"For our four-year anniversary and one-year wedding anniversary, we chose to return to Suzhou and stay at the Four Seasons. The experience was absolutely fantastic! I have to commend the service; from check-in at the front desk to the gym, everything was meticulous. A special shout-out to Molly, who guided us to our room and introduced everything – she was so lovely! She even drew a cute cartoon sketch that looked exactly like one of our photos, and her recommendation for the BBQ was excellent. The pleasant surprise we found back in our room at night made our anniversary even more romantic. Many thanks! As for dining, the breakfast pastries were truly outstanding, though the Chinese dishes could use some refinement. We missed the Jinjing Pavilion this time, so we'll save that for our next visit when we bring our dog along to experience it again~"

"The Lounge: As the hotel's Western restaurant and bar, classic dishes like the Tomahawk steak, Australian Wagyu tartare, and black truffle pasta are all excellent. The freshly mixed cocktails are also well worth trying, especially when enjoyed on the terrace as the sun sets in the evening, or while listening to the wind and admiring the moon after dark. Such an atmosphere is undoubtedly something to be experienced rather than described. The Living Room: Specializes in afternoon tea and light meals. Being a Park Hyatt establishment, it naturally doesn't disappoint. The soft texture of the red bean cheesecake, the smooth creaminess of the strawberry cream cake, and the rich aroma of the cappuccino all effortlessly help you forget the pressures of work and the fatigue of daily life, allowing you to immerse yourself in rare relaxation and comfort. Excellent Service: That's simply what it is – wonderful service. Park Hyatt Suzhou's service embodies the Park Hyatt philosophy of prioritizing guests, often providing unexpected surprises through meticulous details. For instance, Xizhou Xuan will help guests with birthday table arrangements and provide exquisite birthday treats; The Living Room will proactively help guests warm up their food separately and multiple times based on their arrival order; the front office will prepare delicate welcome gifts (fruits, desserts, red wine) according to the theme of the guests' stay; and housekeeping will even proactively provide laundry detergent based on guests' potential laundry needs. Special thanks to the hotel's management and operations team for their attentive care and consideration during my family's stay. "Banyan Tree, as always, is wonderfully secluded and comfortable! The butler, a lovely lady, upgraded our room again. And we even ran into Alice Xiaoxiao, the butler who assisted us during our stay last year – it was great to see her again! She proactively reached out before check-in to ask about our needs and was incredibly responsive to all our requests. The concierge service upon arrival was also very thoughtful. The courtyards, lush greenery, and water features are beautifully designed, offering a new picturesque view at every turn. The views from our room were truly refreshing and invigorating! Kids' toiletries were fully stocked, and the complimentary soft drinks were of good quality, not just an afterthought. The hotel also offers free activities like Baduanjin (a traditional Chinese exercise), cocktail making, and night runs! Overall, a very satisfying stay! Excellent value for money! **Dining:** The hotel's Baiyun Restaurant is also fantastic. Even though dinner was a set menu from a group deal, every dish was surprisingly delicious! It's a perfect alternative to the Rongsheng Restaurant next door, where you often have to queue for two hours if you don't want to wait. They've changed breakfast to a mostly buffet style, which can sometimes mean colder food with a less-than-ideal texture. However, they still offer à la carte service upon request, which is great! And the champagne was delicious! **Activities:** This trip, we came specifically to climb Lion Mountain, and we successfully reached the summit – the entire scenic area is very thoughtfully developed! Safety measures are also very well implemented! Whether looking out from the mountain or gazing at it from the hotel, it's a view within a view – perfect for photos! There are several well-designed buildings nearby, like museums and science centers, all within walking distance. The hotel key card provides direct access to Lion Mountain Park, and in the evening, they even offer transportation for a golf course tour. The park has added more activities since last year, including a mini-train, cycling, and boating. This year, we even tried kayaking – so much fun! We'll definitely be back next year! Our sincere thanks to Alice Xiaoxiao, our butler, who