This is my third stay at the Hotel. It has so many positive aspects! The main one is staff. Lin and others was extremely helpful and professional during my stay. This wax a shorter stay and the great location allowed me to do everything I had to do and even had time for other activities. Breakfast is very good and with many options. My third time there, hope there will be s fourth one soon! 😁🫶

The hotel really lives up to its name, the room was very large and cozy, although the hotel was constructed much long ago, its facilities are modern yet reminiscent of the 1930's era. The service was outstanding, they offered to help transport luggage as well as offering us a small tour of the hotel and guided us to our room. Overall, the hotel has everything you need with a populous street market beside, you couldn't possibly need more.

Amazing location right on Nanjing pedestrian street. Shopping malls and eateries all within walking distance.
Staff are friendly and respectful.
We asked for a quiet room and it was sorted out very quickly and we were even able to check in a little earlier. A special thank you to the lovely gentleman Alex at front desk who is professional, helpful and is an absolute star ⭐️
Our room on level 5 though having no view was nice and quiet and as described online. The walls are quite thin so you can sometimes hear people next door/upstairs etc… but not too much to ruin the stay.
Breakfast was ok. Lots of Chinese and western options so even a fussy eater will find something to eat.
Keep in mind if you are being dropped off/picked up by a taxi, it will be done on the street as there is no off road spot at the front of the hotel.
Only one lift to enter the hotel which can be a little crowded. Lobby is on level 4.

Location was good, service was good. Just to mention their centralised air-condition system, every traveller has their own comfortable temperate to feel relax, crowne plaza always kept it at 25 degree in the summer and made it stuffy to sleep well at night. Despite they had a wall-mounted adjustable temperate controller, it was not working. The last time we stayed was during the winter and they kept the temperature at 25 degree and kept the windows shut, which forced us to change hotel at the 2nd night and forfeited the rest.
This would be the last time i booked with this hotel.

This hotel is by far the the best hotel you could book in Shanghai ! As a business traveller , I stay at Radisson each and every stay since the past 10 years . Of my recent stay in Feb and August 2025 , it has once again confirmed my expectations . A huge thank you to the hotel check in staff KARA , she arranged a late check out for me at 3 Pm because my flight was very late that afternoon . A huge thank you to Duch ( I think that’s how you spell his name ) , he was the chef at the breakfast , and he made sure my veg needs were well taken care of . A huge thanks to Ken from the concierge staff ! He actually went out of his way to order me something electronic from Taoba and he arranged the delivery to the hotel . Also went the extra mile to bubble wrap it and secure it for me to take as check in baggage . This hotel is beyond incredible ! Thanks guys for everything and I look forward to my next stay here . Keep up the good work everyone !
We stayed here for our last 3 days in Shanghai. Picked it as it was close to the attractions we wanted to see plus there was a free shuttle going to them and the airport ☺️ The staff were friendly and helpful. Laundry service which was great and a big selection for breakfast. Starbucks, HeyTea, mc D and other little chinese restaurants and supermarket like 2 mins walk away. We also had a very good facial near the hotel. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Was also my daughter’s birthday so they made the room all cute for her. Water and new slippers in the room every day..

we booked 2 Eton Rooms (includes bathtub) and it was very comfortable. our rooms were on the same level but far apart and even though the overall room size were the same, the sizes of bathroom & living area are different for both rooms. metro station was right outside the hotel and was easily accessible to most tourist attractions. concierge was really helpful and went the extra mile when helping us.

Convenient hotel location. There is a subway nearby that goes directly to the airport. You can save on transfers. The rooms in one tower are a bit outdated, while the other has new renovations. The difference is not very significant. Very good breakfast. There is a swimming pool with a depth of 1.2 meters. A swimming cap is mandatory. I was satisfied with everything except the concierge service: some packages from Taobao were accepted by the hotel representative but never reached my room. A week-long investigation into ”where are my goods” led to nothing. If you don't plan to order a lot during your trip, you can't find a better option in this area. I decided for myself that next time I will stay with competitors. It's still important for me that delivered and accepted by the hotel orders don't go missing.
1. The hotel uniformly sets the central air conditioning temperature in the name of environmental protection, but as customers, we cannot understand it. We checked in on January 28. It was so hot that we couldn't sleep. We called the hotel front desk in the middle of the night to send an ice-cooling machine. The 26 degrees shown in the picture was the result of blowing all night. The sound was also very loud. I couldn't stand it and complained to the manager on duty and changed a room on the shady side.
2. As a five-star standard hotel, the New Year is not a reason to lower the service standards. After calling to urge water delivery for 40 minutes, no one delivered it.
3. The phone emphasized that the child was sleeping. I called them on my personal mobile phone, but they still called my landline in the middle of the night to wake up the child.
In summary, I hope your hotel can live up to the star rating standards and pay attention to details! Truly put customers first!

GGuest UserThe hotel room had a very good view and a large tub. Breakfast was good with champagne served. More importantly, the service by Jennie, Deslin and Flora was warm and friendly and made the stay a pleasant one.
DdjimanderssonOverall I had a decent experience at this hotel, but the service was lacking, which is a shame since the property is very nice. When you check into a 5 star hotel, there are certain expectations and unfortunately this hotel did not meet them.
Upon arrival there is usually a doorman, helping you with your luggage, opening doors and showing you to the reception. There were none when I arrived. That's fine, not really an issue.
However after I dragged my luggage to the reception the staff ignored me for a solid minute while I was standing right in front of them. Not exactly a five star welcome. Of course the room wasn't ready so I had to wait 15-20 minutes to get my key.
The room was nice and clean with a great view, but had a bit of a strange layout where the sink was in the hallway and the shower in the corner so there's no real place to change clothes unless you close the curtains.
It was raining a lot during my stay but the staff were kind enough to lend me a broken umbrella. Better than nothing I guess. That might actually have been her personal umbrella so I appreciate the gesture nonetheless.
During my stay I had a strange feeling of not really being welcome, which I've never had at a hotel in China before.
Upon checkout the staff tried to pressure me multiple times to give a five star review and include certain names in the review which I did not appreciate. That needs to be earned.
If this hotel improves its service it would be 5 star no doubt, but until then it's not really worth the money.
RRuby Sum YuLove the swimming pool - a very good size and good amount of shaded sunlight at the atrium. The free self-service laundry system is a God-send, especially since our family has been traveling around China for weeks. The super helpful staff helped us deal with cab app issues often encountered. Very happy with this hotel.

