Hotel near Guanqian Street/Pingjiang Street,Suzhou
Suzhou is a city shaped by serene gardens and earthly alley charm. Nestled on the fifth floor of No.1543 Renmin Road in Gusu District, Yueting Hotel sits at the heart of the ancient city, secluded yet accessible amid bustling streets, embracing a tranquil elegance of its own. Bordering the lively Guanqian Street and standing close to the Humble Administrator’s Garden, it places the bluestone alleys of Pingjiang Road and the minimalist aesthetics of Suzhou Museum within easy walking distance, wrapping guests in an endless realm of Jiangnan poetry. Inheriting grace from the jade moon and repose from the waterside pavilion, the hotel embodies the exclusive tenderness of Jiangnan. Stripping away the noise of urban triviality, its space blends traditional Suzhou gentleness with modern subtle elegance. Soft light lingers across delicate textures, free of redundant ornamentation, only leaving a peaceful and soothing dwelling atmosphere. One may embrace the mortal warmth of the ancient city by the window, or immerse oneself in pure tranquility indoors, harboring the mild charm of Suzhou in every corner of the space. Come to pursue a dream of old Suzhou, and dwell in a tender stretch of time. Wander through limpid garden waters and admire layered pavilions by day; stroll amid twinkling street lights and listen to the gentle night breeze of the ancient town after dusk. With elegance as its pillow and tenderness as its tone, Yueting Hotel offers travelers a soothing poetic residence hidden in the bustling heart of Jiangnan.

"Here's an objective and factual review: First, the pros: 1. Staying in Suzhou's old town for just over 200 RMB a night on a weekend is incredibly good value. The hotel is very close to Chayuanchang Metro and bus stations. It's a 10-minute metro ride to Suzhou Railway Station, and you can take bus 262 directly to Humble Administrator's Garden and Suzhou Museum in about 10 minutes. The location is a huge advantage. 2. Being a newly renovated hotel, the room facilities are very new and equipped with smart technology. You can control things with Xiao Du voice commands, which is a great experience. 3. The mattress and pillows are very comfortable – a blessing for anyone with neck or back issues. Now, the cons: 1. At first glance, the room looks cozy and pretty, but on closer inspection, it's full of hygiene blind spots. An unused disposable paper cup had an eyelash in it, and the paper cup cover was stained, likely not changed in a long time. Even after we asked for new cups the next day, the cup cover remained the old, stained one. The first tissue pulled from the tissue box had a stain on it. The towels also had some small yellow stains, I'm not sure if they were inherent or if the towels weren't washed properly. There was a lot of dust on the floor and in the crevices of the cabinets, indicating it wasn't cleaned thoroughly. 2. The hotel is located behind a wet market, which felt a bit intimidating when arriving late at night. Three hotels share two elevators, and there's no key card access, making the environment feel a bit chaotic and unsafe. Initially, I thought about changing hotels, but after looking at reviews for other higher-end hotels in Suzhou, it seemed the hygiene situation might be similar, with common issues across the board. For this price, it's somewhat acceptable. If you're traveling with children, I'd recommend booking something a bit nicer."

Hotel near Guanqian Street/Pingjiang Street,Suzhou

The hotel features over a hundred guest rooms, all appointed with Atour S-level custom bedding and the "Sahre" amenity series. A 24-hour book bar provides thousands of curated titles, while the "Chuchen" launderette and "Hanchu" fitness center cater to extended stays. Located just 500 meters from Lindun Road Station on Metro Line 1 and a mere 200 meters from Xuanqiaoxiang Station on Metro Line 6, the hotel is also a 15-minute drive from Suzhou Railway Station. Guests may glide along Pingjiang River by gondola, listening to the soft melodies of Pingtan, and experience firsthand the living waterside elegance of a Jiangnan where "upon arriving in Suzhou, you find homes reclining against the tranquil shores."

