Romantic Hotels in Shanghai

I booked this hotel for a family trip to Disneyland, and overall, the environment and cleanliness were great. There's a 24-hour coffee machine in the lobby. The breakfast was rich with a Chinese and western buffet, and late-night snacks are provided as well. The staff were very welcoming, and the hotel offers a free shuttle service to and from Disneyland. It offers great value for money. The service was excellent. The passion fruit juice at the hotel was delicious, and we even took some with us when we left. Since we didn't have time for breakfast, they even had it delivered to our room. We were also upgraded to a better room type in the evening. It's a wonderful hotel with very comfortable bedding, and I will definitely choose to stay here again next time. I do have two small suggestions for improvement: First, there are no amenities for babies, such as baby bathtubs, cribs, or bed guards, which is inconvenient for travelers with infants. Second, breakfast ends a little too early at 9:30 AM. Since we got back from Disneyland quite late, it was hard to wake up early enough for breakfast the next day. I hope these can be improved.

Traveling with kids during the National Day holiday, we were very satisfied with our stay: 1. We checked in on the evening of October 1st, and the front desk staff was incredibly warm and helpful. They answered all our questions, even late at night, without any hint of impatience. This left a great first impression! 2. The room was neat and clean. Although it was right on a main road, the soundproofing was excellent, and we didn't hear any noise at all. The water and drinks were complimentary. 3. Breakfast was fantastic, with a wide variety of Chinese, Western, and local specialties, all tasting delicious. Friendly reminder: Be sure to talk to the front desk about parking beforehand. We were tricked into paying 30 yuan for surface parking! (Though this had nothing to do with the hotel itself) Quite annoying!

The hotel is clean, with a bright and spacious lobby. It's close to Pudong Airport, and the breakfast offers a good variety. The shuttle bus to Pudong Airport is convenient, making it ideal for travelers who need to stay one night and catch an early morning flight. The downsides are that the room had a smoke smell and there was some noise in the morning.

I've had the Le Méridien Sheshan on my radar for a while, and this National Day holiday I finally got to experience this classic, top-notch family-friendly hotel. Even though the hotel is quite old, its location is exceptional, nestled at the foot of Sheshan mountain. Every room has a balcony with great views and fresh air; sitting out there is simply refreshing. The room interiors are also very well maintained. Outside the room, there's everything you could need, no need to go to any paid parks. You can just relax at the hotel; the kids will never get bored, and adults can enjoy a truly relaxing vacation. During the National Day holiday, there were quite a few weddings being held, and parking was free. Plus, it's very convenient for driving to all the major attractions in Songjiang. A special shout-out to Bob for the excellent service – proactive, smooth communication, and thoughtful. The kids have already said they want to bring their grandparents back for another stay next time.

I chose this hotel for a family trip with my kids. The cleanliness was top-notch, and the room was spotless. The surroundings are nice, and the location is convenient. The front desk service was prompt and friendly. The in-room facilities were in good condition and complete. We had a comfortable stay and it's highly recommended for family travel.

