Youmao Hostel

9.9/10
Perfect

It's a decent hostel if you just need a place to stay overnight. I spent half of my stay alone, without a roommate, which was great. On the day of check-in, they forgot about me, even though I had initially warned them about my arrival time. It was stressful, especially considering that the entrance to the hostel is very difficult to find because there are no identifying signs on the street. There are actually dogs living in the hostel, it's super cute, they're so cute. The overall impression is good, although the place is a bit strange:)

YUNXI · Yunxi Tianji S Design Hotel (Chengdu Tianfu Square Chunxi Road)

This hotel is my top choice for travel, and its location is simply unbeatable. This time, I stayed at the Tonino Lamborghini Center by Tianfu Square, and the location was definitely the biggest plus, right in the heart of the city's central axis. Just a few steps from the hotel entrance is a subway interchange station, with Lines 1 and 2 connecting to the entire city, making getting around completely stress-free. Tianfu Square and the Chengdu Museum are within walking distance, so you can soak in the old city's cultural heritage with a leisurely stroll. A short subway ride takes you to Chunxi Road and Taikoo Li, and a quick taxi ride gets you to popular attractions like Kuanzhai Alley and Jinli. Downstairs, there's a bustling commercial area with plenty of unique snack shops, making shopping and eating incredibly convenient. The high-floor rooms offer expansive views through floor-to-ceiling windows; by day, you can overlook the city's main thoroughfares, and by night, you're treated to the sparkling lights of the entire square. Despite being in a busy area, the soundproofing is excellent, offering both convenient access and peaceful rest. For anyone visiting Chengdu, I highly recommend this place. Its prime location is a huge advantage, making your travels effortless and enjoyable.

An absolutely fantastic experience! They personally escorted us to our room, gave us a thorough introduction, and the cleanliness was top-notch. The toiletries were high-end and comprehensive, mostly hotel-branded items, including bottled water. They even thoughtfully provided a disposable liner for the bathtub. The service was lightning fast; when we accidentally broke our own glass bottle, the hotel sent someone to clean it up within minutes. And the view? Beyond words, absolutely stunning! Highly recommend!

The hotel lobby is quite small. When checking in, we were greeted with a champagne welcome ceremony, and the lobby manager was very enthusiastic. The 'Panda Family Room' we booked was essentially a regular king room with an extra bed. The bedding in the room had panda elements, and the children's toiletries also featured panda branding. If you're just looking for an extra bed for an older child, a king room with an added bed might be more suitable. Overall, the service wasn't particularly special. When I asked if they had any laundry soap or detergent to clean my accidentally dirtied shoes, the answer was no. The check-out process was noticeably less enthusiastic than check-in, though they did offer two bottles of water for the road. Regarding the Florence Village package and similar offerings, these were never proactively introduced from check-in to check-out. The breakfast selection was rich, but during peak hours, you had to go to the bar next door, which was across the hallway and inconvenient. On the first day, we received a very cute panda mousse, which was the only five-star highlight. On the second day, there was none, nor was there any fruit.

The room was spacious, bright, and clean. The large French windows offered an unobstructed, expansive view. I actually preferred looking out at the city during the day over the night – it had a unique charm. It's pet-friendly, and comes fully equipped with a fridge, TV, and washing machine, making for an excellent experience. P.S. I forgot to take photos when I first checked in, so these were haphazardly staged later. It was much tidier originally! Please try to imagine it. 😁

C-loft Suite Hotel (Chengdu Chunxi Road Taikoo Li Branch)

When I used to stay in lofts, I dreaded the stairs – narrow and steep, like rock climbing to get up and down. At night, I'd have to feel my way down for water, inching along, hand on the wall. But the stairs here are wide and spacious, the steps are a natural height, and the handrail is sturdy, no wobbling. Walking up and down feels completely relaxed. The ceiling in the upstairs bedroom is a little lower than downstairs, giving you this cozy, 'wrapped-up' sense of security when you're in bed. Just one flight of stairs separates the bright, open social space downstairs from the snug 'sleep pod' upstairs. This transition from open to private, this shift in mood, becomes the most natural relaxing ritual every day, the more you experience it.

