"This hotel far exceeded my expectations. First off, the location is fantastic. It's right at the intersection of Zhongshan Road, with Gulangyu Island directly across, making it super convenient to get to all the attractions. The breakfast on the 7th-floor, sea-view restaurant is semi-buffet and absolutely wonderful. The hotel rooms have been recently renovated. While not huge, the layout is very well-designed. The extra-large round bathtub was a huge hit with the kids. They have smart toilets, Dyson hairdryers, and even the TV screen mirroring was incredibly smooth. The service was also excellent, with a small detail that really stood out. I washed some clothes at the hotel and found a spot to hang them to dry. The next day, housekeeping brought me a drying rack and even hung up my clothes for me. This is the most thoughtful service I've ever experienced in any hotel. All in all, I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Xiamen!"

"An excellent location near the island ferries. Well worth paying for the sea view. However there is one massive problem which will stop me staying here again. There is no fridge in the rooms! It is hard to believe, but true. How can the hotel think that people might not want to come back to their room and enjoy a cold beer or bottle of wine or whatever as they sit and watch the island ferries. Sure you can buy cold drinks in the convenience store but it’s not the same as picking your own good wine or craft beer from somewhere else. I’m also a fan of cold chocolate!"

"It was truly terrible. The bedsheets were damp and yellowish-white, the bedding felt wet and only partially dried, and the bed was full of bedbugs. In reality, the only good thing is the location. I will never stay at this hotel again and I highly recommend that others avoid it too. The night I spent here was absolutely horrible."

"The hotel lobby offers coffee, and since it was June 1st (Children's Day), they gave out toy cars to the kids, which was a nice touch. The room was comfortable, and we stayed for several days. The restaurant on the top floor is a revolving one, which is very unique and offers great views. The breakfast selection was quite rich, but you need to go early for more choices."

During check-in, the front desk proactively upgraded our room, which offered a more expansive view. The decor was simple yet grand, incorporating Fujianese elements, making for a very comfortable stay. The room was fully equipped, the bedding was soft, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a solid night's sleep. The service was always available, prompt, and unobtrusive – attention to detail was evident everywhere. Upon check-out, we received a thoughtful little gift from the hotel: some childhood snacks and a special local drink, which was a lovely touch. As a landmark hotel in the area, the Paragon Hotel and Resort excels in both its facilities and service. It will definitely be my top choice for entertaining friends or for a short personal stay in the future ❤️"

It takes more than 20 minutes to drive to Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street. There are many places to eat around. Takeaways are delivered upstairs. The service is also very good. "This hotel experience far exceeded my expectations, absolutely five stars! From the moment I walked in, the front desk offered hot towels and welcome tea, and check-in was efficient and friendly. The room was more spacious than I imagined, the bedding was soft and dry, the bathroom fixtures were high-end brands, and the toiletries were niche herbal scented products. The biggest surprise was the attention to detail: there were sleep-aid earplugs by the bed, and the shower had stable water pressure with instant hot water. The freshly made wontons and freshly ground coffee at breakfast were absolutely delightful. At check-out, they even proactively asked if I needed bottled water for the road. They truly delivered on 'service before the guest even asks.' I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit this city."
