"My husband and I finally made it to Suzhou this autumn, a place he'd been longing to visit. We spent a lot of time researching accommodations online and, based on reviews, decided on Yunlan Inn. We arrived around midnight, and it was about a 10-minute taxi ride from the train station. The entrance is quite small, but once you step inside, it opens up beautifully. Although it's an old building, the decor is distinctly Suzhou-style. Our large room was simple but clean and spacious, offering a quiet retreat in a bustling area. Most importantly, the location was incredibly convenient. A 15-minute walk to the left takes you to the Humble Administrator's Garden and Lion Grove Garden. The Suzhou Museum is just a 5-6 minute bike ride away. And right outside the door, to the right, is Pingjiang Road, with countless eateries all around the inn, which was super convenient. The staff at the front desk, both the young woman and young man, provided excellent service. They were always available when needed and even gave us thoughtful recommendations for local food. They also gave us some pastries when we checked out. All in all, this is a highly recommended accommodation with great value for money, perfect for us seniors who enjoy leisurely sightseeing!"

"The most delightful surprise of my Suzhou trip was stumbling upon Anshe Hotel! Tucked away in Jianxin Lane, Gusu District, this hidden gem perfectly balances location, living experience, and value for money, making every trip effortless and pleasant. It's definitely my top choice for any future visits to Suzhou. The location is simply phenomenal, making getting around incredibly convenient! It's just a 2-minute walk from Exit 5 of Lindun Road subway station, so even with luggage, you won't have to go out of your way. Turn left out of the hotel, and in 3 minutes, you'll find yourself on Pingjiang Road's cobblestone alleys, perfect for catching the morning light before the crowds arrive, or enjoying a bowl of tangzhou (sweet porridge) accompanied by Pingtan storytelling in the evening. Turn right, and a 10-minute walk takes you directly to Guanqian Street, where you can easily find famous eateries like Yaba Shengjian and Lu Changxing noodles. The vibrant night market atmosphere is also right at your fingertips. Getting to Suzhou Museum and the Humble Administrator's Garden is also a breeze, just two subway stops away, eliminating any travel hassle. It truly allows for a ”step out and explore” kind of travel freedom."

"The lobby offers coffee and hot floral tea, which is a lovely treat every time I return – a warm cup of tea in winter is just so comforting! For breakfast, I had the delicious Suzhou-style thin noodles. The hotel's location is fantastic, right by a subway entrance and a bus stop, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing. There are also many local eateries nearby, like Luxihe, bakeries, and small restaurants, perfect for exploring. The soundproofing in the hotel rooms is excellent. The front desk staff, especially the lady, was beautiful, kind, and very gentle, speaking in such a sweet voice. They even gave me an AI mugwort sachet when I checked out! I also loved that the hotel has a smart assistant in every room. Such a wonderful stay!"

"Staying here for my trip was definitely the right choice! The hotel has a serene environment, and getting around is super convenient – it's just a few minutes' walk to the scenic spots. The room decor is warm and elegant, with excellent natural light and ventilation. The facilities are comprehensive, and being a newly opened hotel, the soundproofing is also quite good. Screen mirroring on the TV and high-speed WiFi worked flawlessly. The cleanliness was impeccable; the towels and bath towels were undamaged and odor-free. The front desk service was warm and attentive; they proactively helped with my luggage during check-in and even gave me a small souvenir upon departure, which was such a thoughtful touch! "This was my second visit to Suzhou, and my friend recommended the Wanhe River View Inn. It truly turned out to be the best choice for this trip! As soon as I reached the alley entrance, I was captivated by the white walls and black-tiled facade. Stepping inside, I was even more pleasantly surprised. The Chinese Zen-inspired decor was perfectly executed, with wooden window lattices, bamboo lanterns, and a dry landscape garden. Every detail showed thoughtfulness, and every photo I took captured the essence of Jiangnan, no need to even try to find the perfect angle. The owner was incredibly welcoming. They asked for our arrival time in advance and thoughtfully sent detailed directions. Concerned we might not plan our itinerary well, they even provided a guide to exploring the ancient town after we checked in, clearly explaining which alleys were less crowded for photos and which snack shops were the most authentic. This saved us so much time on research. We booked the Menglan River View Room, and the view was absolutely fantastic. Opening the window, we could see the authentic Suzhou waterside riverbanks and steps. In the evening, sitting on the rattan chairs on the third-floor terrace, enjoying the breeze and the scenery, I felt completely relaxed. The room amenities were also very thoughtful; toiletries were disposable, and the bedding was super soft, making for a wonderfully comfortable sleep. The complimentary fruit platter was genuinely generous and so heartwarming. Next time I visit Suzhou, I will definitely choose Wanhe River View Inn again. It's truly rare to find a guesthouse that feels so much like home!"

"I saw this highly-rated hotel on Ctrip and was immediately drawn to it, so I spontaneously booked a trip. The 'garden-style hotel with very cute mynahs' left the deepest impression on me. When I got to the room and saw the walkway by the pond, I remembered coming here years ago with a friend, and I had a good impression even then. My family was very satisfied this time too! 👍 The environment, service, and breakfast were all great! 👍 This time, I even got to sit in the hotel, quietly drink tea, and listen to Pingtan opera, which was very relaxing. "The location of the hotel is particularly good, to the Humble Administrator's Garden, Suzhou Museum, Lion Forest, Pingjiang Road, Guanqian Street are all within walking distance. The hotel is tasteful, the rooms are spacious, clean and the beds are comfortable. The bathroom is dry and wet. The room is beautifully furnished and the functional partition is reasonable. Suzhou Station pick-up service is also very good, worthy of praise."

"We were so lucky to book a room on the second floor of this B&B. The entrance isn't very prominent, and we actually walked past it and had to turn back to find it. It's about 300 meters from Beisita Metro Station and roughly 800-900 meters from the Humble Administrator's Garden. The young man at the front desk was very polite. Since we arrived too early and our room wasn't ready, we dropped off our luggage. He helped us check in, added me on WeChat, and sent me a Suzhou travel guide. We went sightseeing first, and he notified us when the room was cleaned and even helped move our luggage into the room. Our room was quite spacious, with a large bathtub by the window, and the bathroom had a completely separate wet and dry area. The room decor had a touch of artistic flair. There's also a large reading and lounge area on the third floor. On the weekend, we were fortunate enough to meet the owners, a couple, who enthusiastically shared recommendations for Suzhou's food, attractions, and culture with my husband and me. Because I was feeling unwell with a cold from the trip, the owner kindly extended our check-out time until we needed to leave for our flight. They even waited with us for our Didi ride and helped us load our luggage into the car. I truly felt the warmth of Suzhou, thank you! I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Suzhou."
