Planning a trip from the Philippines to Phuket? Before your flight, complete the free Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC), which replaces the old paper TM6 arrival card. This guide explains when and how to submit it, which documents Filipino travelers need, and what to expect upon arrival at Phuket International Airport for a smoother entry.
What Is the Phuket Arrival Card?

The Phuket arrival card is not a separate form used only in Phuket. It is part of Thailand’s nationwide Digital Arrival Card system, known as TDAC.
Thailand introduced the TDAC on May 1, 2025, replacing the paper TM6 arrival card. All non-Thai travelers entering Thailand by air, land, or sea must generally complete it before reaching immigration. The form collects your passport details, travel plans, accommodation address, contact information, and recent travel history.
The TDAC is only an arrival registration. It is not a visa and does not guarantee permission to enter Thailand. Immigration officers still make the final entry decision.

Do Filipino Travelers Need the Phuket Arrival Card?
Yes. Filipino passport holders must complete the TDAC before entering Thailand, even when traveling under the visa exemption scheme.
The requirement also applies to:
- Adults traveling for holidays or business
- Infants and children
- Travelers holding Thai tourist or long-term visas
- Travelers entering by air, land, or sea
- Travelers returning to Thailand after visiting another destination
Families can submit information for up to 10 travelers in one group application. However, each person will still receive an individual TDAC record.
Who Does Not Need a TDAC?
The TDAC is generally not required for:
- Thai nationals
- Airline or transport crew
- Airside transit passengers who do not pass through Thai immigration
Travelers holding a Thailand Privilege Card are still foreign nationals and should complete the TDAC.
Do Filipinos Need a Visa for Phuket?
As of July 22, 2026, Filipino ordinary passport holders remain eligible to enter Thailand without a visa for stays of up to 60 days. However, Thailand has approved a new visa framework that may reduce the visa-exempt stay to 30 days. The change is still awaiting publication in the Royal Gazette and will take effect 15 days after publication.
Filipino travelers should check the latest Thai Embassy or Ministry of Foreign Affairs announcement shortly before departure.
Remember that visa-free entry and TDAC registration are separate requirements. Even if you do not need a Thai visa, you must still submit the TDAC.
Phuket Entry Requirements for Filipino Travelers
Prepare the following documents before flying to Phuket:
- Philippine passport valid for at least six months from your arrival date
- Completed TDAC with the confirmation QR code
- Visa or proof of visa-exempt eligibility
- Confirmed return or onward ticket
- Phuket hotel reservation or accommodation details
- Full address of your first accommodation in Thailand
- Evidence of sufficient travel funds, if requested
- Supporting documents showing the purpose of your visit, when applicable
Thai immigration officers may request proof of funds during entry screening. For certain visa-exempt entries, the stated amount is THB10,000 per person or THB20,000 per family. Children below 12 years old are excluded from this requirement.

When Should You Complete the Phuket TDAC?
Submit the TDAC within three days before your arrival in Thailand, including your arrival date.
For example, if you will arrive in Phuket on July 22, you may complete the form on July 20, 21, or 22. Completing it one or two days before departure is recommended so you have time to check your information and save the confirmation.
Kiosks and Wi-Fi may be available at Phuket International Airport for travelers who cannot complete the form beforehand. However, filling it in after landing may delay your immigration clearance.
The TDAC form cannot be saved halfway. Prepare all your information before starting.

