"The hotel's location is superb, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. It's just a 5-minute walk to Calton Hill and very close to Princes Street, all easily accessible on foot. There's a large shopping mall right next door, so sightseeing and dining are no problem. In the mornings, there are croissants at the front desk, and a coffee machine offering hot chocolate is available all day. This room type offers a view of the top of Calton Hill (though the view from the room itself is just okay; the view *from* the hill is much better). The room is also quite spacious."

"I had a corner room on the 5th floor with great views of Edinburgh castle and the hills in the distance. Complimentary drinks and snacks in reception between 5 and 6 pm. A handwritten welcome back card on arrival. I had been there the week before. Very comfy bed and nicely equipped kitchenette with nespresso machine and capsules."

The view from the window overlooks Edinburgh's famous 'watch street' – truly impeccable. If you're coming to Edinburgh, you can't go wrong with this place; it's a guaranteed hit! **Service:** Every staff member was incredibly friendly and attentive, from check-in to storing my luggage after check-out. A major highlight is the hotel's highly automated management system. Each room has an iPad where you can view specific hotel services and contact staff. The front desk also has these iPads, making everything incredibly convenient. **A small suggestion:** The breakfast restaurant the hotel partners with was a bit average. Food choices were limited, and guests from the hotel were always seated in less desirable spots. I'd recommend bringing in more breakfast providers to offer more variety and competition."
