My stay in the Classic Suite during Chinese New Year 2026 was a delightful surprise. Six months later, returning to Qishan and staying in a Harbour Suite, I felt both the familiarity of reuniting with an old friend and the fresh amazement brought by the hotel's thoughtful adjustments. For nearly a year now, I've maintained a frequency of staying at one of the four Qishan Group hotels once or twice a month. Qishan has become my home away from home, my second sanctuary. The healing I've experienced here post-surgery and the tangible improvement in my physical well-being over this past year, I believe, serve as a powerful testament to Qishan's efficacy as a wellness hotel. What Qishan has shown me over the past six months isn't grand, unnecessary embellishments, but rather continuous adjustments and optimizations of the smallest details. Six months isn't a long time, yet it's enough for a progressive hotel to evolve, though it's not uncommon to see many hotels remain stagnant. The moment I opened the room door, I could sense the efforts Qishan had made in many unseen areas over this period. Firstly, let's talk about the hardware. Qishan's integration of hospitality with ESG/sustainability continues. I noticed that compared to six months ago, all guest amenities in the bathroom have been replaced with sustainable, eco-friendly materials, including but not limited to recyclable paper packaging. Regarding environmental protection, many instinctively raise questions about 'cost reduction and efficiency improvement,' but Qishan has actually upgraded the quality of in-room amenities – from regular Colgate toothpaste to Lebon toothpaste in paper packaging. The new paper eco-packaging feels more premium and substantial when used and torn open than the old packaging. For crucial water-soluble and moisture-sensitive products like bath salts, Qishan hasn't cut corners by reducing their seal; instead, they've consistently chosen outer paper and inner plastic packaging to provide an extra layer of protection and a better feel. Modern businesses emphasize sustainable development, and I personally find the feeling of being environmentally friendly to be a form of healing. After all, isn't extravagant wastefulness, especially the neglect of limited resources, a psychological burden when we reflect on it? Qishan is not only environmentally responsible but also commendable for its attention to detail! If I remember correctly, six months ago, the hairdryer cord in Qishan's rooms was wrapped around the Dyson stand. This visit, I noticed the hairdryer cord was neatly stored and organized, with a cable tie enhancing its visual appeal. This attention to detail at Qishan extends to caring for people, which is where my emotional connection to the hotel lies. For this stay, from the moment the thought 'I want to stay at Qishan again' crossed my mind until check-out, the Qishan team members were seamlessly coordinated. Our butler partners, Chloe and Echo, meticulously pre-planned my in-house experience, booked activities I might be interested in, and carefully listened to my needs. Their synergy with Molly, who handled my check-in, was exceptional, saving me unnecessary effort and hassle for a 'smooth check-in.' What moved me even more was when Guest Relations Manager Ms. Linda learned I felt unwell after a wine gathering yesterday and promptly brought me hot honey water. Even without me explicitly asking, the team clearly remembered my personalized preferences and habits. Linda and Echo thoughtfully prepared horse-year bookmarks for me. This genuine and sensitive interpersonal communication, and the comfortable interaction with the staff, I believe, are powerful strengths of Qishan as a wellness hotel. This meticulous humanistic care naturally extends to all dining and travel scenarios, including my time when I'm not staying at the hotel. The dining experience at Xia Restaurant remains an excellent palate-pleasing therapy. Eating seasonally and locally, Xia Restaurant's dishes align with the hotel's consistent ESG principles and creatively break the stereotype that Fujian cuisine is only steamed or blanched. The ingredients are incredibly familiar, but the innovative fusion of flavors is fresh. Chef Yang's skill is undeniably profound. I'd also like to thank tea master Xiao Lin for her attentive and thoughtful service during my meal. Driver Master Zhang. Master Zhang, who drives the Rolls-Royce, is exceptionally steady and thorough. This was my third time riding with him, and the journey was smooth and safe. Moreover, Master Zhang is very conversant; he can discuss anything from a small hotel transfer experience and itinerary to reflections on life with great eloquence. He drives attentively when it's quiet and engages in conversation naturally. He's a friend I have at Qishan. Even when not staying, I often relax and work at the Long Bar. Although not directly related to this stay, I still want to especially thank my friends at the Long Bar. A 27-yuan kombucha a day didn't lessen their care and attention towards me. Thank you for embracing me as part of the hotel's daily operations. They are Mandy, Ada, Sunny Chen Yuanyuan, Kiki... Finally, I also want to thank General Manager Yang and General Manager Zhu, who check in on me from time to time. Like the other hotel colleagues, they are an indispensable part of my 'life' at Qishan. In six months, Qishan has once again given me an unspoken answer through these subtle adjustments and the warmth of human connection. So, nothing special, just as satisfied as always, and I hope everyone enjoys Qishan as much as I do.

