Brunei E-Arrival Card: Registration, Requirements and Tips

Author's Profile Picture
**Brunei Arrival Card**

Brunei keeps its arrival process simple, but Filipino visitors still need to complete the free E-Arrival Card before entering. Philippine passport holders may stay visa-free for up to 14 days. Here is how to register through the INRS portal, prepare the right documents, and complete immigration and customs checks at BWN Airport.

❤️Pro Tip: When planning your visit, consider booking flights to Brunei and Brunei hotels in advance to secure the best rates.

What is the Brunei Arrival Card?

What is the Brunei Arrival Card?

The Brunei Arrival Card, officially called the E-Arrival Card, is an online immigration registration form managed by Brunei’s Department of Immigration and National Registration.

It replaced the former paper Form 19 Embarkation and Disembarkation Form. The card collects information such as:

  • Personal and passport details
  • Arrival and departure information
  • Flight, vehicle, or vessel details
  • Accommodation address in Brunei

The portal uses the term Travel Cards in its menu, but the official document is called the E-Arrival Card.

The E-Arrival Card is free. It is not a visa, immigration pass, customs declaration, or guarantee of entry. Immigration officers still make the final decision at the border. Brunei Immigration has also warned travelers that it has not appointed paid agents to process the form.

✈️ Pro Tip: If you are planning a trip soon, look for flights to Brunei early so you can get better prices and more schedule options.

Do Filipino Travelers Need the Brunei E-Arrival Card?

Yes. Filipino travelers must register an E-Arrival Card before entering Brunei, even when using the 14-day visa-free arrangement.

The requirement applies to foreign nationals entering through:

  • Brunei International Airport
  • Land border checkpoints
  • Ferry and sea entry points

It also applies to children and travelers making a short visit or same-day land border trip. Each traveler’s passport and travel information must be registered.

Who Does Not Need the Card?

The card is not required for:

  • Brunei citizens
  • Transit passengers who remain in the international transit area
  • Passengers continuing to another destination without passing through Brunei immigration

If you leave the transit area, collect checked baggage, stay overnight outside the airport, or pass through immigration, you are entering Brunei and must complete the card.

The official launch notice confirms that the requirement applies to foreign nationals entering by air, land, or sea, with an exemption for passengers who transit without entering Brunei.

Do Filipinos Need a Visa for Brunei?

Ordinary Philippine passport holders can enter Brunei without a visa for a visit of up to 14 days.

You may need the appropriate visa or immigration pass if you:

  • Plan to stay longer than 14 days
  • Intend to work in Brunei
  • Will study in Brunei
  • Are entering for a professional assignment
  • Have a passport other than a Philippine passport

Visa-free entry does not give permission to work. The Embassy of Brunei in Manila confirms the 14-day visa-free period for Philippine passport holders.

When Should You Complete the Brunei Arrival Card?

Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque

Complete the E-Arrival Card before arriving in Brunei.

Brunei Immigration encourages foreign travelers to register early but does not publish a strict rule stating that the portal opens only 72 hours before arrival. A practical time to submit the form is around three days before your trip, once your flight and accommodation details are confirmed.

Do not rely on completing it after landing. Airport internet access may be unreliable, and an incomplete registration may delay immigration clearance.

If your flight, departure date, or accommodation changes, you can update your existing Travel Card through the portal.

What to Prepare Before Starting

Have the following information ready:

  • Valid Philippine passport
  • Active email address
  • Arrival and departure dates
  • Flight number or vehicle details
  • Brunei port of entry
  • Hotel or accommodation name
  • Full accommodation address in Brunei
  • Return or onward travel information

For connecting flights, enter the flight number of the aircraft that will land in Brunei. For example, if you fly from Manila to Kuala Lumpur and then to Brunei, use the Kuala Lumpur to Brunei flight number.

🏨 Pro Tip: Don’t forget to look for Brunei hotels near major attractions to make your sightseeing more convenient!

