EZ-Link Card

Getting around Singapore is easy with an EZ-Link Card. Instead of preparing cash or buying a ticket for every journey, you can simply tap your card when taking the MRT, LRT or public bus. The card can also be used for payments at many participating shops, restaurants and other merchants across Singapore.

❤️ Pro Tip: When planning your Singapore trip, consider booking flights to Singapore and Singapore hotels early, especially during weekends, school holidays and popular travel periods.

What Is an EZ-Link Card?

What Is an EZ-Link Card?

The EZ-Link Card is a rechargeable contactless stored-value card used mainly for public transport in Singapore. You add money to the card and the correct fare is deducted whenever you travel.

You can use an EZ-Link Card for Singapore’s MRT, LRT and public bus network. EZ-Link and SimplyGo EZ-Link cards are also accepted at many participating retail merchants across Singapore.

For travelers, the main advantage is convenience. You do not need to calculate the fare before every MRT or bus journey. Just make sure the card has enough value and use the same card when tapping in and out.

✈️ Pro Tip: If you are planning a Singapore trip soon, check flights to Singapore early so you have more choices for travel dates and flight times.

You can add more stored value to your EZ-Link Card when your balance starts running low.

Common top-up locations include:

  • SimplyGo Ticket Offices
  • Ticketing Service Centres
  • MRT ticketing machines
  • Self-service ticketing kiosks
  • Selected convenience stores

Supported ticketing kiosks may accept cash, local bank cards and selected foreign-issued payment cards.

Foreign-issued Mastercard, Visa and JCB cards may also be accepted for stored-value top-ups at supported machines. However, additional convenience fees may apply.

For most tourists, topping up at an MRT station is one of the easiest options.

Can Tourists Use the SimplyGo App?

Can Tourists Use the SimplyGo App?

The SimplyGo app provides services such as checking card details, balances and transaction history.

However, some SimplyGo account features require a Singapore mobile number or local identity verification.

Travelers using a foreign mobile number may still be able to use selected guest features, such as scanning a compatible card to check its details.

For most short-term visitors, checking and topping up an EZ-Link Card at an MRT ticketing machine may be easier than creating a full SimplyGo account.

EZ-Link Card vs Singapore Tourist Pass

Do not confuse a regular EZ-Link Card with the Singapore Tourist Pass.

Choose a regular EZ-Link Card if you:

  • Prefer to pay only for the rides you actually take
  • Are staying in Singapore for several days
  • Do not expect to use public transport many times every day
  • Want a reusable transport card

Consider the Singapore Tourist Pass if you:

  • Plan to take many MRT and bus rides each day

  • Prefer unlimited eligible public transport rides for a fixed period

The pictures online were a bit misleading. When I booked for 3 people with 3 breakfasts, it showed a king-size bed with a sofa bed, but upon arrival, there was only one king-size bed. It was quite a squeeze for three of us. When we tried to communicate with the hotel, there was a Chinese-speaking woman who refused to speak Chinese, which was frustrating. We had to contact Trip.com customer service, who said there were no other rooms available. We then tried to communicate with the hotel again to ask for a sofa bed. The hotel said they would charge for it, and it worked out to be over 500 RMB per day, which for 6 days felt unreasonable. In the end, we reluctantly squeezed into one bed. Although we managed to sleep, it wasn't comfortable, and the bed was extremely soft, leaving us feeling tired. The hotel facilities are relatively new, and the room is quite large, especially the bathroom. The shower pressure was excellent, but the water flow from the sink was a bit weak – a suggestion for improvement. The hotel is about a 7-minute walk from MRT Exit 4, but getting into the station itself takes another 7 minutes or so. We used the subway for all our outings, and it was quite convenient. The hotel breakfast wasn't extensive, but it was enough to fill up on if you took your time. The omelets were delicious and made fresh. Fruits and vegetables are very expensive in Singapore supermarkets, so we tried to make the most of breakfast at the hotel, where we could enjoy plenty of fruits, vegetables, and salads. Of course, if you want to eat out, it's also very convenient. There's a Great Wall shopping mall about a 10-minute walk away with many dining options. The hotel is right next to the Singapore River. You can walk through the hotel to get to the river and then stroll along it in the evening towards Merlion Park. Along the way, you'll pass two popular Jumbo Seafood restaurants, which are delicious but quite expensive and always packed with people. There are also many other dining establishments along the way, and the night view is beautiful. Hotel prices fluctuate a lot, so keep a close eye on them, even if you've locked in a rate, it can change. It takes about 1.5 hours to get to Changi Airport by MRT. Overall, it's a decent hotel. There are a lot of foreigners staying here, and I saw many adorable foreign children. If you're looking for a spacious, modernly decorated hotel, this could be a good choice.

