Great location for our trip to celebrate Hogmanay. You can’t get a better location for the festivities for the Princess street party. Traveling with a baby, they already had the cot in the room before we had arrived which was great. The staff were super kind and attentive at concierge and reception. Breakfast had a good selection if you a hot Scottish breakfast. Only downside was the parking which was a 5 min drive away ( we weren’t packing light!) Overall, solid experience

The Novotel Edinburgh offers convenience with its proximity to a train station, making it easily accessible for travelers. However, the hotel room was a bit small to accommodate four luggages comfortably.
Overall, my stay was satisfactory. The hotel's location near a Tesco store was convenient for any immediate needs or shopping. While the room size posed a minor challenge, the hotel provided a decent experience for my stay in Edinburgh.
If you're looking for a convenient location with nearby amenities like Tesco, the Novotel Edinburgh could be a suitable option for your stay.

It is situated in a prime location. Everything is easily accessible. The room is cleaned. However, the entrance of the hotel is a bit obscure. It is quite annoying especially when it is raining and you have a few pieces of luggage to carry.
Not full set of amenities is provided.
Other than that, I think it is a good choice for sightseeing around Edinburgh.

It is fully accessible via lifts, so you do not have to worry about lugging the luggage through any stairs. It is opposite the train station yet the rooms are soundproof and quiet. The flight was late late at night from London to Edinburgh, and it was more than one o'clock in the morning. The reception was on duty and it was very nice! The room was directly above the entrance, the bedding was very comfortable, the breakfast was great the next day, but the space was limited. You have to queue up and have time to enjoy it slowly!

Check in at the front desk. Since we arrived in the morning, we thought we couldn't check in yet. Unexpectedly, we were given a room, which was pretty good. However, what happened later affected our good reviews. The room card I was given couldn't be opened. I went back to the front desk to set it up, and when I went back to the room, the door was open, but it turned out that it was not the room type I booked. I booked a room with a king-size bed and a sofa bed, but I was given a room with only a king-size bed. So I went back to the front desk... The front desk said that the system of Ctrip and their hotel was different, so they couldn't be sure that I booked a room with a sofa bed. I showed them the confirmation letter again and asked them to find the manager for me. Let us use the current room first. So we went out to play and planned to come back later. At night, there was still no room, and the manager asked me to show the confirmation letter again. Then he said that the sanitation was still being cleaned, and it was expected to be more than an hour before I could get the room, and he would call the current room. As a result, after more than an hour, I was finally given the room I wanted. Hahaha, it was quite a hassle.

GGuest UserApartment was very spacious and clean. Our bed was okay although the pillows could be better. We had a great time preparing our dinners here because many cooking tools are provided. There are two washing tablets for our three-night stay so we did have to get our own at a Sainsbury’s nearby since we did have more clothes to wash. The washer worked fine but the dryer somehow didn’t. We tried to use it three times but the clothes were still wet in the end. We had to hang dry our clothes in the closet after spinning them at a higher RPM, which was fine because they got all dry by the next morning. There’s also an app for the hotel that you can download where you can request services from the front desk, which I thought was a nice touch. Staff was generally friendly and the location of the apartment was close to several restaurants and a grocery store, and it’s not too far from the train station. I’d definitely consider staying here if I ever visit Edinburgh again.

DDorjiThe front desk staff was very welcoming after our late checking. He took us and showed us the room all by himself. Very nice guy. And yeh we got room upgraded.
The room was spacious, clean, very luxurious, bed was super good, pillow good, and the Aarn brand for shampoo and body lotion was amazing. Also the boss speaker inside the room was fantastic.
On the other hand the room were very dark. The fan in the rest room was loud. There was no room phone surprisingly.
And in the late night it gets bit loud. Can hear people talking outside.
Other than that we had a very homely feeling.
The room was the in the other side of the building, so there was no view.