Absolutely perfect experience! The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, just a four or five-minute walk from the high-speed rail station. The food court across the street is also great. It truly meets five-star standards. They were very kind to assign us a high floor with an excellent view!

The location is decent, with the nearest metro station (central station) about a 10-minute walk away. If you rely heavily on public transport, it may not be the most convenient option. We paid a little extra to upgrade to one of the newer rooms on a higher floor, and it was well worth it. The room felt modern and refreshed, with plenty of space to comfortably open three medium-sized suitcases. The overall environment was excellent. If you book a city-view room, you may even catch the fireworks from Tivoli Gardens on selected days. The staff were also friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay.

Because the passport was lost in the Netherlands, I did not stay at this hotel. . . Because the reservation is a non-cancellable room, so I have consulted the customer service of Ctrip with the attitude of trying it out. The customer service actively helps the communication. Because the time difference is still not answered when the phone is not available, I will send a text message to me at the first time. The hotel agreed to deduct the first night's room rate and the rest was refunded. It was really unexpected and happy! Saved me more than 10,000 yuan in losses! I would like to thank Ctrip customer service and thank you for your understanding! I will definitely choose this hotel again next time! Thank you

We had a lovely stay at Admiral Hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable, although a few amenities were missing. The hotel is well-suited for both business and leisure stays, whether you’re traveling as a couple, with friends, or with family. The location is very central, making it easy to explore the city. We especially enjoyed renting bikes from the hotel, which made getting around both fun and convenient. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always available to assist.

Christianshavn Copenhagen|1.25km from city center
My first stay here was great, so I booked another two nights with breakfast after returning from Norway. Everything else was perfect, but the breakfast was a huge letdown. It ended up being the worst breakfast experience of my entire Nordic trip. Firstly, the ingredients weren't fresh. The fruits (watermelon, honeydew, pineapple chunks) and salad (cherry tomatoes) had spoiled spots. They looked okay on the surface, but tasted off once I ate them, forcing me to spit them out. I didn't dare touch them on the second day. It's a shame because this was the only place on my trip that had a chef making omelets fresh, and the food selection was quite extensive. It had the potential to leave a great impression, but the lack of quality control ruined it, leaving the worst impression instead. It's one thing for the fruit not to be freshly cut, but to serve items that have already gone bad, when a simple taste test could have prevented it, is baffling. It made me question the quality of all the other ingredients too. Secondly, the waitstaff repeatedly walked past our table with empty trays, glancing but completely ignoring the dishes waiting to be cleared. Other tables, however, were cleared promptly. Perhaps our table wasn't close enough to the aisle, making it too much trouble for them? This was the only reason I'm deducting a point for service. Overall, the hotel itself is excellent. I just can't recommend the breakfast.

The hotel was really lovely and there was lots of hotel staff on hand ready to help if needed. Which i did on 1 occasion when my key card wasnt working the lift and i got stuck, they called out an engineer that day. Nust make sure that both you key cards work the lift. Also in the rooms just be awear that there is a small step up to the bathroom to stop room flooding, this is a design feature but east to stub toe (needs to be a sticker with a waring sign about small step). The hotel is super conveniently located, just a 5-minute walk from Copenhagen Central Station. The room itself was tiny, with just a bed and a clothes rack, barely enough space to open two suitcases, and no room for anything else. The bathroom was also very small, and the floor would get soaked after a shower. Our room was right outside the kitchen's back door, so it got really noisy at night when staff took out the trash. On the bright side, breakfast had a great variety, including hot food, and tasted good. The gym is in a separate building, which was a nice bonus.

