"For my relaxing getaway to Xiamen, I booked the GreenTree Eastern Hotel, and it was definitely worth it. First off, the location is incredibly convenient. "My Stay: Beyond Expectations, A Truly Comfortable Experience
My overall experience during this stay was fantastic! First off, the location is superb. The hotel is just a 5-minute walk from the subway station, making it incredibly convenient for visiting both tourist attractions and shopping districts. Absolutely perfect for travelers!
Secondly, the attention to detail in their service truly stood out. From the friendly front desk staff guiding me with a smile during check-in to the housekeeping team proactively replacing bottled water daily, every interaction reflected their thoughtful and professional approach. The room itself was another pleasant surprise: the bedding was incredibly soft and comfortable, ensuring a wonderfully deep sleep. The smart toilet and voice-controlled lighting were a fantastic bonus, adding a touch of modern tech. What's more, every corner, even the often-missed spots, was immaculately clean – I truly couldn't find a single fault.
The breakfast spread, while not spectacular, was definitely ample, offering both Western and Chinese options. I particularly enjoyed the freshly prepared noodles and freshly brewed coffee.

"This airport hotel is an absolute lifesaver for anyone catching an early flight! The 24-hour free shuttle was incredibly punctual, and the driver contacted me beforehand to confirm my location. He was also super helpful with my luggage. The room was spacious and odor-free, with bedding so soft it felt like sleeping on clouds. The air conditioning and hot water worked quickly and efficiently. The soundproofing was so good I couldn't hear any plane noise at all. The attention to detail in their service was exceptional, and the value for money far exceeded my expectations. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next trip!"

"The three beds in our room were perfectly ample for our family of four. We all slept wonderfully, and even Mike from Switzerland remarked on how comfortable the beds were. The service was excellent, and we were very pleased with the buffet breakfast. A special highlight was the DIY noodle station every morning; we always had our fill and thoroughly enjoyed starting our day. Xiamen itself left a fantastic impression on us – it's incredibly clean, with flowers blooming everywhere, and we were absolutely enchanted by the scenery along Huandao Road. We'll definitely choose this place again for our next visit! They even gave us a complimentary gift box, which our children absolutely adored."

"The hotel has an excellent location, just steps away from local food spots and a large shopping mall, which made getting around and dining out very convenient.
The staff were friendly and attentive, though they didnt spewk English. Despite the language barrier, they were always willing to help and made a genuine effort to assist.
However, there were several issues that affected my stay. The breakfast was disappointing, with very limited options that catered mostly to local tastes — not ideal if you’re expecting a more international selection.
The elevator area often had a strong urine smell, likely due to the restroom located right near the entrance. In addition, the hallways and common areas were not veryy clean, with stained carpets and visible marks on the floor, which was surprising for an Ibis hotel. The carpet was noticeably old and in need of replacement.
While my room itself was fine, the overall cleanliness of the hotel outside the room was below the standard I’ve experienced at other Ibis locations."

I'd especially like to praise the staff, who are super nice and have a really great attitude, without any impatience! I was attracted by a friend and came here for the first time today. It was just as described by my friend, very good! The price for two people is really a good deal. You still have to do your homework online in advance so that you can consume directly at the store, which is both convenient and cost-effective. The waiters are very professional, their movements are neat and quick, and the customer experience is particularly great. 👍 It's very beautiful overall and a relaxing place. I'm especially grateful to the staff for their patient and professional guidance yesterday. I silently give them a thumbs up. 👍 It's great, the real thing is exactly the same as the picture, the colors are very bright and beautiful, and it looks great! The decoration style of the store feels very simple and stylish, but with some small features, which is very suitable for taking pictures."

"Room design is simple yet good arrangement as one can shower/toilet while another can still wash up at hand washing basin outside. Open clothes wardrobe makes it easy access to clothes right after shower yet separated from bed. There is also a nice view from hotel / Pizza Hut restaurant watching over Gulangyu island.
Location is marvellous as there is sightseeing bus stop downstairs and ferry terminal to Gulangyu is just opposite hotel. While ZhongShan Pedestrian street is just beside the hotel. You may walk far into the seafood street. Can checkout the King crabs and lobsters. There are plenty of eateries to choose. However, many restaurants serving almost the same food. It is a great place to shop and get souvenirs. Metro station is few minutes away and you can access to almost anywhere via metro. There are local tours to see Hakka Tulou, Xiamen coastal, Gulangyu, it is very cheap but it is a little time wasting as it fetches and drop off at few locations; also brings to shopping before the main tour and more shopping after the main tour. They don’t force you to buy though. It is entirely up to you. If you have time and in no hurry…yes, join the tour as it is really cheap for a whole day Tulou tour which cost around RMB128 per person. Have a nice holidays in Xiamen."