made our first stay enjoyable and our second even more comfortable. Also, a big shout-out to the handsome concierge who helped with our luggage! The auntie providing turn-down service gave our child small gifts and drinks, and the three lovely ladies at the bar patiently taught us cocktail making… All the hotel staff made us feel so warm and welcome. "Hotels these days always talk about 'cost reduction and efficiency improvement,' but there's a prerequisite for that: it shouldn't come at the expense of service quality. Otherwise, it's just cutting corners. This hotel definitely gets full marks for its environment. The air in the mountains is fresh, and it's very quiet, with birds chirping and insects buzzing – very peaceful. However, the service staff are all temporary hires, so the service is a bit subpar. Let me give you a few examples: When I checked in, I was told there was a shuttle bus. At first, I didn't take it and walked up the stairs myself. After walking several flights, I felt quite tired. I saw a cleaning lady and asked her where to catch the shuttle. She immediately replied, 'Don't ask me, I'm just here temporarily to clean, I don't know anything.' I was sleeping soundly in the morning but was woken up by sunlight. I saw the sun streaming in from the bathroom window, and the bathroom door was transparent and didn't block the light. I noticed a roller blind on the bathroom window, an electric one, but couldn't find the switch. So I called the front desk to ask. The front desk staff said she didn't know where the switch was either and would have to send an engineering staff member to my room to find it. Eventually, I found the switch on an recessed wall above the bathroom vanity, but by the time I found it, my sleepiness was gone. Since I was awake, I went down for breakfast. There was a host stand at the restaurant entrance, but no one was there. I waited for a while, still no one, so I just went in. A lady in a black suit in the restaurant saw me and asked for my room number. I thought, 'You should at least seat me first before asking for my room number!' She casually pointed and said, 'Just find a seat yourself, any empty spot is fine.' Then she scurried off, no longer caring about the room number. After breakfast, I thought about visiting the nearby Yuyang Mountain Scenic Area. I asked the hotel front desk, and the staff member told me I could take the cable car to the top of the mountain for the views. She confidently told me the cable car station was right at the main entrance of the scenic area. In reality, the cable car station and the main entrance are completely different locations. The cable car entrance is about two or three hundred meters from the hotel, while the scenic area's main entrance is six or seven hundred meters away. If you want to take the cable car up the mountain, don't do what I did and go all the way to the main entrance before backtracking to the cable car entrance. Even a few hundred meters in hot weather can make you sweat profusely. It felt like the hotel staff themselves had never actually been there. I arrived at the hotel around 1 PM, and I wanted to ask if there was a room available for check-in. If not, I'd go out for lunch first. As soon as my car pulled into a parking spot in front of the hotel lobby, a man in a white shirt came over to shoo me away, saying 'Don't park here, don't park here!' in a very aggressive tone. I said I was just asking if there was a room available. He said, 'No room, no room, no room now,' very impatiently. I retorted, 'Oh, so you know everything, do you?' He rolled his eyes at me and walked away. That was my first impression of the 'white shirt' guy. Later, I saw him delivering fruit to rooms, delivering meals to rooms, he was everywhere. In the morning, I was sitting in the hotel lobby waiting for someone to go to breakfast together, and he came over and said, 'Go sit over there, I'm going to turn on the air conditioning, I need to close the doors and windows first,' his tone leaving no room for argument. When I was checking out, I saw 'white shirt' in the lobby helping guests with their luggage, seeming to enjoy himself immensely. I was so curious about what kind of job this 'white shirt' person actually had. Finally, I found out he was the hotel general manager. Well, that certainly fits the bill, a 'Labor Day' experience of life, I suppose. Finally, I'd like to tell the hotel that the bath towels and face towels in the rooms need replacing. They're supposed to be pristine white and soft, but they've become stiff and stained black. The chair covers on the balcony also need to be replaced; they're all torn. All things considered, for a price range of around a thousand yuan, this resort hotel is still worth staying at."

