Planning a trip from the Philippines to Phuket? Before your flight, complete the free Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC), which replaces the old paper TM6 arrival card. This guide explains when and how to submit it, which documents Filipino travelers need, and what to expect upon arrival at Phuket International Airport for a smoother entry.
What Is the Phuket Arrival Card?

The Phuket arrival card is not a separate form used only in Phuket. It is part of Thailand’s nationwide Digital Arrival Card system, known as TDAC.
Thailand introduced the TDAC on May 1, 2025, replacing the paper TM6 arrival card. All non-Thai travelers entering Thailand by air, land, or sea must generally complete it before reaching immigration. The form collects your passport details, travel plans, accommodation address, contact information, and recent travel history.
The TDAC is only an arrival registration. It is not a visa and does not guarantee permission to enter Thailand. Immigration officers still make the final entry decision.

Do Filipino Travelers Need the Phuket Arrival Card?
Yes. Filipino passport holders must complete the TDAC before entering Thailand, even when traveling under the visa exemption scheme.
The requirement also applies to:
- Adults traveling for holidays or business
- Infants and children
- Travelers holding Thai tourist or long-term visas
- Travelers entering by air, land, or sea
- Travelers returning to Thailand after visiting another destination
Families can submit information for up to 10 travelers in one group application. However, each person will still receive an individual TDAC record.
Who Does Not Need a TDAC?
The TDAC is generally not required for:
- Thai nationals
- Airline or transport crew
- Airside transit passengers who do not pass through Thai immigration
Travelers holding a Thailand Privilege Card are still foreign nationals and should complete the TDAC.
Do Filipinos Need a Visa for Phuket?
As of July 22, 2026, Filipino ordinary passport holders remain eligible to enter Thailand without a visa for stays of up to 60 days. However, Thailand has approved a new visa framework that may reduce the visa-exempt stay to 30 days. The change is still awaiting publication in the Royal Gazette and will take effect 15 days after publication.
Filipino travelers should check the latest Thai Embassy or Ministry of Foreign Affairs announcement shortly before departure.
Remember that visa-free entry and TDAC registration are separate requirements. Even if you do not need a Thai visa, you must still submit the TDAC.
Phuket Entry Requirements for Filipino Travelers
Prepare the following documents before flying to Phuket:
- Philippine passport valid for at least six months from your arrival date
- Completed TDAC with the confirmation QR code
- Visa or proof of visa-exempt eligibility
- Confirmed return or onward ticket
- Phuket hotel reservation or accommodation details
- Full address of your first accommodation in Thailand
- Evidence of sufficient travel funds, if requested
- Supporting documents showing the purpose of your visit, when applicable
Thai immigration officers may request proof of funds during entry screening. For certain visa-exempt entries, the stated amount is THB10,000 per person or THB20,000 per family. Children below 12 years old are excluded from this requirement.

When Should You Complete the Phuket TDAC?
Submit the TDAC within three days before your arrival in Thailand, including your arrival date.
For example, if you will arrive in Phuket on July 22, you may complete the form on July 20, 21, or 22. Completing it one or two days before departure is recommended so you have time to check your information and save the confirmation.
Kiosks and Wi-Fi may be available at Phuket International Airport for travelers who cannot complete the form beforehand. However, filling it in after landing may delay your immigration clearance.
The TDAC form cannot be saved halfway. Prepare all your information before starting.