The room was spotless and clean. After arriving at the airport in the early hours, I immediately spotted the hotel shuttle. The driver was incredibly kind and enthusiastic. The front desk staff were also super patient and their service was impeccable. The airport transfer I booked was perfectly scheduled, especially with the wake-up call a bit earlier than requested – otherwise, I would have almost missed my flight! I checked out early that morning, and the front desk even prepared breakfast for me. It was truly wonderful! Highly recommend! Wishing the owner great success!

Muzi Hotel

First off, I'm a repeat customer, not a competitor! Every summer, I take my child to Chengdu Zoo. Last year, I stayed at Muzi Hotel without a car and had a great experience; the staff were very warm and attentive. This year, I recommended it to my family again, but the outcome was extremely disappointing. My husband even told me to just give a bad review. After some thought, I feel I must clearly explain this experience! **1. Incorrect Location!** We booked one room via Baidu Maps and another via Ctrip. The address provided by Baidu Maps was incorrect. We were already exhausted from driving, and it navigated us straight to a building materials market. It took us a while to drive around and get back on track! **2. Parking Hassle!** Free parking for one room only lasts 12 hours. We had two rooms, parked after 4 PM, and were told we had to drive out and re-enter the parking lot at 4 AM to get another 12 hours of free parking. Otherwise, it's 3 yuan per hour, which is completely unreasonable. It was raining heavily at night, and when we drove out and re-entered the parking lot at 7 AM, we overstayed the time limit and had to pay an extra 9 yuan. It felt very unaccommodating and troublesome! This is the first time I've encountered such a situation! **3. Breakfast Staff's Bad Attitude!** When we went for breakfast after parking our car in the morning, the auntie in the red uniform with an apron spoke to us very rudely! I thought we could dine using our room card, but she gave me a stern look and insisted we needed breakfast tickets. I then remembered the front desk had given them to me. Not wanting to cause trouble, we went back to get them before returning to eat. She was already cooking noodles. When my husband and I asked her to cook two bowls for us, she didn't smile at all. She complained unhappily and aggressively, saying, ”Don't ask for this and that! Can you even finish it? Some people waste food, not even touching a single bowl!...” I was stunned. I said I hadn't wasted anything, and my husband also got angry, asking why she was complaining to us when we hadn't wasted anything! The whole experience left us feeling extremely bad and upset! We are all in the service industry; her attitude was so unprofessional! It felt like she worked as if everyone owed her something! **4. Unhelpful Service!** We planned to take our child to the zoo the next day. The day before, we asked if we could have a late check-out until 2 PM. A front desk manager gave various excuses. Later, we said never mind, not to trouble them, and decided to check out in the morning without delay, put our belongings in the car, and pick up the car around noon, as it was only a few minutes' walk. She then suggested that the zoo also had parking, and we could park there. It just felt like she was unwilling to help with anything. I thought to myself, our 12 hours of free parking at the hotel wouldn't even be up by then (we parked at 7 AM), making her suggestion unhelpful for our situation. We then insisted it would be more convenient to walk a few minutes, otherwise we'd have to find another parking spot. Only then did she stop talking. **5. Careless Front Desk!** My mother forgot to take her traditional Chinese medicine from the hotel cabinet. She only remembered when we were already on the Mianyang expressway on our way home. We had to drive an hour and a half back to retrieve it. The front desk claimed they had called and sent a text message reminder, saying that we didn't answer. I still appreciate them keeping it safe and not throwing it away. But after checking my phone, I hadn't received any calls or texts, so I asked the front desk which number they had dialed. It turned out they dialed the wrong number! I left a number ending in 2003, but they dialed 8003. How incredibly careless can they be!!! **Pros:** There's a microwave, and a robot delivery service is convenient. They provide children's slippers and toothbrushes, and disposable toilet seat covers (although the quality isn't great). The staff at the 6th-floor and ground-floor front desks were still nice and quite welcoming, even serving us tea during check-in.

After comparing many options, I finally settled on this place, and my stay exceeded all expectations! 💯 The entire apartment is spacious and bright with excellent natural light. It's fully equipped with all the furniture and appliances you could need, and the kitchen utensils are neatly organized, making it easy to whip up a simple meal. The cleanliness was impeccable—not a speck of dust on the floors or surfaces, and the toiletries were of good quality. The host was incredibly responsive, always replying instantly to any questions. The area is quiet and peaceful, ensuring a great night's sleep. It really felt like a home away from home; very comfortable and reassuring.