How to Fill In the Phuket TDAC Online
Step 1: Visit the Official TDAC Website
Go to tdac.immigration.go.th and select your preferred language. Click “Arrival Card” to begin an individual or group submission.
TDAC registration is completely free. Avoid third-party websites that request processing or application fees.
Step 2: Enter Your Passport Information
Enter your information exactly as printed on your Philippine passport. This includes your:
- Family name
- Given name and middle name
- Passport number
- Nationality
- Date of birth
- Gender
You can enter the details manually or use the MRZ scanner to read the machine-readable lines at the bottom of your passport information page.
Always check the scanned information. The MRZ reader may occasionally enter a name, passport number, or date incorrectly.
Step 3: Complete Your Personal Information
Provide your country of residence, city or state of residence, occupation, and phone number where requested.
Enter all required details in English. Avoid adding titles such as Mr., Ms., Dr., or Attorney unless the form specifically asks for them.
Step 4: Enter Your Travel Details
Provide the details of the flight that brings you into Thailand, including:
- Arrival date
- Mode of travel
- Flight number
- Country where you boarded
- Purpose of visit
- Departure date and flight, if available
If you are flying directly from Manila to Phuket, enter the Philippines as the country where you boarded.
If you have a connecting flight, enter the country where you boarded your final flight to Thailand. For example, if you fly from Manila to Kuala Lumpur and then Kuala Lumpur to Phuket, select Malaysia.
If your journey is Manila to Bangkok to Phuket and you clear Thai immigration in Bangkok, Bangkok is your first entry point into Thailand.
Step 5: Enter Your Phuket Accommodation
Enter the name and complete address of your first hotel or accommodation in Thailand.
You may need to select:
- Accommodation type
- Province
- District
- Subdistrict
- Postal code
- Street address
Select Phuket as the province when staying on the island. Copy the address directly from your hotel confirmation to avoid spelling mistakes.
If you will stay at several hotels, use the address of your first accommodation.
Step 6: Complete the Health Declaration
Enter the countries or territories you visited during the 14 days before arriving in Thailand.
The system may request additional health information depending on your nationality, flight, or recent travel history.
Step 7: Add Other Travelers
If you are traveling with family or friends, select “Add Other Travelers.” A group application can include up to 10 people.
Parents or guardians must complete the form for infants and children.
Step 8: Review and Submit
Check every detail carefully, especially your:
- Full name
- Passport number
- Nationality
- Date of birth
- Arrival date
- Flight number
- Hotel address
Enter a valid email address, accept the declaration, and submit the form.
Step 9: Download Your TDAC QR Code
After submitting, download your TDAC confirmation containing the QR code. A copy will also be sent to your email.
Save a screenshot that can be opened without internet access. You may show the digital copy at immigration, but printing one paper copy is useful if your phone runs out of battery.

What If You Make a Mistake?
Use the “Update Arrival Card” option on the official TDAC website if your flight, hotel, or other editable information changes.
You will need your TDAC number, date of birth, and nationality to find the submission.
Some important details, including your full name, passport number, nationality, and date of birth, cannot be changed through the update function. If one of these details is incorrect, submit a new TDAC. The system will use your most recent valid submission.
Phuket Arrival Process at Phuket International Airport
1. Follow the International Arrivals Signs
After leaving the aircraft, follow the signs for International Arrivals and Passport Control. Keep your passport and TDAC confirmation ready.
2. Proceed to Immigration
Filipino travelers entering under the current visa exemption scheme do not need to visit the Visa on Arrival counter. Proceed to the immigration lanes indicated by airport staff.

- Passport
- TDAC QR code, if requested
- Return ticket or hotel booking, if requested
- Proof of funds, if requested
Phuket introduced automated passport channels for international departures on June 13, 2026. The official announcement did not confirm that all foreign visitors could use automated gates for arrival clearance. Follow the latest airport signs and instructions instead of assuming you can use an arrival e-gate.
3. Collect Your Baggage
After immigration, check the airport information screens for your flight number and baggage carousel. Free luggage trolleys are normally available in the baggage claim area.
4. Clear Customs
Choose the green channel if you have nothing to declare and are within Thailand’s duty-free limits.
Choose the red channel if you have restricted goods, commercial items, excess alcohol or tobacco, or anything that requires declaration.
Customs officers may scan or inspect baggage based on risk assessment.
5. Enter the Arrivals Hall
After customs, you will reach the public arrivals area. Taxi counters, airport transfer desks, SIM card shops, ATMs, and currency exchange services are available inside the terminal.

Car parking service is available if you drive. The hotel provide shuttle service from 8am to 8pm at every 30 minutes to bts station or you can walk 7 minutes to station if your miss it. Nearby has a famous mango sticky rice shop you should try it at sukhumvit soi 53. There is another one called Ning’s Mango stand @Food Street Soi 38 which is opp the famous mango shop. The only issue with this hotel was the slow Wi-Fi. If you're staying here, you might need an unlimited data plan.
The entire hotel staff was incredibly proactive and attentive, and they could communicate in basic Chinese. We checked in around 3 or 4 AM, and all our check-in documents were already prepared for us, making the process very efficient. The lobby can help receive food deliveries and packages, and collection is also very meticulous and convenient.
The room space was ample. Although the facilities were visibly a bit dated, they were very well-maintained. There were quite a few mirrors, and when my friend expressed some concern about the room's decor, they promptly helped us adjust it. The bathroom had a slight odor, but it was within an acceptable range.

