The 4-bed female dorm offers plenty of personal space with room for luggage, and you can lock your suitcase under the bed if you bring a padlock. The bathroom is also spacious and very clean, fully stocked with toiletries. The only downside is that the female dorm is on the fourth floor and there's no elevator in the building, which makes it quite inconvenient if you have heavy luggage."

"Walking from the car rental return at the airport to the hotel was quite convenient, but the walk itself was really dirty, full of trash. The hotel itself was pretty standard, with a typical American feel. Getting into the city was easy using the airport bus. However, the shuttle bus *to* the airport costs 2.5 pounds per person and makes several stops, so a short distance takes over 10 minutes."

I stayed at another Holiday Inn Express in Edinburgh city center in early July where the staff were very accommodating. If you're not going to be pet-friendly, then don't advertise it as such! Plus, it was more expensive than the other, more convenient Holiday Inn Express."

"During the National Day holiday, I stayed at the W Edinburgh. Two nights cost 6,500 without breakfast. As expected, being Chinese, I was assigned a room in the annex (James Craig), opposite The Ribbon, on the second floor in the furthest corner. Trip.com was basically useless and unresponsive. I only blame myself for booking through Trip.com in April when it offered free cancellation. I should have booked directly with Marriott as a high-tier member once my plans were firm, as I would have at least received room upgrade benefits. Regarding service, a chubby white man at the front desk during check-in said everything was full and only the presidential suite was available for a paid upgrade, which was laughable 😂. Another handsome white man was much better, so keep an eye out for him. The housekeeping service was thorough, and the room was quite clean and comfortable. If you stay at the W, you must visit the 12th-floor Deck for the views. I can only say that the 4,000-yuan room rate delivered on convenience and views."

We were very happy with our room which was peaceful even with the window open at night. The spacious bathroom had a super shower. All of the staff we encountered were welcoming, friendly and efficient. Breakfast is excellent, some great options and high quality and all prepared to order. We had drinks each night at the rooftop bar. Would highly recommend for a stay in Edinburgh."
