I visited the W for the first time on Friday evening. From the moment we stepped through the door the experience was exquisite. We didn’t have a reservation however sitting at the bar in the upstairs lounge was wonderful. We met the lovely Sumith who educated us on everything wine related. Edson our bartender made some delicious cocktails. The experience was perfection from start to finish, I cannot wait to return!! To finish off our wonderful evening we were given access to the 12th floor, just WOW. I’ve not seen views like these in Edinburgh!!

Everything is good, spacious and clean, but the location is a bit far from the city. It costs 6.5 pounds per person per day to take the yellow bus to Prince Street. Since I brought my children with me, I needed to buy breakfast separately, which cost 12 pounds per meal. It is far worse than Chinese breakfast, with few varieties and unpalatable, which is consistent with the characteristics of British food being unpalatable

First of all, it's a hotel that's very close to the train station and there's also a nice shopping mall nearby. Secondly, the bed in the hotel is soft and comfortable, and the reception staff is also very friendly! The fly in the ointment is that the air conditioner in the room can not adjust the temperature quickly, and it is a little cold to sleep at night. The variety of breakfast is also a little monotonous, but the value for money is still very good

We were soles tired right off the plane after figuring out that I had no license and could not get my rental car :( I took it well pouted and walked away. We took the Tram to St Andrew's Square. We needed to be in The border lands in Peebles. We stopped at the Edinburgh Grand. The men at the desk couldn't have been nicer! They called a taxi service not once but twice! They held our bags and said that their was a bar upstairs we could wait at with a wonderful and sweet cocktail waitress and relax. They came and got us when he arrived. Carried our bags to the taxi for us. We will tell this story many times in the future and we will thing of them all fondly.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a fantastic experience. The hotel was just as described and lived up to my expectations. The location was perfect for exploring the city, with many attractions and restaurants within walking distance. What really made my stay stand out was the staff - they were super friendly, helpful and always responded quickly to any inquiries I had. Additionally, the hotel's app made everything incredibly easy, from asking questions to checking out. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere that made me feel right at home. I highly recommend Cheval Old Town to anyone visiting Edinburgh and I look forward to staying here again in the future.”

Virgin Edinburgh is a gorgeous hotel with spacious rooms. It’s located super close to the Royal Mile, the castle, and lots of other in-city sights. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We highly recommend the hotel! The only issue we had was that there is no parking at the hotel and it is recommended to park 15 minutes away. I wish there was the option of valet parking for those of us unfamiliar with driving in the city.

After exploring Edinburgh's sights, unwind in our heated indoor pool, whirlpool, sauna or gym, all part of our contemporary leisure centre and free to guests.

GGuest User 2022.10.13
After staying in a number of hotels in Edinburgh, Novotel Edinburgh Park is definitely of highest quality in this price range. The location is perfect if you are working outside of the city but want to still experience the city centre at night. Edinburgh Park train station and tram stop are very close to the hotel with frequent services to neighbouring towns and Waverley station (city centre). The train is quickest to Waverley at only 9 mins and costs as little as £2.70 at super off peak times for a return ticket. The hotel rooms are spacious and clean. There are hundreds of channels on the 55” TVs. The beds are comfy and there is a temperature regulator fan (not air conditioning). The bathrooms are clean and well furnished. Executive rooms get some more toiletries than standard rooms. Some rooms have baths and some have stand-in showers. (Maybe you can note your preference when booking) Breakfast is definitely worth paying for. There’s a huge selection of food options, something for everyone. Hot food and continental style breakfast is offered and is a buffet style. The restaurant is large but can be very busy in the evenings. Car parking is offered at a member rate (Accor ALL account holders) of £6 per day. I would rate the hotel very highly, after staying here a number of times over the past few months and with more bookings in the not so distant future. I look forward to returning!

In all honesty we decided on the apartments because it was the cheapest available for a bank holiday weekend and seeing Harry Styles. It was great and no complaints and we were pleasantly surprised, it worked well having a bedroom then separate living area with sofa bed and mini kitchen for privacy & snorers lol. We initially thought it was the west end so bit far out from Murrayfield stadium/princes street but it really wasn’t that far at all and was a nice sunny day. Would 100% stay here again

We stayed as a family of 4 in the family room the night before my husbands 40th Birthday. There was a cake and decorations in the room on arrival and we had the most stunning view of the castle! We used the pool and then out for dinner in Edinburgh at night. We enjoyed the hotel breakfast the following morning. Overall we loved it and will hopefully make it a yearly tradition.

The good: -Great location -Suite I stayed in was large, clean & quiet -Comfortable bed/bedding The less good: -The lobby staff are a mixture of friendly/standoff-ish; they lack the polish of an “actual” 5-star hotel -Rooms at this price point need proper minibars/snacks –full stop -While the hotel was renovated several years back, my suite needed some maintenance TLC Travelers coming here expecting a 5-star hotel (as marketed) are going to be disappointed. That is, this isn’t remotely a 5-star hotel. No one in their right mind would put this in the same class as a Mandarin, Aman, etc. But, it’s a very solid 4-star property with a lot going for it. So, Bonvoy, why not just advertise it accurately for what it is?

GGuest UserAmazing stay at Market Street Hotel! The room was superbly located just opposite the Edinburgh train station. It is fully accessible via lifts, so you do not have to worry about lugging the luggage through any stairs. It is opposite the train station yet the rooms are soundproof and quiet. The room was clean and beautifully furbished. The concierge Miles was very helpful and friendly. The hotel is also conveniently-located near to the Royal Mile. I highly recommend this hotel to all travelers.

