Posted onMay 22, 2025|38th Floor Sea-View Room with Tub
Guest UserThis was our first time vacationing in Xiamen, Fujian. Due to short time confirmation , we had to confirm the hotel accommodation in midnight . But this guesthouse was surprised.
First, it’s located on 37th floor with a sea view, offering a peaceful and scenic environment. The unique unit features a large indoor bathtub, which is quite impressive. The room is equipped with a projector, a Dyson hairdryer, and an automatic toilet. The bathroom shower has stable hot and cool water with powerful pressure. The guesthouse service was sufficient to meet the needs of two people; since our trip was 3 days and 2 nights, they provided extra daily necessities and toiletries. They also gave special recommendations for nearby takeout food options and transportation, so there was no worry about being unfamiliar with the area.
Some key points need to be considered, if you are visiting Xiamen Island mainly for sightseeing and have specific time and transport requirements, you might need to make some compromises. Besides calling a taxi, the only option is the Bus Rapid Transit (BTR) and going out takes more than an hour or even longer. The BRT is often crowded with no seats available, and calling a taxi costs over RMB 70 one way for two days.
I was very satisfied with the vacation. The room was distinctive, and other units even have family-friendly facilities. It was quiet and comfortable, with a long beach nearby suitable for cycling and other activities.

This bed and breakfast is situated in a very serene, personable little fishing village in a comfortable and relaxing environment.
The owner was very, very nice, from check-in to departure, the service was attentive beyond expectations.
He helped us with many, many things, whether it was packing luggage, doing laundry, hailing a car, buying tickets, or showing us where to eat and how to walk without detours, all with care and patience.
If you have any questions, just ask, we will definitely help you solve them. We are really grateful.
The boss is enthusiastic, sincere, and will take the initiative to provide many very practical tips, making the whole trip much easier, completely have a ”someone taking care of you” feeling.
Thank you very much and highly recommend it to those who want to experience authentic life and want to stay safe and comfortable.

Guest UserThe location is excellent, just a 5-10 minute walk to Huangcuo Beach, and there are many snack shops nearby, making it convenient to grab a bite. The family-friendly room type was a big hit with the kids, especially the slide, which looks safe despite its curves. The room itself is quite new, and you can tell a lot of thought went into some of the details. The owner is also very welcoming. Overall, it was a great experience. If I had to pick out some minor flaws, the bathtub was a bit high, which made it tricky for kids to get in and out, and the soundproofing on the door wasn't great – you could hear conversations from outside late at night. But these were minor issues, and overall, it was very good.

Anonymous UserOur stay was truly amazing — if the full score is 100, I would honestly give it 200! The room was exceptionally clean, and the host personally checked everything again even after the cleaning lady finished. The host was warm, generous, and always attentive. During check-in, she even shared helpful travel tips and recommended places to visit, which made our trip so much easier.
Every day, they asked whether we needed room cleaning or a cup of coffee, which made us feel very well taken care of.
The flowers and garden were personally maintained by the host, so the environment was beautiful and welcoming. The location was also incredibly convenient — just downstairs, there were plenty of food options, and even late at night, we could easily walk out for supper.
Overall, from the location to cleanliness to the host’s hospitality, everything exceeded our expectations. It was a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend this place!

Guest UserI arrived in a torrential downpour, dusty and weary from the journey, but seeing a cute big black dog sleeping in the hotel immediately made me feel warm and fuzzy. The room was fully equipped, clean, and tidy overall. As dusk fell, the indoor lighting created a lovely ambiance. Opening the door, the small courtyard with bamboo shadows swaying and cicadas chirping after the rain was quite enchanting. I imagine it would be a wonderful spot to just relax and unwind when the weather is cool and dry. Oh, and the two young men working there were also very kind and friendly. They helped me with my luggage, gave me a paper map (I appreciate such artistic touches), and even brought breakfast to my room, telling me to ask for more if it wasn't enough.
My personal stay was quite pleasant. If I had to mention any tips, I'd say bring mosquito repellent, as there are many mosquitoes on the island. Also, the breakfast is simple and home-style, not like a fancy hotel buffet, so that's something to consider based on personal preference. I would definitely consider staying here again next time I'm on the island. Thanks for the hospitality! (◍•͈⌔•͈◍)

