Free Sleeping Areas at Changi Airport

Free Snooze Lounge

For Filipino travelers on a budget, Changi Airport has free snooze lounges and rest areas where you can nap without spending a peso. Most are inside the Departure Transit Hall, so they are best for passengers with connecting flights or those already checked in.

Terminal 1

  • Location: Level 3, Departure Transit Hall East
  • Good for a quiet nap if your flight is from T1

Terminal 2

  • Sanctuary Lounge: Level 2, Departure Transit Hall North Pier, opposite E5
  • Oasis Lounge: Level 2, Departure Transit Hall North Pier, opposite E11
  • Pavilion Lounge: Level 2, Departure Transit Hall South Pier, opposite F33

Terminal 3

  • A convenient rest spot if you are flying from T3 or transiting nearby

Terminal 4

  • Location: Level 2M, Departure Transit Hall

Best Free Spots Near the Gates

If the snooze lounges are full, look for quiet corners near less crowded boarding gates. Choose areas with fewer people walking around, nearby toilets, and charging points. Some gates also have long benches or softer seats where you can rest for a short while.

Paid Sleeping Options at Changi Airport

The hotel is super convenient, just a 5-minute walk from the airport exit. The room was quite spacious. After dropping off my luggage, I headed straight to Changi Airport for some shopping and dining – it's all connected via a walkway, which was really handy. The next morning after checking out, I stored my bags and went sightseeing in the city, which was also very easy to do. In the afternoon, I returned to the hotel and asked the front desk for an elevator card to access the third-floor swimming pool. Having a shower and a swim there was such great value for money! When it was time, I went to check in for my flight. Definitely recommend this place!

Ambassador Transit Lounge, Changi Airport Terminal 3 – Trip Review During my recent visit to the Ambassador Transit Lounge at Singapore Changi Airport’s Terminal 3, I found it to be a generally comfortable and functional space, though there were a few notable drawback Ambiance and Comfort: The lounge is clean and modern, with comfortable seating and a calm atmosphere conducive to relaxation. However, the lounge’s relatively small size became a limitation during my visit. With a higher number of guests at that time, finding a preferred seating spot was somewhat challenging, and the space felt cramped. Additionally, a few guests were not mindful of social etiquette, which detracted slightly from the otherwise pleasant environment. Amenities and Services: Facilities such as Wi-Fi, charging stations, reading materials, and shower amenities were all available and well-maintained. These essential services are functional and convenient for transit travelers. Signage for key facilities could be clearer to enhance ease of use, particularly for first-time visitors. Food and Beverage: The lounge offered a modest selection of snacks and beverages. While sufficient for a short stay, the variety and quality are limited compared to larger or premium lounges at Changi. Service Quality: Staff were professional, courteous, and attentive. Check-in and general assistance were handled efficiently, contributing positively to the overall experience. Value for Transit Travelers: The lounge serves its purpose well for travelers seeking a quiet place to rest during a short layover. However, for those expecting more space, privacy, or extensive dining options, alternative lounges may provide a more complete experience. Overall Assessment: The Ambassador Transit Lounge at Terminal 3 is a clean, comfortable, and functional transit option. Its smaller size and occasional lack of guest etiquette can be a drawback during busy periods, but the lounge remains a convenient choice for short-term relaxation. Rating: ★★★ / 5

This place in the transit lounge was just perfect for a longer layover. I was very lucky to be upgraded to the actual hotel and it just what I needed to get some rest. It had all the amenities you could need and the room was warm and cosy. The breakfast was one of the best lounge breakfasts I’ve had too! Would definitely recommend!

We had a very comfortable stay at Yotelair Singapore Changi Airport. The location is extremely convenient, especially for travellers with an overnight transit or early/late flight. The room was clean, compact, and well designed, with everything we needed for a short rest. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and the staff were helpful. It was a bit pricey, but very worth it for the convenience and comfort inside the airport. Highly recommended for transit travellers.

We have a transit flight at T2 but decided to book the Aerotel at T1 because of the twin room availability. Extended hour of stay can be requested upon check in. The front desk service was very pleasant. The hotel is closed to the train access to other terminals. The room is very cleaned, spacious and the surrounding is quiet. I would definitely recommend the transit hotel to anyone who has transit flights to catch and need a place to rest.