Absolutely, unequivocally fantastic! This place comes highly recommended for anyone on their first solo trip. I arrived super late, around 2 or 3 AM, and while it's a bit of a walk from the metro station, the streets were incredibly quiet, clean, and safe even in the middle of the night. No strange characters or homeless people around (I seriously love Denmark!). The hostel was brightly lit, and there was a front desk attendant, but I opted for self-check-in and headed upstairs. To my surprise, I got a whole room to myself! The view from the window overlooked a beautiful lake. As my first time staying in a hostel alone, this left a really great impression! Copenhagen isn't a huge city, so most places are easily accessible on foot. The cleanliness was decent, but the room was quite small, especially the bathroom. I booked a room and Pon arrival he assured me it was a very small room and he could offer at a discounted rate he invented to a magnificent fantastic room. Sounded good and it turned out to be a very standard double bed in a small room with no sofa, no chair, no nothing extra. Too late now to change back as we wanted to go to bed. I wonder what the other room was like they offered on homepage. Breakfast was charged 50 DDK extra if not reserved day before. No information on this, so just had to pay. Coming back to room late night, no cleaning had been done. I asked and they said it must be requested day before. Information was in the elevator about this. I checked and no information in elevator. Oh, then it is in the room. I checked, no information in the room. However, on the side of the wardrobe I finally found a QR code. If you scanned it, you would get all kinds of information about the hotel and rules. Who has heard of such expectations on any guest anywhere? requesting cleaning in an international hotel??? Reception siad they missed on informing. They said it is Scandic standard and I should know, as if I am expected to be Scandic frequent guest. Rubbish! They say it is for the environment. What environmental gain you get from not making a bed was not explained. I said I expected free breakfast for all issues. In the end, they charged me for that too. For clarity, I have traveled weekly as an international businessman for 30+ years to 123 countries. Never heard such ******** from a hotel reception.

The wooden floorboards were also lovely, and it felt like I had my own little room, allowing me to travel as if I were living there, which made me very happy. Above all, the reception staff were incredibly kind, and I really felt the warmth of Danish people. If you arrive before check-in or have a late flight, train, or bus after check-out, there are plenty of spaces to relax, work, or socialize. Great hotel in city center adjacent to Copenhagen central railway station. Nice room and overall a great service. Breakfast was delicious. If you need to stay in a central location across Tivoli and within a short walking distance from the Walking Street then I can highly recommend staying at Copenhagen Plaza.

I recently stayed at the Scandic Spectrum for 4 nights. On the positive side, the hotel is quite new, exceptionally clean, well-kept, and boasts a really beautiful, modern Scandinavian design. However, the arrival experience was incredibly frustrating. If you arrive before their strict 4:00 PM check-in time, be prepared: there is absolutely no complimentary luggage storage. Instead, they direct you down to a basement parking area with paid storage lockers. To make matters worse for anyone traveling with family, the lockers are way too small to fit standard family-sized suitcases. When we realized that renting multiple lockers would cost virtually the same amount as just paying for an early check-in, we felt completely backed into a corner and paid for the early room. It really felt like a deliberate setup designed to squeeze extra profit out of arriving guests who have no other choice. While the property itself is lovely, this overly transactional, nickel-and-diming approach leaves a very poor first impression. If you have an early arrival, budget extra for the hidden costs or look elsewhere.

Location is quite far away from train station, Ok for summer but not when snowy! One thing to mention is we bumped into a very beautiful wolf when we walked back to the hotel one night. Breakfast is Ok if you are a healthy style preferably. One thing very inconvenient is the two doors of the hotel are both staircase and so it will be very bad when you have a heavy luggage to carry.

Came here based on a recommendation from Xiaohongshu, but I have to say it's more about looks than functionality. The design is really strong, but the actual room functionality for staying here is pretty mediocre. I wouldn't recommend it for business travelers. The room is very dark, only suitable for a leisurely stay. Overall, this hotel feels like it's all style and no substance.

There should be more accurate information about the distance between the Central Station and the Hotel. It must be more than 3km, or at lest feels like this, especially when walking through the narrow and bumpy streets full of people on Saturday evening. Also, it would be nicer if the Hotel stops emailing me so many times before my check-in and after my checkout.

From the moment I arrived at the hotel, the front desk service was impeccable. They were very friendly and assisted me with everything, especially Santiago and Jonas. The hotel has a great location and the area is quiet. The breakfast offered is good, and you can freely help yourself to water, coffee, or herbal teas. They offer luggage storage where you can leave your bags after checking out. I stayed in a single room; although small, it was sufficient for me. The bathroom had shower gel, shampoo, and a hairdryer, which was a nice touch. My main issue was that the room got a lot of sun and there was no air conditioning. Otherwise, everything was perfect. If I return and my budget allows, I'd definitely stay again.

