Amazing
GGuest UserThe hotel isn't far from Edinburgh Castle, about 5 bus stops away or an 8-pound Uber ride. The environment is really good. It seems to be a hotel associated with an exchange center at the University of Edinburgh, consisting of several three or four-story buildings. My room was in an older building next door, which had premium rooms. The room size was moderate, very clean and tidy, and the shower was comparable to a star-rated hotel in China. Facilities were complete, including a coffee machine. What's particularly worth recommending is the breakfast; it's à la carte! You can choose from classic Scottish breakfast haggis sets, vegetarian haggis sets, and more. It's genuinely excellent; I almost wanted to extend my stay for a couple more days just to try everything, haha.

GGuest UserWe always try and book this hotel the day before we fly away on holidays. It's so convenient walking the 10mins to the airport. We hav6a relaxing evening with something to eat and drink before heading up to our comfortable room, as we are always up early for our early flight. Nice to have a quick breakfast as well. Although the hot breakfast doesn't start until 6am.

LleonconnieThe room was incredibly spacious, with a separate living room. I'd definitely want to stay here long-term if I visit Scotland again. The room was very quiet, and the living room sofa converts into a bed. All the appliances were high-end brands like Dyson and Smeg. The only downside was the lack of on-site parking. There's an NCP car park under the bridge a bit further down, costing around £25 per night. The hotel is very close to the castle, about a 5-minute walk, and about 10 minutes from the city center. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, which is very convenient.

SSMarieI really enjoyed my four days. Wonderful hotel the team was very friendly and helpful at all times of the day. Great location easy to get to from the Station/airport. Good trams service along Princes Street. Plenty of buses along South Bridge which is a short walk. Enjoyed the spa facilities especially the swimming pool. The lounge near the reception area is a little chilly but a nice spot to relax with a warm drink. Overall a very pleasant stay. Would recommend. Rooms Good size room, fantastic shower and products. Bed was very comfortable. It was a tad cold so I requested a blanket which was very snug. Bonus having a fridge and complimentary water nice touch. Tea/coffee try was good but would be great to have some hot chocolate. Nearby activities Holyrood Palace and gardens on your doorstep along with great views of Arthur Seat. Five minutes walk to the Royal Mile. Food and drinks There is a restaurant and bar in the hotel. I found the food a bit hit and miss to be honest. Breakfast is great with a great choice in food for all palettes. Warm friendly service.

GGuest UserVery close to the airport, so you can easily walk to the airport convenience store for snacks, drinks, and fruit, and the prices are reasonable. All guests receive a welcome cocktail, which is a must-try – it's delicious! I'll definitely stay here again next time!

MMargaritaB88An extremely comfortable and pleasant room to stay. What I liked most: a big bed, carpeting, long couch, many sockets, tea set, many towels and hygiene supplies, thermostat, big windows. However, there was one thing I didn't really get - the shower unit is not supposed to be closed completely. It's like half open and that is why some water can splash to the bathroom floor. The location is pretty good, it is not in the very centre but you can easily walk there in about 15 minutes. The breakfast was excellent, it had traditional notes but still homelike, very delicious, and the selection was vast. And after all, the price was acceptable, so I can strongly recommend the hotel:)

Aamyun.myunAs a location, I think this is a very nice hotel to stay in; however, for a 5-star hotel, I expected a much higher level of service.  We were disappointed by several issues during our stay. First, housekeeping knocked on our door around 8 a.m., waking us up to ask if we needed cleaning. We requested the service, but when we returned to our room around 3 p.m., it had not been cleaned. Even after we went out to dinner and returned later that evening, the room was still not cleaned. Additionally, while my friend and I were resting in the room, the door had not been closed properly and was slightly open. A hotel staff then opened the door without knocking, which made us feel very uncomfortable. Another issue occurred when my friend ordered food via Deliveroo. The order was marked as delivered, but we could not find it. We asked the lobby ambassador for assistance, but she was not helpful at all. We eventually found the order ourselves, placed on the concierge desk. Overall, the service from the staff was very disappointing and felt cold and unwelcoming. While I would recommend the hotel for its location, the level of service was far below what I would expect from a 5-star hotel.

GGuest UserNo surprises, no disappointments. Compared to hotels back home, British hotels generally lack a dedicated service staff and don't offer much in terms of a 'stay experience'; disposable amenities are also absent. All I really look for is cleanliness, tidiness, and convenient transportation. I never have high expectations for breakfast either, as it's pretty much the same everywhere in British hotels.

HHejingshatongyouThe room was spotlessly clean, and the bed was super comfortable. There's a spacious car park right outside the hotel, making parking incredibly convenient. The hotel is located a 10-minute drive from Edinburgh's historic Old Town. It also features a bar where you can catch a game, enjoy a beer, and grab a meal – a really handy amenity. Breakfast was pretty standard, and the variety wasn't very extensive. The only minor downside was the price, which was a bit steep, but then again, accommodation in Edinburgh isn't cheap.

LLowryafThe room quality is on par with a 3-star hotel in China. The hotel staff were very friendly and provided excellent service, but the room layout was quite odd and winding. The bed wasn't very big either. It's super convenient if you want to visit Calton Hill, but I wouldn't recommend it if you're primarily interested in the city center, as it's about a 20-minute walk.
