But definitely avoid this hotel in the Patong area. The entire room was incredibly damp and had a strong musty smell. I got sick after just one night, and the replacement room wasn't much better. There are construction sites and dust everywhere outside. The air conditioning hasn't been cleaned in probably a decade. The surrounding roads are under constant repair all day long, making it very dusty. And the street vendors are constantly loud and soliciting."

The hotel's water facilities kept the kids entertained for hours. There are plenty of dining and entertainment options right next to the hotel. While it's not as lively as Patong, it's still very convenient. The beach is a 10-minute walk away. You can't go wrong choosing Baan Mai Khao if you're traveling with children."

My stay at the Deevana Patong Resort & Spa was a stark contrast to some of the reviews online, and I highly recommend it for families with children! 1. **Impeccable and Proactive Service** The entire staff was incredibly attentive. Many times, they anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, approaching us to offer help. The attention to detail was exceptional, and everyone was gentle and patient. It made for a fantastic vacation experience from start to finish. 2. **Delicious Meals, Diverse Breakfast** All three meals at the hotel were delicious. The breakfast buffet was especially abundant, featuring a variety of Asian flavors, including Indian and vegetarian sections. For Chinese guests, there were even Chinese hot porridges and noodles, so there's absolutely no need to worry about not finding something you like. 3. **Clean and Dry Rooms – Perfect for Families** Unlike the common issue of dampness and musty smells found in many coastal hotels, there was absolutely none of that here! My family room was dry and spotless, with no tiny insects throughout our stay. The environment was fresh and comfortable, making it super reassuring for stays with young children. 4. **Exclusive Petting Zoo – Kids Loved It!** The resort has its own unique petting zoo, which was the biggest surprise of our trip! It's open daily from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The animals are gentle and adorable, and the kids loved spending a long time there every visit, having an absolute blast. 5. **Excellent Facilities, Easy Beach Access** The resort features several pools of varying sizes spread throughout, offering plenty of options for leisure and swimming. The facilities are well-maintained. The hotel's back exit provides direct walking access to Karon Beach, making it incredibly convenient for enjoying the sea and sand. This resort is perfect for both family trips and couples' getaways. Overall, the experience was a perfect 10, and I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Phuket!"

"Honestly, I have no idea how this place got so many good reviews. I booked a 6-day stay based on them, and on the very first night, the noise level hit 60 decibels – it was impossible to sleep. The reviews said there would be Chinese-speaking staff, but in reality, communication was impossible, and even translation apps weren't accurate. The front desk eventually moved me to a different room, but it was just as bad. The next morning, I contacted Trip.com and the hotel to request a refund for the remaining 5 nights. The front desk agreed at the time, but after I checked out, Trip.com told me the hotel wouldn't process the refund. It wasn't until I threatened to call the police that Trip.com said they'd only refund 4 nights, deducting one night's fee. I really feel ripped off. Seriously, folks, don't fall for this trap. I have decibel meter readings and audio/video recordings if anyone wants to see them."

Breakfast was decent, quite simple, with good fruit, but the juices were not freshly squeezed, which was a bit disappointing. Cons: The gym equipment was limited, and the hotel is quite far from the beach and town. Overall, it's good value for money, nothing exceptional but left a positive impression. It's not over-the-top excellent though. This hotel is suitable for those looking for a quiet retreat nestled on a hillside or for people who plan to go sightseeing far away during the day. Tourists who prefer convenience to living areas or want to spend time at the beach should consider other options."

We just tried our luck, but to our surprise, when we returned to the room that day, we actually saw it! My child was overjoyed and couldn't bear to undo it. Although it's just a small detail, it really shows that the hotel staff genuinely cares about every little wish of their guests. This thoughtfulness is more memorable than luxurious facilities.
