I cannot say enough wonderful things about my recent stay at this homestay! From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with genuine warmth and kindness. The hosts are some of the most thoughtful and caring people I’ve ever met — they truly went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed.
One thing that really stood out was how **pet-friendly** the place is. I brought my dog with me, and he was in absolute heaven! He had the freedom to roam around the property, enjoy the open space, and relax just as much as I did. It was such a relief to find a place that treats pets like family — it made the stay even more special.
The homestay itself is beautiful— every corner of the space is thoughtfully designed, cozy, and spotless. It has a peaceful charm that makes it feel like a true escape from the noise of everyday life. The surroundings are calm, quiet, and perfect for anyone looking to unwind and recharge. I spent hours just enjoying the tranquility.
Another big plus was the convenience. There are shops and small stores you can order from, so I was able to order anything I needed with ease. The hosts even helped me get some medication- which is something I’ll never forget. Their care and attentiveness made me feel safe and looked after.
Every interaction with the hosts was a delight — they were never intrusive, but always available if I needed help. It’s rare to find such a perfect balance of professionalism and heartfelt hospitality. They truly made me feel at home.
I’m already counting down the days until I can return. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway with incredible hosts, pet-friendly freedom, and all the comforts you could ask for, this homestay is an absolute dream. I can't wait to come back and soak in the peace, the kindness, and the beauty all over again. Highly, highly recommended! The breakfast was also very nice- they made us this delicious toasted sandwich.

AAnonymous UserI took my dad to Qingpu for a vacation. Finding a two-bedroom, one-living-room suite within the ancient town proved difficult, but then I came across this duplex online with two bedrooms located upstairs, which suited us perfectly, so we booked it. We parked our car in the underground parking lot of Zhujiajiao Vegetable Market. Upon arrival, we contacted their customer service, and she promptly came to guide us to the accommodation. The room was impeccably clean. The two bedrooms are actually connecting rooms, separated by a door that can be opened or closed. There are two bathrooms downstairs, along with a tatami area. The two beds upstairs are huge – it felt like they could comfortably accommodate three families! Both floors have air conditioning, and it handled the 40-degree Celsius heat perfectly, keeping us cool without any issues. Despite being right by the river, we were pleasantly surprised that there were absolutely no mosquitoes in the room, which was a huge plus! The customer service staff was also incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to help with anything we needed. We'll definitely book this place again when the weather cools down.

The villa was well-equipped, featuring a full kitchen with a frying pan, cooking pot, steaming pot, and all necessary utensils. There were 3.5 bathrooms stocked with complimentary toiletries, including house shoes, toothbrushes, toothpaste, towels, rugs, soap, shampoo, and hand wash. The fully functioning fridge, complete with a refrigerator, semi-freezer, and freezer, was ready for use.

Overall Experience

GGuest UserI extended my stay in Modena by Fraser at Wujiaochang because I had a good stay here. This is my second review of this place, which should be read with my first review. My first review (one of the first three reviews of this place) forgot to mention about the breakfast, room price, and to provide photos. These will be covered by my second review now. First, about the breakfast. This place is so new that the breakfast comes in a set meal bento box delivered directly to your room by a robot at a time of your preference. The breakfast dining area was not yet open for meals during my stay so I was unable to try or review it. But Leo from the hotel says that the dining area should open sometime next week. In any case, the seat meal breakfast was filling and decent as an interim breakfast solution. Second, the room price. I paid around CNY 512 per night, breakfast being complimentary. I find this to be value for money. I enjoyed the facilities of the hotel/service apartment, especially the in-room washer and dryer, which is very convenient. Many other hotels do not have a washer and dryer in the room itself, but this place does. Third, the photos. These will show that the room provides a good amount of storage space for clothes, shoes, and more. The mirror in the bathroom has its own light and defrosting function: I found it useful! A modern table lamp is provided on the desk for work. That lamp has a wireless charging pad. Other wired charging power outlets are placed around the room, including USB-C and USB-A outlets.

AAlexThe Hotel have a great location. Not only they have complimentary Airport pickups to/from Pudong Airport, they also provide the same service to Disneyland Shanghai. Their transfer timing is on the spot.
The Hotel room that we choose is exactly the same as what we have chosen from Trip.com. Large room, cold aircon, bath towels is super clean, good hot shower and the water pressure is excellent.
The Hotel staff service is super excellent, very attentive, warm, helpful and efficient. Information provided by them is like you asking goggle, very well informative.
Our many thanks to Ms Molly Zhu, the Front Desk Reception, who she is very helpful and gives us super attention. Their breakfast is also good with lots of varieties.
Overall the experience we have is as good as gold, it might even beat some of the Luxury Hotel”s that I stayed before.
We did the right choice for choosing Lu’an Garden Hotel Shanghai
Keep up the standard Lu’an and I will come back if I ever be there again.
So whoever wants to go to Disneyland Shanghai, must stay with Lu’an Garden Hotel Shanghai, you won’t be disappointed with it.

GGuest UserI really really like this place. It's clean and the owner is kind. They even connect you with a car from the airport to your accommodation, which is a bit pricey, but since there were a lot of people traveling together, it was really comfortable.
Some of my friends said the beds were uncomfortable, but since it's Sabasa, it's okay.

MM2a7hnul0****Upon arrival, the front desk attendant was busy, but she noticed my luggage and still managed a smile and a greeting, saying, 'Just a moment, please, I'll be right with you.' During check-in, she unexpectedly offered, 'Rooms aren't tight today, so I've upgraded you to a larger room with a small bay window. See if that works for you.' It was a pleasant, unannounced upgrade, and the room was indeed more spacious than what I had originally booked.
Stepping into the room, I checked it out. The bed sheets were perfectly made and felt comfortable to the touch. The bathroom tiles were sparkling clean, there were no water stains around the sink, and even the corners were spotless. There was no strange odor, which made for a very comfortable stay.
I had arranged for an airport transfer. In the morning, the driver arrived a few minutes earlier than scheduled. Seeing me emerge, he promptly offered to help with my luggage, and we made good time, experiencing no delays on the way.
When catching a flight, the last thing you want is any hassle. This hotel, from the airport transfer to the front desk service and the room itself, left absolutely nothing to worry about. I'll definitely stay here again next time I have an early morning flight, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to any friends who need to catch a flight!

Positive : Location is great, walkable to many sights, metro, restaurants. Aldi supermarket over the road.
Good value.
Shower AND bath. Comfortable bed. Washing machine.
Major positive: They take animals. We brought our dog and no problem and no extra cost.
Grass area in front of hotel entrance for dogs to pee on.
Negatives : finding the place is a little tricky, but luckily when I rang the person who answered spoke English. You need to ask the guard to let you in the small gate at the address. Hotel is round the back.
No one on reception. Called again, then waited for some one to arrive. She took our Wechat, so after that communication was easy.
Dont expect a fully equipped kitchen. A few bowls, 1 knife, 1 spoon and 2 glasses. Had to ask for 2 teacups (tiny!) . Ok since we ate out all the time, but wish we'd bought big tea mugs from home!
We appreciated having a fridge.
I'd definitely stay again if I needed a dog friendly hotel downtown. Or even if I needed a hotel apartment for a while...if price was right.... and I'd bring a few kitchen items from home!! 🤣
