"Great location and very clean rooms. Stephan (not sure if that's the correct spelling) was incredibly helpful and booked our airport transfer at a good price."

Hotel Plaza Venice
8.7 (1,385 reviews)

Hotel Plaza Venice ★★★★

📍 Viale Stazione, 36, Mestre, Venice

Perfectly located for easy sightseeing. It’s clean, professional, and lets you enjoy the magic of Venice by day while retreating to a much quieter, more spacious room at night.

Hotel Lugano Torretta
8.7 (232 reviews)

Hotel Lugano Torretta ★★★★

📍 Via Giorgio Rizzardi, 11, Mestre, Venice

"Hotel reception staff are attentive and friendly to our requests for all transport services. 15 mins walk to a busy subway tunnel can bring us to good Chinese restaurant and very affordable yet delicious."

Hotel Roberta

Hotel Roberta ★★★

📍 Via Sernaglia, 21, Mestre, Venice

"Not too far nor too close from the station, and the room was perfect. I had a comfortable stay. Thank you!"

Hotel Carlton on the Grand Canal
8.5 (451 reviews)

Hotel Carlton on the Grand Canal ★★★★

📍 Fondamenta del Monastero, 578, Santa Croce, Venice

"The room was nice and warm in winter, but overall it wasn't very clean and felt quite dated. There was only one staff member at check-in, and they were constantly on the phone. This individual was incredibly arrogant and lacked any semblance of customer service. I've never waited over ten minutes to check into a hotel before."

Hotel Centrale
8.3 (324 reviews)

Hotel Centrale ★★★

📍 P.le Donatori di Sangue, 14, Mestre, Venice

"Everything was perfect location was perfect. You can reach Venezia quickly by taking the bus that leaves from in front of the hotel. the reception was very kind and We were able to leave our luggage before check-in and after check out thank u for everything"

Leonardo Royal Hotel Venice Mestre
8.9 (583 reviews)

Leonardo Royal Hotel Venice Mestre ★★★★

📍 Via Ca' Marcello, 6, Mestre, Venice

"The hotel is very close to the train and bus stations. The room is a bit smaller than the Leonardo in London. Drinking water was only provided on the first day, but everything else was great, and they even provided a QR code for island access."

Ca' de la Fonte - Wenice Deep Culture
9.0 (120 reviews)

Ca' de la Fonte - Wenice Deep Culture ★★★★

📍 Calle del Forno, 4749/4749/B, Cannaregio, Venice

"Very nice and spacious room. City tax accepted in cash. Reception is not open 24 hours. When checking in at night, find a map on the door. The map shows the location of the 24-hour reception."

TARAK PALACE INN

TARAK PALACE INN

📍 Via Podgora, 96, Mestre, Venice

"The hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff were very friendly and patient; they waited for me until I arrived at noon. The air conditioning was already on when I arrived, and the room was very clean and comfortable. For this price, the quality is quite good, even by European standards. The facilities are also relatively new."

Hotel Plaza Venice ★★★★
"The biggest advantage of this hotel is its location, but honestly, everything else feels a bit subpar compared to other four-star chains like Hilton. Perhaps it's because Venice's urban infrastructure is quite old. The hotel lobby is nice, but the in-room facilities have some flaws, like certain glued-on fixtures that easily fall off. They do have both new European and old Italian standard power outlets, which is, I guess, okay. There are also a few other minor imperfections, and around 2 AM, there seemed to be a party with young people nearby. Overall, though, the location and experience justify the price. There are plenty of dining options nearby; I recommend trying some of the highly-rated restaurants for pasta, pizza, and gelato – the prices are good too. After all, hotels on the main island are even less cost-effective and have older facilities. If you have higher expectations for your experience, I'd suggest going a few kilometers away to a Hilton Garden Inn or similar. The price is about the same, the facilities are better, but transportation isn't as convenient. Otherwise, you'd have to pay double the price for something on the main island. For lower expectations, you could try other nearby hostels that aren't hotels."

Hotel Lugano Torretta ★★★★
"The location is quite convenient, about a 10-15 minute walk to the train station, and there are bus stops nearby. There's no kettle, and all drinks in the mini-fridge, including a 500ml bottle of mineral water, cost 1.5 euros. The tray only has two glass cups, with no free coffee or tea for brewing. Even though I never use them, their absence makes the hotel seem cheap. The only saving grace was that the restaurant staff downstairs were very nice and willing to fill my thermos with hot water. There was only toilet paper, no facial tissues. This is the stingiest four-star hotel I've ever stayed in. I had already paid the full room rate, but upon check-in, they insisted on scanning my passport and credit card together for their records. Luckily, I had covered my security code beforehand. I don't understand why this rundown place needed to keep a credit card on file, probably for those overpriced drinks in the fridge? I'd been traveling for ten days, and all other hotels only required an additional city tax payment. This old-fashioned place was the only one that insisted on a credit card deposit."

"Such a great hotel. Incredibly comfortable bed with clean towels everyday. Only downside is that the shower was super super small. Other than that, everything was great and the staff were attentive and helpful at all hours. Incredibly close to Venezia Mestre (4 mins) Will be coming back for sure!"

Hotel Carlton on the Grand Canal ★★★★
"The room was quite spacious, but it felt old, and the lighting was dim. We couldn't see the river view from the room. The room door used a physical key, and the front desk told us to return it every time we left and then retrieve it with our check-in slip when we returned. I guess they were worried about it getting lost; it was quite a heavy key, and carrying it around all day added noticeable weight. There was an older gentleman at the front desk with a very elegant accent. The breakfast was quite rich, with ham, bacon, bread, yogurt, coffee, and fruit all available."

Hotel Centrale ★★★
"The hotel is on the land so if you want to visit Venice, you will have to take a bus and then a water bus so it’s quite a trip. The location is not bad, also really near some Asian restaurant and coffee places. But the electricity is lowkey weak, it got shut down once when we were using our own Dyson hairdryer."

Leonardo Royal Hotel Venice Mestre ★★★★
"Highly recommend! It's within walking distance to Mestre train station. I was initially worried about the area around the station being unsafe, but it was completely different from what I expected; the hotel's surroundings are very clean and quiet. It was super convenient to get to the main island every day. Plus, the welcome drink in the lobby was delicious!"

"The hotel has great access to tourist spots, the rooms are clean, and the hotel staff's explanations are easy to understand. Check-in is at a different location, but they can store your luggage after check-out, which is great."