This was my first hotel in Singapore, and it wasn't too far from the airport. The hotel environment was great, and the service was warm and professional. The room was also quite good, clean and tidy. I was too tired from my flight that day to take pictures. The staff knew it was my birthday and had decorated the room with a cake beforehand, which was incredibly thoughtful. I would definitely choose this hotel again if I have the chance.

My stay at Marina Bay Sands Singapore was absolutely fantastic and I highly recommend it! The hotel's location is excellent, directly connected to a mall, and within walking distance of famous attractions like Gardens by the Bay and Merlion Park, making getting around incredibly convenient. Check-in was efficient, and the staff were warm and professional, providing attentive service throughout, truly reflecting a five-star hotel experience. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a modern design and immaculate cleanliness. The bed was soft, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a wonderfully comfortable night's sleep. What truly impressed me most was the room's view – whether it was the city skyline or the Marina Bay night view, both were absolutely stunning. The hotel's infinity pool definitely lives up to its reputation; the views are unforgettable and it's an absolute must-visit spot when in Singapore. The breakfast spread was extensive, with a great variety of both Western and Asian options, all of which tasted delicious. Overall, everything from the environment and facilities to the service was impeccable. It was a very enjoyable and memorable stay. If I ever visit Singapore again, I will definitely choose this hotel, and I'll be recommending it to all my friends and family!

I stayed in a Deluxe Room at the Carlton Hotel Singapore. The front desk staff included Mandarin speakers, though English was the main language for daily communication. The hotel breakfast was excellent, and the room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Before my trip, I emailed the hotel to request twin beds as I was traveling with my grandmother, but upon check-in, I was given a king-sized bed. The front desk initially said they would check for availability to switch rooms at 3 PM, but this was pushed back to 5 PM, then 8:30 PM, and finally settled for 9 PM. Thankfully, the hotel called precisely at 9 PM to confirm the twin room was ready. While the back-and-forth wait for the room change was a bit of a hassle, it was eventually resolved satisfactorily. The hotel's location is exceptionally good. Directly across the street is Raffles City, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. Popular attractions like Merlion Park and Clarke Quay are just a 10-15 minute walk away. Several MRT stations and bus stops are also close by, making public transportation very convenient. Even locals I asked agreed that the hotel's location is excellent. Overall, I highly recommend staying here.

The biggest selling point of this hotel is its excellent location. It's about a 300m walk from City Hall MRT station. Many attractions like Fort Canning Park, the Old Hill Street Police Station (colorful building), Clarke Quay, St Andrew's Cathedral, and Chijmes are all within walking distance. If you don't mind walking, you can even stroll to Marina Bay Sands and Merlion Park. Plus, there's a direct connection to Changi Airport without transfers. To the right of the hotel is Funan Mall, which offers a wide variety of dining options and a supermarket where you can buy water (much cheaper than 7-Eleven!). The mall's B2 level connects directly to the MRT. Further down the road is Raffles City Shopping Centre. Overall, getting around is incredibly convenient. Since we were traveling during the summer holidays, I booked a twin room about a month and a half in advance. It cost a little over 1600 (SGD/currency implied) per night, including taxes and breakfast for two.

The front desk didn't have any Chinese-speaking staff, but their English was quite standard. The room size was spacious and not cramped. A minor inconvenience was the lack of outlets next to the bedside tables; instead, they were on the side without one. I tried the pool, and the only downside is that you might feel like an animal in a zoo, observed by people in the surrounding high-rise buildings. Breakfast had very limited options and wasn't tasty, which was a definite negative. However, overall, the good outweighs the bad. To summarize, the room size is good, the location is convenient, the service is fine, and the facilities are decent.

