After spending three weeks traveling across China, I chose Joy Hotel for a well-deserved rest before heading home — and it was the right choice. The hotel is conveniently located very close to the airport, and the free shuttle service that runs every hour is a big plus. The hotel itself is very clean, and despite being in the middle of nowhere, it offers great value. My room was spacious, had everything I needed for my three-night stay, and toiletries were available at the front desk. The stay also included breakfast, which had a wide variety of tasty options. The only downside was the front desk service. The staff seemed inexperienced and at times distracted — possibly using personal phones or multitasking when guests needed help. It came across as a bit unprofessional, but something management could easily improve. Overall, aside from the front desk and remote location, this hotel is an excellent choice if you’re looking for a quiet, comfortable place to recharge before flying out.

This hotel met my friend and I expectations. From the moment we walked up to the lobby door, we were greeted by a lovely staff, Snoww. She was very helpful with any questions we had each day throughout our stay (one week) The front desk staff were welcoming too and they made our check in process very smooth,likewise the checkout and we got cute keyrings . All the staff members especially the night staff were helpful such as Joe. The meal was good. There was a variety of food each day. Every guest was served with a cup of refreshing drink in the lobby area. The room was clean and the housekeeping lady for our room was very nice. Also, the hotel provided laundry service which was great 👍. This is a family oriented hotel and that's great.

Great hotel. The location is very good. It's within a short walking distance of The Oriental Pearl Tower. The breakfast spread was great. It had a lot of options. The only complaint I have is there was a strong smell coming from the bathroom at night

We stayed at this hotel because of its proximity to Disneyland, which was very convenient for our trip. They picked up us from hotel to Disneyland and also back to hotel after Disneyland. The location is great, and the staff was attentive and helpful. However, the room we were initially assigned had a strong smell of cigarette smoke, which was a downside. Fortunately, when we reported the issue, the staff quickly offered us an alternative room, which we really appreciated. I would recommend that the hotel take extra care to prevent this from happening to other guests. Overall, we had a good experience, but the hotel could improve in ensuring rooms are always fresh and odor-free.

Good hotel. Nearby the disneyland. They also provide shuttle bus to go to disneyland, pudong airport, railway station, the bund. You just need to reserve 1 day in advance. Will come back for sure 😊

Convenient for Disney trip at the lower budget than the Shanghai Disney hotel. Both are within the same distance from the park and have complimentary shuttle every 5 mins during peak morning and evening and 15 mins in between. Hotel are clean and the service are great as expected from a Disney hotel. Woody and Jesse made frequent appearances throughout the day from check in lobby, garden children activities etc. the hotel offers kids activities throughout out the day should you are not taking the day in the Disneyland park itself. Interior of the public area of the hotel are nicely decorated with all Toy story details and decorations. Inside the room felt a little less but still have the vibe. The stay in the hotel automatically grants early daily entry pass up to one hour before the parks open on the day of stay and day of departure. Note that the theme park tickets are still required and need to be purchased separately. By staying in the hotel, it will allow you to shop within the park and have it sent directly to your hotel up until 4 pm. After that you will need to carry your shopping yourself back to the hotel. Shopping within the hotel is available through 1 store which is Lotso shop. They do have Disney exclusive merch from time to time which requires a lottery to purchase if you are only visiting the park. Which is a nice small bonus. Overall a great Disney accommodation and convenience if you are travelling with Kids and could afford within your budget

Perfect for staying to go Disneyland. Hotel is very much family and children orientated. Kids breakfast table, special food for kids, panda decorations, large indoor softplay and also kids activity each day. Free shuttle to train station, airports and also Disneyland. Overall a good stay, although the rooms could have been bigger and also the location around the hotel there is not much to do.

Definetly a clear 5 star recommendation from my side. Living many years in China and doing lots of business trips here. Around Pudong airport until now the best choice - 20 minutes till airport, one side residential area and very silent (Other side rooms also very quite). Very clean rooms (have seen three of them, very nice design, not these typical modern rooms, but more ”lifestyle” and ”journey inviting”, calming design and atmosphere. Breakfast I could not try, no time. Airport shuttle available, free once an hour. The team : extremely helpful, very friendly - I changed my room for personal reasons three times (😂) and have got a very nice upgrade finally.

No any English in the hotel, note it if it is important for you. Everything rest was good. Spent almost month here. Breakfast is absolutely not western. Has some options of soup and noodles, but is hard to understand how to use it and order it and what is it, haha. Breakfast time ends early, but is usual for China. Little gym, laundry - you can wash and dry your clothes. Nice location, different metro lines nearby. Little shopping mall with very good supermarket. Nice toilette😁

Great Cosy room 30 minutes from the airport. Free airport transfers with clear communication from host. Check in experience: easy Available amenities: tooth brush, comb, slippers, shower slides, disposable toilet seat cover. Highlights: bathroom air conditioner, projector, modern interior design, luxury car transfer, fast food delivery through ******* app. Improvement points: provide a bar fridge