Location is perfect and around 10 minutes walk from the train station. I paid for an upgrade to the Heaven Rooms which was located on the the 9th floor with great view! The service and kindness of each of the people in the front desk was worth mentioning. Two disadvantages: 1. Breakfast was ok, but for the price you pay they could have add some more options, although the view was amazing! 2. The price of the lockers is quite high and unexpected until you see it in the front desk. Other than that it was great and well recommended!!

The room was very clean and convenient. We didn't purchase breakfast, but the hotel offered Too Good To Go (TGTG) surprise bags, which solved our breakfast needs for a small cost. The location is super convenient, just a short walk to tourist attractions, and there's a Burger King and 7-Eleven nearby. You can see the TGTG surprise bags I got during my two-day stay – they were very generous!

This is an older hotel, but all the common areas, including the lobby, restaurant, and corridors, are beautifully decorated. There's even a small garden next to the restaurant, which makes having breakfast there quite pleasant. The room itself is a bit small, and there's no kettle, but the lobby offers free hot water. It's clear they've made efforts to update and improve things to keep up with the times. The breakfast, however, was just okay – the simplest of all the hotel breakfasts I had on this trip, though the bread and cheese quality was decent. So, based on the common areas, it could easily be a 3-star, but the room itself is probably more like 2-star at best.

We really enjoyed our stay at CityHub. We arrived at the hotel early in the morning with hopes to drop off our luggage, we were instead offered a ‘hub’ straight away! The bathrooms and saunas were absolutely lovely, and the beds were very comfy. I enjoyed having a space to stand up within the hubs, and the ability to change the lighting and the music. Overall, I would recommend cityhub to anyone looking for a stay in Copenhagen. You pay significantly less than what you would in a typically hotel, for what I could argue is better service and better quality.

The staff was nice and location was good. That’s it! We picked- and paid extra- for a superior double room, and the room was nothing like the pictures! Everytime we’d sit on the sofa, the seats would slide. The bathroom smelt really bad at times. There was a massive crack on the ceiling and the floor was all stained. The shower head wouldn’t screw properly. But essentially, we thought we’d paid for a nicely decorated spacious room with big windows and it was nothing like that. When we spoke to reception, the lady said “Oh you saw the rooms on the right side, you had one on the left side”. Well, maybe put some pictures of the left side so we know it’s a lottery?

The location is excellent, about a 10-minute walk from Copenhagen Central Station! The shared kitchen, bathrooms, and showers are all clean, and they regularly refill the shampoo and body wash. You can also get cool lemon water in the lounge on the ground floor. The cushions on the bed were by HAY, and the lighting was very stylish. The room was a bit small, but I spent a lot of time in the shared kitchen and lounge, so I was happy with it!

Good location, close to metro station only cross the road. Close to many tourist attractions. Staffs are very nice and try to help as much as they can. Only minis point is it’s a bit noisy at night and early morning if you get the room face to the main road.

Beautiful, modern and cozy design. Location is near the city center but it's a 10 min walk from the metro. Service is great, love the happy hour drinks. To be honest the room design is nice but not too user friendly particularly the bathroom. Would've loved more towel racks and surfaces to put stuff in the shower. During our stay there was also construction so the shower was very weak. Wasn't too pleased with that.

Excellent value for money hotel. Very well located, just a few hundred meters from Central Station and Tivoli Gardens in the Vesterbro district. The rooms are very clean and the beds are comfortable. They offer a delicious breakfast buffet at a very reasonable price for Copenhagen. The staff is very friendly. They also have bike rentals at a good price and a free luggage storage service. I would definitely stay here again.

