Ffernanda9The room was very clean and the environment was quiet. Xiao Bai (the staff) was very nice and upgraded us to a higher room category. Before we left, they even gave our child some small seashells, which was a very thoughtful touch.
The hotel breakfast was delicious, especially the Shacha noodles, which were tastier than any we'd had in the days before arriving on the island. The complimentary lunch included in the package was also very good, though the yellow croaker was a bit small, just one tiny fish.
At the end of September, when tourist traffic wasn't heavy, we arrived on the island at 11 AM. The shuttle service was perfectly arranged, helping us avoid the scorching sun. We later found out that a shuttle ride on the island costs 50 RMB per person, so for our family of three, we saved a good 150 RMB.
Most of the snacks on the island were just okay, but the Dayang Restaurant was quite good.
If you have the time, staying on the island is definitely recommended. You can avoid the midday sun and take your kids to play by the beach in the afternoon. Strolling around the island in the evening makes this a very high-value-for-money place.
Xiamen offers a resort experience similar to Sanya, yet also gives you the illusion of wandering through the streets and alleys of a small Hong Kong or Macau island.

WWan SuwanThe apartment location is in good environment, going around with taxi is fair enough, however, the building itself doesn't exist on the map, only the neighbor one does, which made us difficult to find the right building when we first arrived, plus we have no idea that the check in room, is one of the room on the 5th floor, as in the address of the hotel, it just put room 501, 521 Gaolin Road, etc. I recommend to give more details to ease the check-in of the hotel description like, 'when arrive, please contact room 501 on the 5th floor to check in', also, the hotel should pin the exact building location on the map, otherwise, guests may get lost on first arrive like us, whereas people around don't speak English to help too.
The apartment itself is clean and in good condition with good space & layout. Facilities are good enough, except, the kitchen is kind of waste because there is no kitchenette at all, they only provide bottle water, glasses/paper cup & electric kettle in the kitchen, in which we expect a hotel apartment should have at least some kitchenette like tableware, cutlery, pot or pan (as they have electric stove) and at least a microwave oven & dishwashing liquid, which partly why we choose to stay in the apartment rather than normal hotel. This is one of the upset issues that we have for this stay.
The breakfast comes as McDonald's breakfast coupon consists of one small Berger & a drink, which is fine as McDonald is on the street level of the building itself.
Plus thing is that we can request for more bottle water & the disposable towel with no additional cost. Although the disposable towel is not so good to use as towel, they are still acceptable & hygienic, so, if you want more comfort, I suggest, bring your own towel. The washer works well, no dryer, but they provide hanger with drying space where there are windows open.
The nearest large shopping center, Wanda Plaza, is nearby, taxi costs only ~CNY10, where you can find lots of restaurants & Walmart, etc.
In overall, this property is good & worth of money.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel environment is impeccable, with spacious public areas and beautiful birdsong and flowers. Perched on a hill, I was woken up every morning around 5 or 6 by the chirping of various birds. It's about a 15-minute walk to Xiamen University and Putuo Temple, though it's uphill and a bit tiring, but taxis are quite convenient. The room was also very large, with a bedroom offering a distant view of the rooftops of Xiamen University. All in-room facilities were well-equipped. While I wouldn't delve too deeply into the cleanliness details, it was acceptable, but the sound of water running from the rooms above or next door was particularly noisy. The service was excellent, with prompt responses to all requests! Overall, I was satisfied, with one exception: the breakfast was too basic. It felt like it cost less than five yuan to make, truly the most perfunctory breakfast I've ever had in decades of staying at hotels. We ended up ordering takeout for the kids for both days, so I don't think it's worth booking a rate that includes breakfast. I'd like to offer a suggestion to the hotel: with such a great location and environment, it should strive for perfection by putting more thought into improving the breakfast. For tourists, a hearty breakfast is truly important. If a buffet isn't feasible due to cost-cutting, at least the set menu could be more varied, instead of just offering a bowl of congee and one or two pre-made buns every day, which is quite unappetizing.

NNANA@The room was very spacious, and the little decorative items inside were thoughtfully designed. Daily necessities were fully provided. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. When I ordered food delivery, a robot helped deliver it directly to my room. The outdoor environment was quiet and not noisy at all. The bed was large and very comfortable to sleep in. There was also a free shuttle bus to the airport that could be reserved in advance, which was very convenient.

The only thing is the price fluctuates quite a bit; it was 270 for two rooms on the first day, but 360 for two rooms by the third day. The soundproofing is usually good, but yesterday, May 20th, everyone might have been too excited because the room next door was a bit noisy. Other than that, everything else was fine.

It's right next to Zhonghua City, and just a 5-minute walk to Zhongshan Road, though I wouldn't recommend Zhongshan Road as the environment isn't great. The Botanical Garden, Huli Mountain Fortress, Xiamen University, Baicheng Beach, the Coastal Road, and the 'Sea View of Kinmen' tour from Heping Wharf are all worth visiting. Definitely avoid the offshore cruises recommended by people on the street – they're usually from sketchy companies. Breakfast offered a good variety, but the soy milk and fried dough sticks were a bit cold, and I couldn't get used to the duck blood in the oyster vermicelli soup.

GGuest UserThis hotel stay was absolutely perfect! The breakfast was definitely the highlight – a wide variety of freshly cooked hot dishes, all very flavorful. The self-service egg-frying experience was especially enjoyable; you get to choose the eggs and control their doneness entirely on your own, making it both fresh and fun. Paired with porridge and their multigrain drinks, it was incredibly satisfying. The location is also impeccable, right next to the California Shopping Plaza, making shopping and dining super convenient without any planning. Even better, parking is fantastic – plenty of spaces and easy access. Just register your license plate at the front desk and it's free, eliminating a major concern for those driving. Overall, the service was attentive, the environment clean and comfortable, exceeding all expectations. It's excellent value for money, and I've already recommended it to my friends. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time!

GGuest UserHotel is located in strategic location. It is very close to department store, walking street and metro station line 1. Hotel offers adequate breakfast and hot food. The room is comfy with big bathroom. The only downside of this hotel is no sound proof. I heard every noises from street horn, upstair, downstair and the worst of this trip was... my room is next to fire exit and house keeping room in the 3rd floor.
This was so so annoying and was interrupt with my sleep every night!!!

It was great to relax there after a day out. The robot delivery service for takeaways to the room was super convenient. The location is excellent too; it's right by Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, perfect for an evening stroll after dinner.