How to Fill In the Phuket TDAC Online
Step 1: Visit the Official TDAC Website
Go to tdac.immigration.go.th and select your preferred language. Click “Arrival Card” to begin an individual or group submission.
TDAC registration is completely free. Avoid third-party websites that request processing or application fees.
Step 2: Enter Your Passport Information
Enter your information exactly as printed on your Philippine passport. This includes your:
- Family name
- Given name and middle name
- Passport number
- Nationality
- Date of birth
- Gender
You can enter the details manually or use the MRZ scanner to read the machine-readable lines at the bottom of your passport information page.
Always check the scanned information. The MRZ reader may occasionally enter a name, passport number, or date incorrectly.
Step 3: Complete Your Personal Information
Provide your country of residence, city or state of residence, occupation, and phone number where requested.
Enter all required details in English. Avoid adding titles such as Mr., Ms., Dr., or Attorney unless the form specifically asks for them.
Step 4: Enter Your Travel Details
Provide the details of the flight that brings you into Thailand, including:
- Arrival date
- Mode of travel
- Flight number
- Country where you boarded
- Purpose of visit
- Departure date and flight, if available
If you are flying directly from Manila to Phuket, enter the Philippines as the country where you boarded.
If you have a connecting flight, enter the country where you boarded your final flight to Thailand. For example, if you fly from Manila to Kuala Lumpur and then Kuala Lumpur to Phuket, select Malaysia.
If your journey is Manila to Bangkok to Phuket and you clear Thai immigration in Bangkok, Bangkok is your first entry point into Thailand.
Step 5: Enter Your Phuket Accommodation
Enter the name and complete address of your first hotel or accommodation in Thailand.
You may need to select:
- Accommodation type
- Province
- District
- Subdistrict
- Postal code
- Street address
Select Phuket as the province when staying on the island. Copy the address directly from your hotel confirmation to avoid spelling mistakes.
If you will stay at several hotels, use the address of your first accommodation.
Step 6: Complete the Health Declaration
Enter the countries or territories you visited during the 14 days before arriving in Thailand.
The system may request additional health information depending on your nationality, flight, or recent travel history.
Step 7: Add Other Travelers
If you are traveling with family or friends, select “Add Other Travelers.” A group application can include up to 10 people.
Parents or guardians must complete the form for infants and children.
Step 8: Review and Submit
Check every detail carefully, especially your:
- Full name
- Passport number
- Nationality
- Date of birth
- Arrival date
- Flight number
- Hotel address
Enter a valid email address, accept the declaration, and submit the form.
Step 9: Download Your TDAC QR Code
After submitting, download your TDAC confirmation containing the QR code. A copy will also be sent to your email.
Save a screenshot that can be opened without internet access. You may show the digital copy at immigration, but printing one paper copy is useful if your phone runs out of battery.

What If You Make a Mistake?
Use the “Update Arrival Card” option on the official TDAC website if your flight, hotel, or other editable information changes.
You will need your TDAC number, date of birth, and nationality to find the submission.
Some important details, including your full name, passport number, nationality, and date of birth, cannot be changed through the update function. If one of these details is incorrect, submit a new TDAC. The system will use your most recent valid submission.
Phuket Arrival Process at Phuket International Airport
1. Follow the International Arrivals Signs
After leaving the aircraft, follow the signs for International Arrivals and Passport Control. Keep your passport and TDAC confirmation ready.
2. Proceed to Immigration
Filipino travelers entering under the current visa exemption scheme do not need to visit the Visa on Arrival counter. Proceed to the immigration lanes indicated by airport staff.
Present your:
- Passport
- TDAC QR code, if requested
- Return ticket or hotel booking, if requested
- Proof of funds, if requested
Phuket introduced automated passport channels for international departures on June 13, 2026. The official announcement did not confirm that all foreign visitors could use automated gates for arrival clearance. Follow the latest airport signs and instructions instead of assuming you can use an arrival e-gate.
3. Collect Your Baggage
After immigration, check the airport information screens for your flight number and baggage carousel. Free luggage trolleys are normally available in the baggage claim area.
4. Clear Customs
Choose the green channel if you have nothing to declare and are within Thailand’s duty-free limits.
Choose the red channel if you have restricted goods, commercial items, excess alcohol or tobacco, or anything that requires declaration.
Customs officers may scan or inspect baggage based on risk assessment.
5. Enter the Arrivals Hall
After customs, you will reach the public arrivals area. Taxi counters, airport transfer desks, SIM card shops, ATMs, and currency exchange services are available inside the terminal.

