Fantastic We stayed at the Universal Studios Grand Hotel as a family of five, including a young child, booking the Kung Fu Panda Suite and an additional queen room.
There is so much to love about this hotel! The location beside Universal Studios is unbeatable, the theming is fantastic, and both rooms were absolutely spotless. The views were beautiful, the beds incredibly comfortable, and despite being so close to the park, the hotel was wonderfully quiet. Room amenities were excellent, with plenty of complimentary bottled water. Room service was incredible, and all the staff we encountered were lovely.
Our biggest frustration was the limited food options outside park hours. We couldn't access CityWalk early in the morning until security opened, which effectively left us with only the hotel breakfast options. The buffet was quite expensive, particularly for a family, and the alternative was room service. The hotel café didn't open until 10am and closed at 6pm, meaning there was nowhere convenient to grab a quick snack or basic supplies. There also isn't much within walking distance unless you can access CityWalk.
These are relatively small frustrations compared to how wonderful the hotel itself was, but they are worth knowing before booking, particularly when travelling with children or visiting from overseas.
Overall, I'd rate our stay 4.8/5. We would absolutely stay again, but next time we'd be better prepared for the breakfast arrangements, understand how to order room service as international visitors, and plan ahead for snacks and essentials. When I visited Universal Studios Beijing this time, after doing my research and comparing options, I chose NUO Hotel, and it turns out I made the right choice.
Don't let the seemingly greater distance from Universal Studios Hotel deter you; it's actually just a five-minute walk across the street.
The room was twice the size, the slippers were incredibly comfortable, and they provided ten small bottles of water plus one large bottle daily... I was truly impressed.
I bought a package that included a two-day, one-night stay + double breakfast + 1.5-day park tickets + early park access. This was absolutely worth it. Buying the tickets separately would cost around a thousand yuan, and with early access, it would be about 1,500 yuan. Deducting the breakfast cost, the room itself was effectively only a little over a thousand yuan... and it was so comfortable that I even extended my stay for another day. The extended stay didn't come with complimentary tickets, though, and cost 2,700 yuan.
If I had to point out a flaw, it would be how difficult the toiletries were to squeeze out. As someone who works in the skincare and personal care industry, I truly believe such product design shouldn't be found in a five-star hotel... What's going on? Are they trying to prevent guests from using them?

Objectively speaking, as a hotel, Holly Warm Wharf is impeccable in terms of cleanliness, environment, service, convenience, and comfort for this price range. However, I'd like to discuss my subjective experience. Simply put, this is a dedicated, service-oriented hotel that combines the intimacy of a ”homestay” with the professionalism of a five-star hotel. If a day spent exploring the world after a busy week at work is the ultimate special forces-style fun, then returning to the hotel exhausted from the trip to the world of travel with two slices of freshly cut watermelon by the proprietress, drying your sweat and then throwing your clothes and pants directly into the hotel washing machine before taking them away, and collapsing on a chair on the terrace with two sips of ice-cold beer is the ultimate finale and highlight of your round-the-world trip. With a 2:00 PM check-out time, there's no need to feel rushed. After working off all the fatigue of the previous day in bed, there's plenty of time to get up and wash up.

There's a super loud, buzzing noise outside the window that comes and goes every so often, lasting from daytime until past midnight. The first night, I called the front desk to check it out, but by the time they arrived, the noise had stopped, so they couldn't figure out the cause. It started up again about half an hour later, but since it was past midnight, I felt bad calling them again. It's the same during the day. The only upside is that the windows are well soundproofed; closing them significantly reduces the noise, but then it feels stuffy. Also, despite being called a subway station hotel, it's actually quite a long walk from the subway, so you have to take a bus or a taxi. It's about a 200-meter walk from Exit A of Qunfang Station on Line 7, and you can even see the Universal Studios park from the window. The entire place felt very new. I was very satisfied with my stay at this Lavande Hotel. It's high-end and stylish, with a warm atmosphere and an excellent location. It's only a five to six-minute walk from Linhecun Station on Beijing Subway Line 1, and there's a private parking lot, which is very convenient for those traveling by car. The staff were very enthusiastic; they proactively told me about the free shuttle service to Universal Studios and even asked about my preferences for room orientation and floor when assigning my room, which was a very thoughtful touch.
