Ibis Styles Bangkok Sukhumvit Phra Khanong

Loved it! Came here to escape the flood, and it was so comfortable with delicious food. Didn't even need to leave at all!

The hotel is about a 5-10 minute walk from Phra Khanong BTS station (exit E8). It's quite convenient to get to the airport via the highway. Although it's not in the city center, it was a good choice during the recent flood as this area wasn't affected much. Being close to the highway is important; it took only 30-40 minutes to the airport with smooth traffic! The bed and pillows were also very comfortable. The separation between the wet and dry areas in the bathroom wasn't great; water tended to overflow. I was also startled to see a cockroach on the table, especially since I was on the 14th floor. However, the overall room size was good and spacious. Considering it was a long weekend, the price was only TWD 1,500 per night. Overall, the good points outweigh the minor flaws.

I've stayed at this hotel multiple times and extended my booking for several nights, so some of my reviews might be similar. The hotel's quality is consistently good. The rooms are clean, breakfast is excellent and varied, and the location is very convenient with a 7-Eleven and BTS station nearby.

No good. My first time staying at this hotel. 1. It's a six-minute walk to Phra Khanong BTS station. There's no large supermarket nearby, only one 7-Eleven, which is very inconvenient. The closest large Lotus supermarket is a 20-minute walk away, near On Nut station. 2. I stayed in room 1008. It was unbelievably cold. Even when I set the AC to 30 degrees, it was still terrifyingly cold, like a morgue. I stayed for four days and almost froze to death. 3. Basic amenities like toothpaste, toothbrushes, slippers, and paper and pens are not provided in the room. You have to go down to the front desk and ask for them yourself. 4. The small bar on the seventh floor is right next to a small pool. Smoking is not allowed in the bar, and it's a non-smoking building overall. 5. For a hotel in Thailand, this room is extremely small.

The hotel is quite good, and the breakfast is abundant. The price is not high, making it a top choice for business travelers. The only drawback is that it's a bit far from the subway station, so getting around isn't as convenient. However, there's a convenience store downstairs, which is handy for buying things.
