"Our stay at Niccolo Chengdu was absolutely perfect from start to finish, and I must commend the two Welcome Ambassadors, Fairy and Rina. When we were discussing our needs before check-in, they were both incredibly meticulous and patient. They helped me pre-note my room type preference and arrival time, tried their best to arrange a high-floor room, and thoughtfully explained the check-in procedures and breakfast rules. Even before arriving, I felt completely at ease. Upon arrival, the reception was warm and courteous, and check-in was efficient and seamless. They proactively offered travel tips for IFS. When I had last-minute questions about an extra bed or amenities, they resolved everything promptly and properly – their response time was exceptional. The room was clean and comfortable, and the location was impeccable. Fairy and Rina's gentle, thoughtful, and perfectly attentive service truly added a warm touch to our trip. Their service was professional yet personable, definitely a huge plus. Next time I'm in Chengdu, this will still be my top choice, and I highly recommend it to everyone."

"This time, I stayed here for one night before heading home from my trip. I had a great experience staying at a St. Regis in Sanya for a week previously, so I wanted to try this one too. I was a bit apprehensive after seeing some negative reviews, but when I arrived, I found the hotel service to be very thoughtful! As soon as I got there, they proactively opened the car door and helped with my luggage. The front desk was very friendly and upgraded my room to a scenic view room, and it even had two windows! They also sent juice to the room. I didn't need turn-down service, so the cleaning staff even gave me four nougat candies! Even though I don't really like sweets, I was very happy about it! The bed was very comfortable. For breakfast, since I had an early flight, I went right when it opened and ate for about 20-30 minutes before leaving. It was a good experience! There were many dishes, and the environment was excellent. They even had Bobo Chicken! And local specialties, but my stomach is small, so I could only eat a little bit! Highly recommend staying here!"

"The location is practically the best in Chengdu. It's convenient to go anywhere. Just step out, and you're at Taikoo Li, making dining and shopping very easy. There are also many local 'hole-in-the-wall' eateries nearby, so you can eat well even on a budget. The room is very large and spacious, making for a very comfortable stay. Breakfast is also excellent, with many local Chengdu specialties. The gym and pool are top-notch. The hotel service is great, and the staff are all very enthusiastic. The only minor issue is that the room lighting control is overly complicated. I wake up early, and to avoid disturbing others, I wanted to turn on only the bathroom light, but I tried several times without success."

"A special thanks to Monika, our butler! She contacted us before check-in to make arrangements, checked in on us during our stay, and sent a kind message after we left. This truly embodies the quality and service expected from a top-tier Waldorf Astoria. The room had two comfortable 1.5-meter beds, which is a great setup for Chengdu. The decor had a classic, 'old money' feel and was well-maintained. We even received a complimentary upgrade to a room facing the Twin Towers! The breakfast was good, and the service was excellent. Highly recommended!"

"The villa is very spacious, and there's a sofa bed downstairs that can be opened up. There's also a plunge pool in the courtyard, though I don't think it's hot spring water. It's right across from Sunac (Rongchuang), and in the evenings, the roadside is bustling with small food stalls. A bit further down, there's also a very long food street."

"My stay at W Chengdu was excellent. The overall design is avant-garde and stylish, the public areas are full of artistic flair, and the rooms are clean and comfortable with soft bedding. Front desk staff Xiao Gu and Xiao Du provided efficient and professional service. The overall value for money is very high, making it my top choice for accommodation when traveling."

"We stayed at Yunshuijian Longxing Courtyard in Pengzhou for ten days while visiting family in the area, and overall we had a very pleasant stay. The hotel has a particularly attractive setting right next to Longxing Temple and is very centrally located. Rather than being one large hotel building, the property consists of several smaller one- and two-storey buildings arranged around the grounds, which gives it a lot of character and a relaxed atmosphere. The rooms are comfortable and nicely designed. We had booked three rooms, and after a few days all three were upgraded free of charge to significantly larger and more comfortable rooms. This was a very nice gesture and something we genuinely appreciated. There are, however, a few areas where improvements would make the experience even better. The main issue was the air conditioning. In practically all of our rooms, the temperature control did not work properly. The air conditioning cooled the rooms effectively, but did not stop once the selected temperature had been reached. As a result, room temperatures sometimes dropped to around 19°C, and the only practical way to regulate this was to switch the air conditioning on and off manually. Breakfast was included in the room rate and is very much focused on Chinese tastes, with noodle soup, eggs and various warm dishes. Western options are essentially limited to toast and jam, so international guests should set their expectations accordingly. Overall, we found the breakfast average in terms of both selection and quality, although perfectly adequate for a predominantly Chinese-style breakfast. Unfortunately, our last evening was affected by a more serious issue. Following very heavy rain, a considerable amount of water entered our daughter’s room, leaving part of the bed wet. The hotel staff reacted quickly and provided another room, which we appreciated, but naturally this was not the ideal way to end an otherwise enjoyable ten-day stay. Apart from this, we enjoyed our time at Yunshuijian Longxing Courtyard very much. Its central location is a real advantage, with plenty of restaurants, shops and cafés within easy walking distance. We did not try any other food at the hotel apart from breakfast. Overall, the beautiful setting, the unusual courtyard-style layout, the comfortable upgraded rooms and the convenient location made this a very pleasant place to stay in Pengzhou. With some attention to the air-conditioning controls and the water ingress issue, it could be an even better hotel."