The hotel environment is impeccable, with spacious public areas and beautiful birdsong and flowers. Perched on a hill, I was woken up every morning around 5 or 6 by the chirping of various birds. It's about a 15-minute walk to Xiamen University and Putuo Temple, though it's uphill and a bit tiring, but taxis are quite convenient. The room was also very large, with a bedroom offering a distant view of the rooftops of Xiamen University. All in-room facilities were well-equipped. While I wouldn't delve too deeply into the cleanliness details, it was acceptable, but the sound of water running from the rooms above or next door was particularly noisy. The service was excellent, with prompt responses to all requests! Overall, I was satisfied, with one exception: the breakfast was too basic. It felt like it cost less than five yuan to make, truly the most perfunctory breakfast I've ever had in decades of staying at hotels. We ended up ordering takeout for the kids for both days, so I don't think it's worth booking a rate that includes breakfast. I'd like to offer a suggestion to the hotel: with such a great location and environment, it should strive for perfection by putting more thought into improving the breakfast. For tourists, a hearty breakfast is truly important. If a buffet isn't feasible due to cost-cutting, at least the set menu could be more varied, instead of just offering a bowl of congee and one or two pre-made buns every day, which is quite unappetizing.

This B&B is absolutely beautiful! It's very close to the sea, and the rooms are wonderfully quiet – you can't hear any outside noise. The view from the window, with trees and the ocean, is incredibly relaxing and therapeutic. The reception service was exceptionally nice; even before I stepped onto the B&B's doorstep, a staff member rushed out to help us with our luggage. Every single staff member (including the auntie who cleaned the rooms!) was soft-spoken and very gentle. The breakfast was also delicious! I booked for three nights, and every morning I woke up to a different breakfast spread. You can tell this B&B genuinely takes pride in itself and truly cares about every guest who stays here! Highly recommend!!

Choosing to stay at the Conrad during this Xiamen trip exceeded all my expectations! Located high up in the Twin Towers, the 38th-floor lobby offers expansive views. During check-in, the front desk staff warmly and proactively greeted us. Learning that it was our first time in Xiamen, they thoughtfully recommended itineraries and shared useful travel tips for Shapowei and Gulangyu—such a heartwarming touch of detail. I hadn't realized when booking that the rooms have different views—the Egret Island (Lutao) view overlooks the cityscape, but we decisively upgraded to an ocean-view room. The room was impeccably clean, and the bedding was soft and pristine. The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offered breathtaking views; by day, you can gaze out at the coastline, and by dusk, watch the city lights gradually flicker on. Experiencing the sea from the clouds is truly therapeutic. Throughout the stay, the service was professional and gentle, with fast responses to any requests. Whether it was travel advice or room service, everything felt reassuring. I highly recommend this hotel for a vacation in Xiamen and will definitely choose to stay here again next time!

The rooms were nice and staff pleasant, but for an international hotel I expected some signs in English. I wanted to use the gym and pool and was told it opened at 9am on 5th floor, but when I went to 5th floor after 9am nothing was opened and there was nobody about to ask. In addition, the other guests were really loud late at night and early in morning. There was also lots of noise coming from street late at night which cited be heard in my room.

This hotel is closest to Piano Wharf and not far from Sanqiutian Wharf. It's very close to the shore, yet tucked away in a quiet spot. On the way, you'll pass the Gulangyu Museum. My room was on the first floor and was well-decorated and very clean. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Langham Xiamen and were particularly impressed by the warmth and genuine hospitality of the team. A special mention must go to Linda from Housekeeping. She was attentive, thoughtful and took great care in ensuring our room was always comfortable and beautifully maintained. It was the small details and her genuine willingness to help that made a real difference to our stay. We would also like to recognize Jaime from the Club Lounge, who was outstanding throughout our visit. Jaime was warm, professional and attentive, and consistently made us feel very welcome. The level of personal service provided in the lounge was one of the highlights of our stay. The hotel itself was comfortable and elegant, but ultimately it is the people who make a hotel memorable. Linda and Jaime are excellent examples of the hospitality that we associate with the Langham brand. Thank you to the entire team for looking after us so well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return to Langham Xiamen in the future.

The hotel is right next to the subway station, making it incredibly convenient for transportation. Sandy at the front desk was very welcoming and provided excellent service. The room was quite spacious, well-equipped, with comfortable bedding and a beautiful view. Our private butler and cleaning attendant, Auntie Ye, was incredibly thoughtful. She provided a complimentary bubble bath, thoroughly disinfected all the bathroom fixtures, supplied almost every toiletry imaginable, and even offered a selection of different pillows. She also promptly reported any facility issues for repair. Additionally, she gave us Xiamen souvenirs, offered bedtime drinks like hot milk and chrysanthemum tea, and thoughtfully turned down our bed with lavender aromatherapy. The executive lounge was refined and had a great atmosphere, with a wide variety of food and drinks. The bartender at the lobby bar on the first floor was very approachable, and they also offered a range of beverages and snacks. A complimentary laundry service was provided once a day. Breakfast was extensive and unique. Overall, a fantastic stay!

