GGuest UserWe had a wonderful Chinese New Year holiday at this hotel. The decorations were perfect for taking photos, and the service was thoughtful and warm. The security guard at the entrance even kindly told us about the shuttle bus to the ancient town and gave lollipops to the kids! The lantern show at Daguan Garden was absolutely stunning at night. Since there weren't many people, the kids had a blast running around the corridors. The complimentary travel photoshoot was great value for money, though posed shots aren't really suitable for young children, especially with two of them – props to the photographer for his patience! 😂 The Chinese New Year activities in the lobby were very entertaining. The indoor and outdoor kids' play areas, though not huge, kept the little ones occupied for a while. The heated pool's water was a bit cool, which could be improved. Overall, it's a great resort for families with both elderly parents and young children, and I noticed a surprisingly high number of seniors among the guests! 😝

GGuest UserThe location was directly at the tourist attraction very convenient. Hotel amenities are great, love the Dyson hair dryer and the hot water dispenser save time to boil. A very warm feeling staying in tte hotel as they will serve evening drink into our room and on the check out day they packed us a small bag of titbits which elevated the whole staying experience that they care for every guest. The staff were very friendly and polite, have to give special credits to 小海 and the 小姐姐 at the front desk whom served us on day 1. Despite my endless questions, they still patiently attended to me. Last but not least the wonderful shuttle service that they provide and the driver gave us good advice. Thumbs up to him!

GGuest UserChecked into Suzhou Nanfang Hotel on the 9th, and my overall stay was outstanding. The hotel itself is a garden-style state guesthouse, offering an elegant and tranquil environment. My room was clean and quiet, and the location is also excellent. There was a minor incident during breakfast that initially caused some unpleasantness, but the restaurant staff reacted quickly and genuinely. They addressed the issue promptly and professionally, communicating patiently and thoroughly throughout, resolving the problem efficiently. My initial bad mood was completely appeased, and I enjoyed the rest of my meal. Their willingness to confront issues and provide warm, effective solutions truly showcases the service quality of a long-established high-end hotel. The minor hiccup doesn't detract from the overall experience; I am very satisfied. Special thanks again to the front-line staff and management at both the restaurant and front desk 🌹. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Suzhou. Highly recommended!

AAnonymous UserIt was okay, given the affordable price. It's relatively quiet and the location is great, right behind Longfor Tianjie, probably part of the same complex. The service style is more youthful, not like a Marriott. Especially when they say 'bye-bye' – it's quite young. It's not as professionally trained as a 1000-yuan hotel, but it's still acceptable. After all, the price reflects that, and I didn't have high expectations. The bedding and pillows were standard, so you can definitely get some sleep. The shower head was a bit weak, the sink's stone material felt a bit cheap, and the carpet could be better. But these are comparisons to a 1000-yuan room. For a price around 600, I think it's perfectly fine. I'd suggest adding some proper benches on the first floor, thank you. It always feels like I'm standing in detention there. No photos, by the way. Thanks.

GGuest UserAn excellent experience! The location is superb, within walking distance to Tongli Ancient Town, making travel and sightseeing incredibly convenient. Our housekeeper, Xiao Wang, was warm, thoughtful, and provided attentive, detailed service, always ready to help with any request. The resort environment is elegant and tranquil, and the room was clean and comfortable. Overall, it offers fantastic value for money – a top choice for any trip!

