GGuest UserI just want to express how amazing my experience at SSAW Boutique was! From check-in to check-out, everything was seamless. The man at the front desk also helped me order food even though it was late at night and found me a restaurant that was open, I really appreciated that. Highly suggest staying here, the views from the rooms are also amazing.

DDjay1231I specifically chose this hotel for my trip, and my experience after checking in was absolutely fantastic, earning it a heartfelt five-star rating. Penny's reception was superb! She even prepared a birthday card, room decorations, and a cake.
The hotel's location is excellent, with convenient access to transportation in all directions, making it exceptionally easy for sightseeing, shopping, dining, or commuting for business. Upon entering the lobby, you're greeted by an elegant ambiance; the overall decor is grand yet tasteful, and the public areas are consistently clean and tidy, making a great first impression.
The front desk staff are professional and enthusiastic. Both check-in and check-out processes were efficient and quick, with no unnecessary waiting. When asking for directions or seeking assistance, everyone was patient and meticulous in their replies, treating guests with humility and politeness, showcasing their high service standards in every detail. The guest rooms are spacious with excellent natural light and ventilation, and the soundproofing is very effective, providing a quiet retreat despite being in a busy area. Room hygiene was impeccable; tabletops, floors, and bathroom corners were all spotless, with no hidden dirty spots.
The bedding is soft and comfortable, and the mattress has just the right firmness. After a day of travel, lying down quickly helps you relax, leading to excellent sleep quality. The room is fully equipped with various facilities; appliances and bathroom amenities are well-maintained and provide an excellent user experience. The hotel's overall atmosphere is warm and pleasant; from the hardware facilities to the soft services, you can feel the thoughtfulness in every detail. My entire stay was comfortable and worry-free, and every aspect was flawless. This excellent hotel has already been added to my top choices, and I will definitely stay here again on my next visit. I sincerely recommend it to all fellow travelers.

GGuest UserIn a word, the Banyan Tree hotel did not disappoint us. We stayed there for eight consecutive days, enjoying the high-quality service of a luxury hotel every single day. Although we had to wait about 20 minutes to check in, it was because my wife is sensitive to all hair, so they specially treated our room. By the time we opened the door to our room, our luggage was already there. The room design was impeccable, with huge windows offering a perfect view of the boats cruising on the Huangpu River and the Shanghai skyline.
Not only was the breakfast abundant, but it was also served for an exceptionally long time, until 12 PM. The restaurant staff were incredibly diligent and responsible. On one occasion, my wife left her sun hat near the hotel restaurant and thought it was lost outside, but they actually found it the next day. Furthermore, the lobby manager and concierge were very responsible; they proactively helped us track every package we ordered online and had delivered to the hotel. Our private butler was also very attentive, always resolving our issues quickly and perfectly, and proactively asking if we needed any further assistance. Many small details like these made us truly love this hotel.
Of course, only praising the hotel would seem a bit unrealistic. We feel that the area most in need of improvement is the room's hardware facilities. Some details in the room showed cracks in the flooring, peeling cement and broken bricks on the walls, and the drainage system wasn't perfect. We hope the hotel will undertake renovations and improvements when the opportunity arises. It's understandable for a hotel that's over ten years old; maintaining it to this extent is already quite an achievement.

NNingmengfengmiyouzinaiTraveling to Shanghai with my family for the May Day holiday, we chose to stay at the Yangtze Hotel, and instantly, we were transported back to the glamorous old Shanghai of yesteryear 🌃. This historic building, dating back to 1933, is incredibly charming. The colorful dome in the lobby and the vintage carved details everywhere exude an air of elegance. It boasts a prime location in the city center, with convenient subway access to all parts of the city and numerous shopping districts nearby. In the mornings, we enjoyed watching the city come alive, and in the evenings, we'd lean on the balcony, admiring the night view. It was so peaceful and relaxing, washing away all the fatigue from our travels – truly the most healing sanctuary for our May Day trip to Shanghai. The breakfast was varied and delicious, and there were more foreign guests than Chinese, making it feel like we were abroad.

GGuest UserExcellent, exceeded expectations! The front desk staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming. The room was surprisingly spacious for this area. The bathroom with a bathtub was incredibly comfortable, and the shower had great water pressure, making for a refreshing wash. You can grab bottled water from the dispenser by the elevator on each floor, which is perfect for an introvert like me. The subway station is literally just around the corner to the right – it takes a minute or two to get in, which is amazing; I've never stayed in a hotel so close to a subway before. Getting a ride-share is also very convenient; you can just set the pickup location to the hotel or the Agricultural Bank next door. The cleaning lady was also very polite; whenever she saw us leaving, she'd immediately ask if she could clean, so I didn't even need to tell the front desk. The building itself is very historic and full of character, and I took many photos because I loved the style. From my room, I could even see the 'Three-piece set' (referring to Shanghai's iconic skyscrapers) in the distance. All in all, this hotel offers incredible value for money, and I'll definitely consider staying here again if I have the chance.

While the facilities are indeed a bit dated, surprisingly, there wasn't the usual musty smell often found in older hotels, which was a plus. However, the pillows were just average; even the firm pillow I requested was still too soft for someone who prefers a firmer pillow.
Breakfast was pretty standard, with ordinary taste and variety. The service level also didn't quite match the hotel's overall positioning.
In summary, it's perfectly adequate for a business trip, offering good value for money and meeting basic needs. However, for a family trip, the experience would likely be quite average.

GGuest UserI had some errands to run on Changshou Road, so I booked this hotel to avoid rushing back home. It turned out to be a great choice.
**Location:** The hotel is incredibly well-situated. There are subway stations (I believe lines 7, 13, and 14) just a short walk in either direction. Plenty of restaurants, shops, and convenience stores are all around – it's a prime downtown location, making everything from dining to transportation super convenient.
**Cleanliness:** No complaints here. From what I could see, the windowsills, tables, and chairs were all spotless. There were no strange odors in the room or bathroom either.
**Service:** The staff were very proactive and attentive to all my requests. The hotel also has a concierge on the first floor that handles package deliveries and offers free luggage storage. For food deliveries, a robot brings them right to your room door. The front desk even gave me a free room upgrade and a complimentary breakfast, which was quite good (check out the last four photos) – a nice mix of Western and Chinese options.
Overall, a very satisfying stay. I'd definitely come back if I have the chance.

GGuest UserI’m so glad I chose the Mehood Elegant Hotel. It was the perfect location — close to everything, not too crowded, yet not too remote either. I traveled solo with my 14-month-old toddler, and he was absolutely spoiled by all the hotel staff. Everyone treated us with so much kindness and care.
Jerry checked us in and out and even gave me a cute fridge magnet. The breakfast was delicious with so many options to choose from, the rooms were cleaned daily, and bottled water was always replenished.
Xiao Jun also took great care of us, and Yinhe Juan felt like an auntie to us. We looked forward to seeing them every morning at breakfast. They all made my stay feel so warm and welcoming — truly like a home away from home.
I’m incredibly grateful for their hospitality, and if I ever find myself back in Shanghai again, I’ll definitely be booking Mehood.
