Excellent
GGuest UserI had a great experience! I was looking for a hotel in Shanghai for my trip and after checking out a lot of places, I finally settled on this one. From the moment I walked in, I knew I'd made the right choice. The lobby immediately struck me as very high-end. The staff there were also incredibly welcoming and helpful – all young and enthusiastic. They offered me tea, proactively booked the shuttle for me, and even helped with my luggage. All these little things made me feel like this hotel was excellent. The breakfast the next day also pleasantly surprised me. To get this level of service and a fancy breakfast at this price point, I truly feel it's great value for money. The spread was really rich and varied!

SSuoFlareI've never willingly given a hotel a perfect five-star rating, but this one deserves it. The location is absolutely fantastic, right above IFC and surrounded by major shopping malls. It's just a few minutes' walk to the Disney Store, the Oriental Pearl Tower, and the Bund. Even though it's a 10-year-old hotel, you really have to stay here to understand just how incredibly well-maintained it is. The service is practically on-demand; they respond to almost any request incredibly quickly. While they don't automatically deliver takeout to your room, you can call concierge and they'll bring it up. The hotel breakfast offers a good variety, and everything tastes delicious. 'Variety' is relative, of course – it can't compare to places that specialize solely in breakfast, but it's very good nonetheless. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to any family or friends who need a place to stay in Shanghai.

AAnonymous UserThe check-in process at this hotel took an exceptionally long time. While waiting, I couldn't help but notice an array of 'influencers' taking photos in the lobby cafe. To my surprise, when I went to the restroom, there was a pair of influencer bloggers squatting inside, aggressively taking pictures. I wondered if this was some kind of marketing strategy orchestrated by the hotel. It really left a bad impression. The hotel lobby design, however, is elegantly chic. The room faced the main road, and the amenities were compact and refined, with a French-inspired decor. The regular prices are acceptable, but the year-end prices felt a bit overpriced. To top it off, there was a mistake with the final bill. Hotel staff called to inform me that their machine was faulty and my deposit was incorrectly charged as a consumption expense.

MM441959****My stay at Banyan Tree Shanghai on the Bund was truly unforgettable! The hotel is situated right in the heart of the Bund, offering classic Huangpu River views from the window – especially romantic and soothing when the city lights up at night. The overall atmosphere is quiet and understated, with exquisite and sophisticated design evident everywhere, without a hint of ostentation. The bedding in the room was incredibly comfortable, leading to a deep sleep, and the subtle fragrance in the air instantly helped me relax. The breakfast spread was abundant, thoughtfully combining both Chinese and Western options, making every bite feel like a treat. I especially want to commend Deslin and Vicky! They were both absolutely fantastic~ Deslin's calm yet meticulous professionalism was particularly impressive; every interaction made me feel valued, and everything they arranged for us was just perfect, leaving us with absolutely no worries. Vicky, on the other hand, was incredibly warm and attentive, excellent at anticipating little details. For example, knowing we preferred a late check-out, she proactively coordinated it for us. I felt completely looked after and cared for. The service wasn't just formal politeness; you could truly feel their thoughtfulness and warmth. After my stay, my mood was uplifted. It's rare to find such a quiet and luxurious escape in Shanghai. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to truly pamper themselves or enjoy a slow pace with someone special~ Five stars plus one isn't enough; I'll definitely be back!

