Brunei E-Arrival Card: Registration, Requirements and Tips

Author's Profile Picture
**Brunei Arrival Card**

Brunei keeps its arrival process simple, but Filipino visitors still need to complete the free E-Arrival Card before entering. Philippine passport holders may stay visa-free for up to 14 days. Here is how to register through the INRS portal, prepare the right documents, and complete immigration and customs checks at BWN Airport.

❤️Pro Tip: When planning your visit, consider booking flights to Brunei and Brunei hotels in advance to secure the best rates.

What is the Brunei Arrival Card?

What is the Brunei Arrival Card?

The Brunei Arrival Card, officially called the E-Arrival Card, is an online immigration registration form managed by Brunei’s Department of Immigration and National Registration.

It replaced the former paper Form 19 Embarkation and Disembarkation Form. The card collects information such as:

  • Personal and passport details
  • Arrival and departure information
  • Flight, vehicle, or vessel details
  • Accommodation address in Brunei

The portal uses the term Travel Cards in its menu, but the official document is called the E-Arrival Card.

The E-Arrival Card is free. It is not a visa, immigration pass, customs declaration, or guarantee of entry. Immigration officers still make the final decision at the border. Brunei Immigration has also warned travelers that it has not appointed paid agents to process the form.

✈️ Pro Tip: If you are planning a trip soon, look for flights to Brunei early so you can get better prices and more schedule options.

Do Filipino Travelers Need the Brunei E-Arrival Card?

Yes. Filipino travelers must register an E-Arrival Card before entering Brunei, even when using the 14-day visa-free arrangement.

The requirement applies to foreign nationals entering through:

  • Brunei International Airport
  • Land border checkpoints
  • Ferry and sea entry points

It also applies to children and travelers making a short visit or same-day land border trip. Each traveler’s passport and travel information must be registered.

Who Does Not Need the Card?

The card is not required for:

  • Brunei citizens
  • Transit passengers who remain in the international transit area
  • Passengers continuing to another destination without passing through Brunei immigration

If you leave the transit area, collect checked baggage, stay overnight outside the airport, or pass through immigration, you are entering Brunei and must complete the card.

The official launch notice confirms that the requirement applies to foreign nationals entering by air, land, or sea, with an exemption for passengers who transit without entering Brunei.

Do Filipinos Need a Visa for Brunei?

Ordinary Philippine passport holders can enter Brunei without a visa for a visit of up to 14 days.

You may need the appropriate visa or immigration pass if you:

  • Plan to stay longer than 14 days
  • Intend to work in Brunei
  • Will study in Brunei
  • Are entering for a professional assignment
  • Have a passport other than a Philippine passport

Visa-free entry does not give permission to work. The Embassy of Brunei in Manila confirms the 14-day visa-free period for Philippine passport holders.

When Should You Complete the Brunei Arrival Card?

Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque

Complete the E-Arrival Card before arriving in Brunei.

Brunei Immigration encourages foreign travelers to register early but does not publish a strict rule stating that the portal opens only 72 hours before arrival. A practical time to submit the form is around three days before your trip, once your flight and accommodation details are confirmed.

Do not rely on completing it after landing. Airport internet access may be unreliable, and an incomplete registration may delay immigration clearance.

If your flight, departure date, or accommodation changes, you can update your existing Travel Card through the portal.

What to Prepare Before Starting

Have the following information ready:

  • Valid Philippine passport
  • Active email address
  • Arrival and departure dates
  • Flight number or vehicle details
  • Brunei port of entry
  • Hotel or accommodation name
  • Full accommodation address in Brunei
  • Return or onward travel information

For connecting flights, enter the flight number of the aircraft that will land in Brunei. For example, if you fly from Manila to Kuala Lumpur and then to Brunei, use the Kuala Lumpur to Brunei flight number.

🏨 Pro Tip: Don’t forget to look for Brunei hotels near major attractions to make your sightseeing more convenient!