This was my second chance of redemption visit to The Standard hotel. The aesthetics and friendly staff here are what made this visit OK!
But compared to other 5* hotels in Bkk this is missing some service touches.
No welcome drink/room gift, no one by the pool with free water unless you order something from the bar and then they bring water... Makes the experience feel budget star.
4 bottles of comp water in the room is not enough once you use two bottles to make coffee, a preference on coffee capsules would have been nice... I didn't think to request in advance all decaf. There was also no milk to go in the coffee.
I didn't want to go through the efforts to request more as I was busy.
The hotel music is somewhat better than others but does feel like ai sludge after a day of sitting poolside.
The pool felt uncomfortably busy at late afternoon sunset hours.
If you want to tick this hotel off your list 1-2 nights is enough, the beds are super comfy, although mine squeaked sometimes, and the linen was top quality, as we're the super fluffy soft bathroom towels -then nicest I've felt in a long time!

The hotel is located in the Sukhumvit area. The staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. During my first stay, the room was nice and well equipped with everything I needed, including large bottles of shampoo and body wash, a hair dryer, a kettle, tea and coffee, a wardrobe, and a small working area.
However, my experience during my second stay was not quite as good. There was a small hole in the door, which made me feel a little uncomfortable, although it was not possible to see through it from outside. The sink was also clogged. The staff were very helpful and immediately sent someone to fix it. When it could not be repaired, they kindly upgraded me to a family room.
Despite the issues with the room, I was very impressed with how the staff handled the situation and took care of me. The location is also convenient, with a 7-Eleven and several restaurants nearby. I would stay here again if I needed to attend a meeting in this area.

This is my second stay here, the last time was ten years ago when it was still called Red Planet. The hotel is better maintained than I expected, and the 7-Eleven downstairs is still there.
Taking a Grab Economy from the airport plus tolls cost about CNY 80. The hotel's location is excellent. I'm a good walker, so I could easily reach BTS Chong Nonsi, Sala Daeng, and MRT Silom/Sam Yan on foot.
The hotel doesn't provide toiletries, and the room space is quite limited, something to consider if you have large luggage. Soundproofing is just okay; it's generally quiet at night, but I always wear earplugs to avoid being woken up. One night, a compatriot staying in the next room was talking loudly on the phone.

I had previously visited this hotel on an excursion from Pattaya. Now, traveling with my daughter to Koh Samet via Bangkok, we didn't hesitate to book this hotel again. I wanted to show my daughter the revolving observation deck on the 84th floor, the museum, and the large, diverse dinner buffet. We stayed on the 28th floor. The staff was welcoming, and the hotel's floor layout is well-planned. The reception is on the 18th floor. We were greeted immediately upon arrival, our luggage was taken care of, and we were escorted to reception. We were checked in a bit early, at 1 PM, and led to our room. The door opened and… I was surprised. The exterior impression didn't match the interior. The room was spacious, but had low ceilings, old and worn-out furniture. It was a corner room and very dark, with only one small, narrow window (very dirty) and unwashed curtains, overlooking a neighboring hotel wall. You could barely catch a glimpse of the city (we had booked a non-corner room with a city view). The large room had only two small lights, perhaps to hide the room's surprises. The entire room had carpet (which also seemed ancient). The bed linen and towels were clean but visibly old and worn from countless washes; the duvet cover even had pilling, and the towels were far from white – they really should have been replaced. The carpet also extended throughout the hotel corridors, which I believe contributed to the musty smell in both the room and corridors, a smell even the air fresheners (sprayers located everywhere – in corridors and lifts) couldn't mask. During housekeeping, the maid constantly turned on the air conditioning in our room. Initially, we didn't understand why. We went to reception to return a misplaced card (thinking the maid had left it during cleaning), and they told us to leave it on so the air conditioner would run. Then the picture became clear: if you turned off the air conditioning, an unpleasant smell filled the room, and even the sewage smell from the toilet carried through the ventilation. Strangely, there's no ventilation in the toilet, so we had to leave the door open when we left the room and keep the air conditioning on 16°C. This hotel is in dire need of renovation! The room's price doesn't reflect its condition. The hotel has a sports area with mini-golf and a small swimming pool (also from the same outdated facilities). There's also a floor with a spa and fitness center. On the 18th floor, there's a small shop and a few cafes. The food at the hotel, both breakfast and dinner, was excellent. You can dine on the balcony (with glass railings) on the 81st floor – the view is superb. This is the only thing that makes up for the hotel's aging facilities. There's a free transfer to the airport metro line – which is great! I recommend staying on the upper floors for a magnificent view! I only recommend this hotel for short stays.FromTHB 1,986

