Very good location and the rooms are clean. We chose the one without windows and we really liked it. There is a fake window with natural looking light. We also enjoyed the free laundry service (we really needed it). The personnel speak a little English and they use translators to communicate. The only suggestion is if they can add oat milk and some plant based proteins like tofu or gluten for breakfast.

There were squashed dead mosquitoes all over the ceiling. The pictures are just an example, there were more in the room. Gross. There's no screen on the small window, which I assume housekeeping opens. We got other random small flying bugs that came in through there. The beds were extremely hard. Way harder than any mattress I've ever been on in China or Korea. You may as well sleep on a yoga mat on the floor. The entire mattress also bounced a lot with any movement, so the bed is TERRIBLE if you are trying to share with someone. There's a small bench in the room that looks like it's for putting on shoes, but it's really unstable. The location is listed as Bell and Drum Tower, but it's actually pretty far from those. It's along a metro station, but not in the most convenient area. There's a lot of construction (open dirt ditches that you have to cross with flimsy wood panels) right next to the hotel. It's not their fault, but walking from the metro with luggage, it was hard to cross. If you're coming at night, you might break an ankle. The room was non-smoking, though expect a lot of smoke in the hallway outside. The staff were nice and gave some snacks at checkout.

I had a wonderful stay at Maiyue Hotel! The room was spacious and well-maintained, and I especially loved the little “balcony” area, it was perfect for ordering food in and enjoying a meal there. The hotel is just a short 3-minute walk to the Dongcangmen Morning Market (东仓门早市), super convenient for breakfast and exploring the local culture. The staff were warm and friendly too! Getting a taxi was easyyy, just indicate the hotel name in the Didi app (via Alipay) and drivers can easily locate it. The metro station (Hepingmen Station 和平门站) is also only a few minutes away on foot, and the bus system around the area is very convenient as well. There’s also an old market folk culture block (老菜场) nearby, where young people hang out with friends, browse small shops selling cute handmade crafts, and take lots of nice photos in the nostalgic and artsy setting. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a clean, convenient, and welcoming place to stay!

This hotel’s location is so convenient for tourists. Everything is accessible within Hotel vicinity. Didi driver will drop you off at the bus stop in front of the hotel. Bell tower is just metres away. Even though hotel is situated on the main road but it is not noisy at all. Hotel service is excellent. All the staff are courteous and helpful. We enjoyed our complimentary breakfast in the hotel’s restaurant every morning. We would like to commend a staff in the restaurant named Qi Rui Xia 漆瑞霞 for her warm personality and great hospitality. Our booking includes a free one time transfer from airport to hotel. Just make sure you contact the hotel in advance. We ended up booking day tours through the personnel Hu Xiao Hong 胡晓红who arranged our complimentary airport transfer. She is stationed inside the hotel reception lobby from morning till evening. So, it saves us stress and hassle to look for reliable tours. Her service is really great. She will chat with me on Wechat to make sure we get on the correct tour bus when we have a tour on that particular day. I would also like to commend a female housekeeping staff whom I did not manage to get her name. She is always seen with a smile and greets us whenever we meet in the laundry room. This hotel is truly a gem . I would definitely stay again in my future trips to beautiful Xi’an.