BBrookeThis is opulent and decadent. There is a special events room, restaurant, pool, spa and sauna, and best for me was the bathtub (and shower) in the room. Because of the tub, I didn't even go to the pool. I had room service, and they didn't speak English, but came to my room to take my order in person. I had a burger, fries and Caesar salad and a beer. It was very good. I enjoyed breakfast in the morning, it was expansive and amazing, plus juices and coffee. I was able to try so many things. There were choices if you wanted Continental, but Chinese things as well.
I liked it and had an amazing night's sleep.
I only have pictures of the tub and my breakfast. I would stay again. Also, I went off in the Didi and returned and it was easy to come and go.
GGuest UserMy first stay at a Regent hotel, an IHG property, turned out to be a wonderful surprise! We had booked a Club Twin room but were complimentary upgraded to a one-bedroom suite for two nights. The suite was incredibly spacious, you could practically play hide-and-seek in it! The minibar was also exceptionally well-stocked; in addition to snacks and beverages, they even included a complimentary bottle of red wine and sparkling wine – a truly delightful and unexpected bonus!
Our guest relations specialist, Doris, with her sweet voice, called us a day before our arrival to confirm and had already prepared children's amenities for us. She also gave us a warm welcome as soon as we arrived at the hotel.
Guests staying in Club rooms have access to an exclusive Executive Lounge, where we enjoyed both breakfast and afternoon tea. It was never crowded, offering a peaceful experience.
The swimming pool boasted incredible, unobstructed views, directly overlooking the Oriental Pearl TV Tower.
Overall, we had a superb experience, and I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Lujiazui!
DDenFirst time in China, I didn't know what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised at the standard of this hotel.
The metropolo doesn't try to be anything other that a good hotel, it's not positioning itself in particular category or targeting a particular audience, it just wants to do the best it can.
The location was great, the staff were efficient, the rooms were clean and the food was good. What I liked most about this hotel was the sense of history, this is not a 20th century new build, but a very old building from the 1800s modernised in the 1930s and they have done a great job at keeping up with technology without losing any character.
If there had been a bar or lounge area to sit on an evening, I probably would have given it 5 stars.
If I return to Shanghai, which I hope to do, I would have no hesitation in returning to the metropolo.
EEdmund TengConvenient & Comfortable, But Air Conditioning Issues
This hotel has a fantastic location right above Line 8 Dashijie Metro Station, making it extremely easy to explore Shanghai. Car hailing services can pick up and drop off directly in front, which is very convenient.
The beds were comfortable and the shower had strong water pressure, a big plus. The breakfast was decent, though the variety didn’t change much during our stay. The staff were helpful, and a few spoke English, which was great for communication.
A standout feature was the bidet in the toilet, something rare to find in China and much appreciated!
However, the air conditioning wasn’t working during our 3 night stay due to the hotel’s old system requiring maintenance. We were given a table fan, which wasn’t ideal, especially in warmer weather. The hotel did offer us the option to cancel our stay, but we decided to stay because of the many other positives.
Overall, this is a good hotel with great amenities and service, but the AC issue was a significant downside. If that gets fixed, it would be a much smoother experience.

MMARITEThe best transport are taxi, bcs nearest metro station 20 min by foot. Very big and bright room.
Big pool for swiming.
Good choise on breakfest. Realy kind staff. Helpful. After this I came to Kempinski Downtown and must say that next time I will choose your great hotel. You are much better.
JJoyMoonOne of the best hotels that I’ve stayed at. Stayed there for 2D1N on March 6 2025 with my partner for our anniversary and booked the city view room with the balcony! The views were great and the Bellagio team gave us a special surprise in our room. The rooms were luxurious and the amenities provided were great.
I was checked in and served by a tall slim Chinese guy with glasses (sadly didn’t get his name) and his service was top-notch! We asked him about the promotional events going on at the hotel (Panda collaboration) and he helped us purchase the panda plush that we were looking for and also ensured that we were able to pay in cash (to avoid the 3% international card charge) and also helped us make reservations at the hotel’s restaurant and even gave us a free gift, the Bellagio lion plushie after showing interest in purchasing it!
We also went for the hotel breakfast; They have the buffet section (which is quite small) and the made-to-order menu. Although the buffet section is small, everything I ate was at the highest quality and the made-to-order food tasted amazing as well.
All in all, because of my 2 days here, I have became a lifelong fan of Bellagio Shanghai and will be staying here the next time I’m back in Shanghai! Kudos to Bellagio Shanghai!
AAMYI’m speechless. This hotel ‘wowed’ me beyond words. They offered to do complimentary laundry when the machines are full so that we don’t have to wait at the laundry room. Location is near metro stations. Staff is so hospitable. Addressed our comfort readily and offered tea each time they see us. And the ambience and temperature in the room is kept optimal even when we hit unpredictable weather. Will stay again.