Came here for our anniversary trip, and at this price, it was truly a steal. The service is five-star, but the facilities are four-star at best.
First, the pros:
1) Excellent service. They upgraded our room knowing it was our anniversary and even sent us dessert.
2) Housekeeping was very prompt, even cleaning twice. The first time was for general tidiness, and the second was for detailed touches (like laying out absorbent mats, etc.). My cosmetics were also neatly organized.
3) The room was very spacious, with comfortable bedding and a sofa.
4) They provided aromatherapy candles and other amenities, and someone even knocked on our door every evening to deliver facial mist.
5) High floor with great views.
Now, the cons:
1) Currently undergoing extensive renovation, so the public areas are very small. The hotel lobby entrance requires going through a narrow, cardboard-partitioned corridor, which looks undignified.
2) Due to the renovation, check-in was on the 19th floor, and the waiting time was extremely long. It was the longest I've ever waited to check in. Every time we returned to our room, we had to go to the 19th floor to switch elevators to the guest room area.
3) A bit far from the subway station. Although there's a shuttle service, it's hourly and requires advance booking, so we didn't end up using it.
4) The in-room facilities are indeed old. The showerhead was difficult to use, with low water pressure and couldn't be fixed in place.
5) The TV placement was puzzling, but we didn't watch it anyway.

Just a friendly heads-up: rooms only provide towels and bath towels, no slippers or toothbrushes, so you'll need to bring your own (there's a 7-Eleven downstairs if you need to buy some).
Overall, the stay was great, but my only dissatisfaction was with the management of the hotel's tuk-tuk service by the concierge. I hope this serves as a warning to future guests.
The picture shows the tuk-tuk usage rules. The driver is a young man from the concierge desk. I spoke with the gentleman at the front desk/concierge, and he confirmed that the tuk-tuk departs on the hour every hour. For the return trip, you just call, and it will pick you up at a designated spot (between 8 AM and 6 PM). So, I went out to retrieve my luggage (which I had stored elsewhere), and seeing that it was almost on the hour, I called and requested the tuk-tuk, explaining I was at Starbucks. The person who answered (it was a female, presumably from the front desk) said, ”Okay, just wait.” After waiting for a while with no tuk-tuk, I called again. I was told that since it was on the hour, they needed to prioritize guests departing the hotel, dropping them off first before picking me up (which I understood, so I continued to wait). A few more minutes passed, and still no tuk-tuk. I called a third time to ask if the tuk-tuk had left. The answer I got was astonishing: ”Since no guests are leaving the hotel by tuk-tuk, you'll have to walk back yourself.” I was dumbfounded at that moment… If I hadn't called again, would I have been waiting forever? If you're not sending a vehicle, shouldn't you notify me immediately? (Knowing a guest is waiting for the tuk-tuk to return to the hotel, and just leaving them stranded like that?)
Setting aside the impoliteness of that phrasing… is it polite? Based on this operation, am I to understand that the tuk-tuk rule is ”drop-offs only, no pick-ups”? If so, why not just write ”drop-offs only”? No one would blame you then… So, I had no choice but to walk back to the hotel, pushing my luggage and carrying my backpack… (When I got back to the lobby, I saw the young man who drives the tuk-tuk just standing idle at the concierge desk…)
I even sent an email afterward to clarify the rules, but it fell on deaf ears. I never received a reply, even after I returned home! Laughable!
For the next two days, I only dared to ask for a ride to the BTS station, not even dreaming of a pick-up.
I can understand that hotel staff might think, ”It's not that far, you can just walk,” but this is confusing concepts. If you don't offer a service, no one will complain. But since you explicitly advertise this service, why isn't it functioning? Furthermore, based on the current stated rules, it seems no one thinks this is an error? Maybe I'm mistaken, and it truly is a ”drop-offs only” rule!
As an established chain, I hope Ibis will properly train its staff on service awareness and amend the incorrect wording of the tuk-tuk usage rules! This should be a bonus service, so why isn't it being fully utilized? Why is it hindering the experience instead? If this service is as good as useless, consider abandoning it.