Our family trip to Singapore lasted a full 8 days with the kids. Although the country is smaller than a single district in Beijing, I feel like I've had a fairly in-depth experience. We stayed at four different hotels, and this was our first. It wasn't the most expensive, but I felt it offered the best service: 1. **Food & Service:** I really liked the handmade noodles at the breakfast buffet – they were quite unique. We happened to be there during National Day, and the hotel gave us a box of chocolates. They then followed up with chocolate souvenirs for two consecutive evenings. 2. **Location & Transportation:** The location was excellent. It was only a two-minute walk to catch the Duck Tour, making the exchange and boarding process very convenient. We could also easily access the Sunset Flight. Although this year's National Day fireworks weren't visible from this location, considering we had kids and didn't want to walk much, the location was still very suitable. 3. **Surrounding Amenities:** The MRT station wasn't far from the hotel, and there was a shopping mall nearby. Transportation in Singapore is also very convenient, with clear MRT maps. For getting around, we'd take the MRT whenever possible, and taxis when it wasn't. Taxi fares weren't expensive, and it felt quite worthwhile, especially with kids and a lot of luggage. If I go to Singapore again, this hotel would be my first choice. When we checked in, there were a lot of people, and our luggage took over two hours to be delivered to our room. However, after we called the front desk, they immediately followed up. This was just a minor hiccup and understandable.

Facilities: The room was very small, not big enough to open two suitcases, but it did have a mini-fridge, kettle, and hairdryer. There was a microwave on each floor in the hallway, and you could get drinking water in the lobby on the first floor. Cleanliness: I stayed for two days, and there was no housekeeping service. It seems they only clean every three days. The bathroom trash can was especially small and overflowed after two days. Environment: The room was very damp, and there was a strong musty smell every time I entered. I had to turn on the air conditioning to air it out. Service: The taxi dropped us off directly on the second floor of the hotel. Self check-in was a bit confusing and there was no guidance to go to the first floor for assistance. As a result, our two rooms weren't even on the same floor. I'd recommend going directly to the front desk on the first floor for check-in; they speak basic Chinese. The room truly was super small. The hotel facilities are comparable to a budget hotel in China. They don't provide bottled water or disposable slippers. Singapore prices are definitely high; you could get a much better place in Kuala Lumpur for half the price. The hotel's location is excellent, very convenient for the subway and taxis. There are many eateries nearby. Ya Kun Kaya Toast had a long queue in the morning but was less busy in the afternoon. The Wok Hey chili pan mee next door was pretty good and suitable for Chinese palates. There's a small bar on the first floor with live music at night, creating a nice atmosphere. Overall, it's suitable for young travelers but not ideal for those traveling with children or the elderly.

The service was quite good, and they offered luggage storage. If you exit the hotel and turn left, you'll find the Esplanade MRT station (Exit A) on the Circle Line. There's a laundry room on the 4th floor; washing and drying costs 10 SGD, and you can get coins at the front desk on the ground floor. I didn't get to check out the pool. Facilities: All essential amenities are provided, including disposable toiletries, towels, bath towels, a hairdryer, and even a mini-fridge and an iron (though I didn't use it). The second floor offers a private space with power outlets and a desk. It's compact but sufficient; a 20-inch suitcase can be laid out on the desk, and downstairs, two 24-inch suitcases can easily be opened simultaneously. The bathroom has drinkable tap water. Cleanliness: Very clean, no insects or anything of the sort. Environment: I'm really satisfied. The hallway is very quiet, and the soundproofing is excellent; you can't hear any noise during resting hours. The air conditioning is powerful. Service: The room includes complimentary snacks, tea bags, and coffee, but beverages are extra. Every morning when I left, I’d encounter the housekeeping staff, with whom I could communicate using simple English. The front desk service is great, and they offer free luggage storage. Security is also excellent; you need to use your room key card to access your designated floor. From 3 PM to 6 PM, there's complimentary ice cream. Although breakfast isn't included, there are breakfast spots on the first floor and downstairs at the hotel opposite the All Seasons building, as well as in the mall across from the Dhoby Ghaut MRT station. Transportation is also very convenient! The MRT and bus stops are incredibly close, and Dhoby Ghaut is an interchange for three MRT lines. Bus 36, which goes directly to the airport, is also nearby (just make sure you're going in the right direction). One more important thing! Fort Canning Park is nearby, and the famous 'tree tunnel' photo spot is right downstairs from the All Seasons building! We stayed in a rooftop room with a terrace and a fantastic view. Pros: The location is great. The shuttle stop is conveniently named 'Beach Resort', and it's also easy to get to the express station – just a short walk if you don't want to take the shuttle. It's right next to the Skyride, and not far from where you can watch the Wings of Time firework show. We met the owner at breakfast, and he was very welcoming. We had breakfast and dinner once each; they looked simple, but honestly, the taste was quite good. And the pool, no need to say, was excellent! It's also wonderful that the owner employs people with disabilities. Cons: The room, including the bathroom, was very basic, like a guesthouse. There were indeed ants, and we even saw a large mosquito, but we didn't mind too much and managed fine. The reception is on the 8th floor, and the elevators and everything else are very rudimentary. Being able to get to the ocean quickly and encountering wildlife we don't usually see was also a plus. In addition, the cupboard could not open fully because of the limited space. The beds were clean, although the room overall did not feel thoroughly cleaned. Considering the room rate, I felt the quality did not quite meet expectations. However, this impression may partly be because we had just travelled from Japan, where small spaces were often thoughtfully designed and accommodation of a similar standard was generally less expensive. On a positive note, the staff were friendly.