"Facilities: I came here specifically for the boat access and private hot springs. The room with the boat dock faces east, which was perfect for soaking in the hot springs while watching the sunrise! The room was incredibly cozy, the bedding was extremely comfortable, and the mini-bar had a wide variety of items. Since it was my birthday, I was upgraded to a suite, and the Japanese-style tatami tea room was very interesting! Activities: The entire hotel was filled with a pleasant fragrance. There were plenty of indoor and outdoor activities to enjoy, like lighting incense, making tea, and reading – perfect for a relaxing getaway. I'd heard great things about the spa, and it definitely lived up to the hype. Next to the spa, there's a collaborating gallery featuring two intriguing exhibitions, and the souvenirs were also quite unique. Plus, the weather was beautiful during my stay, and I really enjoyed borrowing bikes from Yueliu to cycle around! Service: Absolutely exceeded expectations! The front desk butler was very responsive. As it was my birthday, they not only set up a lovely decoration and provided a delicious cake, but several staff members wished me a happy birthday when I encountered them, which was a wonderful surprise! Tina from the spa area was very warm and straightforward, giving me lots of great recommendations, and we had a fantastic chat. Dining: Dining is probably this hotel's weak point. Breakfast was mediocre. The Baiyun restaurant wasn't open, so I went to Yueliu, and while the food tasted pretty good, it was low value for money – definitely high-end 'agritourism' style. However, the ambiance of both restaurants was superb, and on a sunny day, eating breakfast outdoors while petting cats was incredibly pleasant!"

"Had a wonderful 3-day, 2-night trip with my good friends and their families. Regarding service: Our butler, Cindy, was always online and ready to help. The engineering uncle braved the heavy rain to set up the projector for the kids and greeted us warmly the next day. Xu Chenhao from the activities department was a warm and engaging young man, teaching us kayaking techniques, sharing the resort's development story, and taking beautiful photos for every family. The children's club staff were also very welcoming, inviting us to try out various fitness equipment. Regarding cleanliness: Housekeeping was prompt and thorough. Regarding dining: The Chinese restaurant was quite good. However, breakfast was a bit mediocre with limited options. By 10 AM, they almost stopped restocking food. Suggestion: Upon check-in, we were offered an upgrade from 2 rooms to 3 rooms, but then told the third room was locked, effectively making it no upgrade at all. They only reluctantly opened it after we complained. I suggest training the front desk staff on what a room upgrade actually means. It might have been better not to offer an upgrade at all if they weren't clear on it."

"This is an incredibly understated resort. With direct access to Taihu Lake, guests can stroll along its shores right from the property and immerse themselves in the aesthetics of classical Suzhou gardens. Upon check-in, the staff were exceptionally warm and thoughtful, passionately introducing us to every facet of the hotel's design, from its architecture to its lush landscaping. To ensure utmost privacy, each courtyard was exclusively reserved for one guest party. In the evening, anticipating the courtyard might feel too quiet, they thoughtfully illuminated the adjacent room. A special thank you to Ms. Gao Xiaoxue and her team, who provided attentive and enthusiastic follow-up from the initial booking to check-in. I'm absolutely thrilled to witness such high-quality domestic resorts emerging in China over the past few years. From the garden vistas to the room's exquisite style, this hotel truly outshines properties like Amanyangyun and Amanfayun! I sincerely hope to return with my entire family on our next trip, should the perfect opportunity arise!"

"The hotel boasts elegant and pleasant views, designed by a renowned international firm. Opened in 1999 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by Mr. Lee Kuan Yew, it symbolizes Sino-Singaporean friendship and international influence. The main building's stone facade is made of Jinshan stone from Mudu, a quarry that has since ceased operation. The garden landscaping is top-notch, with each of the 'Eight Views of Wu Palace' offering unique charm. A back exit provides direct access to the Panmen Scenic Area, allowing for day and night exploration. The hotel's restaurants are distinctive, with both the Chinese and Western establishments being superb. The Ruimian Noodle House, a Suzhou-style noodle restaurant, is particularly elegant and authentic!"

"Got a complimentary room upgrade, and the room was absolutely charming with a strong Suzhou character, making it feel like I was staying in a classical garden. All the cups were sealed in plastic, and the linens were excellent. The hotel itself can arrange a canal night tour with pick-up and drop-off service, which was very convenient. The location is quite close to Pingjiang Road, but it's a bit of a walk to Humble Administrator's Garden and Suzhou Museum."

