Hotels in Kata Beach, Phuket

We put a lot of thought into choosing our hotel and were so glad we picked the Sawasdee in the end. As soon as you step in from the street, you enter a completely different world. The grounds are beautifully designed – so much greenery and water. Especially in the dark, when everything is wonderfully lit up – just stunning. We had a room with pool access, which was very pleasant. The rooms were spacious and everything was clean. The housekeeping staff were truly working from morning until evening. Breakfast was also excellent. There was something for everyone. You could have scrambled eggs or an omelet freshly prepared. A huge thank you to the lady who made our mornings so delightful every day. There was also fruit and warm Thai dishes, French toast, pancakes – I can't even list everything. Our special thanks also go to the bellboys. They always had a kind word for us, joked around, and gave us tips. We can't praise the entire staff enough. It was truly a unique experience and hopefully not our last. One more thing comes to mind. We had to leave very early due to our schedule and received a wonderful packed lunch. Thank you for that too. Keep up the great work. You can tell you all enjoy your jobs.

Everything was great! For a very reasonable price, you get a spacious room with a large bed! The cleaning service is excellent every day! A special thank you! It's about a 15-minute walk to Kata Beach. Not super convenient, but decent. Good swimming pool. I can't say anything about breakfast as I booked 10 nights without it. However, you can pay for it on the spot for 300 baht. Nearby there's a large 24-hour 7-Eleven, KFC, and Kavach coffee shop with breakfast options.

Went with a friend. This is so well located. There’s not much to do in the surroundings so having a pool and nice seats to watch the sunset was epic. The sand is nice and fine and the breach is quiet. Lots of tourists though. Room was spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable. There were enough outlets. People were very nice, warm and tried to make the best of our holiday and keep us comfortable. I would stay here again. Breakfast was the best I’ve had in 2 months travelling. Very complete and lots of options. There’s a bar stand just by the stairs that lead to the beach. Best Piña colada I’ve ever had.

The hotel service was excellent, and all the staff were incredibly warm and polite! The hotel environment was very comfortable and clean, exactly as I expected – no misleading photos here! The breakfast offered a great variety and was delicious too! A huge thank you to the hotel for arranging a birthday surprise for me, complete with a birthday cake 🎂 and a card, and they even decorated the bed thoughtfully! 🥰🥳🎊 This trip was truly unforgettable! 👍🏿👏🏿😁

Facilities: The facilities are quite comprehensive. Even though it's located on a cliff, there are shuttle services to the main road below, available on-demand, which is pretty convenient. All the in-room essentials are there, but the pool light was broken, and the outdoor ambient lights were also out. The strange thing is that the room next door had working lights, but ours didn't, and no one fixed them during our two-night stay. Cleanliness: The cleanliness was decent. The water quality was better than expected; I heard that Phuket's water quality wasn't great, so I brought a shower filter, but the filter core barely changed color. Everything else was fine. Environment: I booked this place specifically for the beachfront pool environment, so I was quite satisfied with that. Service: The check-in, check-out, and in-stay services were all pretty good. I was actually planning on giving a five-star review before checking out. However, after checking out, they asked where we were going and offered to call a car for us. Initially, we thought the location might be hard to find, so having them arrange a car, paid or not, would be convenient, and we readily agreed. After they called the car, we were told it would cost 800 THB. We felt it was a bit high, but we thought maybe they called a more comfortable vehicle, so we paid without much thought. But when we got outside, it was just a small, old car. After being dropped off at the next hotel, we realized it wasn't that far away, and a quick check showed that a self-booked taxi would only cost 260 THB. This is ridiculous! Are they taking Chinese tourists for a ride?! I was so happy with my stay, but this left a terrible taste in my mouth. One-star review, one-star review, one-star review!

I stayed for four days. The first day was fine, but on the third night when I returned, the entire room reeked of paint, and I had no idea why. On the fourth morning, I was woken up at 10 AM by renovations next door, which I had not been informed about. Both rooms to my left and right were under renovation, and the strong paint fumes and loud construction noise severely impacted my health and rest. I am very dissatisfied with this stay. The front desk did not accept my complaint. The view was good, and the hotel was conveniently located, but it's quite old and dated, and the hygiene was mediocre; my feet were black after walking barefoot in the room.

Overall, my stay at the Bamby Resort in Kata Beach, Phuket, was quite good. The hotel's style is reminiscent of a Middle Eastern desert, which is unique. The staff were exceptionally warm and friendly, always greeting guests with a smile, which made for a very pleasant experience. The hotel's location is also excellent; it's surrounded by shops, and Patong Beach is just a 5-minute walk away, with various international restaurants and 7-Eleven stores along the way. Cleanliness was generally fine. The only minor downsides were that the soundproofing wasn't great, and I wish the breakfast selection had been a bit more diverse. Despite that, it was a good experience overall!

The hotel is relatively quiet, which is a big plus! It was better than expected. Although climbing the stairs was tiring, the staff helped with our luggage. The pool is beautiful, and I even practiced snorkeling there on the first day, haha. The location is excellent, with a great massage parlor nearby that I visited daily and shared in my photos. There's also a famous restaurant downstairs with a super delicious mango shake—all within a 5-minute walk. Plus, there's a shooting range and Kata Beach. My friend said Karon Beach was dirty, so I chose to stay near Kata Beach this time, and the sand was indeed very fine. The location is truly superb. Several front desk staff speak Chinese, making communication very smooth. The most noteworthy thing is that Skyline Adventure is nearby. We booked through Trip.com, and they picked us up last, which saved us a lot of unnecessary detours and waiting for other members. Nice!

This was by far the most satisfying hotel I stayed at in Phuket. Satisfied point 1: It was the only hotel that allowed an early check-in; I was able to get into my room by noon. Satisfied point 2: It's right on Karon Beach – super convenient, beautiful, comfortable, and blissful. Satisfied point 3: There's an amazing Thai restaurant right outside the hotel; I'm planning on making it my regular spot. Love, love, love it!
