Hotels in Guanqian Street/Pingjiang Street, Suzhou

This was my first time in Suzhou, and my overall stay here was excellent. The location is super convenient, very close to Pingjiang Road, making it easy to walk out for shopping and dining. There are also many Suzhou specialty foods and small shops nearby to explore at your leisure. The host was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and hospitable, patiently helping out whenever needed, which made me feel right at home. The accommodation itself is comfortable and beautiful, with an overall ambiance that truly captures the essence of Suzhou, making for a very relaxing stay. If I have the chance to visit Suzhou again, I would definitely consider staying here once more. 😄

Location: The hotel is very close to Pingjiang Road, basically within walking distance. We drove to the hotel, and parking was free. The hotel even has its own charging piles, so no need to charge outside. Our itinerary was only around Pingjiang Road, so driving was very convenient. Baitapu Road was indeed very congested, but the hotel is right on Baitapu East Road. After exiting the Changtai Expressway, we only hit a few minutes of traffic before reaching the hotel. Environment: The hotel definitely shows signs of age, but the environment is very well-suited to the garden theme, and the landscaping is beautiful. Our original room type was very spacious with a balcony. Aside from some noticeable wear on the floor, the cleanliness was fine. Service Attitude: The front desk lady was very friendly. Before checking in, I expressed concerns about the hotel being old, so she first showed us the room. We only checked in after confirming we were satisfied. During check-in, I casually mentioned if we could get an upgrade, and after she requested it from the manager, it was approved! 👍 Getting an upgrade so readily put me in a great mood! Room: The hotel has two renovated buildings. You can inquire about them before checking in. The new rooms are quite good and spacious, with a separate wet and dry area and two sinks. This came in handy later when I bought lotus flowers – one sink was perfect for keeping them! Also, all the cups were shrink-wrapped, ensuring good hygiene. The room type also included a qipao experience + 3 photos, but we had already done our makeup and styling elsewhere so we didn't use it, though I saw other guests taking photos. The room type also came with complimentary Suzhou noodles, specifically the Aocao noodles from the restaurant. I really enjoyed them! There were 4 topping options, and both the braised duck and vegetarian toppings were good. Breakfast was delicious! The red bean paste was particularly well-prepared.

Fantastic location right next to Xuanmiao Temple, making it super convenient to get to Pingjiang Road and Guanqian Street. The subway entrance is just a 200-meter walk away, and there's a large parking lot with charging stations right outside. Plus, the hotel's own restaurant is located downstairs. We booked the Zen-style room with a tatami mat that can be used for sleeping, essentially making it a family room. They even provided extra bedding and upgraded us to a room with a bathtub! The laundry and drying facilities on the first floor are very convenient, and housekeeping was always prompt. Highly recommend!

This stay exceeded my expectations! The hotel was exceptionally clean, with fresh-smelling rooms and well-maintained, easy-to-use facilities. The laundry machine, dryer, refrigerator, and microwave made daily living very convenient, and there's even a terrace for drying clothes, making long stays stress-free. Its location in the heart of Guanqian Street, with three subway lines nearby and its own parking, makes it perfect for both driving and public transport. Downstairs, there are countless restaurants offering a wide array of food choices. While delivery food isn't allowed upstairs, this strict management adds a great sense of security for guests. Overall, it offers excellent value for money, suitable for both tourists and short stays. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Suzhou!

The room was quite spacious and had all the basic hotel amenities. I chose a quiet room (which meant no outside view, but I didn't mind that much) and didn't hear any noise. I was pleasantly surprised to find a yoga mat and foam roller, which was great for relaxing after a day of walking around. The location is very close to the subway station, convenient for shopping across from Guanqian Street, and a short stroll to Pingjiang Road. All the staff I encountered greeted me, and I even received a souvenir when I left. Overall, it was a very good experience.

So where do I start, I have to say in advance that I am really satisfied with the hotel. Located in part of the place where the car cannot stop directly in front of the hotel. I was dropped off the back, using amap, yes I find the spots. It is just that, man's eyes. Hehe. I couldn't find the hotel at first, going around the complex still cant find it. My thought was getting to the message center in trip.com. Fortunately, the hotel already messaged me a while back about when I will be checking in. So the conversation going in the app, translated. The response is very prompt, the hotel sent one person to pick me up. Turned out the entrance is tunneled at the side of the building. Really unassuming 😁. The lobby is on the 6th floor. You all can see in my photos. I asked for food ordering, the staff did it for me. Any other requests also done, delivered by the robot in a timely manner. Clean hotel, the indirect lighting makes it look expensive. The entertainment screen is also great. No complaints at all, just that because of the hotel is located adjacent to many places, at 5AM you can hear people collecting trash, etc. Considering how diligent most Chinese people are, it is still great, nonetheless. You can close the window for more soundproofing. Thanks for the staffs, they are all really helpfu Overall, 5 star lah from me.

I'm a returning customer, and I've been staying at this guesthouse frequently on my recent business trips to Suzhou. The environment is excellent, I love the decor, and the owner is very warm and welcoming! It feels so cozy! I've already recommended it to many of my friends, haha.

The hotel is very close to attractions; Guanqian Street and Pingjiang Road are both within a few hundred meters. The subway entrance is right outside, less than 100 meters away, which is super convenient. The front desk staff, Xiaoqi and Xiaoqiu, were also very helpful and thoughtful. Overall, it was a great experience.

Excellent! The place was very clean, and they paid attention to all the details. I was pleasantly surprised to find mosquito repellent, and many of the amenities were disposable, which made everything feel extra clean and hygienic. Even though it's self-service, it's definitely on par with, if not better than, places with a front desk. The owner was warm and friendly. It has a skylight and is located on a street close to Pingjiang Road and the Humble Administrator's Garden – easily walkable. It's also not far from Suzhou Station, making transportation very convenient.

Let's talk about the location first: I originally wanted to book a hotel by Jinji Lake, but I'm so glad I booked here instead – it's incredibly convenient! Pingjiang Road is right outside, making it easy to find food, entertainment, and buy souvenirs. But what I really want to rave about is the service. We drove here, and on a weekend, there were a lot of cars around the attractions. I contacted the front desk, and a staff member named Xiao Xu immediately arranged someone to help us with our luggage and provided valet parking. We went straight to the hotel, and a dedicated driver parked our car. When we wanted to go elsewhere, we chose to take the subway, and they even arranged a car to pick us up and drop us off at the high-speed rail station – all we had to do was contact the concierge. We stayed for one night, and we had to check out before 12 PM the next day. I thought the service would end after check-out, but that wasn't the case at all. In the afternoon, we bought some souvenirs and stored them at the hotel. In the evening, when we returned to our car, they even arranged a dedicated staff member to help us carry everything to the car, including all our luggage. The service was absolutely fantastic!!! If we didn't know what to eat or where to stay, the front desk would always arrange everything perfectly. The room has a Suzhou-style garden decoration, giving you the feeling of living in a traditional garden. The building itself is 300 years old, and the environment is lovely, plus it's very clean. What I want to praise the most is truly the amazing service; it made traveling with kids so convenient. Even after checking out, the service didn't diminish, which I'm really grateful for!