Overall, the room was quite small and the facilities were a bit old. The bedding was clean, no bugs or anything. However, it wasn't a duvet but more like a blanket made of a large bath towel material. Let's just say it kept me from getting cold while sleeping. The air conditioner was clunking loudly at first, but miraculously, it quieted down after I adjusted the settings – I guess I got lucky. My child left the travel adapter in the room. Several hours later, I went to the front desk, and despite my broken English, the lovely front desk staff found it for me. A quick registration and it was all sorted. The overall service was quite warm and welcoming. Staying one night was acceptable. Oh, and by the way, there's no wet/dry separation in the bathroom. If that's important to you, make sure to check before booking. Many hotels in Singapore don't have wet/dry separation, likely due to space constraints. It's within walking distance of Clarke Quay, which I recommend visiting at night – it's very close. It's also not far from the MRT station. If you're up for a walk, you can even stroll to Fort Canning Park.

This is an older hotel, and the family room was surprisingly spacious for Singapore standards! The facilities are quite dated, but still clean and tidy. While it couldn't escape the typical musty smell you find in Singapore hotels, overall, it offers good value for money. The bathroom definitely felt old, reminiscent of an older 3-star hotel in China. I'd recommend bringing your own towels. They do provide disposable slippers and toothbrushes. The location is convenient, with a bus stop right outside.

My first stay at this hotel in 2024 was excellent, so I specifically chose it again for this trip, but to my surprise, the check-in experience was a huge disappointment. During check-in, the Chinese-speaking front desk staff directly assigned us a connecting room. We could hear the foreign couple next door talking and making noise crystal clear; the soundproofing was extremely poor. We were traveling with a child, and it was impossible to get any proper rest. After contacting Ctrip customer service, it took over an hour for the staff to coordinate and successfully arrange a room change. This positive review is specifically for the Ctrip customer service representative who handled our room change issue. I want to warn everyone to avoid connecting rooms 06 and 07; the soundproofing is bad, and the noise is severe.

I stayed here because I had an early flight the next morning. The location is perfect, as I could do some last-minute shopping at Jewel and prepare for my departure. It felt like a significantly upgraded capsule hotel bed, though I've never actually stayed in a capsule hotel before. However, the room was tiny. Once I opened my large suitcase, there was barely any space to move around. The shower only had a half-glass door, so if you took a vigorous shower, the floor near the toilet would get soaked. The water pressure was also incredibly weak. Shampoo and body wash were provided, but there was no conditioner. There were two USB ports for phone charging, but neither of them worked. I managed to charge my phone using an adapter I brought from Japan, but it was slow charging due to the weak current. It took about 5 hours to fully charge. I had some time before hotel check-in, so I stopped by the Priority Pass lounge at Jewel to charge my phone, which was a much more comfortable experience. The showers there were also much more luxurious. As soon as I entered the room, I found the pink lighting to be distasteful, like a love hotel. You could switch it off, but I couldn't relax at all in a pink room. The bed was plush and comfortable though, which was a plus.