"I hesitated a bit, but decided to give an honest review. I'm giving five stars, mainly to thank the front desk staff (they were incredibly busy during the holiday, but their service attitude was still excellent). The hotel is also very thoughtful; a staff member gave me a small Dragon Boat Festival gift upon check-in, and when I left, a taller male staff member (from the 'Flower Sea' area) gave me some small local Suzhou specialties. These little details made me feel quite touched. The location is also superb, close to the subway station, Pingjiang Road, Guanqian Street, Humble Administrator's Garden, and Suzhou Museum. The refrigerator magnets sold at the entrance are a great deal. However, there are a few issues I hope the hotel will address: 1. **Check-in Wait and Communication:** Because it was so busy, the front desk kept emphasizing that check-in was after 2 PM. We arrived on time but still had to wait a bit. When I came at 2 PM, I was told there were no rooms on the same floor, and the front desk suggested we stay on separate floors. However, my main requirement was for the two rooms to be on the same floor for convenience, and eventually, this was arranged. 2. **Unfulfilled Requests and Lack of Prior Notification:** I had noted 'king-size bed' and 'no corner room' when booking. However, one of the rooms was still a corner room, and the front desk never informed me proactively, not even when I asked for the room number. Furthermore, regarding why two king-size beds couldn't be arranged, the front desk simply said it couldn't be done, which was quite confusing. 3. **Questionable Hygiene Details:** On the surface, it looked good, and the bath towels were individually sealed. But last night when I took a shower, I noticed some dust-like particles clinging to the packaging, which resulted in dust all over the sink and mirror (photo attached). I suggest the hotel investigate whether this is an issue with the packaging itself. Additionally, when I shook the towels and bath towels, there were noticeable lint particles, which significantly detracted from the experience. 4. **Lack of Local Tour Information:** When I asked the front desk about any Dragon Boat Festival activities, they had no idea. Given that the hotel is in the city center, they should at least prepare some guides or information about nearby tourist attractions and activities to provide basic directions when guests ask. This would not only solve guests' immediate problems but also significantly enhance the overall stay experience. I understand that holidays are busy, and the small gifts were thoughtful, but the poor communication, concealment of room defects, substandard hygiene, and lack of local information all detracted from the overall experience. I hope the hotel can strengthen staff training and improve overall service quality."

"The hotel's location is excellent for exploring Suzhou. It's conveniently close to the subway, Suzhou Museum, and Humble Administrator's Garden. Plus, being right next to Guanqian Street pedestrian area means plenty of dining options. The hotel itself was clean, and the breakfast was ample. Service was attentive, and the staff were all very welcoming. My only minor gripe is that the windows aren't very soundproof, so you can hear some street noise from the pedestrian street during the day. However, it wasn't an issue for sleeping at night as it quieted down, and I wasn't in the hotel much during the day anyway. Overall, I'm quite satisfied."

"The room was incredibly spacious, which was perfect for traveling with my elderly parents – they found it really comfortable. The hotel itself is very stylish and modern. It's located right next to a shopping street, but the soundproofing is excellent, so it's not noisy at all. Stepping out, it's super convenient to find places to eat and take a stroll. The hygiene was top-notch, and the hotel staff were all very friendly. I particularly appreciated the dedicated makeup mirror provided, which shows great attention to detail and is a huge plus for anyone who wears makeup. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Suzhou!"

"The room layout is incredibly well-designed. The main room has two beds: one double and another smaller one that's about 1.3 meters wide, so it's quite spacious. The inner room features a large bed, making it essentially a suite with an inner and outer room. Having two separate bathrooms and shower areas perfectly solves the awkwardness of a family sharing one bathroom. The inner room also has a small rattan chair, and there's a lovely little courtyard with a small table and chairs, plus a small pond. It would be even more perfect if there were some small fish in the pond! The owner thoughtfully subscribed to a VIP service for the projector in the room, so watching shows was uninterrupted. There's also a mahjong machine in the room. As we were leaving, the owners were cooking up a storm, and the aroma was absolutely delicious – smelled like potato and chicken, haha! Suzhou is a very pleasant city with clean streets. It's definitely worth a visit!"

"The service here was truly exceptional. Even after we checked out, they still allowed us to store our luggage. What was even more thoughtful was that they offered an empty room for our elderly family members to shower and rest when they got tired. We're really grateful for their care; such service truly adds value. ❤️ The hotel's location is also very convenient, making it easy to get around. However, because it's close to a main road, traffic noise can be quite noticeable, and the soundproofing isn't the best. If you're sensitive to noise, I recommend bringing earplugs or asking the hotel for a quieter room."