The quickest way from the airport if you are traveling light i.e. Carryon luggage is to take the airport rail to Makkasan Station and walk to Phetchaburi MRT. Stayed 2x weeks, it’s Located at 7-10 mins walks to Pom Phrong BTS, which is a big far in case of rainy days or at afternoon which could be scorching hot. The breakfast is average , where in some days below average. I truly enjoyed almost daily their swimming pool and onsen, just the operating hours only start at 7am which is a bit late. If could start at 6am instead would be perfect, else it will be a bit rush after use , prior go to work at 8am. The services was excellent. I would rate it 4 star instead , gates by its location and breakfast spread/ food. Aside from this they deserve 4.5star. Will stay again in future if visit BKK again. The hotel is a bit of a walk from the BTS station, about a 10-minute walk from BTS Asok. There's only one convenience store along the way, and only two or three restaurants near the hotel, but lots of massage shops. The room was spacious and comfortable, although the view from my room wasn't great – it was very close to the building opposite, so I often had to keep the curtains drawn. The bathtub design was quite poor (water would splash out and wet the floor). The hotel doesn't provide toothbrushes (you need to bring your own). The breakfast buffet had very limited options, with only a noodle station offering a small selection of meat and meatballs. The swimming pool is quite large, not one of those small, instagrammable pools, you can actually swim properly in it. The hotel does have a shuttle, but it only goes to the end of the street. I really enjoyed my stay at Qiu Hotel Sukhumvit! One of the things I appreciated most was the daily room cleaning and fresh towels, which made the stay really comfortable.
The hotel also has a great atmosphere, especially with the live band and happy hour from 2–8 PM. It’s such a nice way to relax after a day out.
Check-in and check-out were super easy and convenient, which I really appreciated. The hotel also has some cute facilities, including a little mini-golf putting area, swimming pool, and gym, which added to the overall experience.

Here are two things I'd like to commend:
First, the hotel's swimming pool is fantastic. There's a 0.6-meter deep area that's perfect for babies and toddlers to play in. It would be even better if they provided some swimming rings or children's water toys.
Second, the room comes with a washing machine, cutlery, and a microwave, which is very convenient.
Regarding check-in details:
I had booked a room with an extra temporary bed, but the front desk initially wasn't aware of it. It took a while to explain it to them, and I even contacted Trip.com. Trip.com's customer service was very responsive, and I'd like to commend them. The hotel staff also promptly delivered an extra bed.
Location:
The hotel's location isn't far from Siam Center, about a 10-minute walk. You can also take the BTS Skytrain, which is just two stops away.
It's also fairly convenient to get to the night market at night, taking about 15 minutes by taxi.
A note of caution:
I accidentally switched on the 'Do Not Disturb' light behind the door and didn't realize it, so my room wasn't cleaned that day. This is something to be mindful of.

We had such a pleasant stay at Centara Watergate Pavilion Hotel. The hotel team was incredibly friendly and always greeted me whenever we crossed paths, which made the stay feel very welcoming.

The hotel's location is super convenient, right next to IconSiam. When the mall closes, you don't have to fight for a taxi with everyone else; you can just walk back to the hotel, which is great. I booked a river view room, but it wasn't directly facing the river. The highlight of my entire Bangkok trip was unexpectedly this hotel! It's hands down the best family-friendly hotel I've ever stayed in. Initially, from the photos, I thought it would just be similar to the Mandarin Oriental Singapore's family rooms, but it absolutely blew that out of the water. This hotel genuinely puts effort into its service. The family room actually had a Nintendo console, a children's toilet, and a full set of Sebamed children's toiletries that were replaced daily. You can definitely tell that the hotel has some history to it, and unfortunately, its age is starting to show. There were noticeable stains on the curtains and bedsheets, as well as quite a bit of wear and tear on the furniture and amenities. The lift buttons also didn’t work very well and could be frustrating to use.
The biggest concern for me, however, was the bathroom floor. I’m not sure if it was due to the material used, but the floor became extremely slippery once it got wet, which is difficult to avoid when using the shower. It felt like a potential safety issue and was ultimately the deal breaker for me.
The location is also quite a distance from the nearest MRT station, so it may not be the most convenient option if you plan to rely heavily on public transport.
On a positive note, the hotel staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. I genuinely appreciated their hospitality and assistance, and they were definitely one of the highlights of the experience.
