Batam Arrival Card Guide: Requirements and Online Registration

Entering Batam is now easier with the All Indonesia Arrival Card. Instead of completing several separate declarations, Filipino travelers can submit their immigration, customs, health, and quarantine information through one free online form. This guide covers the registration process, entry requirements, QR code, and arrival procedures.

What Is the Batam Arrival Card?

The form commonly called the Batam Arrival Card is officially named the All Indonesia Arrival Card or simply All Indonesia. “AIAC” is not the official name used by the Indonesian government.

The system became mandatory at Batam’s international seaports on September 1, 2025. Since October 1, 2025, it has been required for passengers arriving from abroad at all Indonesian airports and seaports.

All Indonesia combines four declarations in one system:

• Immigration information
• Customs declaration
• Health declaration
• Animal, fish, and plant quarantine declaration

Travelers who complete All Indonesia normally do not need to submit a separate Indonesian electronic customs declaration. The form is free and is not a visa.

Do Filipino Travelers Need the Batam Arrival Card?

Yes. Filipino travelers arriving in Batam from another country must complete the All Indonesia Arrival Card.

The requirement applies to:

• Foreign visitors, including Philippine passport holders
• Indonesian citizens returning from abroad
• Adults and children
• Travelers arriving by ferry or international flight

Each traveler must be included in an individual or group declaration, including accompanying children.

Do Filipinos Need a Visa for Batam?

Filipino citizens using an ordinary Philippine passport can generally enter Indonesia visa-free for eligible tourism visits of up to 30 days. Therefore, most Filipinos visiting Batam for a short holiday do not need to buy a Visa on Arrival.

The visa-free stay:

• Is valid for up to 30 days
• Is free
• Cannot be extended
• Cannot be converted into another type of stay permit

Travelers must present a passport valid for at least six months and a confirmed return or onward ticket. The Philippines remains on Indonesia’s official list of visa-free nationalities.

If you plan to stay longer than 30 days or travel for purposes not covered by visa-free entry, apply for the appropriate Indonesian visa before traveling.

When to Complete the All Indonesia Arrival Card

You can submit the form starting three days before your scheduled arrival in Indonesia and until your arrival day.

However, it is better to complete it one or two days before traveling. This gives you time to check your passport, ferry, and accommodation information before submission.

For example, if you will arrive in Batam on Friday, you can start completing the form from Tuesday.

What You Need Before Completing the Form

Prepare the following information:

• Valid Philippine passport
• Active email address
• Arrival date
• Ferry or flight information
• Batam arrival port or airport
• Hotel name and accommodation address
• Return or onward travel details
• Health information requested in the form
• Details of goods that must be declared
• Information about animals, fish, plants, food, or related products you are carrying

Enter all information exactly as shown on your passport and booking documents.

How to Fill Out the Batam Arrival Card Online

1. Open the Official All Indonesia Website

Visit the official All Indonesia portal or download the official All Indonesia mobile app.

The application is completely free. Avoid websites that charge a service or processing fee.

2. Select Foreign Visitor

Choose the option for “Foreign Visitor” and change the language to English if needed.

Register or sign in using your email address. Foreign visitors may need to enter an OTP sent to the registered email address.

Step 3: Enter Your Personal, Passport, and Visa Details

Enter your information exactly as shown in your passport:

• Full name
• Passport number
• Nationality
• Date of birth
• Gender
• Passport expiry date
• Arrival and departure dates

You will also be asked, “Do you already have a Visa or Stay Permit?”

• Select Yes if you already have an e-VOA, Indonesian visa, KITAS, KITAP, or another valid stay permit. Enter the visa or permit number.
• Select No if you are a Filipino tourist using Indonesia’s 30-day visa-free entry.

Check all passport and visa details carefully before continuing.

Step 4: Add Your Travel and Accommodation Details

Provide the requested transportation and accommodation information:

• Mode of transport
• Flight number
• Purpose of visit
• Port of arrival
• Hotel or accommodation address

If Bali is your first entry point in Indonesia, select I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS).

For a connecting journey, enter the flight number of the final flight that lands in Indonesia. For example, if you fly from Manila to Singapore and then Singapore to Bali, enter the Singapore-to-Bali flight number.

Enter the name and full address of your first accommodation in Bali. If you are staying with family or friends, use the complete address provided by your host.

Step 5: Complete the Health, Quarantine, and Customs Declarations

Answer every declaration truthfully based on your health, baggage, and the items you are bringing into Indonesia.

The declaration section may ask about:

• Current symptoms or recent health conditions
• Recent travel history
• Animals, fish, plants, seeds, fruit, meat, or related products
• Restricted or prohibited items
• Commercial goods
• Goods exceeding the duty-free allowance
• Excess alcohol or tobacco
• Large amounts of cash
• Electronic devices that require customs or IMEI registration

Some products may require inspection, permits, or supporting certificates. If you are unsure about an item, declare it and ask an officer upon arrival.

For passengers arriving by air or sea, the customs declaration is already included in All Indonesia. You do not need to complete the old separate electronic customs declaration.

Step 6: Submit the Form and Save Your QR Code

Review your passport, visa, flight, accommodation, and declaration details before submitting the form.

Once submitted, the system will generate a QR code. Take a screenshot, download the confirmation, and save a copy offline. If you submitted a group application, confirm that every traveler is listed correctly and arrives together.

What to Do When You Arrive in Batam

Arrival procedures may vary slightly between ferry terminals, but Filipino travelers can generally expect the following process:

1. Leave the ferry and follow the signs to immigration.
2. Present your physical Philippine passport.
3. Show your All Indonesia QR code if requested.
4. Answer basic questions about your trip, accommodation, or return journey.
5. Proceed to customs and quarantine inspection.
6. Scan or present the same QR code when instructed.

The system may detect your declaration automatically through your passport. However, keep the QR code ready in case an officer or scanner requires it.

Filipino tourists using visa-free entry do not normally need to visit the Visa on Arrival payment counter for a stay of up to 30 days.

Batam Entry Requirements for Filipino Travelers

Travelers using temporary or emergency travel documents should confirm their visa and entry requirements with the Indonesian Embassy or Immigration before traveling.

Philippine eTravel Requirement

If you are departing from the Philippines, remember to complete the Philippine eTravel declaration within 72 hours before departure. You must also register again before returning to the Philippines.

Use only the official Philippine eTravel website. Registration is free.

Tips for Filipino Travelers Visiting Batam

• Use only the official website. The correct All Indonesia website ends in imigrasi.go.id.
• Do not pay for the arrival card. All Indonesia registration is free.
• Save the QR code offline. Ferry-terminal internet connections can be weak.
• Check your ferry terminal carefully. Batam has several international terminals, so select the one shown on your ticket.
• Keep your return ticket ready. Indonesian immigration may ask to see proof that you will leave within the permitted stay.
• Carry your hotel confirmation. Save the hotel name, address, and booking confirmation on your phone.
• Declare restricted items honestly. Failure to declare controlled goods may result in inspection, fines, or confiscation.
• Bring Indonesian Rupiah. Cards are accepted at many hotels and malls, but smaller shops, local transport, and food stalls may prefer cash.
