Luxury Hotels in Phuket

"First and foremost, the service was truly exceptional. Whether it was the buggy drivers or the restaurant staff, everyone was incredibly polite. A special shout-out to our butler, Meiling, whose excellent Chinese made communication effortless and who patiently assisted us with all our requests throughout our stay. The Thai restaurant also served delicious food. However, there were a few downsides. For a room costing tens of thousands a night, the daily fruit offerings were quite underwhelming; two dragon fruits on the first and third days, and three oranges on the second day felt a bit ungenerous. Also, the minibar items were all chargeable. The turndown sweets were also very basic, just a few small cookies, which was quite disappointing. Another major point that didn't align with the price point was the hotel's spa. While the environment was decent, the techniques and procedures were no different from a regular massage outside, which was quite a letdown. The airport transfer service on our last day was a pleasant surprise; after arranging it with the hotel, we were met by a dedicated hotel staff member at the airport who guided us through fast-track customs, which was fantastic."

"It feels like a rather tasteless hotel. Compared to the above, the price is not much more cost-effective, and compared to the below, the service is not as good as that of Surin and Racha in terms of details. I communicated by email in advance to confirm that there would be anniversary decorations, but there were none. The staff at the front desk who checked in did not even want to do the most basic hotel introduction. After collecting the deposit and sending it to the door of the room, they just left. The sloppiness was shocking. The swimming pool in the room is not heated. When the weather is around 30 degrees, the water is quite cold. It is basically a decoration. The Thai restaurant costs more than 700 yuan per person for a casual meal, and the taste and appearance are quite bland😅 The breakfast menu is OK, the all-day restaurant has good products, and the beach staff are very enthusiastic. Thanks to the guys at the pool bar and the water sports center, so that the overall stay experience is not too bad."

"service is very good. sometimes they come to tidy up twice a day. only 3 restaurants and a pool bar. we enjoyed the varieties in breakfast buffet every morning. wind direction of either aircon or fan in the suite blowed directly on our heads. it made me uncomfortable during sleep. we had to switch to the lowest wind speed during the night."

"Absolutely amazing! First off, the restaurant's food is excellent, and the breakfast is perfect for Chinese tastes. The best part is that you can order with pictures. And the scenery? No need to even mention it, it's absolutely stunning, as you can see from the photos. The sunset is epic, and the blue hour is simply divine. "Pros: 1. The hotel's interior is very ecological, like a rainforest, with a strong Thai ambiance. You'll see various small animals everywhere, and you can even feed fish during breakfast (note: this is on the north side; the south side is a more modern apartment block with a pool but no beach view, and it's NOT the independent Anantara Vacation Club, which is what they call the 'timeshare presentation' rooms). 2. The staff are very enthusiastic; they greet you warmly whenever you pass by, and cars will stop to let you cross. 3. The accompanying pool facilities are excellent and located by the sea. Someone will bring you towels and iced water as soon as you arrive. The private pools in the rooms use circulating saltwater. 4. Breakfast offers a wide variety of fruits, though other options are fewer. You can also order specialty noodles, various toasts, coffee, and Thai milk tea. It's quite geared towards a Western palate, and the dining environment is pleasant, overall good. 5. The Kids' Club staff are great, and children over four can be left in their care. Cons: 1. The surrounding area lacks amenities. Mai Khao Beach itself is quite remote, and the hotel's activities are just okay, so it can get a bit boring. The beach quality is average and not suitable for swimming. 2. The downside of the hotel's great ecological environment is the presence of various ants, bugs, and geckos. Be warned, they can climb onto the bed. 3. The water quality is poor. Even bottled water from 7-Eleven still had impurities after boiling, and I wouldn't dare drink the water provided by the hotel. 4. The hotel facilities are a bit old, including hair dryers, which are still the old-fashioned type. 5. I really can't understand why the minibar is chargeable. 6. Thailand's overall living standards (food, clothing, housing, transportation) are really far behind China. Several highly-rated restaurants nearby weren't very good; the roasted chicken at the pizza place was cold. The few places behind the Marriott are cheaper but the taste is mediocre. It feels like all the restaurants in the vicinity are much of a muchness. The most popular one, Kindee, is decent, but a round-trip taxi costs 100 baht, and I even found steel wool in my dish, sigh. In the end, we had to eat at the hotel's restaurant, where the food and service were good, but it cost over 300 baht per person, which isn't good value for money. It's baffling that several high-end hotels nearby don't even have a decent fruit stall or supermarket. The supermarket under Turtle Village feels like it's from the 80s. It really doesn't feel like the government wants to develop this area; it's worse than the neighborhood centers in our residential communities back home. The prices in peak season are a bit exorbitant; a two or three-day stay during the off-season for pure relaxation is enough. Finally, a complaint about Trip.com: Their attitude was great, but their problem-solving ability was poor. When issues arose, they kept saying they couldn't resolve them, but I managed to fix them myself by contacting the hotel directly. Subsequent compensation was only received after filing a complaint. However, I commend the customer service for their responsiveness. I hope Trip.com can improve their communication skills in the future."

"This is a great resort. Wonderful villas which comes with your own butler. Access to a wonderful beach that is not too busy. Suggest renting a car if you stay here, as it is on the south side of the Phuket island, but only 20 mins or so from Phuket Town. Highly recommended."

"Our stay at Cassia Phuket was absolutely amazing! We stayed in the Loft Room, and the view of the lagoon and the beach from our room was simply breathtaking — it felt like waking up in a postcard every morning. The hotel’s location is perfect, with direct access to both the lagoon and the beach. One of our favorite parts was the complimentary ferry that takes guests across the lagoon to the beach every 20 minutes — such a fun and convenient touch that made getting around effortless. The atmosphere at Cassia is vibrant and welcoming, and the staff were always friendly, professional, and genuinely happy to help. The modern design of the rooms, the lively community spaces, and the stunning natural surroundings made our stay unforgettable not to forget mentioning pet friendly hotel. Cassia Phuket truly captures the best of relaxation, style, and island charm!"

"We really enjoyed our stay and we will come back The service is very good, staff speak good English and are well trained  Cleaning team was amazing. Views are incredible, pools very nice. I woukd say one thing to management team to improve, staff called us a little too much and it became anoying when we tried to rest. After check in, 2 times to inform us about checkout time, and to ask us what time we want the boat while we just booked it at the check in counter. The day of departure, Check out was 11.30 but at 10.40 I called the reception to ask for buggy. No buggy came, but the cleaning team ring at the bell twice in 10 min between 10.55 and 11.05 am, and received one call from reception. The overall experience was good and we will cont back again as we live in Phuket, but if they harass us again like this I won’t go back."

"First off, the location is a bit out of the way, and there's no shuttle service to Jungceylon. The 'sea view' room offered a very limited view of the sea, nothing like the immersive sea views I've experienced at Ocean Park in Hong Kong. The breakfast was a definite highlight though – delicious and with a wide variety of options. As for the room amenities, they were on par with a typical 3-star hotel in China. Given we stayed at Banyan Tree for the first three nights, the difference was stark; I'd honestly recommend spending the extra money to stay at Banyan Tree instead. Lastly, the air conditioning was incredibly noisy, and the soundproofing was terrible – I could hear every single word our Russian neighbors were saying. I won't be staying here again."
