The suite was incredibly spacious and comfortable, consisting of two connected rooms. One room featured a king-size bed, a large living room, and a luxurious bathroom with a huge bathtub. The second room had two single beds, which was perfect for our two adult children.
The layout was very thoughtful, with two separate bathrooms and toilets, plus an additional guest toilet in the living room. With four of us staying together, we never had to wait for the bathroom — a huge convenience!
The hotel grounds are absolutely stunning, featuring beautiful gardens, traditional architecture, and a pagoda, making it feel like a scenic attraction in itself. As a special bonus, the hotel provided a complimentary 60-minute Hanfu experience, allowing us to take wonderful photos around the property.
Honestly, the hotel is so beautiful that you could easily spend a day exploring the grounds without leaving. Another thoughtful touch was that each room was provided with an entire carton of bottled mineral water, which was greatly appreciated.
Overall, an exceptional stay with spacious accommodations, beautiful surroundings, and excellent hospitality. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Suzhou!"

It's right next to Pingjiang Road, a popular internet-famous spot, and also conveniently close to our main destinations this trip: the Humble Administrator's Garden and Suzhou Museum. The room was spacious and very quiet, with a two-bathroom layout. The facilities were excellent, and the hairdryer was particularly good. The balcony was well-designed, and there were dedicated charging stations. Breakfast was very rich and varied. The overall environment was wonderful, and the service was very attentive. We were a bit late checking out because of a long queue for a meal, but they were very patient in reminding us and helping to coordinate. Definitely worth staying here again when visiting Suzhou!"

"The service was excellent! The front desk staff and cleaning ladies were all so nice. They even upgraded my room and gave me a gift before I left. Really impressed! 👍👍👍 The bathroom was spacious, with a separate bathtub and shower. The food at the downstairs restaurant was good too. The only minor drawback was that the room wasn't very soundproof; I could hear people talking loudly next door. However, the other positives definitely made up for it. It's very close to Panmen Scenic Area, Canglang Pavilion, Keyuan Garden, and Confucius Temple, and other major attractions aren't too far either. There are supermarkets and restaurants nearby, and it's easy to catch a taxi. Highly recommend staying here."

Since it's located in an ancient town, the paths are cobblestone, so those with heavy luggage (like me!) should take note. Don't rush; take your time and really soak it all in. The hotel itself is housed within the Jiangnan Weaving Museum, and it's absolutely beautiful! All the staff are very polite and the service is excellent. I'd recommend staying a few extra days to get the most value. There's so much to see and do in Shantang Old Town; make sure to walk along both sides of the river!"

"I booked this B&B for Xu Liang's Suzhou concert, and although it wasn't cheap, it was worth it. The environment and facilities were good, exactly as pictured. The location is excellent, very close to Changmen City Wall, and right next to Shantang Street for strolling (though I find Shantang Street less interesting than Pingjiang Road, but both are commercial ancient streets overall). I initially thought it would be noisy near Changmen Street, but it was actually very quiet at night, making for a comfortable sleep 💤. The owner offers personalized service through a private WeChat group, providing recommended travel routes and restaurants. The only minor downsides were that I thought the river view outside the window would be charming, but the water sometimes had a slight odor (closing the window helped), and the river nearby was under renovation, which was a bit of an eyesore. However, when sitting by the window, you can't really see that area anyway."

The courtyard is very large, you can walk after dinner, the room is smart, it is quite friendly to the elderly, the front desk girl is very good and very warm, it is indeed ”home away from home” haha. Going out is Pingjiang Road, the small bridge is flowing, it just rained in the past two days, and it was also in the south of the misty rain. In short, it is very recommended and must give this praise!"

2026 Asia 100 - Scenic Hotels"I brought my family here for a birthday celebration. The hotel arranged a birthday setup and gave us a small cake, which was delicious!
**Appearance:** The cruise ship design is quite unique, and right across from it is the Gate of the Orient. It's lovely to take a stroll on the boardwalk in the evening.
**Interior:** The hotel is a bit older, so some rooms might have a slight odor, but the staff promptly addressed it, which was decent. The sanitation facilities were clean.
**Service:** The staff, including those in the breakfast restaurant, Zhenlu Yi Hotpot, and the doormen, were all incredibly warm and polite. (The coffee bar staff, however, were a bit lacking.)
**Breakfast:** It's a mix of Chinese and Western options. While the variety isn't huge, everything tasted great, especially the Suzhou-style Aozao noodles! They were so good I had two bowls! There wasn't much fruit though.
**Toiletries:** They use BORGESE products, with an orange scent, which was very pleasant."

"The inn's location is fantastic, directly across from the Lion Grove Garden, and very close to the Humble Administrator's Garden and Suzhou Museum, making sightseeing incredibly convenient! I had originally booked the smallest room in the inn. When I arrived, I asked the owner if a free upgrade was possible, as many guests had mentioned being upgraded. Without a second thought, the owner immediately upgraded me to the largest room—the service was truly exceptional! The room decor was beautiful, especially the large bed, which perfectly embodies classical Chinese aesthetics. There was also a tatami tea table and a small arhat bed. The front desk even provides a sewing kit for mending clothes, all of which speaks volumes about the owner's excellent service. I'm definitely planning to stay here again on my next trip to Suzhou."
