"Overall Experience: My stay was defined by a feeling of tranquil escape. The hotel's greatest strength is its atmosphere. Being in a historic building tucked away in a quiet, leafy neighborhood just off the famous Nanjing Road created a perfect balance. I could easily walk to the buzz and shopping, but returned each time to a serene, garden-filled sanctuary. It felt more like a peaceful retreat than a standard city hotel. Service: The service was consistently attentive and polite. Staff were professional and quick to help with requests. The check-in and check-out process was smooth. While the service wasn't overly familiar, it was reliably good and matched the hotel's calm, understated style. I felt well taken care of. Facilities: The facilities are well curated but compact, focusing on quality over quantity."

"The place is in quite bad condition and the staff very unfriendly. I read on Google that they would take your phone to leave a great review with it so I refused to give it to them. He still “needed to take a picture of my booking info because being short sightseeing” but then could read my translation app no problem… The room itself was good and the shuttle came to bring me to the airport (just a couple minutes late). The elevator stops one floor before the rooms so I almost left my suitcase downstairs but all the suitcases there were absolutely empty… it made me feel like they try to have people believe that they can leave they luggage down for the night but not with the best intentions. Regardless, I decided to bring it up and carry it in the stairs to feel better overnight. Cheap and okay room for one night near the airport, that’s all."

I arrived quite early, and the front desk staff (Ayi) helped me check in ahead of time, which was a very thoughtful service – a little red flower for you! There's a convenient store nearby, and food deliveries can be brought right to your room door, no need to go downstairs to pick them up, which is absolutely fantastic! 👏"

"The biggest plus is its incredible convenience – it's directly accessible by elevator from Exit 2 of the suburban line. Located right between T1 and T2, you can reach either terminal within 10 minutes. The room facilities, hallways, elevators, and general environment have a bit of a guesthouse vibe, but the toiletries (toothbrush, etc.) are a definite bonus, reflecting the quality you'd expect in a big city like Shanghai. The elevator has a bit of a nightclub feel, all dark and moody. The air conditioning in the room is quite old and hummed all night, and to top it off, the shower head actually started dripping water by itself in the middle of the night. Good thing I wasn't staying alone!😅"

"The hotel was easy enough to find for a hotel the has a reception on the 4th floor and no signage out front. The location is prime for access to the pedestrian road. Lots of sightseeing and shopping in this area. Short drive to all the key tourist hotspots. Beds were comfortable, staff were great to foreigners like us, breakfast was fine. The only thing of notes was we had no luck using the dryers and resorted to hanging out our clothes in our room. But this is a minor issue and may be operator error. We would stay at the Yitel premium again."

"It took me a long time to choose a hotel for our first stay in Shanghai, and I am so pleased with Chalet Hotel as our stay! The location is so convenient and close to many shops and The Bund. The hotel itself is comfortable and full of amenities. The shower was nice and had plenty of hot water. Honestly, one of the best stays I’ve had while traveling in a major city considering the price, location, and service. The hotel staff were always accommodating and Lin Feng at the front desk made sure our check out and hotel pick up for the airport went smoothly. I don’t think I’d want to stay anywhere else near the Bund after experiencing Chalet Hotel. And the food delivery robot was a cute plus!"

Renovated in 2023, the Vienna International Hotel (Shanghai Pudong Airport) is a great choice for accommodation in Shanghai. Traveling to the hotel is easy with Shanghai Pudong International Airport located approximately 9km away and Shanghainan Railway Station roughly 34km away. There is no shortage of things to see in the area, with the Jiangzhenshimin Square Park, Shanghai Pudong Linyin Art Museum and Kangmeiyuanchao Memorial Hall all nearby. According to our guests, this hotel provides a very high level of service. This hotel is a popular accommodation for guests traveling with families.