A month before the National Day holiday, I started planning our family trip with our 2.5-year-old. He's not really suited for crowded tourist spots, and as low-energy parents, we're not up for intense 'special forces' style parenting either. So, I opted for a 'staycation,' which is super popular on Xiaohongshu (xhs). I'd bookmarked several highly-rated family-friendly hotels, and Pudong Kerry stood out as the most satisfying from my research. It offered family rooms, a kids' playground, and direct access to a mall – incredibly convenient! I quickly booked a stay on Ctrip, full of anticipation. We checked in on the evening of the 3rd. The front desk lady was very polite and answered all my questions in detail. When I asked if an additional adult could accompany my child into the playground (the package included entry for one adult and one child, but I was worried I wouldn't have enough energy and we'd need to take turns looking after him 🤣), she agreed without hesitation. I'm really grateful for that, and it proved to be a lifesaver in the playground – we truly couldn't keep up with our child! He had an amazing time, and we parents were exhausted. Upon entering the room, we immediately saw the special tent, a highlight of the family suite. Forget kids, even I, a 30+ adult, wanted to crawl in and hang out for a bit! For the two days we stayed, this little tent became his 'secret base.' When we were relaxing in the hotel, he'd be in there watching Qiaohu (Chuckle) or playing with his toys. The hotel also gifted him a little kangaroo plushie. Wow, it completely won him over and became his 'best buddy.' Every night before bed, he'd ask, 'Where's my best buddy?' Hahaha, the innocence of a child really touches your heart every single moment. The kangaroo T-shirt was a bit big, but that's fine; he can wear it when he's older and we can come back to the Kerry Hotel again. During check-in, the bed rail and children's toiletries were all prepared, which was very thoughtful. The first round of the mini-bar was free, and they even provided cookies, which tasted pretty good. The only suggestion I have is that the bed rail felt a bit unstable. At the head of the bed, it was fine because of the cabinet propping it up, but the foot of the bed felt loose; if you nudged it slightly, it felt like it would fall. Later, I was worried he might roll off in the middle of the night if the rail gave way, so I stuffed pillows along the side of the rail, which solved the problem. Hotel breakfast is on the 1st floor. Booking a family room includes two breakfasts. The breakfast spread was extensive, with Chinese and Western options, noodles, wontons, bread, and pastries – everything you could want, and it all tasted good. Next to the kids' playground was a gym, which looked very good with plenty of equipment, but I didn't get to experience it as I was with my child. This trip was very satisfying, and I look forward to returning to the Kerry Hotel to unlock new experiences.

Location: The hotel boasts an exceptional location, situated in the Jin Mao Tower, one of the 'Lujiazui Trio,' right next to the Shanghai Tower and the Shanghai World Financial Center. The hotel's design seamlessly blends Eastern aesthetics with Western architectural beauty, exuding both old-money charm and luxurious style. All hotel staff are also bilingual in Chinese and English. Experience: Our entire stay was fantastic. Since it was my birthday, Mia from Guest Services specially arranged a room upgrade for us. From the room, we could see the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, the Bund, and even the Magnolia Plaza across the river in North Bund. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the light show from here during the National Day holiday. Mia and her colleagues also prepared a Tiramisu birthday cake and flowers for me, for which I am truly grateful. Pool and Spa facilities: The indoor swimming pool's water quality was exceptionally clear, easily ranking among the top three of all the hotels I've visited. The sauna and cold plunge bath I experienced afterward were also excellent. The only area for improvement is that there was no discount for in-house guests at the hotel's buffet lunch. Even so, we will still choose to stay at the Grand Hyatt Shanghai on our next visit to Shanghai. The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, very close to The Bund and White Magnolia Plaza. The room had large floor-to-ceiling windows, was clean and spacious, and the facilities were well-maintained. The front desk staff and hotel butler provided meticulous and thoughtful service. The indoor circular pool was huge; soaking in the pool and admiring the bustling night view of Lujiazui outside the window completely washed away travel fatigue. The hotel has an observation deck on the top floor, and the complimentary travel photography was excellent. From the second-floor corridor of the hotel, you can walk along the river to The Bund, enjoying the gentle breeze and the vibrant cityscape of Shanghai. I was very satisfied with this trip!👍

