GGuest UserYou might be a little worried if you don't know how to check in until the last minute, and if you don't speak English or Chinese. When I arrived, the owner was very kind and helped me with a lot of things. The kitchen window was wide open, so it was a little cold inside the building, and the bunk beds had no curtains, so there was no private space at all, but aside from that, the environment was very good. There were people always occupying the living room and sofa, which are shared spaces, and I'm not sure if they were tourists or related people, but you might find it a little uncomfortable. There were no particular cleaning rules, which are common in dormitories, and the check-out time was arbitrary, which was nice, so I felt it was a laid-back place that was typical of Chengdu.

GGuest UserThe B&B is right in the ancient city, and it is very convenient for shopping, eating, and going to the Dujiangyan scenic area. The room is decorated very distinctively. Because the boss himself is a senior traveler, the photos on the wall are naturally souvenirs of his many years of travel. The room is not big but very clean and neat and orderly, exuding a sense of relaxation and comfort without losing warmth and elegance. The first time I came to Dujiangyan for tourism, the boss came to greet me in person and introduced the precautions for visiting the scenic spots and the characteristics of the surrounding environment. I can't help but feel that the boss treats the guests as friends. During this trip to Dujiangyan, I not only appreciated the spectacular water conservancy project, but also the encounter at Zifeiyu B&B was even more memorable!

ああいしてる^_^The room was very spacious, and even though there were a lot of guests, everyone was considerate and quiet at night. It's really close to the East Station, which made catching my train the next morning super convenient, just about a ten-minute walk. However, it's quite far from the city center.

RRahnosPositive: Cool Hostel in a great location, near the river, not far from Metro stations, lots of food options, and places to drink tea. Several floors, with lots of toilets and shower facilities. Very friendly and helpful staff, thanks to Helena especially. Negative: The bed wasn’t the most comfortable, and I guess there were a couple of people smoking (the top floor rooms open out onto a central balcony) a lot by my window, so i kept getting the smoke.

AAnonymous UserThe emplacement is rather nice, it's in a narrow street that allows for a more peaceful environment. If you want to call taxis though, they won't get in, you will have to walk to the bigger road (very close by) To get to the reception, you will have to climb stairs. If you get a room with shared toilets, just be sure you can handle squat toilets. The walls are rather thin but earplugs are being provided. The shared shower area only has heads that can't be moved from the wall. The shared room has thin mattresses, if you can't handle it, I would recommend a private room instead. If the room is full of luggage, it's possible to put some under the bed.

TtheunaprincessaFirst, shoutout to the staff, because they were all superb, very helpful, friendly, and on top of everything - spoke great English. The hostel itself has a really nice bar area with daily live music. The cocktails and coffee are amazing, and there are also reasonably priced breakfast options (that I personally haven't tried) that you can enjoy indoors or outdoors. The hostel offers daily activities and access to tours and private drivers, so you may want to check it out before you book yourself for something. Location-wise, there is a metro stop a short walk away, and taxis never had issues finding the hostel, but you'll always be picked up on the other side of the street. It's within a walking distance from the Wenshu Monastery, and therefore street food area - very convenient. My room was a four-people bedroom (female only) and the room itself, although small, it was clean. So were the bedsheets. The towels are not provided, so bring your own, but shower gel and shampoo are. Having bathroom inside the room is definitely convenient, but can be a nightmare if your roommates come back and use a hair dryer at 1am. It's not the hostel's fault, but pointing it out as something you may want to consider discussing with your roommates. Each person in the room will have a locker assigned too (mine didn't have a lock, but the others' did, so you may want to check that with the staff. Personally, I wasn't bothered). There is also a communal fridge and washing machine (for an extra fee) on the second floor. Overall, I'd say it was a great experience and a nice hang-out spot in Chengdu!

With full facilities like towels, toiletries, free water, boardgames, a big common area, an outdoor garden - a patio with nice scenery, a semi bar, a quiet area for reading and studying also a big bonus, and more. The location is also a few steps from a bus stop and tucked inside a parking area, so you will not hear the noisy street. Too bad, few of my roommates ( local chinese, maybe students ? ) cant keep the room clean and organized with their stuff cluttered and make the room a little bit messy. However the whole area is clean and the staffs also friendly With a very affordable rate, this hostel is a winner

GGuest UserI stayed at Chengdu XiangPi Inn for one night (April 14–15, 2026) and booked a bed in the 6-person male-only shared room. Overall, it was a solid budget-friendly option, but there are a few things worth noting depending on what you’re looking for. The biggest plus is definitely the price—you get exactly what you pay for, and for a short stay it does the job. The room itself was fairly basic but functional. The bed was decent enough for one night, and the space didn’t feel overly cramped despite having multiple occupants. That said, privacy is minimal, as expected in a shared dorm setup. Cleanliness was okay, though not perfect. The shared bathroom was usable but could have been maintained a bit better, especially during busier hours. If you’re particular about hygiene, this is something to keep in mind. The atmosphere was quiet enough when I stayed, and most guests were respectful, which made it easier to rest. Staff interactions were limited but smooth—check-in and check-out were straightforward without any issues. Overall, Chengdu XiangPi Inn is a practical choice if you’re traveling on a tight budget and just need a place to sleep for a night or two. It’s not luxurious, but it’s functional and reasonably comfortable for short stays.

LLisraekenAt fhe first, I could bot find the hotel, but I talked to the owner and she was so kind and promptly videocalled me and gave me instructions how to get to the hotel which is near to the bus station. The location of the hotel is very convenient, nearby you have a park, many restaurants, pharmacy, bus station. The hotel has some local people many of them were very friendly to me, we shared the food and sit next to each other for some time and talked in chinese. The owner of the hotel can speak English and she will give the clients the best service, she is really outspoken, caring and kind. The bathroom is public, you can share it with others, you can wash your clothes and then hang it. I enjoyed my staying, it is like a dormitory, you have your own bed, but you share the room with the others as the same gender as you.