"I had a red-eye flight back from my trip, and instead of taking an expensive taxi home while exhausted, I decided to book a hotel with a shuttle service. This way, I could get some rest and head back to the airport for the subway home once I was refreshed. I initially thought 'Vienna' sounded like a privately run guesthouse, but I was pleasantly surprised from the moment I was picked up. Instead of a beat-up van, it was a clean and tidy mini-van. The driver was very polite, there weren't many people in the car, and it was a quick ten-minute ride to the hotel. The lobby had a nice atmosphere, and the staff weren't at all tired despite it being early morning. They stood up to check us in as soon as they saw us. We were lucky enough to get a free upgrade to a family room, which was larger and quieter at the end of the hallway. I then discovered the hotel is part of the Jinjiang Group, a state-owned enterprise, which explains the significant investment. They use a mini-van for early morning pickups and a large Yutong bus for daytime transfers. The hotel has a small gym and laundry room. The room itself was quite spacious, much bigger than express hotels in the city center. The bottled water was Nongfu Spring, and after returning from Queen's Palm Hotel in Hainan where they only provided additive-laden water like Ice Dew, this detail really impressed me. They even thoughtfully provided disposable toilet seat covers and child-friendly toiletries (something even Hainan didn't have), with toiletries that felt like a full care package. The room was spotlessly clean; I deliberately touched the floor, and there was no dust on my hand, which is truly commendable! The shower stall also had no residual water stains or hair. There was a QR code on the wall for feedback, showing their commitment to service. As a Trip.com member, I opted out of breakfast. After all the discounts, the room cost 240 RMB, and I could check out at 2 PM. I slept in until noon, ordered takeout, and then took the shuttle back to the airport for the subway home. My child was happy, feeling like we had another day of vacation. I slept very well with no noise disturbance. It was a very satisfying stay. Just two small suggestions: The faucet in the sink is too close to the basin's edge, so water splashes out every time you use it. I had to use a bath towel to block and absorb the water. Also, it would be great to have a high-powered domestic hairdryer, like a Leifeng, and perhaps a stand to secure it so it doesn't get taken. That would further improve the experience. Overall, I still want to praise the hotel; it was a very satisfying stay."

LLomarThe location is absolutely fantastic! It's just a 10-minute walk to Yu Garden and Chenghuang Temple, and very convenient to get to the Bund. Exploring and dining couldn't be easier. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and even offered helpful travel tips, which was a huge plus. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, and the separate wet and dry bathroom was a pleasure to use. The breakfast selection was rich, and the freshly wrapped xiaolongbao were incredibly authentic. To find such great value for money in this area truly exceeded my expectations. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Shanghai!

GGuest UserI go to Shanghai often to get some good food and do activities as the city I live in isn’t as busy as Shanghai. This was the first time I stayed at this hotel and it was really cool concept. The hotel is very very clean! My friend and I did a walking workout in our socks and not even our socks became dirty. The room allowed it to feel like a private movie theatre with both the window and bathroom corridor having curtains. The staff were friendly, there is a small fridge to put your food or drinks. Their location is near the LV boat and if you want delivery of food many great food options! Will go back to this hotel for sure!

GGuest UserThe Chuxin Mosuo Hotel is conveniently located near Disneyland and offers a free shuttle service to and from the park at set times, which is a huge plus because it saves you from having to take taxis back and forth. The front desk staff, especially the ladies, were incredibly friendly and attentive. The breakfast was also delicious with a great variety of tasty options. The room was very clean, and the bedding was super comfortable – I slept really well after a long day at Disney. What's even more thoughtful is that after a tiring day at Disney, you can get a free foot bath bucket from the front desk to help relieve your fatigue. I'll definitely come back to this hotel if I get the chance and will recommend it to my friends! 👍

GGuest UserThe front desk staff were really great; one of the male staff even gave me hot mineral water and local specialties when I left. When I couldn't get the hot water to work in my room, a female staff member was quick to help, and they personally delivered my takeaway orders to my room. There's also hot coffee available in the lobby. The hotel's close proximity to the subway is another plus. The only downsides were having to get up early for breakfast to avoid queuing for a table, and there's only one elevator. The room was a bit small and the facilities were older, but it was very clean and quiet. Also, it looked like some of the toiletries had been used, but thankfully I hadn't brought many of my own. Overall, it was a comfortable stay.

SShanghai based coupleAs a couple who has lived in Shanghai together for almost 10 years, with one of us also Shanghainese, we have been to a lot of the best places in Shanghai, and some of the more recommended places in about 20 cities in the broader nearby area. Nothing in the city or within several hours of high-speed rail compares to a stay at Ritz-Carlton Pudong. In Asia and indeed the planet, this impeccable hotel experience stands as an iconic example of old-world elegance and service. In addition, it also offers a unique view of both some of the most modern and tallest buildings and the city’s famed Bund riverside, home to a variety of art deco architectural masterpieces. We had the incredible good fortune to start our honeymoon at the Ritz in Pudong, and this last stay was our last honeymoon treat. As always, it was a spectacular experience that we cannot recommend enough. The most extraordinary part of the stay really is the staff, they are all world class people who go above and beyond to make the Ritz-Carlton Pudong such an exceptional institution in one of the world’s leading cities. Sincere thanks to the whole team for making this happen, including Cherryl, who made reservation delightfully effortless, Chris who helped us to our room, and Joey and Ruby who helped in the evening. Special and heartfelt thanks to the whole team who make the Club Lounge experience world beating: Eddie and Junita, who both lead by example, have a deep passion for the details that create excellence, as well as being just the nicest people. They are both incredibly inspiring leaders and professionals. Claire is generally excellent there but also was phenomenally helpful to get a bag back when it was left behind, we really apricated that. Jeramy and Vivian also are amazing, as are Club Lounge’s chef’s Joe and Austin. Sherry is a real star, attentive, sharp and so helpful. Last but not least, Helen, who was the first person to greet us after we got married, and fittingly the last person to help us create personalised room key cards with our wedding photo on it, and most recently a special photo of family from our honeymoon. Those keycards are really cool keepsakes, but making them is not as simple as you might think: the image is etched into the key, not printed, so the original photo needs to be translated by AI into an image that the etching system is capable of delivering, which is really impressive. When I showed my mom who lives very far away, even she was impressed with Helen’s work. Ordinarily we prioritise new experiences over more of the same, regardless of how comfortable and nice it is. But regardless of how hard we try, we have not been able to figure out a better way to celebrate our biggest moments than a stay at the Ritz in Pudong.

