"Right outside the train station, just a quick walk across the traffic light. Perfect for those catching a train or only staying in Venice for a day. The room was decent, though mine might have been roadside as it wasn't very soundproof – but after a tiring day of travel, it didn't really bother me. I also tried the restaurant on the first floor; the service was very friendly, and they'd say 'thank you' once they realized you were Chinese. The food itself was just okay. There's a pretty good Chinese restaurant nearby, definitely above average for international standards (you have to order the right dishes!)."

"The location here was amazing, close to the train station and a short walk into all the sights. The room was cleaned daily and a good size. Hotel staff were super friendly hand helpful, breakfast had a fair choice of cold cuts and breads/cakes and a small selection of cooked foods (eggs, bacon, sausage) The only real disappointment of our stay was that despite having very specifically booked a double bed room, our room was two single beds which had been shoved together, with two single mattresses and separate bedding. The beds were very easy to slide apart from each other and I almost rolled into the gap between them during the night. Would still recommend but be mindful when choosing your room"

"Best place to live during a business trip in Venice, conveniently located nearby the train station and the ferryboat station. Top quality breakfast with sweet and salty and a very good cappuccino! The room located in the annex building was good but the heater in the bathroom was not working and despite I told front desk twice, no one came to fix it. Overall, a very nice stay!"

"This stay had a mix of positives and negatives. We were not placed at San Cassiano as expected but were instead transferred to another hotel in their chain, Palazzo Stern. The alternate hotel wasn’t bad—it's located along the Grand Canal and has a lovely terrace. The property itself boasts some impressive design elements, likely stemming from its past as an antique mansion turned hotel. We were given a loft room, which unfortunately didn’t have any windows with a view, and the space was a bit cramped for two large suitcases. On the plus side, the bathroom had a beautiful design. Breakfast was ok, though nothing to rave about. The hotel is a bit of a walk from most attractions unless you opt for a water taxi, with a water taxi stop conveniently located right outside the hotel."

"I was unexpectedly satisfied with the four-person suite with a kitchen. The room is large and comfortable. There is a large square outside the hotel with a great view. The kitchen equipment and tableware are complete. On a whim, I went to the seafood market to buy seafood and cook it. A large table cost less than 500. Yuan Yuan, fresh and delicious!"

"Although there is only a gas station across the hotel. But the location is still excellent. The bus stop to Venice and the airport is right outside the hotel. The bus takes 8 mins into Plazza di Roma. The hotel sells the bus tickets. And there are two buses and the timetable is very regular. We never had to wait more than 10 mins for a bus. So so convenient. The swimming pool also very good, not very busy. Breakfast was ok. Staff were extremely helpful with info, in particularly getting to venice and the airport."

"The triple room has an extra bed. The hotel is relatively new and a little far away. It is very quiet at night, but there are many good restaurants along the way. The hotel breakfast is also delicious. If you are carrying your luggage and walking to the hotel from the train station, it is recommended that you cross the river on the bridge (the stairs are shorter) first. The bridge closest to the hotel has higher stairs and is not convenient for carrying luggage. The nearest boat station sometimes requires a long wait, so you can try other boat stations, but it is also possible to just walk to St. Mark's Square in the same 30 minutes... and enjoy the scenery along the way. Apart from the transportation, the overall hotel experience is still very good."

However, the open-plan bathroom in the same room can be a bit noisy if someone is using it in the middle of the night. The staff are very friendly and there are plenty of activities available!

GGuest UserI recently stayed at the Royal Hotel Leonardo and had an amazing experience from start to finish. The location is perfect—just a short walk from public transport and close to many main attractions, yet peaceful enough for a good night’s sleep. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile and great local recommendations. The room was clean, modern, and beautifully decorated with Venetian touches. I especially appreciated the comfortable bed and the daily housekeeping service. Breakfast was fresh and offered a good variety, with delicious coffee to start the day. Overall, this hotel provided great value for the price. I would definitely recommend Royal Hotel Leonardo to anyone visiting Venice and would happily stay here again!

GGuest UserWhat a fabulous hotel perfectly located a block from the Grand Canal and close to both the Rialto Bridge and St Marks Square. The receptionists are outstanding and answered all of our many questions with comprehensive answers, patience and respect. Can’t rave enough about them. The rooms are even prettier than indicated on line, with plush bedding, a large bathroom and plenty of space. Breakfast was convenient and offered a large variety of choices. Service was also exceptional. Without question - you will enjoy this full service hotel. As a bonus, there is also an elevator so you don’t have to lug your suitcase up the stairs.

MMons007Swimming pool amazing! I didn’t give service at 5/5 because of front desk staff seems has lack knowledge about rounding areas. If families pick up this camp, they would like stay longer and return next year for more leisure activities. When I asked staff about local restaurants recommended, staff looked at us said she doesn’t know, only restaurant she knew is the one at the camp! Normal family members like to go both camp restaurants and outside of camp as well. People like spending in the camp but not 24 hours at the same place.