My husband and I decided on Shanghai Disneyland for our May Day honeymoon, and choosing the Guyiju Hotel truly doubled the happiness of our fairytale getaway! It was stress-free and wonderfully relaxing from start to finish, so I absolutely have to write a detailed, glowing review to recommend it to every couple planning a Disney honeymoon! First, let's talk about the most crucial aspect: its location and shuttle service. This is truly a godsend for Disney visitors! The hotel is only about a 20-minute drive from Disneyland, and best of all, they offer a complimentary dedicated Disney shuttle service. We checked in the day before and reserved the 7:30 AM shuttle with the front desk. The next morning, it departed promptly, taking us right to the park entrance. No rushing for the subway, no hassle with taxis, and we even had time for breakfast before heading out – perfectly suited for the relaxed pace of a honeymoon. After watching the spectacular fireworks show at night, there was no squeezing through crowds or worrying about finding a taxi; we simply took the hotel's return shuttle back. It was effortless and reassuring the entire time, making it incredibly convenient for honeymooning couples. Next, I have to praise the hotel environment and room experience – it was romantic and elegant, perfectly capturing the honeymoon vibe! Walking into the hotel, the common areas were tidy and tasteful, with refined details that made for great photo opportunities. Our room was spacious and bright, and the cleanliness was impeccable. The bedding, changed for each guest, was soft and skin-friendly; lying on it, our fatigue instantly melted away. The bathroom had a dry/wet separation, stable water pressure, and plenty of hot water – a hot shower after a long day at the park was incredibly therapeutic. The smart facilities in the room were also a huge plus: automatic curtains, a Bluetooth speaker, and welcoming music, combining technology with warmth. Lying in bed with my husband at night, listening to soothing music and recounting our sweet moments at Disneyland that day, the atmosphere was absolutely perfect. What touched us most was the incredibly warm and thoughtful service, truly embodying their motto of 'caring warmth, heartwarming service'! From the moment we checked in, the front desk staff were enthusiastic and patient, with gentle smiles. They efficiently processed our check-in, and even thoughtfully provided us with Disney touring tips, shuttle times, and proactively reminded us about the significant temperature difference at night in Disney, advising us to dress warmly. During our stay, any issues we had were addressed promptly and attentively. One evening, after returning from Disney tired and hungry, and not wanting to go out for food, the hotel's vending machine was a true 'lifesaver' – offering drinks, instant noodles, and snacks. These thoughtful details made our honeymoon journey full of感动. There's also a supermarket, a 24-hour convenience store, and several restaurants nearby, so if you wanted a late-night snack, it was easily accessible downstairs, making life incredibly convenient. Finally, let's talk about the sweet experience of a Disney honeymoon, perfectly complemented by the Guyiju Hotel, recreating a fairytale romance! At Disneyland, my husband and I held hands walking down Mickey Avenue, watching colorful balloons ascend; we rode the carousel side-by-side, feeling the sweetness of childhood innocence; we challenged Pirates of the Caribbean and the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train together, holding each other tightly in thrilling moments; in the evening, we watched the parade, waving and interacting with Disney friends, doubling our joy; and at night, as fireworks erupted over the castle, their brilliant light reflecting in our smiles, we embraced and kissed. In that moment, the fairytale came to life, and our love overflowed. Returning to Guyiju Hotel was like coming home from a fairytale world to a gentle haven. The comfortable environment and attentive service ensured that every tired evening was softly healed, and every morning started with renewed energy. This May Day honeymoon, made magical by Disney's fairytale romance and even more so by the caring companionship of Guyiju Hotel, became one of the most precious and sweet memories of our lives. It offers incredible value for money and a full-score experience. Whether for a honeymoon, a romantic getaway for couples, or a family trip, Guyiju Hotel is an excellent choice near Disneyland! I've already made a mental note – next time we visit Shanghai Disneyland, we'll definitely stay here again, and I'll wholeheartedly recommend it to all my friends planning trips.💕

This is my second stay here, and it's definitely a great value-for-money option near Disney. The room was huge, and they even provided complimentary snacks and drinks in the fridge. After a whole day at Disney, it was a perfect place to rest. Next door is 'One Foot Garden', so on the second day, we just took the kids there to play on the slides and in the sand. The adults enjoyed the breeze by the lake and had some tea. This time, I was a bit lazy and also ate at the hotel; the set meal was really good value, and the scrambled eggs were incredibly delicious.