The room was clean and spacious, the bed super comfortable, and the soundproofing excellent – a quiet oasis in a bustling area. The service was gentle and meticulous, from the doorman to housekeeping, everyone was very professional. The location is absolutely unbeatable; step out and you're right on the Bund, making sightseeing and dining incredibly convenient. The quality truly lives up to the brand. My stay was absolutely perfect, and it's definitely worth coming back to.

GGeiorgiestravelsThis hotel has different room layouts so it is important to choose correctly. I initially booked the lower bunk with shared facilities which is in effect like having a bottom bunk in a hostel except here is a door to your own space. I shifted my arrival dates thus had to switch to a different room type: the single ensuite. I cost a bit more but was well worth it. I thought the room was well designed and the perfect solution for those who do not like to waste money on a hotel room…just want a clean and convenient place to sleep. The room had a single bed with an ensuite. The floor space was only sufficient to open the door, but other space was well designed. The space under the bed was sufficient for my multiple bags. Comfortable bed. Next to the headspace of the bed there were to shelves plus additional hooks to hang clothes…making 10 hooks in total….plus multiple hangers. Also next to the bed were additional light switches so you need not get up to turn off lights. There were two bottles of water, topped up each day, tissues, free earplugs and a small bin so while in bed you did not need to reach for the bin next to the bed or in the ensuite. These touches showed the thought put into the design during refurbishment of the space. The shower room was small but I had no problems. Shampoo and shower gel included as well as toothbrush and comb. Small mirror in ensuite and long mirror on wall. Wall mounted hairdryer. The towels are disposable type, not my preference and I used one alongside my travel towel. Housekeeping came each day to empty bins and top of water. The lady was very nice and upon noticing that I had been ill for a couple of days, inquired after my health and checked that I had medicine. There is a laundry; need to scan a QR code to use the program to pay. 8rmb for a wash and dry is a bargain. Near reception there is a microwave, water dispenser to get hot water, tea on tap as well as a wide selection of free tea bags, instant coffee as well as ground coffee machine & candies. The room has vents for air circulation on all the time (no windows) and a separate air conditioner control. When arriving I automatically turned on the air con, that night I felt uncomfortably warm. The aircon temp could not go lower than 18 which is reasonable except the temperature felt much higher than 18, and even though the fan speed sounded louder at different speeds it caused no movement in air. On the 2nd day I experimented with leaving the air con turned off….it was much cooler than when on so I did not use the air con again during my stay and was not too warm again. Location: West Nanjing road stop is on line 2 meaning no changes for Hongqiao or Pudong airports. It is also a connection for lines 12&13 making it easy to get anywhere in the city. The hotel is about 10-15min walk from the metro, which did not bother me at all, and I also made use of the many public bicycles. The hotel has responded to previous feedback as the instructions prior to check-in had detailed instructions from multiple dropping off points. I found the hotel no problem…it is on the 4th floor of a small building within a complex. When I went out on the first night, I came back to find that door locked, but it was easy to get back in by following the instructions from an alternative drop off point. Points to consider: - The walls of the ensuite are glass thus may be an issue if sharing a room - The walls are thin and sound travels so not good for a very light sleeper. I stayed 10 nights and on only 2 nights did I have a noisy neighbour - you may feel to cramped of travelling with large case. - the rooms on the inside have no windows. The continuous air circulation may cause dry eyes and throat when waking up. When in the room I sometimes left the door open to not feel stuffy. is new and modern. It was always clean. It is great value for money, especially considering it is in the city centre. I stayed 10 nights.