CCookieFDWe stayed at Wilde just before New Year and we were not disappointed. The location is fantastic. Just behind the castle and around the corner from Grassmarket. The staff were fantastic, from the minute we arrived till the minute we checked out. Nothing is an issue to them. The apartment was both modern and well equipped. I would definitely return, but would get a room on the 1st floor. As the lower rooms you can hear people above moving furniture etc. Not the company's fault, just inconsiderate guests that you can't choose!

GGuest UserThe room was so cozy and lovely🥰 was amazed by how kitchen was fully equipped! Really appreciated that they even provided us with welcome champagne
💛
Just only that, it would have been perfect if there were a ventilator in the bathroom. It was difficult to use for 3 days because the moisture and smell were not removed. Also, the room was never cleaned even though we stayed for 3 nights in a row.
.
Lastly, we were expecting to see gym in the hotel according to the website/app, but somehow gym was not there. Even though it is a mistake made from the website, the hotel still should make proper apologies to customer for misleading. The lady working from night~midnight(maybe overnight) didn’t make any apologies but kept saying it’s just not there as if we had made a mistake.

GGuest UserMy recent hotel stay was a bit of a mixed experience. While the hotel was clean and well-equipped, there were several issues that detracted from my overall satisfaction.
Before arriving, I had communicated with the hotel via email and was told that they could be reached via WhatsApp. However, upon arrival, I was unable to get a response from the hotel on WhatsApp. Additionally, there was no reception area, and check-in had to be done over the phone, which required multiple long-distance phone calls and extra fees.
The day before check-in, I received a last-minute email from the hotel requesting a deposit, but they did not provide any information on how to make the payment. Not all of the staff were willing to provide assistance, but the last person I spoke to was patient and helpful, which allowed me to check in smoothly.
One major safety concern was that there was a step outside the bathroom, but the floor was not marked, making it easy to trip and fall. Another hazard was the transparent coffee table in the living room, which caused several stumbling incidents that could have led to injuries.
Overall, while the hotel was clean and well-maintained, the issues with communication, extra fees, and safety hazards detracted from my experience.
AacacacWe enjoyed our stay fully at this apartment hotel! They’ve got most of necessary kitchen stuffs so it was very convenient to cook at home. One of the big thing was they have a washing machine which was fantastic as we stayed here for several days so we definitely needed it.
When we arrived a receptionist made a mistake to give us a wrong room without any bathtub although we made a request at the time of reservation. However when we informed the receptionist she willing changed the room for us which was very kind. We therefore enjoyed everyday bath as we needed to take so it was quite helpful.
For cleanness it was over all clean but the floor was a hit dirty…and one of the drawers of one bed room had grains in it so it wa a bit weird…
But other than that we had a wonderful stay and when we come back to Edinburgh we will defuse the same hotel again!
At the time of check-out the receptionist kindly helped us to stay 1h longer which was very helpful, he was very kind and friendly.
Location was great very close to bus stops and tram as well as train station of Haymarket. We didn’t need to go to Edinburgh main station!
Wish there was a small convenient store nearby just to get something simple for drinks/food.
Thank you for the lovely stay!
MMahmoud Al ErakyVery nice and clean hotel. Spacious room with very high ceiling which was very nice. Lovely view from outside the (massive) window in the room. Lovely staff. Good breakfast. Room was well equipped with an iron, kettle, hair dryer, and a fan. The only thing is that there is no air con but for now the fan did its job which made the room temp good. Overall very good hotel, would come back.
GGuest UserLovely apartments. They’re spacious clean and have everything that you could need. Stylish too and although we didn’t eat there it was good to know that it was an option. The location was really good with restaurants & shops handy. Very short walk to popular tourist area & close to Waverley Station. Staff couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful

Yyu big canThe hotel room is very big, very clean, and the facilities are very complete. The bathroom is the best. The location of the hotel is okay, but there is only a two-in-one washing machine, and the drying part cannot be used. There is only laundry, but there are drying racks. It's more economical for four people to live.