The hotel staff is very nice. The location isn’t too bad if you like walking but it’s not very close to train and metro stations in my opinion but it definitely depends on your walk speed and physical health. The room was cleaned greatly, we had great wifi connection in every corner of the hotel. The view was perfect, we could see the water. The breakfast had good options to try as well.

This hotel is highly recommended. Whether it is from the location of the hotel, quality of service, infrastructure, it is perfect! My mom heard that Ctrip can write reviews, so let me write a good comment. The breakfast is quite rich and picturesque. The room is large, there are a lot of compartments, and the hotel is also quite thoughtful. Only you can't think of it, without them being prepared, I think I should be able to satisfy all kinds of discerning guests. In the winter, you can also have a fireplace. It’s really burning wood. My mom's favorite is the garden next to the hotel. It is free to enter the hotel. It is really super beautiful, all kinds of flowers, various amusement facilities, various restaurants, my mom has to go shopping every night. The hotel is in the center of the city, the traffic is very convenient, just buy something to walk, no need to take a taxi, what brand can be found around it. Maybe its appearance is not so conspicuous, but walking into the hotel will really shock you. I am also a very picky person, this hotel really makes me quite satisfied, strong Amway, very worthy of its price, do not hesitate.

Because the passport was lost in the Netherlands, I did not stay at this hotel. . . Because the reservation is a non-cancellable room, so I have consulted the customer service of Ctrip with the attitude of trying it out. The customer service actively helps the communication. Because the time difference is still not answered when the phone is not available, I will send a text message to me at the first time. The hotel agreed to deduct the first night's room rate and the rest was refunded. It was really unexpected and happy! Saved me more than 10,000 yuan in losses! I would like to thank Ctrip customer service and thank you for your understanding! I will definitely choose this hotel again next time! Thank you

We had a lovely stay at Admiral Hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable, although a few amenities were missing. The hotel is well-suited for both business and leisure stays, whether you’re traveling as a couple, with friends, or with family. The location is very central, making it easy to explore the city. We especially enjoyed renting bikes from the hotel, which made getting around both fun and convenient. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always available to assist.

The room is spacious and clean. The bed is very comfortable. The view from the window is absolutely beautiful. I enjoyed watching the birds flying around. The hotel is within walking distance of several places of interest. The room is really very nice but the staff are another matter. Only a couple of the front desk staff are friendly and helpful while most are curt and unfriendly. The housekeeping team was always forgetting something. For example, fresh face towels were not given after the soiled ones were removed. Two bottles of hand soap were at the sink instead of one soap and one body lotion. The housekeeping staff also knocked on the door twice in the morning to check if they could clean the room. That happened 3 out of the 5 days I stayed with them. Even on the last day when I was going to check out, a housekeeping staff knocked on my door to ask if she could make up the room and I was going to leave the hotel for good in 2.5 hours. It was mind boggling why she could not wait till I had checked out from the hotel to make up or clean the room.

Seriously, folks, choosing this hotel for our honeymoon was the best decision ever! 😭 From the moment we stepped inside, we were completely captivated by the Nordic aesthetic and thoughtful touches. 📍The location is right near the Central Station. We could walk there in just a few minutes with our luggage, which is super friendly for travelers. But the biggest surprise wasn't the convenience; it was the 'youthful vibe' that permeated the entire place. 🛏️Since it was our honeymoon, the hotel upgraded us directly to a suite! Anyone who's stayed in Europe knows rooms are generally on the smaller side, but the space and bed size in this suite were truly generous. We could literally dance around the room! 🎨The decor was textbook Nordic style – minimalist but not cold. Every detail was aesthetically pleasing, and every snap looked like it came straight out of a home decor magazine. It was stylish and sophisticated. 🛁The bathroom had excellent wet/dry separation. The bathtub and shower were separate, which deserves a special shout-out. After walking 20,000 steps exploring Copenhagen during the day, coming back to a relaxing bath in the evening really elevated the honeymoon experience! 🧖‍♀️ 📸And now for the detail that truly touched me the most – the hotel actually provided us with an instant camera (Polaroid) to use!! They said we could take as many photos as we wanted, and they just needed one for their keepsake. I thought it was just for their archives, but it turns out they display guests' photos in the elevator! Seeing a wall full of smiling faces from all over the world when we went to press the elevator button... how do I describe that feeling? It was like being embraced by a warm community. Our own photos became a part of that wall, and it was truly so innovative! 💛 I've stayed in so many hotels while traveling, but the ones that put thought into these little details are the ones you truly remember for a long time.