On my third day in Xiamen, I chose to stay at the Portman Qixingwan Xihai Hotel🏨! The entire hotel complex is huge, with a strong French ambiance. The room decor is very new, exquisitely furnished and beautiful, clean and tidy, making for a very comfortable stay. The service is excellent, staff are friendly, and requests are handled quickly. It's very close to the beach, within walking distance, and it's especially pleasant to feel the sea breeze in the evening. Overall, it was a great holiday experience, and I'll choose this place again next time I visit Xiamen!

Le Méridien Xiamen Garden View Balcony King Room Stay Review: A Healing Retreat Amidst a Full House The sky had already darkened upon arrival. Winding our way up the tree-lined paths of Xian'gueshan Mountain, the air gradually became moist and cool. It felt like a magical escape from the bustling, humid city, into a 'city oasis' nestled in the mountains. The moment I opened the room door after checking in, the fatigue from the journey instantly melted away. Room | A Mountain Holiday Opened by a Courtyard The room felt very spacious, with a layout of about 40 square meters that was just right. What surprised me the most, naturally, was the exquisite private balcony. Le Méridien's room types each offer different views, and I chose the garden view balcony room specifically for a quiet, relaxing stay. After all, in a mountain setting surrounded by dense vegetation, a few insects are perfectly normal, and the garden view neatly sidestepped that issue. Opening the window in the morning, the lush green central courtyard came into view. Instead of the city's hustle and bustle, I heard the crisp, pleasant chirping of morning birds and the sweet, fresh air blowing from the mountains. I couldn't help but close my eyes and take several deep breaths. Returning to the room in the evening, I lay on the balcony chair, clearing my mind, sipping an iced cola while enjoying the mountain breeze—this is exactly what a vacation should be like. The room's hardware can be summed up in two words: solid and reliable. Beyond being clean and tidy, the 'rainforest' shower's stable water pressure and temperature were truly impressive. The hotel also thoughtfully implemented a dry-wet separation in the bathroom, completely eliminating the awkwardness of worrying about splashing the toilet while showering. The experience was very comfortable and smooth. The bedding, as always, maintained Le Méridien's high standards, soft, fluffy, and supportive, allowing me to sleep soundly until I woke up naturally. Environment | French Romance Hidden in the Mountains If the guest room brought surprise, then the entire hotel environment was stunning. Le Méridien Xiamen's location is meticulously chosen, nestled charmingly on the mountainside of Xian'gueshan. The overall architectural style leans towards a resort villa, so secluded and tranquil that it doesn't feel like it's in the bustling downtown area of the island. Compared to many coastal hotels that face the humidity and noise of sea winds, the mountain landscape here truly provides another level of spiritual enjoyment. The hotel's artistic atmosphere, from the corridors to the public spaces, everywhere you can feel the unique imprint of French aesthetics. Whether it's the artistic flair of the chandeliers or the fragrance in the lobby, everything constantly reminds me that I'm staying in a stylish Le Méridien. The dense vegetation surrounding the hotel makes it feel like living in a natural oxygen bar. A morning jog in Xian'gueshan Park, enjoying the pleasure of sweating freely in the mountains, is a unique experience that you can never feel in a hotel gym. Service and Details | Thoughtfulness Hidden in Every Detail The staff, from the front desk to the concierge, maintained a perfectly measured, welcoming smile. During check-in, the front desk lady patiently asked about my preferences. Knowing that I valued privacy and quiet, she specifically helped arrange a room set apart from other guests on the same floor, handling everything gently and efficiently, which was truly heartwarming. The hotel also provides a free shuttle bus service down the mountain, making it convenient to travel to the Seaworld shopping center and Dongdu Ferry Terminal. On weekends and holidays, there's even a free shuttle bus connecting to popular attractions like Zhongshan Road and Baicheng Beach. One evening, a guest was inconsiderately skipping rope upstairs; after calling the front desk, they responded immediately and resolved the issue quickly! Truly commendable! Conclusion On the day of check-out, the morning sun still gently warmed the garden view balcony, as if possessing a magic that made me reluctant to close the door and leave. To be honest, I've stayed in many hotels, but rarely have I felt such a pang of reluctance upon departure as this time. It embodies the entire mountain forest, yet never strays from the human world, truly interpreting the beautiful realm of 'hidden in the bustling city, yet nestled in the mountains.' If you long for a tranquil vacation experience, listening to the wind on the mountainside, then Le Méridien Xiamen's Garden View Balcony King Room is definitely worth unlocking!
