The service from check-in to check-out was impeccable; all the staff were enthusiastic and thoughtful, especially Claire, who was professional and meticulous throughout. We opted to dine at the hotel for dinner; the Peking duck needs to be pre-ordered, as it's roasted fresh in an open oven, and it's definitely worth trying. The hotel itself perfectly blends Nanyang retro charm with modern chic. Every photo you take looks like a high-quality shot, and my friend and I could easily spend a whole day here without going out, especially to avoid the sun. They even had handicraft activities during the summer; I hope to experience them next time!"

"I honestly think this is the best value-for-money hotel I've ever stayed at in the entire country. When I checked in, they gave me a free upgrade to a really comfortable room. Plus, the screen mirroring even comes with a Tencent VIP membership, and the service is incredibly attentive. The breakfast easily rivals that of a four-star hotel. Their pick-up and drop-off service from the station is also excellent; they even reimburse you if you take a taxi to and from Xiamen North Station yourself. I'm actually worried the owner isn't making any money! Definitely a five-star review!!!"

Kempinski Hotel Xiamen
"The bed in this hotel is absolutely unbearable, it felt like a thin mattress on a hard wooden board. When I asked the staff, they said all the beds were like this. I really hope Trip.com would properly evaluate hotels before assigning star ratings, as I've never slept on such a terrible bed. It's completely inconsistent with what you'd expect from a 5-star hotel. I've stayed in many hotels, and none had a bed like this. On top of that, the hotel facilities are old. There was a constant rumbling sound, like a subway passing by, which I suspect was the air conditioning unit's outdoor compressor vibrating. It wasn't extremely loud, but it felt like it was right next to my ear, and it persisted even after turning off the AC. I barely slept all night. If you have trouble sleeping, do not stay here. This bed is the kind that won't let anyone sleep in; my child woke up before 5 AM! This was the worst experience ever! The rating for this place is definitely too high!"

"Had a wonderful stay! The hotel upgraded us to a sea-view room and even included two days of free breakfast for the kids. The room also had a bathtub, and breakfast was quite plentiful. Before we left, we even got to try the complimentary簪花 (traditional flower hairpin-making), and it turned out beautifully, much to our surprise."