The room was ok, although small but functional. Had an unpleasant experience with the parking as there was no complimentary parking and to make it worse, you had to park at level 2 to be eligible for the $10 overnight parking. Otherwise, the parking is a lot more expensive. We ended up paying $37. They should have put some notice to inform guests who need to park to go to level 2. Will not want to come back to stay anymore

We stayed for 3 nights in a quad room (two rooms with one shared entrance), but the front desk upgraded us to a 6-person room for free. It had four separate rooms, so we each had our own space and slept very comfortably. However, the bathroom sink being outside the actual bathroom was a bit inconvenient. A hairdryer was provided and worked well enough. Breakfast was available every day, even on weekends, but the selection was extremely limited. If you went early, getting food was smooth, but if you arrived too late, there was a long queue, which was very time-consuming. We only ate breakfast on the first day; we thought about a second round, but seeing the long line, we decided against it. From the second day onwards, we just went downstairs to Ya Kun Kaya Toast and Toast Box. There are no longer water dispensers on each floor; you need to go to the front desk to refill water. Laundry and dryer facilities are available for 8 SGD each. Although expensive, it was very convenient. Downstairs, there are restaurants and a supermarket. The location is excellent, close to Fort Canning Park, Clarke Quay, the Old Hill Street Police Station, and Chijmes. Overall, it was a great experience. It would be perfect if they could improve the breakfast environment and flow.

Overall, I'm quite satisfied. The room size isn't huge, but the bathroom is a bit larger (the room feels similar to an Atour or Hanting in China). I booked a king room, and I was with my two children, so three of us in total. When I checked in, I requested an extra bed, which was provided free of charge – a big thumbs up! There were a few small mildew spots on the shower caddy and floor tiles, but it was acceptable. The hotel pool is really nice, with pleasant views. You'll need to speak English at the front desk (I didn't encounter anyone who spoke Chinese during check-in or check-out). There are bars and several restaurants from the first to the third floor, so the amenities are quite comprehensive. We had the buffet dinner, which was pretty good. The service attitude was excellent, so overall, I'm satisfied. I'd recommend choosing a higher floor to get a better view of the Burj Al Arab and the Ferris wheel. We were on the 5th floor, and the view was obstructed.

The room isn't small, perfectly adequate for two people. The bed is very comfortable, and the 1-meter single bed was also sufficient. You can see the sea from the window, which is nice. The hotel environment is great, and they even offered complimentary snacks upon check-in, which was wonderful! The room came with coffee capsules, so I could enjoy coffee daily, saving me a lot of money. The only downside is that the hotel is a bit hard to find, located at the very end of the parking lot. However, it's very close to the beach, just a few minutes' walk. An utterly frustrating check-in experience. When I arrived, the first front desk staff member, without even checking my passport, reservation, or room details, confidently stated there were no rooms available. So I waited in the lobby for a while. That's when something strange happened: despite being told it was fully booked, white guests around me one by one successfully checked in and received their room cards. Only I and an Asian couple ahead of me were told there were no room cards. This was incredibly puzzling and infuriating 😡🤬. I then switched to another front desk agent who was very helpful and said he would do his best to assist me. Luckily, he managed to find an empty room for me to check into 🤔. So why did the first front desk agent lie to me about having no rooms and refuse me check-in, yet accommodate all the white guests? 😅😅 Are Asians so two-faced, even amongst themselves? I definitely do not recommend this hotel for Asians, especially those with Chinese faces. All in all, a terrible experience.

If you're looking for a hotel with great value for money in downtown Singapore, this is the one to book without hesitation. I was traveling to Singapore with my child for a competition, and I spent a lot of time agonizing over which hotel to choose, feeling quite anxious after reading many reviews. We arrived at the hotel at 3 AM. The lobby is on the third floor, and from the moment we met the reception staff on the first floor, we had a wonderful experience. It's true that check-in at the front desk was a bit slow, but the Indian lady there had a translation app ready and communicated patiently with us. She wasn't impatient despite our limited English, so the slight delay was understandable. The room size exceeded my expectations, it was clean, and the facilities were great. The cleaning staff also spoke excellent Mandarin. The pool was comfortable, and the water was very clean – my child absolutely loved it. It's only 200 meters from City Hall MRT station, and the surrounding commercial area is very lively. Funan Mall is just 200 meters away, offering a wide variety of food, including many Chinese restaurants, so communication in Mandarin was never an issue. Old Hill Street Police Station is 200 meters away, and within 800-900 meters, you can reach the Merlion, Marina Square, Marina Bay Sands, and more. The superior location is undeniable. I especially want to thank the reception staff on the first floor (I apologize for forgetting their name). My child needed daily injections, and the medication required refrigeration in the hotel's common fridge. Every day when I went to retrieve the medicine, they greeted me with the warmest smiles and proactive assistance. Although there was a language barrier, it didn't hinder our seamless communication at all. Based on my experience, I didn't encounter any of the issues mentioned in many of the hotel's reviews. My stay was a perfect 100 points, and if I ever go to Singapore again, I will definitely book this hotel without a second thought.

