MM426547****It's about a two-minute walk from the train station, which is incredibly convenient. Lugging luggage on the cobblestone streets of Venice is incredibly difficult, especially when carrying luggage up and down bridges, so being close to the station is crucial! San Marco is a bit further away, but you can always take a boat! Venice is so small, so everything is never too far away. The room, while small, was fully equipped, clean, and quiet. Great value!

KKara TaiThe hotel location is great! Very close to everything. The service is excellent. The manager is very pleasant and helpful. You can check out and leave your luggage and then come back to rest in the restaurant if needed. Be prepared for noises. Venice is so touristy and there is not a lot of soundproofing. I use earplugs when I sleep so it wasn’t much of a problem for me.
Be prepared to buy bottled water. Bring your own amenities like body wash, shampoo and conditioner, toothpaste and toothbrush, these items are not given at the hotel.
The bed is comfortable and the heat works very well. Overall it is recommended for a good rest and a central location.

RRaluca DascalitaI stayed at La Pergola for 3 nights and it felt very homey to me, like a student dorm room.
It was easy to reach from the Lido SME station, very quiet, my room had plenty of light, a desk to do some work, internet was working properly in the room though I was at the second floor.
The bed was comfy, bed linen was clean, the water was warm and shower had pressure, though the shower head had some holes clogged.
All the basics are there, coffee in the morning is included, and -despite the fact that the room could use a deep cleaning - I think it was great value for money, much better than expected given the previous reviews.
This place will be on my return list in my future travels to Venice.

GGuest UserRoom and bathrooms were clean. Showers felt like not a lot of privacy offered with fogged glass separating you and everyone and everyone else in the bathroom. Common areas were fun and social. Location was not on main island Venice which meant it was challenging to get home during Italian transport strikes, with limited water bus services. Please be prepared in advance for this. Otherwise it might be more convenient to stay on main island Venice.

GGuest UserThe room is not very big, the victory is clean, the door is very strong, giving a strong sense of security, the croissant for breakfast is delicious, the outer skin is crispy, they also have a black and white kitten called jimmy, very cute. I chose the room without a bathroom, their public bathroom is relatively clean and refreshing, there are no safety issues and hygiene issues.

AAnna KkkkGood value for its money. Old but atmospheric.
Cleanness could be better. Too many black hairs all around everywhere. Doors and walls are thin you can hear other quests talking from your room.

TTee LLWhen we reached, the reception told us that due to unforeseen circumstances,the room that we've booked ( with shared toilet)wasn't available and he offered us another room with private toilet with extra xx€ ( I forgot how much was it) but I refused to pay extra. In the end the reception gave us a free upgrade.
It was written that I should had paid 1.x euro at the hotel but the receiption asked to pay 2€ without giving me a receipt
The room was clean. The location was good. Close to eating places and supermarkets and train station. Travellers with luggages should choose this location. Facing the canal and station is at the back, turn left and after some minutes of walks the hotel is found.