The Twin Towers Hotel เดอะ ทวิน ทาวเวอร์ offers very good value for Bangkok. The hotel is definitely a little outdated, but the rooms are surprisingly spacious and comfortable for the price.
The swimming pool is a nice bonus and a good place to relax. There is also a gym, although it is quite basic and some of the equipment feels old and rusty.
The biggest weakness is the check-in process. Check-in is only available after 2 PM, which is understandable, but they also would not allow the registration procedures and documents to be completed before 2 PM. This means many guests start the entire process at the same time, making the reception unnecessarily slow and inefficient during peak check-in hours.
The room itself was spacious, although the toilet bowl in my room was constantly draining a small amount of water, so some maintenance would definitely help.
Overall, despite its age and a few operational issues, The Twin Towers Hotel is still a solid choice if you prioritize space, a swimming pool and good value for money over modern facilities. At around HKD 450 per night, it is difficult to complain too much.FromAU$41

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful property. The location is perfect, right on the banks of the Chao Phraya River, offering lovely views and a peaceful atmosphere. Hotel has an outstanding hospitality. Every member of the staff—from the bell attendants and reception team to the housekeeping staff, are warm, courteous, professional, and always eager to help.
We even got a complimentary upgrade from a Deluxe Premium Room to a Suite, which made our stay even more memorable. The suite was spacious, elegant, and very comfortable. Breakfast got a huge variety to offer.

The only issue with this hotel was the slow Wi-Fi. If you're staying here, you might need an unlimited data plan.
The entire hotel staff was incredibly proactive and attentive, and they could communicate in basic Chinese. We checked in around 3 or 4 AM, and all our check-in documents were already prepared for us, making the process very efficient. The lobby can help receive food deliveries and packages, and collection is also very meticulous and convenient.
The room space was ample. Although the facilities were visibly a bit dated, they were very well-maintained. There were quite a few mirrors, and when my friend expressed some concern about the room's decor, they promptly helped us adjust it. The bathroom had a slight odor, but it was within an acceptable range.
There's a 7-Eleven right downstairs from the hotel, and the location is very close to both the BTS and the Airport Rail Link, making it very convenient to get to the city center.FromAU$118

Talk about a 'Lost in Thailand' real-life scenario! My flight was delayed, so I didn't get to the hotel until after 1 AM. All I wanted was to shower and sleep, but first, my key card wouldn't work, and I couldn't get the elevator to go up. A staff member used her master key to take me to the room. Once we got there, it was pitch black. She hadn't brought a key card to activate the power. I tried to explain in English, but she must not have understood. So, she went back down to get a key card, leaving my child and me in a dark, hot, and exhausting room. Finally, with the power on, I thought I could shower and sleep. But then I noticed the 'disposable' slippers looked like they'd been used for a month – they were pilled and even had hair inside. On top of that, the lighting was strange; the room's decor was very dark. The bed was incredibly hard, and the curtains didn't close properly, letting light in. The bed faced east, which felt odd. The air conditioning was deafeningly loud, like the outdoor unit was inside the room. Even on the lowest setting, it was booming. I didn't sleep a wink. It was too noisy with the AC on and too hot with it off, so I ended up turning it on and off six or seven times throughout the night. The next day, I switched rooms, and it was much better, though the AC was still quite loud. Luckily, it wasn't too hot with it off, so I just left it off. The hotel's location is good; it's a ten-minute walk to Central Department Store, which is great for shopping and dining. There's also a big mall five minutes away, and several 7-Elevens right across from the hotel. The pool is small and didn't look very clean, probably because it's older. The service, however, was quite good. The staff always had smiles, and the bellhops proactively helped with luggage, with a dedicated staff member opening doors. Overall, the first night was a bad experience, but after changing rooms, I was quite satisfied. The hotel even did turn-down service and changed towels on the second night, which was a nice touch. I really hope they provide new disposable slippers for every guest; otherwise, I'm worried about hygiene, especially with foot infections. The receptionist accompanies you to the room, pointing out the different facilities and where you are able to find everything!
This hotel is also the tallest in Chinatown, so the sunset view is gorgeous at the very top, where there is a 360 panoramic view in a revolving restaurant and bar.
However, I enjoyed the 17th level bar even more, as they have a nostalgia set when I was there, costing only 450 baht for soup, salad, pizza and 2 pints of beer!
P.S Colouring my hair (roots) was 800baht at the salon downstairs, look for TangMo! She did a wonderful job and even threw in hair treatment at this price! We discovered later on that this was apparently the tallest building in the country. That said, the lobby was on the 18th floor whereas the entrance was at ground level, so a little confusing the first time, especially when scheduling tours where folks would actually park and walk up to elevator up to the 18th floor vs wait in the lot at ground level. Beyond that, the shower head in our room leaked a lot and water temp fluctuated quite a bit sometimes (likely because of peak usage, but that’s just a guess). The roof bar and the 360 degree rotating view of the city is a site to behold. It’s a great place to watch the sunset if there isn’t a storm rolling in (which is what happened to us), but we still made the best of it. Another nit is that we couldn’t figure out how to adjust the temperature of our room… it was either full blast ice box or OFF. My wife gets cold easily and I run 20 degrees hotter than most humans, so this setback made sleeping interesting for me since I cater to my wife 🤣. Another fun fact is that, due to location, your transport will almost always arrive late and drop you off late. This is due to the pop up markets that block streets in the area (at least during the time of our stay). If you have a tight schedule, bring a lot of Thai cash for transit cards or be prepared to potentially get drenched on a grab scooter ride as it weaves between gridlocked cars trying to pick you up at prime time. Amari Pattaya boasts an excellent location, conveniently close to Terminal 21 shopping mall. The facilities are comprehensive and clean. The swimming pool is thoughtfully divided into a kids' area, a splash zone, and an adult section, catering to all ages. Next to the pool, there's also a kids' playroom with staff on duty to supervise children for extended periods.
Since our stay was during peak season, there were many guests, so we had to queue for breakfast during busy times. Even with the wait, the staff managed the arrangements very efficiently, and the waiting time wasn't too long.
Additionally, the hotel features Prego, an Italian restaurant specializing in pasta, where children can sign up for a fun pizza-making activity.

