"The location can be either good or bad depending on how you approach it. If you come from the main road, as intended, you'll pass what looks like an abandoned construction site and a recycling warehouse. There's no convenience store right downstairs; you have to walk a bit. However, if you use the narrow alley next to the hotel, which is surrounded by local homes, you can quickly get to the main road. It looks dim and potentially dangerous, but it's not. Breakfast offers items like pho and egg rolls that you can order, and it's generally simple. The pho and egg station are decent, but the quality of the bread could be better, even though there are various types available. Surprisingly, the swimming pool is well-maintained, with sunbeds and showers, and it's not too small. The water quality can be hit or miss. However, considering the price, with free breakfast and a swimming pool, and its relatively close proximity to the Old Town, it's a good value. You can also quickly reach the newly built Hanoi Century (or similar) shopping mall via the alley shortcut, and the Imperial Citadel is within walking distance. Overall, it's a hotel with good value for money."

"Attention – you’ll get ripped off here! We booked 7 nights at this accommodation but checked out after the first night. Just take a look at the pictures and you’ll understand why. There was mold, stains, and a horrible smell all over the room. The faucet was broken, the cupboards were damaged, and construction work in the neighboring building started at 6:30 a.m., drilling into concrete so hard that the bed was shaking. Shortly after check-in, the hotel staff—who were actually very friendly—had to carry out repairs in our room! A piece of furniture that was about to fall off the wall was glued back in place, and a cupboard door was reattached. When we checked out on the second day because of these unacceptable conditions and asked for a refund for the remaining six nights, things got really unpleasant. Trip.com was on our side and tried for two days to contact the accommodation by phone and email, but without success—even though we sat next to the manager for two hours while he simply ignored the calls. He verbally assured us that he would agree to the cancellation. Only on the third day, after we returned in person, were we able to reach a deal and got refunded for three nights. We still had to pay for the rest. We sincerely hope this hotel won’t scam anyone else. Do not book here!"