On the first day, due to a late flight (which I had informed the hotel about in advance), I arrived at 1:30 AM. It took me a while to find the hotel entrance. Once inside, I got my room card, but I had to go up and down to the front desk three times to find the correct room. The first time, the room number written looked like a 5 but was a 6. The second time, two people came out of the room because the front desk had given me the wrong number. It was only on the third attempt that the front desk provided the correct room number, allowing me to finally check in. It was quite an ordeal, but I guess good things come to those who wait. The hotel's first floor was undergoing minor renovations, but it didn't cause any inconvenience. The only downside was that the windows had very poor sound insulation; the traffic noise from the street was loud enough to wake me up.

Wakeup Copenhagen - Carsten Niebuhrs Gade: After a nightmare stay at City Hotel Nebo (Istedgade 6, 1650 København V, Denmark) where I couldn't sleep and my skin was itching due to dirty conditions including hair in the sink and no hygiene products available, Wakeup Copenhagen was my salvation. Immaculate cleanliness, modern minimalist room on 8th floor with marvelous city view, comfortable bed where I finally slept after 48 hours of exhaustion, clean shower with good water pressure, good quality breakfast, very good reception lobby, perfect location near Dybbølsbro Station (500m) and easy access to Copenhagen Bus Terminal for my FlixBus, excellent value at €62-70. Rating: 9/10. Compared to City Hotel Nebo (-3/10), this was heaven. The contrast was shocking - from dirty and uncomfortable to clean, modern, and peaceful. This hotel saved my trip and gave me the rest I needed to enjoy my last day in Copenhagen. Absolutely recommended for solo travelers who value cleanliness! Thank you Trip.com and Wakeup Copenhagen! 🙏

Great hostel in an excellent location. It’s within walking distance of Copenhagen Central Station, Tivoli Gardens, and many of the city’s main attractions, which made exploring the city easy. What stood out most was how much there is to do inside the hostel. If you arrive before check-in or have a late flight, train, or bus after check-out, there are plenty of spaces to relax, work, or socialize. There are games, a rooftop area, a gym, and several common spaces, so waiting never feels like a waste of time. The hostel is clean, modern, and has a friendly atmosphere. Lockers are available for luggage storage for an additional fee, which is convenient if you want to explore the city without carrying your bags. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended for solo travelers, couples, and groups visiting Copenhagen.

We booked a triple room in advance and checked in at 6 PM, only to find just two beds, no bottled water, no coffee, and no wardrobe. The amenities were incredibly basic. Definitely not worth the price! We also encountered long queues due to a tour group checking in. Breakfast was €31, with limited options, and felt quite overpriced. On the bright side, the view outside the window was nice, with a lake. The booking showed a family room for four, but it was already cramped with just three of us. This Wyndham hotel is actually a rip-off. The rooms are decent, but the parking situation is a nightmare. You're forced to register your license plate at the front desk immediately after parking your car. If you don't do it right away, they'll slap a parking ticket on your car in the downstairs parking lot. When you go to the front desk about it, they completely wash their hands of it, claiming the hotel has nothing to do with the parking lot. Then, if you try to contact the company that issued the ticket, there's no dedicated person or phone number to reach them. Even if you email them to explain the situation, no one replies. I suspect this hotel and the ticketing company are in cahoots. The fine was around 1000 RMB! I can't believe I got a parking ticket in the hotel's own parking lot!!!!

