"Pros: The hotel's location is excellent, with a wide variety of dining options nearby, so you never have to worry about food. Downstairs, there's a McDonald's, a Luckin Coffee, and a large food court with all sorts of snacks. It's lively even at night, and there are local open-air food stalls (dai pai dong) nearby where you can enjoy seafood. The amenities are incredibly convenient. You can walk to May Fourth Square and other attractions. Cons: In contrast, the hotel's service and facilities are quite disappointing. First, the service is incomplete; housekeeping failed to replenish essential toiletries like shower gel when cleaning the room. Second, the soundproofing in the rooms is poor; you can clearly hear everything happening in the hallway, which is very noisy. The worst part is the sleep experience and the hygiene of the bedding. The bed quality isn't as comfortable as advertised online, and the pillows are soft and unsupportive. Even more unacceptable, I experienced itching after one night's sleep, which made me seriously question the hygiene of the bedding. Overall, the value for money is just average. I hope management can address the hygiene and service issues."

"The location is the biggest advantage, right next to Shilaoren Beach, which is super convenient for families with young children to play in the sand and waves. You can just head straight back to your room to wash off the sand, saving a lot of hassle. We stayed for three nights, one king room and one twin room, costing a little over 10,000 RMB. The facilities were decent. The lobby was spacious, the room layout was good, and the sea view was generous. We arrived late at night, but check-in was quick. The concierge was enthusiastic, helping us combine beds, arranging a bed rail, and ensuring both rooms were on the same floor and close by – these details were well handled. Breakfast was neither amazing nor terrible. During peak season, there was a queue, but it was orderly. One minor detail was a bit uncomfortable: our baby wasn't feeling well from the new environment, and we wanted to take a dragon fruit to go, but were stopped. We were told it had to be cut and eaten on the spot. While rules are rules, compared to the flexibility we experienced at the Seaview Garden Hotel later, there was definitely a difference in service flexibility. The lunch buffet was over 200 RMB. My in-laws took our baby and gave positive feedback – they had caviar yogurt and fresh seafood. There was no free self-service laundry, which was quite inconvenient for families with kids, as hand-washing clothes for several consecutive days is tiring. In summary: If your main priority is easy access to the beach for playing in the sand, you can choose this hotel. Just don't set your expectations too high; it's generally above average."

The gym wasn't big either, with limited equipment. Overall, I'd say it was just okay."

The environment of the park is beautiful, and the garden and leisure area are very suitable for drinking tea in a daze. The butler is very enthusiastic, the check-in guidelines are clear, and he will give local play suggestions. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, quiet and comfortable, whether it is a family trip or a small gathering of friends is very suitable. The stay was very comfortable, I really recommend it to friends who come to Huangdao to see the sea! Good food, good shot and good live!"

Many five-star hotels offer this nowadays, and asking guests to pick up their own deliveries feels a bit outdated for current service standards. Everything else was perfect. In summary: As I told Elly, I'll definitely be staying here every time I visit Qingdao."