Evergreen Place is my legendary hotel as I stay with them since 2011 and I always like to return to it. First and most important feature is its location as it is convenient and located not far away from the places you will enjoy either food, shopping, commuting and it will be a great hub for sigtseeing all over the Bangkok. Evergreen place manage to maintain its quality throughout the years, there were some ups and also some down during that time but I see progress now in 2026. I got Deluxe Suite with Kitchen for very convenient price so I did not hesitate to book it through Trip. At that time it was far cheapest and that is why I started to use Trip.com more. Stay was great. Our kid enjoyed on the swimming pool which now has a true little water slide not just some plastic one. Swimming pool is great and it is covered with sunshine throughout the day so you will have a feeling that you are rather somewhere at the sea side and not in the centre of Bangkok. Only the AC hums all around will remind you that you are in the metropola. Evergreen is great as BTS is just near, 7-eleven is below, boat to the old centre is through the bridge. You can use the same boat also to reach Pratunam pier and have the best exchange at SuperRick (either orange or green). Paor restaurant is a short stroll away so take that oportunity to explore this tip and go to that restaurant as it is beyond Michelin stars in taste but price is local. Explore and see it is very famous thing. This is it on short. Next holidays in Bangkok and I will not miss to stay with Evergreen Place again. And yeah I love their Mt. Sapola body wash and shampoos. I stayed at this hotel for a business trip in May and had a good experience, so I re-booked the same hotel for another business trip in July. However, this time the service was exceptionally bad.
When I booked the hotel on July 8th, I specifically requested two separate beds. Five minutes later, I received confirmation from the hotel acknowledging our request. On July 14th at 7 PM, we arrived at the hotel to check in, and they told us there were no twin rooms available and expected two grown men to share a king-sized bed. Isn't that ridiculous?
We immediately called Ctrip to mediate, but the communication was fruitless. The hotel refused to switch us to a twin room, citing full occupancy. They then suggested we add an extra bed (for 1177 THB per night, which is about 240 RMB). They also said that our request was 'subject to availability' and if they had it, they'd provide it, but if not, there was nothing they could do.
What kind of excuse is that? We clearly stated our request when placing the order, and when you confirmed my booking, it implied you understood this requirement. Hotel bookings are made with prior knowledge of requests, not with a last-minute 'subject to availability' clause. If you couldn't provide it, you shouldn't have confirmed my order in the first place.
It was clearly the hotel's mistake, yet they wouldn't switch our room and expected the customer to bear the extra cost for an additional bed due to their error. Since our booking was non-refundable and it was late, we didn't have time to find an alternative hotel.
Ultimately, we ended up paying an additional 4708 THB / 960 RMB (for 4 nights). Ctrip eventually reimbursed us for the extra bed, but the hotel's behavior was completely outrageous and frankly disgusting.FromAU$102