GGuest UserBest have WeChat and a Mainland China number. That way all questions can be responded promptly. The mobile number can easily call the driver who is so accommodating. He does pickup from subway stations, high speed railway, and even from a recommended local restaurant. The hotel room was not very clean the first night. After asking the room to be made the next day, it was much better. I got to wash/dry laundry, they have a cook onsite to prepare breakfast noodles. I often took subway, regular bus, BRT bus or call Didi. BRT bus was the best as I can get to University Town and shop in Festival or ioi mall. The regular bus ..I took to an outlet mall to shop for clothing. China has relaxed rules for foreigners booking hotels. I am not a local yet they accepted my documents checking in. Contact trip.com to see if you get a hotel booking from changing your country settings. Jimei District is far from Huli and Siming (30-52 minutes on subway) but very close to Jimei School Village and Xiamen North Railway (5-15 minutes on subway). If you plan on doing day trips from Xiamen, this is a good hotel to stay at. Ask on WeChat for the driver pick up point. They will send you a detailed video. In my experience, the hotels with great customer service stands out more than the aesthetics/look and feel. The hotel staff deserves the recognition for great customer service.

GGuest UserThis is a great hotel! Smallish rooms, but near tourist sites (Xiamen University, seaside, Shapowei). Rooms are comfortable and staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel consists of two buildings. My room was in building 2 (the annex, opposite the main building), which was fine. At first, I was a little worried about noise, as my room directly overlooked the entrance to the main building. But in fact, the hotel was surprisingly quiet, which was great! Not even much noise from other rooms, except some light muffled sounds. Much better than the average poorly soundproofed Chinese hotel, which in itself is a reason for me to highly recommend this hotel. The only negative point was that there's clearly some kind of leak in the bathroom, meaning there was all the time a small puddle of water near the toilet (other than that, it was fine). It was great to be able to use the washing machine for free (receptionist helped with that and even provided washing detergent for free). This area is popular with tourists, so some parts were crowded (in the past, I have stayed in other areas of Xiamen which perhaps as an area I preferred). I loved the network of little alleys that the hotel is located in though, which (unlike nearby Shapowei tourist area) seemed quaint and authentic. I would definitely consider staying at this hotel again.

GGuest UserThe hotel is relatively small but convenient. It was my first time in Xiamen. I was looking for a place to rest while I figured out accommodation near the university. The location of this hotel is conveniently located close to the center of the city, so you can easily catch a bus, a taxi, or walk to some of the nearby attractions. The hotel doesn't offer meals but there are plenty of options at every price point in the area. The staff is friendly and helpful even for a non-Chinese speaker and the rooms are kept clean every day. My room didn't come with a window but since I needed a place to come back to to crash without any interruptions from traffic, I really didn't mind it. I liked some of the environmental sustainability aspects of the hotel and I would definitely choose it again.

--liujinsuiyue-The location is fantastic – super convenient for transportation, dining, shopping, and sightseeing. The room itself was standard for a budget hotel, nothing particularly special or noteworthy. The only real downside was that this room type didn't have an external window, which was quite inconvenient. My child wasn't feeling well after the flight. I contacted Trip.com customer service, who then reached out to the hotel to see if we could get an upgrade or a room with a window due to my child's discomfort. The hotel flat-out refused! Thankfully, Trip.com's customer service and how they handled the situation were excellent.

RRam KondaAt first, we were disappointed because they put us into a small room that we felt was not worth the price we paid for. However, the next day they upgraded our room into a nice one with a separate toilet and shower area. There were wide windows and the view was the quiet road below and two small mountains in the distance. Not bad eh! This was the time we started feeling comfortable and relaxed in our 4 nights of stay here. The bed and pillows were firm and very good to sleep in. Good for relaxing after a long day of touring or working. There was a small dining table as well as some space or area to work and put your other stuff. The toilet is fully automated so it was really comfortable to use. The staff in general were accommodating and the female receptionist manning the lobby was always enthusiastic and helpful. On the other hand, location is far from downtown so it might cost you a bit more if you take the didi often. Also, breakfast fare was sparse when we were there, probably because it was still the tourist season. Not sure though but for whatever reason, when we got to the breakfast nook at around 8am, most of the food was gone. We had to wait for about 30 min for some trays to be refilled with food while the rest simply remained empty. If you don’t like local breakfast, then this hotel’s breakfast is not for you. Overall, it was a pleasant stay for us.

GGuest UserThe hotel environment was pleasant, and the front desk staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They even gave us a complimentary room upgrade! Breakfast was decent too. The hotel's location is excellent, being only a 10-minute walk to the ferry terminal, which made getting to Gulangyu Island very convenient.

GGuest UserThe hotel is located on Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, which is very convenient for eating, shopping, and going to scenic spots. The lady at the front desk helped us place the order. We were not very clear at first, which saved us a lot of time. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hygiene was guaranteed. I will stay here again next time I travel.

TTeh Phuy LiI have always enjoyed staying at this hotel during my visits to Xiamen. Its location is exceptionally convenient, situated on the same row as Xiamen Railway Station, which makes travel seamless. In addition, Robinsons Mall is located directly across the street, providing easy access to shopping and dining options.
