"The room was clean and the facilities were fairly complete, though a bit small. It would be perfectly fine as student accommodation. However, as a commercial rental, the price is quite steep; at around 1200 including tax, the value for money isn't great. Because it's dormitory-style with area doors (each area having five or six rooms) and shared kitchen doors, the sound insulation is poor, so it can get quite noisy. There's often a chorus of loud doors opening and closing, as well as hairdryer noise. The train tracks are right across the street, but it wasn't noisy at night, perhaps due to infrequent service."

"The bed was comfortable, not too soft and not too firm. However, the double bed was quite small; it would be fine for two average-sized people, but not for two larger individuals. Gulls calling in the morning could easily wake up light sleepers, but the earplugs provided by the hotel solved that issue. The room was a bit warm, and the window only opened a crack. Borrowing a fan from the front desk helped a lot. The kitchen was very clean and well-equipped with a few knives, a plate or two, and three or four mugs."