Stayed 2x weeks, it’s Located at 7-10 mins walks to Pom Phrong BTS, which is a big far in case of rainy days or at afternoon which could be scorching hot. The breakfast is average , where in some days below average. I truly enjoyed almost daily their swimming pool and onsen, just the operating hours only start at 7am which is a bit late. You might be lucky and get a good room right away (do not book the orange one!!!), but I had to change room twice.
One was on the floor with carpets, very old, dark and with the smell of mold, AC was making unbearable noise. Another one was fully renovated with the smell of paint or glue, so after a night there, I had a terrible headache (assuming mild chemical poisoning), so please be careful. It was new, but wasn't very clean (someone fake eye lashes on the table, some lost jewelry piece and some tiny rocks here and there, taking a shower, water was literally everywhere because of the way it flows, not very well thought through). Some other friends heard construction all the time.
Then staff showed me 2 other rooms the next day and I finally got a good one. Was a very comfortable roo. With a great view. (The door wasn't working well, so had to ask staff twice for help).
They were helpful, but they obviously know hotel is not in the best condition.
I will avoid this place in the future, as it wasn't the most pleasant experience, it shouldn't take seeing 4 rooms to find one to be able to rest in.FromAU$73

I had a very mixed experience staying at this hotel. I'll try to break it down point by point.
The first thing you notice upon entering the room is a strong, pungent smell of dampness and old carpet that lingers in the air and simply cannot be aired out. To make matters worse, when I tried to lie down, I discovered that the upholstery on the lower bunk (or the base of the mattress) was literally torn, with frayed edges sticking out — which hardly contributes to comfort or hygiene. If you add to this the widespread scratches on the furniture, chipped tiles, and a generally outdated ”Soviet-style” charm, you get the feeling that the hotel is stuck in the past. Everything looks very old and worn out.
However, as a counterbalance to all this, I must give huge credit to the hotel team. They are true professionals. The breakfasts here are genuinely delicious and varied, which was a very pleasant surprise. I would also like to specifically commend the staff — they are exceptionally well-trained and friendly, which is rare to find these days. Everyone greets you with a smile, makes eye contact, and is happy to assist with any request. You can really tell they have great service standards.
But there is one aspect that really upset me. Upstairs, near the pool, there is a small night café with a nice view. However, I spotted a cockroach right next to the serving trays where the food and utensils were laid out. This is completely unacceptable for any establishment that serves food.
I strongly urge the hotel management to pay close attention to the sanitation standards in the pool area and the night café. Delicious food and polite staff cannot compensate for hygiene violations.
In conclusion: This hotel definitely does not justify the price they ask for. At this price point, I expect cleanliness, fresh renovations, and a complete absence of insects — not having to tolerate bad smells and torn furniture. First off, there's a major flaw with the hotel: it seems most rooms, except for corner ones, are connecting rooms. This results in terrible soundproofing. You can clearly hear if your neighbors speak even a little loudly. On the first night, I was woken up at 2 AM by the sounds of the couple next door. When I went to the front desk the next day to switch rooms, I was met with eye rolls and impatience. Then, the room change itself was a hassle with all sorts of procedures and time restrictions; I couldn't move to a new room until 2 PM, even though rooms were clearly available.
My second issue is with the bathroom. The shower has no door or curtain to prevent water from splashing out. This means every time you take a shower, the bathroom floor will be completely flooded. Your towel will also be soaking wet. The sink design is also a disaster; water splashes out every time you turn on the faucet.
My third and biggest issue is the absolutely, incredibly, exceptionally poor service. I specifically want to call out the young, slightly overweight female front desk staff with a ponytail. She gave me constant eye rolls and showed extreme impatience. I don't know what her problem was. I booked this place for two nights. I saw other reviews saying the accommodation was clean, but for me, the bathroom was quite dirty, as if the housekeeper hadn't cleaned it at all. There were stain marks on the walls and the sink was also stained. However, the duvet and bedsheets were quite clean. On the second night, the housekeeper forgot to provide towels, so I called reception to request some. But after a long wait, no one brought them up, so my partner had to go down to get them himself.