Coming from another hotel, I felt a significant downgrade. The room facing Marina Bay was a construction site (I refused a Marina Bay-facing room when I changed rooms later). There were very few Chinese-speaking staff, making communication difficult (despite many Chinese tourists now). The room was old and rundown. The first room I entered had a leak (it was repaired, but not properly). In the twin room, the nightstand wasn't between the two beds, and the staff said it was requested by the previous guest (but I didn't make that request!). After changing rooms, it was arranged normally. Later that night, I found a strip of light in the drawer that wouldn't turn off, but it was late so I just made do. For breakfast, you need to go early, otherwise, there's a long queue. It's very convenient for visiting nearby attractions. Initially, I couldn't connect my phone to the hotel's Wi-Fi, and it took a long time to resolve.

The environment is beautiful, and the service is excellent 👍🏻. The breakfast spread is rich with many choices. Upon check-in, we received a S$100 dining credit, which we used for dinner, and the food quality was great, definitely five-star standard. To celebrate my daughter's birthday, they specially delivered a cake and fruits. The chocolate cake was delicious and not too sweet, tasting very natural. They also arranged a room upgrade, and the room was very spacious and comfortable. This hotel is absolutely fantastic, and the location is super convenient. You can reach the Merlion via the underground tunnel or directly across the street, and it's also close to the Skyline. You can walk to many tourist attractions without needing a car, exploring the waterfront. In the evenings, there's live music. The only minor complaint would be some renovation and wall-turning noise in the mornings, but they have large Dyson fans for ventilation, and we usually go out in the afternoons, so it wasn't a major issue. By the time we returned to the hotel in the evening, the smell had disappeared, leaving the air fresh! I will definitely stay here again and recommend it on my next visit to Singapore 👍🏻! It was alright. The hotel is very quiet, even rooms in the hallway. I checked and the walls are solid, not like the hollow, thin walls you often find in Singapore. I finally got some good sleep in Singapore for a few days 😭. Even with a massive downpour outside, I couldn't hear a thing. Breakfast was just okay, maybe not even worth it. You're better off eating at the hawker center across the street, or you can go through the door next to the hotel's breakfast restaurant directly into a mall and eat at Ya Kun.

Shangri-La, my absolute favorite! Even with all the talk on Xiaohongshu about various inconveniences, I still chose this hotel in the end. Having stayed at Shangri-La hotels in three or four different cities, from north to south, and from China to Singapore, a sense of familiarity and trust has quietly built up. First off, the garden is absolutely beautiful. After breakfast, or in the evening, wandering through the corners of this hotel, you feel completely relaxed. People say the location isn't ideal for getting around, but compared to hotels with 'good' locations where you step out right onto a busy road and the rooms are cramped, the true meaning of a vacation is perfectly embodied here. So what if there's a small slope? With all the flowers and plants by the roadside, playful dogs and children, and leisurely people, all the travel anxieties and rushing simply disappear. With such a beautiful courtyard, there's no need to even leave; you're already amidst nature. My ten-year-old sister was busy all day, swimming, at the playground, and running around in the garden... It's truly beautiful, and I'm not just talking about the lobby that's only good for photo ops! Secondly, breakfast is excellent! Singapore, a culinary desert, is like a puzzle missing its ornate edges. Choosing to have breakfast included this time was a smart move; I practically relied on this one meal for the day. It was very rich and satisfying, and after eating, I was full of energy to head out to explore every corner of the city. Excellent! I'll definitely be back next time!

