A Hidden Gem – Peaceful, Pet-Friendly, and Exceptionally Hospitable!
I cannot say enough wonderful things about my recent stay at this homestay! From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with genuine warmth and kindness. The hosts are some of the most thoughtful and caring people I’ve ever met — they truly went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed.
One thing that really stood out was how **pet-friendly** the place is. I brought my dog with me, and he was in absolute heaven! He had the freedom to roam around the property, enjoy the open space, and relax just as much as I did. It was such a relief to find a place that treats pets like family — it made the stay even more special.
The homestay itself is beautiful— every corner of the space is thoughtfully designed, cozy, and spotless. It has a peaceful charm that makes it feel like a true escape from the noise of everyday life. The surroundings are calm, quiet, and perfect for anyone looking to unwind and recharge. I spent hours just enjoying the tranquility.
Another big plus was the convenience. There are shops and small stores you can order from, so I was able to order anything I needed with ease. The hosts even helped me get some medication- which is something I’ll never forget. Their care and attentiveness made me feel safe and looked after.
Every interaction with the hosts was a delight — they were never intrusive, but always available if I needed help. It’s rare to find such a perfect balance of professionalism and heartfelt hospitality. They truly made me feel at home.
I’m already counting down the days until I can return. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway with incredible hosts, pet-friendly freedom, and all the comforts you could ask for, this homestay is an absolute dream. I can't wait to come back and soak in the peace, the kindness, and the beauty all over again. Highly, highly recommended! The breakfast was also very nice- they made us this delicious toasted sandwich.

Changxing Island Qingcaosha Reservoir was on a business trip. I didn’t expect that there are such good hotel standard rooms here. It is bigger than the five-star hotel in the city. There are some in the room. It is still in the park. In the morning, I visited such a big country park. It feels like you own a big park so beautiful, decisive love, collection! love.

The hotel boasts an excellent location with convenient transportation and pleasant surroundings. Given Shanghai's recent hot and humid (sauna-like) weather, having a washer-dryer available for daily laundry was a huge bonus and greatly enhanced our trip quality. They offer a good variety of room types, and I definitely recommend checking it out. There was a pleasant herbal scent, and we didn't encounter any mosquitoes. The staff were very friendly. For anyone still considering, I highly suggest booking a stay here! They provide free shuttle services to the airport and Disneyland, and parking is also complimentary. For more specific details, feel free to contact the hotel directly.

We stayed here at the beginning of our trip and it could not have been more perfect.
The B&B was well maintained and decorated, providing many photo moments. In fact, they are so guest-oriented that the turning down service included heating up the bed as well as the floor. As we travelled during cold weather, it gave us the perfect end to the night.
We also checked in and went to the restaurant on a boat, making it a complete Zhujajiao experience.
The staff were all contactable via wechat to attend to our needs or provide advice. They were also very friendly, making tea for us and sat down for a chat.
My wife and I were very well fed not just through the complimentary afternoon tea and the breakfast, but also the snacks that were placed in our room.
The 1-time transfer to or from a nearby location also helped us alleviate any stress related to transport as they were taken care of by the staff.

⭐️ 5/5 – A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Shanghai!
Riverdale Residence Xintiandi is an absolute delight. It’s the perfect blend of convenience and tranquility. Its location is unbeatable: just a short walk to major attractions like Xintiandi, Huaihai Road, and the French Concession, yet tucked away from noisy boulevards, making it feel like a peaceful retreat.
The executive studio was spacious, modern, and impeccably clean! I loved the well-equipped kitchenette (great for light meals) and the in-room washing machine, which made longer stays effortless. The AC was a lifesaver in Shanghai’s heat, and I appreciated the strict no-smoking policy (no lingering smells anywhere!🤩).
What truly stood out was the thoughtful layout, smart storage, a comfortable workspace, and a nice bathroom. Housekeeping was consistent and thorough, and the staff were helpful without being intrusive.
Final verdict? I’d happily stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a central yet serene home base in Shanghai. 10/10!
The location is excellent, and the garden villa setting is quite charming. There's a quaint cafe and a villa-style restaurant right at the entrance, giving off a very vintage vibe. It seemed like a popular spot for young women to take photos.
However, perhaps due to it being an older property, our room had a distinct musty smell. The room was small; if you're traveling with a lot of luggage, I'd highly recommend booking a larger room type, as there wasn't even enough space to properly open our suitcases. The bedside table and walls showed visible signs of mold, which was extremely uncomfortable. I strongly suggest the management addresses this issue.
Regarding service: We arrived past 9 PM and couldn't find parking. We called the front desk, and a staff member came out. But after watching us park, she simply vanished, leaving us to search for the reception for quite some time. We were expecting complimentary welcome drinks or restaurant vouchers, but neither was offered nor even mentioned. They didn't even tell us when or where breakfast was served 🥲😂. Breakfast was also very basic. While it was enough to fill us up, it wasn't anything special.
Amazing little hotel. They provided toiletries and things to use for bath. Staffs are helpful and friendly and there are cute cats at the reception. Location is also very good as you can get to the metro within 5-10 minutes walk depending on your speed. There are convenience store nearby and you are around the French Concession with many nice street to walk to. Recommend strolling at Tianzifang in the mornings.