Although it's rated as a three-star property, keep in mind that it’s three stars in Venice—which is definitely not the same as a three-star elsewhere. The charm and quality here exceeded our expectations. You won’t find a lot of reviews about this hotel, but I did come across a YouTube vlog by a mother who shared her family stay here. She said it was a really good choice—and she turned out to be absolutely right! We booked a Prestige Room with Canal View and specifically requested Room 101, which we saw on TikTok or YouTube (can't recall exactly where). The photos already impressed us, but the reality was even better. The ceiling was much higher than expected, which gave the room a beautiful, airy feel. The hotel still shows older pictures online, with an outdated TV, but we were happy to find a newer TV already installed. The amenities were excellent—truly some of the best I’ve experienced in a hotel of this category. Breakfast was on the smaller side, but absolutely sufficient. The cakes and pastries were quite decent, and having them in such a beautiful, old-style interior made it feel like we were stepping back in time—in the best way possible. A huge shoutout to the staff, who were all genuinely kind and accommodating. We felt their hospitality in even the smallest gestures, and it was very much appreciated. Lastly, the location is unbeatable—just a short walk from the Rialto Bridge, close to everything. Being so near the heart of Venice made it easy to go out and explore, then return to rest and recharge. It's also conveniently close to shopping areas, which is a nice bonus. All in all, this hotel was a hidden gem. If you're looking for a stay that combines charm, comfort, location, and authentic Venetian vibes, this is a fantastic choice. That mother on YouTube was right—it really is a great choice!

11376401****For three people, including city tax, and costing just over 1000 (units not specified), the value for money here in Venice is truly unbeatable. The hotel's main drawback is its distance from the train station, which makes it more ideal for those arriving by car. However, if you plan your trip and use the People Mover, the journey is significantly shorter. There's a Vaporetto (water bus) stop conveniently located just a few hundred meters from the hotel entrance. Be aware that walking from the train station would take at least 35 minutes. The breakfast, for an Italian hotel, was exceptionally generous and definitely met the standards of a large hotel group. Occupancy seemed quite high too. While the rooms are on the smaller side, for a short stay of one or two nights—really, just a place to sleep—they are perfectly adequate; what more could you possibly need? If you're looking for bigger rooms or more amenities, you'd naturally expect to pay more. In summary, if you figure out the public transport route from the train station to the hotel beforehand, your stay will be absolutely perfect. For travelers who aren't overly particular about minor details, this place comes highly recommended.

GGuest UserI received a message from the store in advance, explaining the route in detail. Take bus No. 2 from the train station and get off at the stop before the Riya Tow Bridge. After getting off the bus, follow the instructions and walk for 5 minutes to the hotel. Go to the second floor to complete the check-in formalities and then work. Staff took 10 minutes to walk to the apartment. Our room is on the second floor, with 2 bedrooms, 1 living room, 2 bathrooms and a kitchen. The kitchen is fully stocked with seasonings and a washing machine. The apartment is not in a busy area and is very quiet. It's a few minutes' walk to the river, very convenient. There is a market by the river in the morning where you can buy ingredients, and the seafood is fresh and cheap. Although prices are high in Venice, it is very cheap to buy water and food from supermarkets and markets.

GGuest UserWe arrived at the most expensive hotel (AU$1600 for 3nts, 2 adults) we had ever stayed at, there was no lift to our room on the 1st floor. I struggled to carry 2 suitcases with no assistance from the gentleman in reception up to the 1st-floor room. This would be very difficult if we were older & unable to carry our cases. The wi-fi didn't work in the bedrooms only in the public areas - even though we were told it would. The bedroom had multiple squashed mosquitos on the walls next to the bed. The lace curtain had a couple of cigarette burns on it. The bedcover had a cigarette burn on it. The telephone handset cable was not connected to the .telephone - I tried to fix it but it wouldn't stay in the socket. The safe was not working. The instructions to use the safe were so old & worn out you couldn't read them. The shower wouldn't work properly, so I had to call the person in reception to assist us in getting it working. You had to get out of the shower cubicle to retrieve shower gel/shampoo/soap. There was nowhere in the shower to put these items. There was no room in the shower at all. I moved the stool in the bathroom to put my shower gel on it & two legs fell off the stool. The toilet roll holder wouldn't hold the toilet roll and it kept falling off. The bathroom bin was broken and filthy The breakfast ran until 10 am, the bread ran out & was not replaced & this was before 9 am. I am a travel agent & book many guests to stay in cities around the world including Venice I was upset that this hotel was an extremely poor standard and felt like it ruined the end of my beautiful holiday in Italy. We would be extremely grateful if you could offer us a credit for our next hotel booking with trip.com, we are in the process of booking our November Asia tour. Kindest regards