Overall nice experience. Stayed in a room for three. Hotel is very close to København H station, just 2 mins walk. There is always someone at the front desk 24 hours a day to assist us. The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable, one extra pillow provided. I especially liked the security chain on the door, which made us feel safe. However, the hotel also had some downsides. Since we visited in January when the weather was very cold, the heating in the room was insufficient, making it extremely chilly inside. I sneezed every morning from the cold. And, the bathroom door facing the bed, every time when someone goes to the bathroom mid night, the bright light in the bathroom was blinding. The shower space in the bathroom was also small, and there was no waterproof barrier on the floor to prevent water from spilling out, the entire bathroom floor was slippery after showering. There were three of us, but the hotel only provided two towels and three paper cups, with no toothbrushes or toothpaste. We have to buy it from the front desk for 30dkk. We were also surprised to find that even storing our luggage at the hotel required a fee of 40dkk per hour, so we went to the train station, where we could store our luggage for 24 hours for just 90dkk. If the hotel could resolve the heating issue, I would still recommend it based on its price and convenient location.

It is convenient for tourists which is located opposite to Central Station and Metro station nearby. Room is tidy. Toilet and shower room for each floor is not enough so you need to spend time waiting. No lift to put your luggage upstairs but can store them at their basement with fee.

I stayed recently with my husband for 2 nites. The WiFi is non existent. We were allocated the attic room, maybe cos of that the wifi signal is v bad. The signal keeps dropping that it gets so frustrating we end up using our own data. Informed reception twice but it’s of no use, nothing is being done to rectify the issue. The only saving grace of this hotel is the location which is near train station.

Location was the best part, exactly 5 minutes walk to the station. Everything else was so-so but comfortable. The receptionist guy that check me up was so nice and there were free chocolate available too. The room was small, and it could be a bit loud if u go a window facing the street but they provided ear plugs.

My daughter and I stayed for 5 nights and had a wonderful vacation, enjoying every moment of it. From the very first day, we felt completely at ease. The cleanliness, peaceful atmosphere, and warm welcome made being here one of the best parts of our holiday. The hotel is very clean, safe, and its location is perfect. You can walk to Tivoli, the main shopping street, and the train station in just a few minutes. I can't imagine a better location for exploring Copenhagen. But what truly makes this hotel special are its staff. The entire team at reception was incredibly friendly, genuine, and helpful. Their pleasant conversations and sincere approach always made us feel so good. We didn't feel like guests; it was as if we were staying with long-time friends. If we ever come back to Copenhagen, we wouldn't hesitate to choose Savoy Hotel again. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for making us feel at home. ❤️

The waiter greeted very well and explained the hotel facilities. The location is a bit far away. It would be more convenient to have a private car. The two people gave a large family room. There are two supermarkets nearby. It is very convenient to replenish. The washing machine room also provides washing powder and hangers. The kitchen is large and well-equipped. There are tableware to share. Very suitable for family travel

The stay was good. Recommend to others. Front desk officers were attentive and friendly.  Set-back head up information for other travellers - I were informed by front desk officers if airport transport reservation requested thru them would cost a trip would cost 299kr, and charge much more if I get a taxi myself off the street.  Hotel front desk did the booking for me. But when I reached airport, 354kr (without a receipt) was charged by the taxi driver instead of 299kr.  Lesson learned - a written confirmation is highly recommended, to avoid any dispute. Especially when you don’t want anything to delay your flight!!

The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. However, the closet was small and inconvenient. A hairdryer was provided. There were two beautiful lamps, but nowhere to plug them in. One power outlet didn't work, leaving only one functional outlet to charge a phone. A mini-fridge was also present, but there was no available outlet for it. The TV had a poor signal, though YouTube was accessible. The shared bathroom was very clean, with plenty of hot water, soap, and shampoo. Cleanliness was perfect; our towels were changed. There was no physical staff at the front desk. We encountered an issue with the entry code, which was resolved via the doorbell's intercom system. This place is definitely geared towards tech-savvy guests! I had internet access but no phone signal to receive the SMS confirmation required for online check-in. Luckily, they assisted us via the intercom, and we managed to sort everything out.
