant mold and holes near the bathroom wall. The room temperature remained uncomfortably cold at around 16°C, and the heating system did not appear to be functioning properly. The most serious issue occurred after taking a shower, when all of the drainage water leaked through the wall and completely flooded the room.
I immediately informed the front desk about the flooding and also mentioned the missing complimentary upgrade. Unfortunately, there was a translation misunderstanding, and the receptionist believed I was requesting an upgrade to a suite. Together with the security agent, we inspected the room, and they acknowledged both the flooding and the lack of heating. I was then upgraded to a suite, for which I am grateful—though I want to be clear that I never intended to demand a suite upgrade.
What truly surprised me was discovering that the same defective room was cleaned and reassigned to another guest that very evening, apparently without any repairs. It is difficult to understand how a hotel would reissue a room with such serious issues.
On a positive note, housekeeping staff were extremely kind and friendly. However, during our five-night stay, the bedsheets were never changed.
Overall, the Green Tree Eastern Urumqi is not a terrible hotel, but the experience was far from smooth and did not meet the standard set by the Green Tree Eastern property in Kashgar. With better maintenance, clearer communication, and improved housekeeping practices, this hotel could be much better.

SShuhanAraleWe were a group of five people, with children and elders. The lady at the B&B contacted us in advance and was very considerate. She upgraded both rooms for free. The B&B has a very good environment and is designed with unique features. It is very beautiful. The location is excellent and very convenient. The ladies at the B&B are very beautiful, considerate and gentle. The service is very good.
22morrowsworldThis 4 star hotel has a goid rating on Trip.com and I can understand why. However, I liken this hotel to a 20 year old luxury car such as an E36 7 series BMW or Lexus LS 430. Exceptional and glorious when new, but getting old and tired fast.
On a superficial level the rooms look grand and sumptuous, but on greater scrutiny there are issues. One if these are the carpets, which are either in dire need of steam cleaning on a forensic level of thoroughness, or outright replacement. Some sections are worn and faded, while many odd bits and pieces can be found (and felt with bare feet), that seem to have escaped the attention of the room staff, e.g toothpicks, other miscellaneous refuse deposited by previous guests.
I booked a continental double room, for $68 AUD per night and there was a misalignment of the door with its frame. Large enough to see through to the outside! The room contained a sofa Comfortable enough but with fabric badly worn away. The white veneer paint on tables has seen better days.
Having said all this, overall, the hotel offers rooms of a relatively high standard. Ornate furnishings, large, extremely comfortable beds and pillows, a huge bathroom with sufficient water pressure and responsive hot water on demand (bathroom has a smart lighting arrangement which switches on via a sensor).
There are a dozen individual controls for room lighting. Lots of cupboards and drawers and powerpoints where needed. There is a gym but for some undisclosed reason is currently closed, of February 2024. Is a buffet style restaurant with several guests dining in it which looked very well staffed. Reception will go out of their way to give assistance with arranging tours, ordering taxis etc, and try to ensure guests are satisfied. In summary, the hotel looks good and to some extent is good, but may not be worth paying $50 US a night to stay in and was a little disappointing.
GGuest UserThe hotel is in a good location, easy to find on the main road, with a parking lot, convenient parking. The room is spacious and has new facilities. The room is clean and sanitary. The bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas, and the sink meets hotel standards. The bedding is also very good, and the sleep is very comfortable. The hotel has a washing machine for washing clothes, and the cost performance is very high. I stayed there for a few days while playing in Turpan. The Xinjiang girl at the hotel front desk was warm and polite, and the check-in experience was very good!
GGuest UserWe had a fabulous time at this hotel in Tashkurgan! The room was spotless and we have a view of the snow capped mountains. Lovely sleep and it was equipped with everything we need. Also had dinner in the hotel, which was really good, with special tea on the house. There was also a whole box of dried fruits and a lovely note to welcome us in the room.
The best part of the stay was the photography tour to Golden Grassland to see sunrise, which the guesthouse arranged for any guests who are interested with their lovely staff. Najia came with us and he taught us how to capture the perfect shot and helped us take many gorgeous photos too!! Also, I was caught in the rain in town and when I text the hotel for help, Qiaojie kindly drove over to pick me up!!
Breakfast in the morning was a very good spread, and when the coffee machine ran out, the lovely receptionist Guli made me a special cup from the restaurant.
There were also oxygen tubes available in the room for whomever that needed it (we didn’t at all). Overall it was a really really wonderful stay, the hotel is a short walk to the Main Street but I must say the 5 stars are for the super friendly helpful and warm staff and we would totally recommend this hotel to anyone coming through Tashkurgan!
GGuest UserWe stayed in December when it was very cold and snowing. The room was cold and the heater is not very good. It’s actually the air conditioning unit and it is positioned by the front door to the room, which is a strange position as it’s far from the room itself. So we felt quite cold. The staff did all they can by providing extra blankets. In fact, the staff are very helpful. The location is good and convenient. I do think the owner should invest in an adequate heating system for the room.
SSyed AnoshI had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful, always going above and beyond to ensure I felt comfortable. They even provided a convenient pick-up and drop-off service from the airport, which made my travel experience much easier. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, offering a relaxing environment after a long journey. I also appreciated the attention to detail and the warm hospitality throughout my stay. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent service and thoughtful amenities.
GGuest UserThe room was huge, located in Xincun. There were bathrooms upstairs and downstairs, but they had a strong odor; they really should add some air fresheners. Breakfast offered about a dozen items. The hotel provides a shuttle service to Hemu Villa, and the driver was very friendly and helpful. The shuttle drops you off about 300 meters away. The front desk staff, however, were very cold and lacked any service awareness. They wouldn't respond to my WeChat messages about anything other than checking in. It was quite frustrating, to be honest. To get to the old village, you need to take the scenic area shuttle for three stops. The old village is much livelier and has more dining options.

DDuoduomumuYining is our favorite city overall. There are fruit trees all around the road. Apple trees, cherry trees, apricot trees, and most importantly, they are all mulberry trees. You can experience the fun of eating mulberries while walking!
The owner of the B&B is really warm and welcoming. The room decoration and design are also very good. The breakfast made by the aunt in the morning is also delicious. The whole small garden is very beautiful!
Also remember to ask the proprietress for tips and recommendations on local restaurants! Don’t go to the so-called internet celebrity check-in spots