GGuest UserI’d call this hotel a ‘soul-healing pod for city dwellers’ ✨ At first, I was just drawn in by the gentle vibe in the pictures. It's funny how you just know when something's right – the moment I clicked on it, I thought, 'Yep, this is the one.' But staying here turned out to be even more therapeutic than I imagined. When I checked in, the front desk guy upgraded my room, and my heart melted the moment I opened the door to that scenic balcony. The evening breeze in Suzhou recently has been as soft as cotton candy. After a shower, I sat on the balcony, just zoning out. No mosquitoes, no traffic noise, just the night sky and the occasional cool gust. At that moment, I felt like a leaf that had been ironed flat 🍃. I also have to rave about the wellness programs here! The sound bath with singing bowls was my little nightly treat; the sound rippled through the dark like a brain massage. The oxygen chamber and the Xiaoyu therapy bed were my 'sleep switches' – the second time I lay on that massage bed, I just drifted off... The therapists tailored the treatments to my physical condition; it wasn't a one-size-fits-all routine. I truly felt 'seen' and 'cared for.' Even on a solo trip, I felt completely at ease. Although the hotel is in the city, the soundproofing is like another dimension. It’s super close to Humble Administrator's Garden, Guanqian Street, and Pingjiang Road. Delivery food was available whenever I wanted it; I could even summon nearby Suzhou-style snacks with a click. One day, I ordered all three meals for delivery, and the front desk guy even offered to bring them up to my room – seriously, their thoughtfulness made me want to give them candy 🍬. Mini-bar, fruit, and a nightly 'goodnight soup' were all provided daily. It was pure bliss. I initially only planned to stay for two days, but it was so comfortable that I extended my stay for another night. After three days, my shoulders and neck felt relaxed, and even my breathing had slowed down by half a beat. I think I'll be back. Not just for that evening breeze, that bed, or that delivered bowl of Suzhou mung bean soup, but also for the gentle 'I hope you rest well' look in every staff member's eyes here. Whether you're alone or with someone, this place will gently embrace you. 🌙

AAnonymous UserThe hotel boasts a new Chinese style blended with modern luxury, incorporating elements like garden moon gates and traditional青瓦石墙 (blue tile and stone walls) into its decor. The lobby features a charming江南庭院 (Jiangnan-style courtyard) with flowing water. Rooms have panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, offering plenty of natural light. My room even had a view of the Gate of the Orient! All rooms come standard with Sealy mattresses, luxury toiletries (the kind you'd find in a star-rated hotel), and complimentary daily tea and coffee. It's perfect for families or friends traveling together. They also have oversized suites with outdoor patios offering unobstructed views of Suzhou's old town.

GGuest UserAs other online reviews mentioned, don't expect much from the service here. 1. Usually, hotels have a butler escort you to your room and explain things, or at least wait at the door. On our check-in day, we arrived at our room to find the door open. A staff member in plain clothes suddenly emerged from the room, startling us. But that's a minor detail. 2. The public hot spring (gongtang) operating hours are 8:00 AM to 10:30 PM. However, when we went at 9:30 PM, after showering, ready to soak, we were told the 'golden' spring (jintang) was already being cleaned and we couldn't use it. Why couldn't anyone warn us when we entered or while we were showering? They started cleaning a full hour before closing, and there were 3-4 other guests in the women's bath at the time; everyone just looked at each other in disbelief. 3. On Tuesday, before checking out, I wanted to have one last soak, so I woke up early. But when I entered the women's changing room, all the lights were off (the locker access card still worked, so the access control wasn't off, and there were no 'closed' signs at the entrance). I had to call the front desk myself to find out it was closed on Tuesdays. No one mentioned this to us during check-in or at any other time, and it wasn't in the check-in guide. So, we woke up early for nothing. The front desk said it was mentioned on Ctrip (it was, but in tiny font about seven or eight pages down). There were also no compensation measures. When we checked out, there were even other guests who had driven over specifically for the hot springs, only to be told it was closed that day. They also made a wasted trip, so the unclear signage is definitely not an isolated incident. Other than that, the value for money is quite good, and the private hot spring (sitang) fees are reasonable, though the private springs only offer the 'silver' spring (yintang).

GGuest UserI booked the Starry Sky room, but it rained. I'm not sure what was going on with the roof, but from morning on, there was a constant dripping sound, like water hitting the canopy. It would drip every now and then, making it hard to sleep. It was the May Day holiday, so there were a lot of guests, but it felt like the hotel lacked a crowd management plan. Breakfast was crowded, but still bearable. The worst experience was dinner. I had planned to eat at the hotel for convenience. However, after ordering, forty minutes passed and not a single dish arrived, while tables that arrived after us were already getting their food. I completely lost it. There was no apology or reassurance during the process, and pushing for our order yielded no results. A very poor experience overall.

QQinaidexiaokeaixiaokeaiThis hotel was a pleasant surprise! The environment is beautiful, the air is fresh, and the attention to detail is impressive. I'm so happy to have found such a peaceful retreat in the heart of Suzhou. The service was excellent too, highly recommend! A special thanks to the front desk attendant who helped upgrade us to a lake view room – it made the experience even better!
