"This is a rather old hotel but the location is very much in the middle of old quarters. Super convenient for street shopping and food and as well as massage. It's laid back in one of the alley and tour bus pick up is quite inaccessible so you gonna have to arrange to walk to the main roads with arrangements by your tour guide. Overall the stay is pretty much OK and the rooms are acceptable"

"I stayed at La Vision Hanoi and unfortunately had a very poor experience. I actually checked out and went elsewhere instead after 2 of my 6 nights On arrival, I was able to check in early, which was a positive. However, things quickly went downhill once I got to the room. It looked nothing like the photos online — they appear to be heavily edited or AI-generated. While the furniture was similar, the room itself was much smaller, dark, and poorly lit. The condition of the room was disappointing. Skirting boards were coming off the walls, plaster was peeling from the ceiling, and the walls were visibly dirty. The bathroom was in bad shape too — grime in multiple areas, a slanted shelf, stained towels, and even the tap and shower water had an unpleasant smell. Noise was a major issue. There is essentially no soundproofing. Despite being on a higher floor, I could clearly hear people talking outside, traffic (bikes and cars) constantly, and even conversations from the lobby downstairs. It made it very difficult to rest. The hotel itself feels old and outdated, and there is no lift, which is worth noting. The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable, and there was no room service available. One of the worst experiences happened late at night when I returned to find the hotel completely locked up with shutters down. There’s a bell to ring, but no one responded despite me ringing it repeatedly for a long time. I even recorded a video clearly showing me pressing the bell multiple times with no response. As I don’t have international minutes, I couldn’t call them, so I was left waiting outside for around 30 minutes before someone finally came after I had to bang on the shutters. When I explained the situation and showed the video as proof that I had been ringing the bell, the staff member dismissed it and insisted I should have called instead. I explained that I couldn’t call and had tried other ways to contact them, but they were not on WhatsApp or any accessible platform. The conversation became tense, with the staff member becoming visibly irritated and unhelpful rather than acknowledging the issue or apologising. During this exchange, the staff member also used a derogatory term in Vietnamese towards me while I was clearly frustrated about being left outside on the street, which made the situation even more uncomfortable. Overall, the staff came across as rude and unaccommodating. It also seems like negative reviews may have been removed, as many of the existing ones appear overly positive. This was genuinely one of the worst places I’ve stayed. I ended up checking out early and booking another hotel, effectively paying for two stays just to get out of there. It may be cheap, but there are far better options nearby for a similar price. I would strongly recommend avoiding this hotel."

The hotel is ideally located between the Hanoi Old Quarters and Hoan Keam lake; around 3min walk to the popular night market,Thang Long water puppet theatre, Bhan Mi Pho, Ngoc Son temple, etc. A quick review of our stay - welcome drink-a nice complimentary warm tea and treats; the deluxe rooms w no view-th7e windows can still be opened which is IMO a highly valuable feature for ventilation purpose; the bathroom uses Aqua Senses premium spa-inspired hotel toiletry line; La enMay spa-professional service, uses premium Sothys massage oils, Majesty Sky Bar-nice view of the red bridge and lake, the staff will switch on the infrared heating lamps and provide blankets to warm you up the winter nights at the roof top!; complimentary daily breakfast-you can order vietnamese coffee, omellets, pho or vegetarian from the ala carte menu plus they also have a small buffet; room service with a small selection of ala carte menu- we ordered a medium well steak which was nicely done; spring roll platter visually stunning using black river stones in a bamboo basket to keep the fried spring rolls lifted and crispy!; we booked the transfer to airport-reasonable usd28 for a 6 seater. The hotel is outstanding in terms of service, cleanliness, taste, punctuality, etc. For the price range, I think this hotel offers the best of its class."