I stayed here on a solo trip! The room was adorable with a sloped ceiling and a window that felt like an attic room, and I had such a wonderful time. I could see seagulls and the morning sun from the window, making it so cozy that I just wanted to relax at the hotel. The wooden floorboards were also lovely, and it felt like I had my own little room, allowing me to travel as if I were living there, which made me very happy. Above all, the reception staff were incredibly kind, and I really felt the warmth of Danish people. It's about a 10-minute walk from the central station, but it's in the opposite direction from Strøget and Nyhavn, so be aware that you'll have a bit of a walk to get to the tourist spots!

The location of the hotel is very close to central station and is a short walk to the meatpacking district and Tivoli. The staff are friendly and helpful with guests. The wine offered during happy hour is a nice offering, and the lobby can get quite busy during this time. The breakfast is nice and offers a good assortment of items, but can become repetitive if you're staying for longer duration as the items are the same each day. The rooms are small and cozy, however the bathrooms are even smaller. The shower is directly adjacent to the toilet and is separated only by a shower curtain which will get the floors of the bathroom wet. A nice hotel option close to the train station.

I was thinking that I could wash clothes during the journey, so I decided this service apartment. I personally don't recommend it, although it's not bad location. But if you take luggage, the stairs are very difficult to walk. The room was clean, but the kettle was dirty. All equipment was very simple. The lights in the hall were so low that each of us hit. This hotel was booked through Ctrip.com. The main factors considered when booking were: 1. Four-star, 2. Large enough room (more than 20 square meters), 3. Good location (especially close to the subway station), 4. Rating must be above 4.2. 5. Free cancellation (in case of unexpected changes in the itinerary). Based on the above conditions, I chose Hotel Bella Grande. I used to think that booking a hotel abroad must be cheaper, but in actual comparison, I still chose Jiaocheng (I booked eight hotels on this trip to Northern Europe, and Jiaocheng was more competitive in terms of price). Actual experience of staying: 1. The hotel service is very good. After placing the order, I received an email from the hotel, expressing welcome to stay and asking if there are any special needs? I replied that I hope there will be a kettle and a desk in the room, and the hotel has implemented them. The front desk staff was very friendly and enthusiastic when checking in, which made people feel very comfortable. It rained on the second day of our stay, and the hotel front desk provided us with two umbrellas. 2. The location is very good. The hotel is located next to the Town Hall Square. It is a two-minute walk from the M3/M4 subway station. It is very convenient to go to the airport and various attractions. 3. The room facilities are OK and meet expectations. 4. The hotel breakfast is good, but there are no vegetables. I stayed for four days and the breakfast did not change. 5. The WiFi is very good. In short, the stay experience is satisfactory.

I come to Copenhagen often, but this was my first time staying at this Radisson. I arrived late at night, and when I booked, I specifically requested a quiet, high-floor room away from the elevators because I'm a light sleeper. However, when I checked in, the hotel said they were fully booked and still put me in a room right next to the elevators. With four elevators constantly running, I couldn't sleep all night. On the bright side, the Trip.com customer service was very good, which I appreciate, even though the issue wasn't ultimately resolved.

The location is quiet and close to the TIVOLI Playground and the Carlsberg Art Gallery. The size of the room is relatively cramped, but the hotel rooms in downtown Copenhagen are very small. The overall warmth and comfort of the hotel, and the same hotel management group operation of SP34, the overall design is good.

This hotel is located super close to Copenhagen Central Station, just a two-block walk away, which makes the location incredibly convenient. It's also really easy to get to the pedestrian street and City Hall Square, and it's not a long walk to the canal boats either.