"## Review **Location & Transportation:** The hotel is conveniently located about 2.3 kilometers from Suzhou Station. A taxi ride takes about 5-6 minutes if there's no traffic. If you don't have much luggage, you can also take two subway stops from the high-speed rail station to Chayuanfang Station and walk approximately 500 meters from Exit 2. The old town area of Suzhou is not very large, and with the hotel situated in its center, all major attractions and food streets are within 3-4 kilometers. Some places are even within walking distance, making it incredibly convenient. **Hotel Decor & Facilities:** 1. The hotel lobby is spacious with high ceilings, providing an open and uncrowded feel. Walking in with luggage, it completely lacks the stiff atmosphere of traditional business hotels. To the left of the lobby is Birdie Bean coffee, which is quite good! 2. The waiting area for check-in/check-out is small, and the sofas are often full. To rest and wait, you have to go to a small cubicle directly opposite the main entrance, which is quite far from the front desk. The circulation design and area division are not very reasonable. 3. Inside the elevator, delicate flamingo embroideries adorn the bright yellow walls, creating a wonderful sense of relaxed charm where traditional elegance meets trendy details. 4. Facilities like the laundry room and gym are all available, which is very friendly for tourists! **Guest Room Facilities & Experience:** 1. The guest rooms are very spacious, with ample room for luggage. 2. The bathroom features a wet and dry separation, but the countertop of the vanity is extremely small and cannot accommodate a makeup bag at all. 3. There are no handrails in the shower, which is not very friendly for elderly guests with mobility issues. The toilet is an enclosed space with no ventilation equipment whatsoever, requiring you to hold your breath every time you use it. 4. The room was clean and tidy, but upon check-in on the first day, I found chewing gum on the towel (as shown in the picture). 5. The bedding is comfortable and soft, conducive to sleep and relaxation. Due to Suzhou's watery climate, the sheets and duvet covers might feel slightly damp. It's recommended to close the windows and turn on the air conditioning to dry the room for a while before going to sleep. The hotel did not provide both soft and firm pillows as is customary; all were soft pillows. This led to me tossing and turning the first night and waking up with a stiff neck. I only got a good night's sleep after requesting a memory foam pillow from housekeeping the next day. The room windows are not very soundproof; the sounds of street vendors and the square dancing across the street were clearly audible and incessant. Fortunately, Suzhou doesn't have much nightlife, and the noise automatically subsides after 10:00 PM. 6. The breakfast buffet offers a rich variety of both Chinese and Western dishes and is well-stocked. The dining environment is spacious, comfortable, clean, and bright. **Service Experience:** 1. Check-in was extremely slow, with long waiting times. Even with only two or three guests, the front desk staff were very sluggish, taking an average of 15-20 minutes per guest. Most hotel guests now book online, and their information is already available in the system, so I truly don't understand this work efficiency! I suggest that the front desk staff improve their professional skills or that the hotel increase its staffing. 2. There was no one-meter line at the front desk, and the staff did not maintain order. While I was checking in, two strangers stood closely on either side of me, like ”left and right guardians.” The front desk attendant completely ignored them, not only failing to intervene but also proceeding to loudly verify my personal information, calling out my name, phone number, and room number, showing no awareness of protecting guest privacy. 3. The stay included a choice of two Suzhou garden day tour packages: Line A included Humble Administrator's Garden + Grand Canal Cruise + Hanshan Temple at Maple Bridge + Panmen Gate + Shantang Street, but this route is currently suspended. Line B includes Lingering Garden + Grand Canal Cruise + Hanshan Temple at Maple Bridge + Panmen Gate + Shantang Street. I inquired with the tour guide, and departure was at 7:40 AM, which felt a bit like a forced march, so I decided to explore on my own. 4. The hotel driver proactively offered a canal night cruise service, including boat tickets and round-trip transportation, for 138 RMB per person. After getting in the car and departing, the driver suddenly claimed to have an urgent matter and told us to take a taxi back to the hotel ourselves. Upon arrival at the dock, I saw a clearly marked price for the boat fee (including Pingtan performance) at 79 RMB per person. Even if the round-trip taxi fare was 20 RMB (the dock is not far from the hotel, only 2.4 kilometers), the driver still profited nearly 100 RMB from the two of us. We trusted the hotel and chose to take the ride, and while a service fee is acceptable, this felt like being scammed. I didn't expect such a big pitfall even within the hotel! "
