"We were given the smaller room amongst the newly refurbished selection ie no separate lounge area and only one sink in the bathroom instead of a his and hers. It’s a wonderful room nonetheless, full fledged minibar and fancy finishes but two things really annoyed me: 1. The shower is splendid but even though you close the door, the water spills out onto the whole bathroom floor nonetheless and this is a crucial design mistake 2. The LCD buttons are way too complicated, there’s no logic in how to turn what lights on and off, how to open the curtains in the morning and turn the heat down. Sometimes we don’t have to reinvent the wheel. But overall the hotel is a historical luxury on prime location."

"I'm thrilled with the hotel! My husband gave us a gift for our wedding anniversary – we stayed in the presidential suite at this hotel. I think it's called the Empire. It has a luxurious bathroom, two bedrooms, and even a sauna. The room has everything! From the smallest toiletries to a washing machine and even a prayer rug. This surprised me greatly, as I'd never seen anything like this in a room before and for a long time I couldn't figure out what it was for. The hotel is located in the heart of the capital's party scene and central attractions. The Kremlin is a 15-minute walk away. Petrovka Street is certainly enchanting during evening strolls; the surrounding area has a wonderful atmosphere. The hotel staff is a whole other story. They are very attentive, responsive, and always smiling. Whatever you ask, they help with such zeal, as if they were just waiting for our request. The hotel is apparently brand new; everything is very fresh and clean. Special thanks to the staff for the hearts with swans for our anniversary."
