Location: Super central—just 20 meters from Exit 6 of the Zhonglou Subway Station. You can see the Bell Tower directly from the hotel entrance, and it’s also very close to the Muslim Food Street.
Service & Amenities: The rooms are beautiful and luxurious, yet the price is incredibly budget-friendly. To be honest, I didn't expect much when booking because I only needed a place close to the station for convenience. However, they provide complimentary free-flow bottled water that you can grab on the go. They also offer a free laundry service, and the staff even went above and beyond to collect my washed and dried clothes and deliver them straight to my room. The breakfast selection is diverse, featuring both local dishes and Western options, which is perfect for travelers.
If I ever have the chance to return to Xi'an, I will definitely choose this hotel again!"

No. 6 of Scenic Hotels in Shaanxi"I'm so glad I started my Xi'an trip here. It really hit all the right spots, to the point where I seriously considered extending my stay for another day… but in the end, I decided to experience other hotels as well.
[Location] It's right by Yongning Gate, next to the city wall, perfectly avoiding the city's traffic jams, which is super convenient for those who rely on taxis for getting around. There's also a subway station nearby. Plus, there are tons of delivery options and amazing places to eat, from breakfast to dinner, snacks, bubble tea, BBQ, and late-night eats – you could literally spend all day just eating! It's also a pleasant walk to the Bell Tower.
[View] Pull back the curtains and there's the city wall. Whether it's the grandeur of the day or the dazzling lights at night, I could never get enough of it.
[Service] The service was absolutely fantastic! It's been a long time since I've experienced such heartwarming service. Every staff member was so enthusiastic and friendly, from the front desk ladies to the aunties in the restaurant. Everyone served with a smile and went out of their way to provide help within their means.
[Environment] (1) The decor, design, and murals really resonated with everyone; there are so many photo opportunities within the hotel itself. (2) Even if you don't have a city wall view room, the outdoor bar offers a spectacular view of the city wall. Sitting there watching the sunset, scrolling on your phone, and enjoying afternoon tea – it's incredibly cozy. (3) The small table in the triple room was perfect for ordering takeout with friends, happily eating and chatting, with Xi'an's city wall right outside the window. After a full meal, you can just lean back and feel completely content without even stepping out. However, if you're a workaholic and need to work overtime, the restaurant might be a more convenient spot. (4) The beds, pillows, and bath products were all very well-received.
[Facilities] The pillows, bedding, and toiletries were all highly praised.
[Activities] They offer airport pick-up and drop-off, a rubbings activity, free Hanfu rental, and there are many foreign guests as well.
[Heads-up] For city wall view rooms facing the road, because they primarily feature glass curtain walls and windows, you might hear the sound of motorcycles with loud exhausts. However, since it's not continuous, it didn't affect our sleep. But it could be a concern for those who are sensitive to noise or are very light sleepers. BUT! The front desk thoughtfully provides earplugs!
[Other] When I checked in, it felt like there weren't many guests. Perhaps it's because the price is relatively higher? Or maybe there are too many hotels in the vicinity, leading to intense competition and diverting some guests. However, with the amazing view + cultural experience + airport transfer + excellent service + great location + wonderful ambiance, I feel like it's hard to beat."

"Great location in the Muslim Quarter. Lots of food around, short walk to the bell tower, near the buses to the Terracotta Army, and a short subway ride to all the other main attractions. It’s down an alley, but there are a lot of signs t make to it easy to find, and it also means it’s very quiet despite being in the middle of a popular area. The owners were friendly. I visited in winter and they made sure the room was heated in advance of my arrival. It was quite cozy."

"This hotel is perfectly located! Just a 10-minute walk downstairs to the Muslim Quarter and the Bell Tower, so it's super close to all the attractions. What really stood out was how spacious the room was and the excellent facilities. The gym and laundry room were also very convenient and useful. For the price, this place is incredible value for money. I highly recommend staying here!"

"Booked this Novatel hotel for one night aiming to tour around the Xi'an bell tower area.
1. Moving from Marriott Hotel to Novatel, it gave not good impression due to the simple entrance at first floor (maybe get used to grand first floor reception and lobby).
2. The light at the corridor are dark, again not good impression after checked in at around 8pm and walked to the room alone (no other guest insight).
3. Services are however very good.
A. Given the room is a bit cold, a separate portable heater is provided
B. Helping with setup the wifi connection since encountered issue (connected but no internet)
C. Also help with the handling of Taobao item
4. The room is ok and location is very good (close to the bell tower etc)"

"The room design was really good! We actually swapped rooms with another couple, so I got a whole big bed to myself, haha. The hotel is right inside the Muslim Quarter, which made it super convenient for eating out and sightseeing. The front desk guy also recommended a bunch of restaurants, most of them nearby, and the food was indeed delicious. I was surprised (in a good way!) that the hotel even had an elevator, and it wasn't noisy at all, so it didn't disturb our rest. Sitting on the terrace in the evening was quite pleasant. We booked a tour through the hotel, and it was actually cheaper than booking outside, plus the tour itself was great – big shoutout to the tour guide! It's a shame we were pressed for time and had to head to Lanzhou; otherwise, I would have loved to stay another night."

"It was a beautiful moment to be there. I’m a female and I was traveling alone. And it totally felt safe to be there. Most of the team that I’ve seen were female too and they were always very helping if I needed something. Location is not so far from the Center and very quiet. I had the family room and the room is very spacious, isolated(in a good way) and cozy. Many windows but warm, the bathtub and the water was very hot. Very high ceiling and it’s always the best! Sometimes it’s important to have a great hotel by yourself if you are traveling alone, it totally gives you better feeling of the city and welcoming energy. For that it was a very good price. I’ll definitely come here again if I come back to X’ian one day and I already recommended my friends to stay here. Thank you so much Yixi hotel. Happy new year!"

"This hotel is super close to the airport, which makes it a great choice for those with early morning or late-night flights, especially since they offer airport pick-up and drop-off. We arrived in Xi'an around 1 AM, and after a quick call, the owner was there to pick us up. When we checked out in the morning, the owner's wife even gave us two bottles of water, which was a nice touch. However, if you're really particular about your sleep quality, you might want to consider other options."

The hotel is located in the central business district of Xi'an City, near the city wall of Yongning Gate, No. 16 Xiangzi Temple Street, close to Xiangzi Temple. The hotel inherits the historical house of Song Qing dynasty. It was originally the courtyard of the Zhao family, one of the four great families of Xi'an. The gate of the courtyard opened to the north in Xiangzi Temple Street, and to the south, it led to shun Cheng Lane under the city wall of Xi'an. The length of the courtyard was about 200 meters, divided before and after the two courtyard, the front yard is a typical Chinese Ming and Qing architectural siheyuan, the backyard is antique buildings. The hotel was built on a side courtyard that is now preserved. The Zhao family in Xiangzi Temple Street has a long history. According to modern accounts, the Zhao family's courtyard was originally the residence of the descendants of Song dynasty founder Emperor Emperor Taizu of Song.