Location is quite far away from train station, Ok for summer but not when snowy! One thing to mention is we bumped into a very beautiful wolf when we walked back to the hotel one night. Breakfast is Ok if you are a healthy style preferably. One thing very inconvenient is the two doors of the hotel are both staircase and so it will be very bad when you have a heavy luggage to carry.

I and my son stayed for 3 days (btw 26-29 May ) at a Deluxe Room at 5th floor. Hotel Location was very close to TIVOLI and Central Station. Room was clean and wide. I stayed on ”Breakfast included” basis.. Since I am an omelette or scrambled egg person at breakfast, the breakfast menu was sufficient for me because omelette and scrambled egg they were included under breakfast menu. . However, I've seen same star hotels with much more richer breakfasts of course. 1) Our 5th floor room was reachable via 2 elevators. Firrst you take an elevator and go to 1st floor. Then at 1st floor you walk through a looong coridor. I guess, after this long walk we reach to an additional building of hotel which you cannot understand.. From there you get the elevator again and reach 5th floor. ( I stayed at room 1503 ) 2) Everyday the room was cleaned. 3) The reastaurant staff was very friendly and they were giving service in a very kind way. 4) The reception staff; They did not do anything wrong, but normally I expect a larger smile and more welcoming, energyc, warm attitudes when I step in a hotel. I do not know why I could not feel this at this hotel reception. Secondly, when the Italian male receptionst asked me about my room choice when checking in ( room with a view OR quite room looking at inner garden ), I said I prefer the room with VIEW. However, when I was choosing the room with view, I did not know that room was looking at a street where ROAD CONSTRUCTION was going on. He only told me that street can be crowded only during weekend. I said we will leave until weekend so I thought that I will not be effected from any street noise at a evening. But a CONSTRUCTION NOISE during day that he did not mention was not nice. Overall, it is a nice hotel. But ask where your room is exactly located and ask if you will reach by 1 or 2 elevators. Photos are; from Breakfast and view from my 5th floor room. But down below of this view, the hotel looks at another hotesls' rooms and balconies.

We arrived early, the front desk staff kindly checked us in straight away. AC was working when we entered the room. Cool and refreshing. At the reception area we could access to still water and sparkling water, various tea bags and instant coffee. In the room there’s a kettle to make own drinks. The bathroom is spacious with bathtub and shower combo. I would say this hotel is family friendly with lots of activities, board games, swimming pool. Breakfast was included, we thought it was very good with tea leaves, fresh coffee, energy drink, cold cuts, hot meals, and very popular for kids were make your own waffles. A short walk to metro station, nearby amusement park, even so this hotel located rather quiet area

Zero cleaning in 4 days stay, even tho we asked couple times. Despite a stay being extra expensive, close to 700 euros for 4 nights in a bunk bed, the gym wasn't included, we had to pay extra. No refill in fresh towel without asking, no refill in coffee or tea, nothing. Not even empty our trash. Cleaning staff in common area asking you to move table when you're in the middle of an imprtant call...not professional at all. The place was far to be bad, but the service can easily be improved for the comfort of the clients. Good points: clean building, nice wifi, right next to a mall and train station.

There should be more accurate information about the distance between the Central Station and the Hotel. It must be more than 3km, or at lest feels like this, especially when walking through the narrow and bumpy streets full of people on Saturday evening. Also, it would be nicer if the Hotel stops emailing me so many times before my check-in and after my checkout.

From the moment I arrived at the hotel, the front desk service was impeccable. They were very friendly and assisted me with everything, especially Santiago and Jonas. The hotel has a great location and the area is quiet. The breakfast offered is good, and you can freely help yourself to water, coffee, or herbal teas. They offer luggage storage where you can leave your bags after checking out. I stayed in a single room; although small, it was sufficient for me. The bathroom had shower gel, shampoo, and a hairdryer, which was a nice touch. My main issue was that the room got a lot of sun and there was no air conditioning. Otherwise, everything was perfect. If I return and my budget allows, I'd definitely stay again.

