Edinburgh Hotels with Wifi

"It was my first time staying in a university dorm as a tourist. It reminded me of my student days. The reception staff who handled our check-in were very friendly and most helpful. At the reception, we learnt about the self-service laundry, breakfast, convenient shop, bar and lounge etc. The room was of a decent size. In fact larger than some hotels. The ensuite toilet and shower were small but adequate. WiFi was strong enough. Good that there was a lift. Tourists like us do carry quite heavy baggage.. Although the room faces the open space where students gathered, the noise did not pose any issue at all. It did not go on late into the night. There were a few lounges. A pantry. A games room. Breakfast was really very good. The restaurant was huge. The buffet was well organised. Food was freshly cooked. Eggs, sausages, haggis, cereals, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, all kinds of bread, etc. The atmosphere was incredible. Just like any campus full of youthful energy. The campus was beautiful just at the foot of Arthur's Seat. And bus transport to the city centre is readily available. It is actually not far to walk."

"The location is perfect! It's just a few minutes' walk from the Waverley Station Princes Street exit, right next to a shopping mall, and surrounded by plenty of restaurants – super convenient. The room size is typical for the UK, not huge, but you can open two medium-sized suitcases. The bathroom is quite spacious, and the shower has good water pressure. However, whether it's due to hard water or something else, it takes ages to rinse off soap, and there was a persistent body odor smell in the bathroom that just wouldn't go away, which was really annoying. The room comes with a microwave and an induction cooktop, and you can even see Calton Hill from the window. The mattress is on the softer side, so those with back issues should probably reconsider. The bedding felt a bit old and the cleanliness was just average. I brought my own, but it still felt a bit off-putting. There's a coffee machine at the front desk, and free croissants before 10 AM. The coffee beans aren't great, so it's more for when you're too lazy to go out, but there are tons of coffee shops and breakfast spots right downstairs, which is really handy. The front desk also sells snacks, drinks, and emergency toiletries. My last hotel was further from the station, so the close proximity and easy-to-find location of this one are big pluses. Overall, I'd give it a 7 or 8 out of 10 for value for money. You might be more satisfied if you lower your expectations a bit."

"The hotel is not close to the airport, not walkable. Our flight got delayed just after midnight, Uber cost £16 from Edinburgh airport to the hotel. Otherwise the hotel is clean, quiet and adequate."

"A little bit expensive than the expectations. The location was ok, bus and tram stops included. The cleanliness can be improved. The reception was a bit busy when arrived since it was a student accommodation, so the efficiency of check-in cannot be guaranteed. All in all it’s average"

"Booked a room for 4 people and 3 people. The room and bathroom are oversized and the facilities are relatively new. It is the most comfortable hotel in the UK, but it is a little far from the Royal Mile and it takes ten minutes to walk. Because it has been back and forth a few times, it feels convenient to live in the Royal Mile, but So big rooms are really rare, so I think the price is good."

"Room was quite small but very thoughtfully laid out. Bed was extremely comfortable and the amenities were good quality - Molton Brown toiletries, GHD hairdryer and Nespresso coffee machine. The complimentary drink at 5pm was a nice touch. The only downside was the lack of breakfast in the hotel itself. However, we had a good discounted breakfast at The Huxley and a 50% discount at Castle Terrace car park."

"The staff is very nice, polite and helpful. The room was clean, beds were super comfortable. The street was quite noisy at night, but we still had a very good sleep. The kitchen was right next to our room and it felt like sauna there, however it had everything needed for cooking. Luggage storage is available at £5 per bag (can be paid by card). No deposit needed on checkin. If we ever visit Edinburgh in summer again, we will definitely stay at Destiny campus."

"it was a great experience. The ambiance was very nice 24 seven there was a receptionist and also the cleanliness was good and food is also good. I would highly recommend someone who is visiting Edinburgh to stay there because it’s closer to the town. It’s very affordable and and one of the best places to be around very close to the Dean village as well."

"It's a 15-minute walk from the nearest Liverpool Street Station. While it's a bit of a stroll, the location isn't bad considering Liverpool Street is so close by. The room was quite spacious, with plenty of room for two, but most of the outlets weren't working, which made charging electronics a hassle. Also, there was a bit of dust, and I couldn't stop sneezing."

"The hotel room and bathroom were indeed too small; there wasn't even enough space to open a suitcase, so it had to be stored under the bed. The view outside the room was decent. The main advantage is the hotel's excellent location, right opposite Haymarket. You can walk almost anywhere, which is incredibly convenient, and there are bus stops right outside. The hotel breakfast was just so-so, with limited variety and options. It was a typical English breakfast, not bad. The reception service was mediocre, especially the male front desk staff who gave me the wrong room number twice, even though I showed him the room number written down. He seemed unbothered and unwilling to help."