The renovated Grand Hyatt is grand and clean. We stayed for two nights, and everything went smoothly. Check-in was a bit slow, but it was efficient. We asked the hotel for extra water, and they immediately provided 10 bottles. Requests to housekeeping were also handled very quickly! The bay window sofa design is excellent; you can even get extra blankets to use it as a bed. My family and I both found the breakfast buffet delicious. I think it's the best curry, laksa, and teh tarik I've had in Singapore, especially after trying several popular '网红' (influencer-recommended) restaurants that weren't as good as the Hyatt's. The deposit refund might be a bit slow, taking 14-21 days to process, which is a downside compared to other Hyatt properties like Andaz, where the refund is processed on the same day. When we were leaving, I had two suitcases by myself, and a South Asian staff member in the lobby proactively offered to help. Overall, everything went smoothly, and I want to thank all the hotel staff for giving me a pleasant vacation.

But our family of three still felt a bit shaken... Although the lobby and pool are quite beautiful, we still won't be staying here again... We didn't even receive a complimentary greeting for our anniversary celebration... For my trip to Singapore, I want to extend my sincere gratitude to Atiq, an outstanding staff member at the Fairmont Hotel. A small incident occurred during our trip, which truly highlighted the hotel's professional and heartwarming service. We stayed at the Fairmont Hotel for our first stop, and then headed to Sentosa for the next part of our itinerary. After checking in at Sentosa and just as we were about to head to Resorts World, my child suddenly realized that their blue backpack, containing nearly completed summer homework, had been left on a sofa in the Fairmont Hotel lobby. The thought of losing all that hard-earned homework instantly panicked my child, and as parents, we were at a loss and quite flustered. In this critical moment, with assistance from the Sentosa side, Atiq from the Fairmont's concierge team responded swiftly. He carefully verified and confirmed that both the backpack and the summer homework were intact. He efficiently coordinated the inter-hotel transfer, immediately arranging a taxi to deliver the lost bag to our Sentosa hotel as quickly as possible. From locating the lost backpack, verifying information, coordinating communication, to the actual delivery of the item, the entire cross-location handling process took only thirty minutes. The view from the window is just like a picture – choosing a riverside room was definitely a wise decision. You can see the Singapore River, its bridges, and Clarke Quay. Although the windows are sealed, the room's ventilation system is excellent; there's no stuffiness or strange odors. Singapore is humid, so I assume the sealed windows are to prevent the room from getting damp. The location is central, offering a quiet escape from the city buzz while being incredibly convenient for transport. If you're traveling with elderly family members or children and need to take taxis, nearly every attraction is easily accessible from here. It's also fantastic for a leisurely stroll; the surrounding area has no super-tall buildings, just a historic and charming neighborhood. I absolutely love this kind of urban character. The room, though small, has everything you need. While the room facilities and bedding might not quite meet five-star standards, and the single bed is a bit narrow, these are all acceptable given the numerous positives, haha! The front desk staff were lovely, and the buffet restaurant staff were very efficient. The egg pancake at the breakfast buffet was good, and dining outdoors was very pleasant. The room service staff were also quite decent. The bedding wasn't changed daily; during our three-day stay, they only emptied the bins and replaced the linen. Can You Refund an EZ-Link Card?

Refund rules depend on the type of EZ-Link Card you are using.

For eligible traditional EZ-Link cards, the remaining stored value may be refundable through selected ticketing service locations.

SimplyGo EZ-Link refunds may follow a different process and can require additional processing time or local banking arrangements.

For overseas visitors, this may not always be convenient.

To avoid leaving too much unused value on the card, add smaller amounts toward the end of your Singapore trip.

How Long Is an EZ-Link Card Valid?

An EZ-Link Card is generally valid for several years, with many cards having a validity period of around five years.

The exact expiry date can vary depending on the card type and when it was issued.

If you plan to return to Singapore before your card expires, you can keep the card and use it again during your next visit.

❤ Pro Tip: Stay connected during your Singapore trip with a Singapore eSIM. Mobile data is useful for checking MRT routes, bus arrival times, maps and attraction bookings while exploring the city.

Tips for Using an EZ-Link Card in Singapore

  • Keep your EZ-Link Card separate from other contactless cards when tapping. This prevents the fare reader from detecting the wrong card.
  • Always use the same card when entering and leaving an MRT station.
  • For public buses, remember to tap when boarding and tap again before getting off.
  • Check your balance regularly, especially before longer journeys.
  • Avoid adding too much money near the end of your Singapore trip if you do not plan to return soon.
  • If your card is still valid and you expect to visit Singapore again, keep it for your next trip.