The hotel's location is super convenient, right in the city center. The room layout is also great, and the open-air balcony was a pleasant surprise! From the window, you have an unobstructed view of the Trumpeter sculpture, the clock tower, and the entire square. Plus, the hotel breakfast, especially in a high-cost country like Denmark, is absolutely worth it! 😂

The hotel has a very good location, just two minutes from the train station, which makes it very convenient for getting around. The WiFi worked well throughout my stay, and the woman at the front desk was very friendly and welcoming. However, there were several issues that affected my experience. The room itself was okay, but the bed felt quite small—I was honestly worried I might fall out. The wall lamp was also poorly placed, making it easy to hit your head. I chose not to have breakfast at the hotel, as there are cheaper options nearby. The biggest problem was the noise. There was significant roadwork outside starting as early as 7:30 a.m. Due to holes in the road, metal plates had been placed over them, and every time someone walked, cycled, or drove over them, it created very loud banging sounds. It was extremely disruptive and made it difficult to sleep. I initially tried calling reception from the room phone without success, so I used my mobile instead. When I asked to change rooms because of the noise, the response I received was: “It’s a big city, what did you expect?” I found this reply dismissive and unprofessional. I’ve lived in London, so I am well aware of typical city noise—but this was something else entirely. Overall, while the location and WiFi are positives, the noise and the way my concern was handled mean I would not choose to stay here again.

I booked a twin room and chose the upper bunk. The room was a bit cramped, but for a place to just sleep for one night, it was quite comfortable. The self-check-in was convenient and quick, and the staff on duty were very friendly. There's a lounge area, a small bar, and a kitchen near the entrance. It's really great value for money and perfect for a short stay when exploring the city.

The staff was nice and location was good. That’s it! We picked- and paid extra- for a superior double room, and the room was nothing like the pictures! Everytime we’d sit on the sofa, the seats would slide. The bathroom smelt really bad at times. There was a massive crack on the ceiling and the floor was all stained. The shower head wouldn’t screw properly. But essentially, we thought we’d paid for a nicely decorated spacious room with big windows and it was nothing like that. When we spoke to reception, the lady said “Oh you saw the rooms on the right side, you had one on the left side”. Well, maybe put some pictures of the left side so we know it’s a lottery?

Couldn't check in early, but the common areas were super functional, vibrant, and relaxing – really on par with Clink in Amsterdam. While waiting on the 3rd floor, I looked through the floor-to-ceiling windows and saw a full rainbow panorama right in front of me, even spotting people walking on top of it clearly. However, paying an extra 50 DKK for bed linen was ridiculous, especially since it wasn't mentioned during booking! That evening, I asked the front desk if there was hot water, and they said yes, but it would cost 15 DKK per cup. Seriously! For a hostel, not having a communal kitchen or a fridge to store food, and not even providing a kettle, is just unacceptable. I can't consider these facilities to be adequate.

Beautiful, modern and cozy design. Location is near the city center but it's a 10 min walk from the metro. Service is great, love the happy hour drinks. To be honest the room design is nice but not too user friendly particularly the bathroom. Would've loved more towel racks and surfaces to put stuff in the shower. During our stay there was also construction so the shower was very weak. Wasn't too pleased with that.

Excellent value for money hotel. Very well located, just a few hundred meters from Central Station and Tivoli Gardens in the Vesterbro district. The rooms are very clean and the beds are comfortable. I stayed recently with my husband for 2 nites. The WiFi is non existent. We were allocated the attic room, maybe cos of that the wifi signal is v bad. The signal keeps dropping that it gets so frustrating we end up using our own data. Informed reception twice but it’s of no use, nothing is being done to rectify the issue. The overall experience was really nice, someone came to our room to clean and we got new towels. The staircase is long and made me a little bit dizzy. The room was really big and clean, it was warm. There were snacks we could eat after buying and the tv didn’t work. The location is great, 8min walking to the central station.