Location, location, location. This beautiful flat is located on the Royal Mile with Edinburgh Castle on one end of the street and Holyrood Palace on the other end. The train station is very walkable and since this is a fully functional flat we were able to get groceries easily at several grocery store options (all within walking distance). We had over a 3 week stay and lived there washer/dryer combo (not like what we have at home but we figured it out and it worked great for us). We had a couple of items that we needed help with on arrival, called them and they had someone out within the hour. The one downside is the construction outside - but they don’t start until 0800 and finished by 1800 at the latest. We were also in flat 1 and that is the luggage storage area - people can be noisy when they drop their bags. We want to return again in 2025. Highly recommend - great place at a great price. Thank you for making our stay so special.

What a gem of a hotel and restaurant! We stayed here the night before we left Scotland. We lucked up with this one! We stayed in room 15. It had a lovely view of the Firth of Fourth and the bridges. When we arrived, we went to the restaurant for a late lunch. There were not any tables available with a water view. After ordering our drinks, a table opened with a water view. The hostess asked us if we wanted to move to the table with a view of the water. It was a wonderful meal and awesome views. South Queensferry is a lovely town. Our room was very comfortable. Highly recommend it. It was an easy 20 minute ride to the airport.

GGuest UserI stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in late September 2022. I really enjoyed my stay. The hotel is located in a good area in the new town and very close to a tram stop for the tram to the airport. The hotel is within walking distance to many tourist sites. My room was very clean, smelled good, comfortable and quiet. The beds were comfortable. The staff was very professional, helpful and friendly. The breakfast food was good however, I did not like the food offered at dinner. I ate dinner at the hotel for 3 nights and was not pleased with the quality of the food. After the 3rd night, I ate at other restaurants in town and had better meals, The lobby has a very fun, inviting and comfortable environment. I did have good drinks at the restaurant and enjoyed spending time in the lobby. I would stay at this hotel again and recommend the Ibis Styles Edinburgh St. Andrew Square Hotel.

CCHENGNANThis hotel is so good, why is the rating so low? The hotel has more than 200 years of history, although there is no elevator, but the equipment in the room is very advanced, the toiletries are all L'Occitane, especially mentioning that the bedside table has a radio that has been placed in the light classic is very soothing, lying down without having to watch TV like this The music is very comfortable. Breakfast bread milk fruit is self-help, other such as bacon sausage eggs can be cooked, especially Amway fried poached eggs super delicious. In the UK, if you go out to eat breakfast or lunch, you will have more than 100 pieces. The price is very high, and the price will be high. I will stay here next time~

GGuest UserSo as any hotel stay is half bed and half breakfast I could not score this stay any higher than an average as I only enjoyed a part of it. On the positive side, the room is of a good size and the bed is comfortable. There is tea/instant coffee and kettle available. The room is on the warm side, and as the window is tied to prevent you opening too much, it closes during the night, however you can get a reasonable night sleep. My only suggestion for the housekeeping staff is to ensure the shower gel is topped up - since the bottle is tacked to the wall. The breakfast on the other hand is awful. The quality of the cooked breakfast ingredients is very low. The coffee was disgusting. The yoghurts all fruit (high in sugar) no natural yoghurt on offer. So my recommendation would be to book the room without breakfast if you can, and head out for breakfast. I was certainly on the hunt for decent coffee straight after breakfast.

GGuest UserI stayed two nights during Christmas and the second night was full. I could only choose another branch, so the advantages and disadvantages of both stores can be analyzed in detail. 1.Rose street branch Advantages, the rooms are small and fine, there are only two on the first floor, and the service feels more in place. The waiter is even willing to help you bring luggage into the room, and the room has fewer beds and is comfortable! The heating can be adjusted to 30 degrees! !! The kitchen is small so you can chat with shop assistants and tourists from all over the world while cooking! Disadvantages, the bathroom is shared by men and women, but because there are not many people, I have not encountered the opposite sex in the bathroom, and the bathroom is very private! Two doors plus a shower curtain! Also, the location is close to bars and other places, the sound insulation effect is average, but with earplugs, the environment outside the hotel is relatively ordinary, it is not easy to find at first. The pictures look at other people's uploads, basically the same Parliament Square branch, the advantages, the location is so unimaginable, the sights across the street! Hahaha! The bathroom is divided into men and women, the bathroom is large, the kitchen is large, all kinds of kitchen utensils, microwave ovens, seasonings are complete! !! Of course, Rose Street is quite complete, and the waiters are very enthusiastic. When I was cooking, they were cooking, and they chatted with me enthusiastically, and invited me to eat some desserts they made! Disadvantages, the room is slightly more expensive than rose street, and there are a lot of beds. The boring atmosphere of a little popular just after entering, makes me want to go back to rose street! Later I got used to it! The heating can only be adjusted to 23 degrees, which is still a bit cold, but you can apply to add a quilt! Please see the bathroom pictures I uploaded, not bad!

GGuest UserHotel is actually much nicer and brighter than the photos on the website suggest. Reception was pretty much none existent and the shower was no more than a trickle. On the plus side, good value for money and great location yo walk into the city centre. The option of breakfast would have been good although the excellent Wee Cafe just up the road did an excellent eggs benidict which more than made up for it. I will definitely stay again mainly due to the location