🏨 Youth Sunshine S Hotel (Xiamen International Convention & Exhibition Center California Plaza Branch)
🗓 Check-in Date: February 15, 2026
🗓 Check-out Date: February 19, 2026
🕘 Departure Time: 5:00 PM (Special Request Accepted)
We arrived at the hotel at 9:45 PM on the eve of Chinese New Year. Given the late hour and festive season, we were concerned that nearby restaurants might already be closed. To our pleasant surprise, several small eateries within 50 meters of the hotel were still open, allowing us to enjoy a proper late dinner. It was a reassuring start to our stay.
The hotel’s environment is comfortable and welcoming. The lobby features a bright, clean design with warm wood tones and soft lighting that create a calm, relaxing atmosphere. A tasteful display area and cozy seating space add a subtle blend of business functionality and artistic charm. The front desk staff were professional and courteous, and the check-in process was smooth and efficient despite the late hour.
We stayed in the Premier Themed Room (Japanese Style with Sakura), which was truly one of the highlights of our trip.
Upon entering, we were greeted by a beautifully designed Japanese-inspired interior. Warm lighting, wooden flooring, and delicate sakura (cherry blossom) wall art created a serene and elegant ambiance. Wooden partition panels and subtle decorative details added refinement, giving the space an artistic yet tranquil feel — almost like a small ryokan-style retreat in the heart of Xiamen.
The room was thoughtfully designed, spacious, and impeccably clean. A charming feature was the private balcony, which allowed fresh air in.
The bed was exceptionally comfortable, dressed in crisp white linens. The mattress offered excellent support, and the pillows were soft yet supportive, ensuring a restful night’s sleep.
All essential toiletries were generously provided, including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, dental kits, slippers, and towels. Everything was neatly arranged and well-maintained, reflecting attention to guest comfort.
The complimentary breakfast was another pleasant surprise. It offered a good variety of well-prepared options, making it a satisfying way to start each day.
The location is highly convenient, close to the Xiamen International Convention & Exhibition Center, with California Plaza Shopping Mall next door offering numerous dining choices. Whether for business or leisure, the hotel is an excellent option.
Most importantly, the nightly rate was very reasonable and offered excellent value, especially considering the themed décor, balcony, full amenities, and included breakfast. The stay exceeded our expectations.
We would gladly choose this room again on our next visit.
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Highly recommended!

My best stay in Xiamen, by far.
It is essentially a, what the Japanese would say, love hotel, but it is very much true to its name and the function of the business hotel is also proper and works great.
The location is great, its in Jimei, but many buses and metro line runs here too. Again, with a bit of effort, can get anywhere in time.
Very peaceful surroundings, interior is freshly renovated, both the lobby and the hotel rooms themselves.
Toiletries, 2 small milks, water, breakfast, all very humble and very thoughtful, much bigger and more expensive hotels don't put this level of effort into your stay! These people care!
However, the kindness of one person in particular, handling the checkins and checkouts at the reception, stands out. I'm not sure what her name is and I have no idea other that she worked the day shift on both days of my stay, but the receptionist girl deserves a promotion like no other!
When I first arrived she not only handled the checkin process exceptionally, but personally helped me find the room, sign my devices to wifi, teach me about the thermostat functions, etc, and when I signed off and checked out, upon realizing I had left an expensive phone charger in my room, she expressly communicated with the staff and the charger was downstairs within barely minutes!
All of this, with a genuine beautiful smile and care for the customer's experience!
The look of the rooms is definitely a bit unique, and might not be to everyone's tastes, sure, but the staff is one of a kind and will be golden to you for the duration of the stay and beyond. Definitely booking it next year again, hopefully for many nights!

The hotel rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows, offering great natural light, and come equipped with an in-room safe. There's a compact parking area with space for up to 12 vehicles. Xiuxiu provided a very warm and welcoming reception. A beautiful small fish pond is located on the ground floor. Overall, it's a good place, and I would recommend it.

Guest UserThe room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was comfortable, making for a very reassuring stay. I could barely hear any outside noise at night, so I got excellent quality sleep. The front desk was very responsive and promptly resolved any requests I had. The overall ambiance was a minimalist Japanese style, which felt very relaxing and comfortable. The surrounding area has mature amenities; I could find breakfast shops and convenience stores within a few minutes' walk. Taking a stroll along the lake at night and enjoying the breeze was especially pleasant. Such a location and living environment are truly rare to find in Xiamen.

Niujianlong555Choosing E-Shang Hotel for our Xiamen trip was perfect! It's right next to Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, so we could easily walk to explore the old arcade streets and try all sorts of local snacks. The room was clean and cozy, and the mattress was so soft – we slept really well. The hotel facilities are also complete.