Had a fantastic stay at The Langham Shanghai Xintiandi. The location is unbeatable—steps from trendy shops, great dining, and historic Shikumen architecture. Service was warm and professional, and the room was both elegant and comfortable. The breakfast spread was excellent, with a mix of Western and Chinese options. Highly recommended for anyone looking for style and convenience in Shanghai.

LLiwenI extended my stay in Modena by Fraser at Wujiaochang because I had a good stay here. This is my second review of this place, which should be read with my first review. My first review (one of the first three reviews of this place) forgot to mention about the breakfast, room price, and to provide photos. These will be covered by my second review now. First, about the breakfast. This place is so new that the breakfast comes in a set meal bento box delivered directly to your room by a robot at a time of your preference. The breakfast dining area was not yet open for meals during my stay so I was unable to try or review it. But Leo from the hotel says that the dining area should open sometime next week. In any case, the seat meal breakfast was filling and decent as an interim breakfast solution. Second, the room price. I paid around CNY 512 per night, breakfast being complimentary. I find this to be value for money. I enjoyed the facilities of the hotel/service apartment, especially the in-room washer and dryer, which is very convenient. Many other hotels do not have a washer and dryer in the room itself, but this place does. Third, the photos. These will show that the room provides a good amount of storage space for clothes, shoes, and more. The mirror in the bathroom has its own light and defrosting function: I found it useful! A modern table lamp is provided on the desk for work. That lamp has a wireless charging pad. Other wired charging power outlets are placed around the room, including USB-C and USB-A outlets.
GGuest UserLate in the night, we arrived at the airport. As we were unfamiliar with WeChat, the staff organized everything with us through the app. Moreover the gave us for free a late checkout and even a taxi to go back to the airport the next day ! This hotel is clean, quiet, and the staff is amazing. I would recommend !

Good
GGuest UserFirstly, I have to say that the service here provided by the staff was fantastic. I can dare say that it’s better than 5-star hotels—they are very present, attentive, patient, enthusiastic and helpful.
As someone who barely speaks mandarin and travelling to China for the first time, they really took the effort and time to connect and made sure that we were not lost or confused. For the first time in a long time, I feel like the service staff genuinely care about their guests.
The place itself is comfortable—hot water to shower, aircon that works well to fight the heat, daily housekeeping and basic amenities provided. Location is perfect if you are planning to visit Disneyland. To the main city, it’s not that close, but bearable and affordable by taxi. Convenient stores and supermarket is about half an hour by walk. But you can always order in food and drinks on their local app (you can ask the staff to help you if you’re unsure)… there are plenty of options. Some vegetarian too.
And if you are ever feeling lonely, there are two residential cats in the main lobby area to keep you company. 🙂
Overall, I would recommend this place to people who are planning to visit Shanghai Disneyland. It’s a gem! Cute architecture too.
GGuest UserStaying here is wonderful, room is clean and comfortable. Breakfast is good too. Best of all, upon checked out, received notice that my flight has been delayed by 2 1/2 hrs, and the front desk staff Ayla is so friendly (smiling all time while communicating) and helpful that she allows me to stay back to the room to rest for the period. She also assists to arrange for the next free shuttle to the airport. Really appreciate her kind assistance. Thank you Ayla 😘.
WWang heThis B&B experience was absolutely fantastic and I can't praise it enough!
The location is impeccable, and the surrounding area is full of vibrant life. Just a short walk away, you can experience the unique charm of Shanghai's Old Street. It's also very close to AIPM, making shopping convenient. What surprised me most was the parking issue: there are two large parking lots nearby, so driving is a breeze, though parking is at your own expense.
The surrounding shops are a treasure trove, and I always find something new to discover, never getting tired of them. There are also a few small bars, and whether it's a relaxed day or a lively nightlife, the atmosphere is rich and lively, making for a truly enjoyable experience.
The room was incredibly cozy, and the pleasant aroma of incense immediately greeted me upon entering, instantly making me feel relaxed and refreshed. I've already recommended this B&B to my friends, and thank you to the host for your hospitality.

@@carolstoffellaFor this last time on the first day too much noise from upstairs flat, from 4 am until I have to go down and complain at 7am. After that, it was better. I prefer to stay in this flat, when i go to shanghai and I will spend more days, and I want a kitchen at least. It's near the supermarket but not very near to the metro, you have to walk a bit (15 -20 minutes at least ). The shampoo- hair conditioner it was not good, the packages were dirty.

GGuest UserThe hotel has a good environment, lots of greenery, the rooms are clean and tidy with no smell, and the boss is also very enthusiastic. My little baby likes the style of the room very much. There are also little rabbits 🐰 Big Gray Goose 🦢 outside the courtyard. All in all, it’s not bad! Satisfied, satisfied!
FFERNANDOIs a really great place, very clean, new, beautiful, next to a river with magnificent views... And there is also a good enough heating system for the winter months. We have been there on February and it kept our rooms warm.
There is a wechat QR on the main door to contact the manager once you arrive there (that was our major concern before arriving) that really works smooth.
It was a very pleasant stay there!