__WeChat23550****I highly recommend the Pullman Shanghai Jing An – it truly lives up to its five-star reputation! The hotel is located in the heart of Jing'an District, just a hundred meters walk from Shanghai Railway Station Metro, offering seamless transfers on lines 1, 3, and 4. This makes it super convenient to get to attractions like The Bund, Nanjing Road, and Jing'an Temple. Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, the location is absolutely fantastic. The front desk service was professional and efficient; check-in and check-out were smooth from start to finish. The concierge was also incredibly helpful, planning travel routes and answering questions about the local area, which made the entire experience excellent. My room was spacious and elegant, with full-sized floor-to-ceiling windows offering spectacular city views. The bedding was incredibly soft, and I instantly felt my travel fatigue melt away. The bathroom's rain shower and custom toiletries were of excellent quality, and the wet/dry separation design was a thoughtful touch. High-speed WiFi, smart climate control, and other amenities were all provided, showing great attention to detail. The hotel's dining options are also top-notch. The all-day dining restaurant offers a rich variety of breakfast choices, from authentic Chinese pan-fried buns and xiaolongbao to Western bacon and bread. The Chinese restaurant serves delicious local Shanghainese and Cantonese cuisine; the braised pork belly with its rich, savory sauce and the flavorful crab roe xiaolongbao were unforgettable. The leisure facilities are a highlight, too. The 20-meter heated pool on the 6th floor has wonderful natural light and crystal-clear water; you can relax on a lounge chair after a swim. The gym has advanced and comprehensive equipment, plus a yoga room and sauna, catering to all your workout and relaxation needs. The accompanying spa center is perfect for complete mind and body rejuvenation. Throughout my stay, every staff member, from the diligent cleaning ladies to the quick-responding room service, was warm and attentive, truly making me feel at home. The hotel's heated pool, fitness center, and other facilities were meticulously maintained, and the modern art decorations in the common areas were very tasteful. Whether traveling alone or with family, this is an excellent choice for accommodation in Shanghai. I will definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Shanghai!

AAnonymous UserThis was my second stay at the Waldorf Astoria, and this time it was for my birthday. Upon check-in, the front desk lady was very pleasant, but due to a backend issue, we were given the wrong room type 😂. It caused a bit of a delay, but we were in a hurry to go out, so I just took the new key card and left. The bellboy who helped with our luggage was also very nice. On check-out day, there were two ladies at the front desk. One was the same young lady who helped us check in the day before, and her attitude was truly excellent, no complaints – she had a sweet voice. However, the shorter lady standing next to her had a contrasting attitude; she acted as if she was superior and couldn't be bothered. Do I owe you something? When we left, this shorter, older lady didn't even say goodbye. It was the younger lady next to her who did. Is this how the hotel trains its employees? 🙂 Such an attitude. If you don't want to work, just go home.

AAnonymous UserOverall, the room offered excellent value for money. I really liked the charming retro decor – it's clear a lot of care went into the design. Having a smart toilet, a kitchenette, and a washing machine made it feel very well-equipped for longer stays. The breakfast was a definite highlight; it used high-quality ingredients, offered a great mix of Chinese and Western options, and they even focus on sustainability, which is a nice touch. The staff were also very friendly and provided great service. On the downside, there was a noticeable musty smell in the room, which was quite strong. We also spotted a few minor cleanliness issues, like dirty windows that made it hard to clearly enjoy the view outside. Lastly, the shower pressure was quite weak.

AAnonymous UserThis hotel truly offers great value for money! Fiona at the front desk was very enthusiastic and helpful, the room was clean and tidy, and the facilities were complete. The price was also very reasonable. Both check-in and check-out were convenient, and the staff were friendly, making me feel at home during my travels. If I come back to this area again, I will definitely choose this hotel. I highly recommend it to anyone on a budget who still wants quality!

2210611****I booked a scenic room in advance for a belated birthday celebration, hoping to create some beautiful memories. Midway, the price dropped on another platform, so I tried to cancel and rebook, but it didn't work out. I understand there was a no-cancellation policy on the order anyway. Now, about the hotel service! Because I left a note with a special request, Anna successfully reserved the room for me in advance, which was really nice. I'll definitely look for Anna again on my next stay. The service was spot-on; all my questions and requests on WeChat were answered promptly. 5 stars!

BBaishuimuThe hotel's location is very convenient, with easy access to transportation. The rooms are clean, and the lounge team provides excellent service. It was a very pleasant stay. I booked this stay because my child had an exam and we needed a hotel close to the test center. I also specifically requested a quiet room, and the hotel was very accommodating. During our stay, the room was cleaned promptly, and the housekeeping staff were all very friendly and attentive to our needs. The hotel's 38th-floor lounge is definitely worth a visit. It offers great views and timely, attentive service. The afternoon tea selection was also very good. The ambiance is elegant, making it perfect for a casual drink or a business meeting.
